"Hm, I'm not exactly sure when this whole situation happened?" Jason said as he tossed his bow onto a nearby couch, but it couldn't have been later then yesterday since most of the rocks were lying all over the place this morning. I didn't touch them because they seemed suspicious to me." Jason then crossed his arms and added, "I know you've just said something about escaping, but don't try to. I've tried and there's way too many weird things out there in the village to get around."

Lana stood by the sink, oblivious to Jessie's latest transformation. She was finished with her third glass and was holding a fourth in one hand and still scratching with the other.
"Do you think she's alright?" she asked Mary. "She has been back there a long time...."

"I don't know. Maybe we should go and check on her?" Mary suggested as she shrugged her shoulders. "My baby's been quiet for a while so hopefully nothing strange happens to me. However, I'm a little concerned about Jessie. Since she touched the rock she's had more frequent transformations than I have."

"Still we must do something! Maybe look around and see if there are any 'sane' monster people still trustworthy or surviors." Matthew protested. Still the predicament seemed rather odd and interesting at the same time. While running he had noticed strange rocks almost everywhere it was a good think he didn't touch them, and he wasn't about to any time soon either.

"Ugh.." he said strumming his guitar nervously.. "This is quite a pickle. I have some magic, bardsongs. I could put some of the monsters to sleep, but I don't know how far that would get us..." he sighed.

Lana nodded. "Prehaps it effects everyone differently?" she suggested. "Let's just hope for her sake she didn't grow any arms."
Setting down her glass she pushed away from the sink toward the room Jessie had disppeared too. Unknown to her, her belly was slightly bigger than it had been before.

Matthew calmed down and slung his guitar over his shoulder. "Tell me Jason, do you live alone?" He asked sitting cross legged on the floor. For now it seemed like a good idea to stay where he was. Though once he got his bearings the bard would venture out into the town again.

Thanks to Jason he was able to figure out the situation. So the metorites are causing people to turn into monsters, well whoever touches them...Strange. How do we not know that this might be a plan of some Alchemist or Mage? There has to be a cure too, I like the people in this village that was one of the reasons why I moved here. True I'm not around much because I travel and sing, but this little town is quiet enough and friendly enough to come home to. I've got to find a way to help these people! I owe it to them!

Mary followed behind her and said, "Yes, let's hope she didn't grow more arms..." She remembered earlier how Jessie said she did not want to be turning into a giant spider anytime soon. As she walked behind Lana she did not notice her belly grow either.

--

Meanwhile, Jason listened to Matthew talk about how they needed to find "'sane' monster people" and shook his head back and forth. "Listen dude, I've not been out there since yesterday, but there aren't any of those kinds of people, if you want to call them that, out there anymore."

He flopped down on his couch and grabbed his bow again listening to Matthew strum his guitar and sound rather down about their predicament. "I'd stop calling this situation a pickle and call this thing an opportunity. If our town's been struck by meteors maybe this thing's spread. We could very well be man kind's last hope for survival. Why? Because if we find a rather normal girls still around here somehow, well, they obviously can't refuse to be our girlfriends. The options... They are limited." A rather wily smirk curled on his lips and made him seem more evil or sinister than he really was.

"I should just keep my yap shut though and not say that kind of thing since I'm scaring you and that kind of thing, even in this case, would be impossible. We just need to focus on the way out of here, but as it is we don't have a enough people to break out, you're absolutely right in that your music wouldn't get you far..." he folded his hands across his lap resting his bow between them.

He watched Matthew sit down and said, "Yes, I live alone..."

Lana reached the door and knocked lightly. "Jessie... are you alright?" she asked peeking in. Her eyes took in the room. It was nice. Then her eyes were draw to something dark and bony in the corner. It looked like a large pair of bats wings.
Lana opened her mouth to say something but all they came out was a squeak.

Matthew snapped out of his thoughts when Jason spoke. Part of what the archer said disturbed the bard a little. He did make a point but Matthew couldn't dream of using a woman in that way, he was a romantic. He loved helping couples fall in love with his music, though he still was single himself. It was hard when many of the women around you seemed to be interested in Warriors or Mages.

"I cannot even begin to think about being the last of my kind. I love this town..the people here are so nice." He replied a slight frown upon his face. What would it feel like to be one of the few Humans in exhistance? Would the curse people capture him and keep him in a cage like he had seen so many Hunters and Monster Tamers do in the past? Maybe Jason was right, maybe it was a lost cause..

Something in his heart told him that there were still others out there. Maybe if only he could talk to some of them, reason with them. All of these thoughts were making his head hurt.

"Sorry I didn't mean to pry. I was just worried if you had a wife or child or parent that had been effected. So what do you think we should do?"
PostPosted: Sun May 20, 2012 5:59 pm

"What should we do? Well, I'm hungry and I think I'd like to go get some food." Jason said as he stood up. "Oh, and prying into my past isn't such a bad thing. I don't have family, at least that live here, so I'm trapped here alone with you. It's not so bad since we can cause so much trouble for this town. Our own kind of trouble."

He grabbed his bow and said, "I think I know someone nearby who hasn't turned into a monster. She's pretty smart so she wouldn't probably be convinced enough by anything or anyone to touch one of the rocks you passed by if she knew what they did. Her name's Mary so hopefully we can get some help from her."

--

Mary snuck up behind Lana hearing strange noises coming from Jessie's room and whispered to her while looking over Lana's shoulder, "Is that Jessie? She's transformed again... This isn't good, not good at all."

Food actually didn't sound like a bad idea, unless it was contaminated too by the metorites. What does he mean by..'our own kind of trouble'? He thought standing.

"Ok well you lead then. I'll try to put anybody to sleep if we get spotted. My magic may not be as cool as a Mages, but it get's the job done! Lead on to this Mary." Matthew smiled following the archer.

Jason nodded and led Matthew to Mary's house. They were fortunate in that no monsters had started occupying the area near it yet. "This is it!" he stated pointing to the one story house. "Mary should be inside after having gotten water this morning. If she'd seen thus far what happened out in the village I'm sure she's holed herself in there with her family members. We can probably just head for the front door and hopefully get in." Jason told Matthew, "Unless of course they've put together some measures to keep us and the monsters out. Frankly, I'd rather not get caught in their traps if they have them, so a friendly, frontal approach seems best."

"Why don't we try knocking?" He said crossing his arms. "Are you sure your friend is home though?" he asked walking up to the door. Taking a deep breath he knocked on the door. Nothing happened, taking a step back he shruged and looked at Jason waiting to see if anyone was home.

The bard was getting nervous, what would happen if Jason became a monster? He didn't want to be the only Human left in the world, but he didn't also want to join everyone in the sudden change of species. Still the mystery remained of why meteors appeared and their timing? These questions picked at his mind desperatly.

Upon knocking the door jarred open slightly and a pair of black eyes looked out. A gruff man's voice stated, "Who are you and what do you want?"

Jason answered, "It's me Jason Mary's father. I'm 100% okay and brought a friend."

Mary's father's eyes widened and he opened the door quickly. "Get in here before some monster sees us!" He grabbed Jason and pulled him inside and beckoned Matthew to follow. "I was out shopping this morning when I saw a meteor in the grocery store they were trying to clean up. I then had to watch a man buying apples turn into a pig when he accidentally brushed up against it. People panicked and I ran home and bolted up the house for the entire family. But Mary's gone, have you seen her?"

"Yes, it's me..." Jessie said timidly, having sat herself back up and just sitting there rubbing her tummy and stretching flexing her new wings occassionally while she adjusted to them. "Still think I look like those goddesses of yours?" she asked as she looked back at Lana with a sheepish smile.
