Mitsu frowned as the topic switched to insanity. It was a very serious topic indeed, one that had her worried, possibly more so for Jericho than herself. Her voices had started to fade so her situation wasn't permanent but his had progressed. Raising her hand, much like she would do in class, Mitsu tried to get the attention of Lizzy and Malodore. " We still don't quite have a handle on what causes insanity though do we?" On the Isles it had been obvious, it was from the phoenix but outside of that what was the true root of the cause? " Also, would it be possible to talk with Professor QB? Not to really mention anything about insanity but possibly arrange for a trip to the human world like last time? We could always say its for a school project or wanting to learn more about DETH and how their set ups in the human world work and at the same time allow those affected to be exposed to normal humans and their fear?" She certainly didn't consider Hunters normal humans and it was obvious they weren't.

"Ah... that is a somewhat complicated question," Malodore said, nodding to Mitsu. "From what I have observed, my theory is that Insanity itself, as a free-floating substance, is created by greatly disrupted FEAR... that, in fact, the Phoenix many of us saw on the Isles was formed from the disrupted FEAR caused by the simultaneous, traumatic dissipation of the Four Isles' inhabitants. Ordinary dissipation does not have the same result, of course, but..." It shook its head. "As for what causes the long-term infection... that I do not know. I have a few hypotheses, but nothing concrete as of yet." It was clear that this lack of data bothered the plague doctor.

The topic of insanity was making Jericho uneasy. It was partly in due to the fact that they had no real answers for it. Where he stood, he could be seen shifting about. It was fairly apparent that he was nervous. Thankfully, he didn't have any outbursts for the time being. If anyone was looking at him, he kept his own gaze away from them.
He didn't want to be stared at. He didn't want that at all.
"It might just work..." he said in regards to Mitsu's suggestion, "Is anyone here on good terms with the professor? It may be good for other students who have insanity aside from us too... If there are any."
He was sure there were. They were likely trying to lay low like himself.

Shehk should have been making an Insanity-infected-supporter support group or something if there was more than Jericho. Knowing how much stress it just put on her was enough for Shehk to know that there was likely more than just her feeling that burden.
"I've been trying to look into where QB is since the situation changed for the worse and I was informed of the potential...treatment." she wasn't going to call it a cure if a year later the Heirs - Protectors, now - were still infected amongst other things. Still, Jericho's antsiness did cause Shehk to look away from the dragon. She wanted to go to him and try to be a support and yet she knew it would likely have the opposite effect of what she wanted.
Damn.

Inu-Mitsu " Also, would it be possible to talk with Professor QB? Not to really mention anything about insanity but possibly arrange for a trip to the human world like last time? We could always say its for a school project or wanting to learn more about DETH and how their set ups in the human world work and at the same time allow those affected to be exposed to normal humans and their fear?" "That's a great suggestion! I'm actually trying to look for Professor QB... Uh, as a mentor. I'll bring it up to him when I find him though!" She nodded, offering Mitsu a smile, "The fact that most of us are Hobs now... Might actually give us a better shot at entering the human world for scaring purposes."

Mitsu nodded gravely. It was a little nerve wracking not knowing the true cause of insanity because not knowing still meant they were all at risk. Any one of them could easily stumble upon the cause unknowingly and become permanently infected.
It was at least good to hear that she might have had a good idea. "I'm willing to go or even claim it as a project if you want a cover." She liked school work, studying, and in general learning so it wasn't too out there. "Otherwise I will try and help figure out what I can about it."

"Thank you, Mitsu! Maybe we can do that," She nodded before turning her attention back to everyone, "This is the end of this meeting, since it does not seem like there are any further questions... Remember that you can come speak to any of us at anytime! A brief summary of this meeting will be posted up on the Seeds Forum within the week, but remember not to talk about it in public."
She bowed her head, straightened up, and walked over to a another door - different from the one they entered from, "You can exit through here, try to split up when there's a fork in the path. If you keep walking in one direction, you should find yourself back at the dorm entrance. Thank you all again for attending this meeting... You'll hear back from us about the mission soon."
That night, several phones would buzz with a text from 'Admin'.TEXT Hello! Thank you for volunteering to be on this mission; due to being on a tight schedule, the briefing will be done via this text. An of all participating members, and their roles, had also been sent. Please memorize the names and faces of the students, and then delete this attachment.
The leader of this mission is Shehk, and you will be expected to listen to her orders if any sort of situation arises. In case we are found out, protect the self first - hide away if you can. The lesser of us are found out, the better! That way, there will be a lower risk of associating us to an 'organization' of any kind, rather than just 'a group of nosy students'. Nobody is to mention 'Seeds'.
Meet outside Red's Office at 2.34am sharp.
Thank you, and good luck to all of us.

The discussion's turn towards Insanity was expected, he supposed, but not any less uncomfortable. He shifted, anxious, and turned his gaze downward in hopes of avoiding anyone else's. Logic told him that Ash was dangerous. Volatile. But he still didn't want him to get hurt, despite the hurt he'd caused Thackery already. Drawing heavily public attention to his...condition would potentially mean bad things - for everyone - and he didn't want that either. So he waited until many of them were already gone, hanging back to catch Lizzy and Malodore. He looked to them with sincerity, with worry, and spoke with a knot in his throat. "Hi, I. Well, first...thank you for trying to help with the Insanity. I know it's a really scary thing, and I think it's brave of you to try to fight it. Ash, he..." He paused, teeth clenched at he fought with himself, insisting that he wouldn't show such awful vulnerability to them. He was strong. He could do this. "He has it. It's really bad. It's getting worse. And I don't know what to do anymore, but I'm willing to help in any way I can. Any time you need me, just text or drop by my room. If there's anything I can do...and it doesn't matter what it takes, anything...I'll help." He offered as genuine a smile as he could muster. "Oh. And, um. I do know that...kissing it doesn't make it go away."

She was initially surprised to see that someone had hung back after the meeting, but when Thackery explained why, that surprise shifted to worry; so, other than Jericho and Riley... There really were others?
And not a recent case too...
"Ash?" She frowned; the name was an unfamiliar one, but judging from Thackery's reaction... This 'Ash' must be someone really important to him. Her expression softened, and she wrapped her arms around him, giving him a hug, "Don't worry, the two of you are not alone in this... Not anymore."

"Ah... yes, that last point, I had... I had established that," Malodore said, quietly. Its heart squeezed painfully - this small, brave boil might well be in the same position it was before too much longer. "I will let you know if you can assist in any way - I understand, ah. The way you feel," it finished, awkwardly. It did; it just hurt to think about.

He frowned, thoughtful, trying to find the words that best fit a description of him. Saying that he was everything wasn't going to help anything, and he wasn't here to be difficult. "Ash, um." He stood as tall as he could manage and stretched his arm way up high. "Really tall! He's a reaper. He wears a helm. He's my...was my..." Well, he had no idea what to call him now. So he skipped that, wrapping grateful arms around Lizzy to return her hug. "Thank you. Thank...both of you. It means a lot to me." He reached to touch Mal's sleeve, smiling apologetically. Of course it had known. Of course it would have tried that. "And I'm sorry for not saying anything earlier. I promised I wouldn't. But that was dumb. And I hope it didn't hurt things more than I already know it did." With another tiny smile, he turned to leave, telling himself that this was what they needed to do to start fixing it. To start fixing everything. ((thank you! *LOVES* <333))
