[ death]

They thought about being young, and not having accomplished their mission. They thought about their life being aimless, and their devotion to the family too short-sighted, and one-sided. They thought about thousands of books they wouldn’t have time to read now; days of blooming cherry-trees they wouldn’t enjoy; countless worlds they hadn’t gone into; countless dreams they hadn’t dreamt. All that had been movement and light and dance and battle and emotion and bloom was now darkness and immobility, and hard as Wylfenne was grasping at their memories of being alive, it was falling into nothingness now. Were they sorry? Were they pitying themselves? Not too much. The fading mind wondered lazily whether it was a trap and betrayal on behalf of the Clan of Death, whether they just wanted to eliminate Amityville and whether it was just pure bad luck that guest students happened to participate in the training. While waiting for the complete blackout they also thought about other students – would anyone be able to survive, or was it all pointless and staged?

You b***h! wailed their other, male, half. You can’t even die properly! Aren't you too soon to give up? Wasn’t it too evident that the first and only experience on the Island of Death would be Death itself? Get up! The voice went on, imploring them to show to that band of occults that they were not over yet. Now they were angry, angry with the humans that somehow got too quick and too strong, angry with themselves to have been defeated by a human (or actually, his horse which was even worse); angry with the Death clan to cast them off like garbage without any warning into the battle with the humans – was it a repetition of the mysterious last battle with the humans they kept talking about; angry with their family to have sacrificed them so lightly….

And then they tried to get up and to fight again, and they felt someone was staring with pity at them, and they asked themselves whether they looked pitiful, but the body was too slow, too clumsy, numb with that dumbness of death, and they managed to make one last movement, but the horse that trapped them under it was too heavy, and they just turned awkwardly, and yet another bone cracked, and then it was all over and they were gaping blindly at the brilliant blue sky as if surprised it was all too short and if they fought well and if there was anything afterwards.

How difficult was it to lose a giant black dog? Fairly easy, apparently. When Dev turned around to face Tybalt again, she found the student gone and out of sight, most likely somewhere else on the battlefield she couldn’t quite reach. Her lips twisted into another displeased frown. Somehow, she had gained the unfortunate ability to lose any students who decided to team up with her. She hummed, crouching low to avoid the humans’ attention as she stalked through the battlefield. By now, the cu sith had grown somewhat accustomed to the constant clash of blades and pained yells. She tuned out the noise while she weaved through the crowd, occasionally hitting the humans with her shield to provide a moment of weakness that often proved to be their downfall.

There was a particularly loud shout behind her, but Dev chose to ignore it. It was highly unlikely it was directed toward her. She yelped when hot pain shot through her back. Although the hold on her shield loosened, she stubbornly held onto it as she looked down at the spear embedded in her, the blade poking out from her stomach. She closed her eyes for a moment, howling angrily as her weapon clattered to the ground. She had disappeared.

She could hear so many voices around her, they were so faint and convoluted. She couldn't make out anything that was being said. She just knew that as each second passed, they grew quieter. The ghoul knew it wasn't because they were moving away, but because she was fading out of existence. Her breaths were so shallow that she doubted anyone would notice she was still trying to inhale. She couldn't see, and she couldn't really feel anymore. Pain had literally replaced every other feeling, so much so that she had just become numb.

Whisper's thoughts were of nothing. Her mind was blank. She couldn't bring herself to think. She just knew that this was her last few moments. She was alone, and that was ok. She let the inky blackness of death take hold of her, sinking into what felt like an ocean. This was it, her last moment. Her final exhale. It was over. She had dissipated into nothingness.

( Death, cont. from here )

He lay on the cool ground, much like he had near the beginning of this nightmare. Dirt pressed against his cheek, the rich smell of earth--and blood-- enveloping his senses. Back then, a song had breathed life and hope back into him; he had gotten to his feet and picked up his weapon. But not this time. This time, Ouranos knew it was for real.

There was pain, yes, but it was distant and dull-- like it had happened to a body that wasn't his. Every part of his being felt disconnected, from each other, from reality; his mind was a haze, drifting past bits and pieces of the ordeal he'd just went through. Death and near-deaths, revivals and guardians... what was Medea trying to say to them? That death was inevitable, no matter how many times you cheated it? That all you could do in the end was face it and look it bravely in the eye? That was what Ouranos had accomplished today, after an eternity of running. But in the end, he had stopped running. He had accepted that he was not a warrior, and did the best that he could... and that was really all he could ask of himself.

His consciousness was fading into nothing. Ouranos exhaled, but not in fear or sadness-- in peace. It was finally time to go.

Lou was honestly a little more excited than he had been on the isle of conquest. Things around here seemed more.. Well, more badass. He liked that. It was up his alley. Hooded robes and mysterious figures? Hell yeah. A tune popped into his head as their 'teacher' approached. Something about ooo eee ooo ahh ahh ting tang walla walla bing bang? Yeaaaah. He liked that tune.

"Oh boy, doors. Pick a door, any door!" The boil chirped, more to himself than any of the students around him. Hands in his pockets, he grinned and skipped right on in. Charms and incense had been easy. Maybe this would actually be...

Fun?

Where the hell were they? What the hell was this? Had she just used some weird voodoo s**t on them? All he could really say was "Daaaaymn." Centaurs running wild! Carnage all around! Whispers of humans and bases! Old school nudity! What was all this? Pick a weapon? b***h, he WAS a weapon! oh well. Might as well go with a good old fashioned sickle. Though rightfully Lou wasn't exactly proficient with weapons. He was probably holding it all wrong, though he assumed it was just a dumb simulation spell anyways. They had that, right?

Right?

Let the records show that only once in a blue moon did Lou take something seriously, and unfortunately, there was no moon in sight. As all the other 'troops' readied, the boil swung his sickle around, making little clinging and clanging noises as if he had never aged past 5.

When it appeared they were finally ready to move, the boil stopped his immature children's games and looked up. "Yeah! Lets go kill their sons and steal their wives!" In a good old fashioned pillaging spirit to go with a good old fashioned war.

The whole time they marched, Lou never stopped smiling. "Are we there yet?" He would call from time to time, just to piss everyone off, and when their destination was finally reached, he stared down at the humans with avid interest. So THAT was a human then? Well hot damn!

As the calvary ran into action, the vampire decided it would be proper to make the sounds of a trumpet, immediately slashing off one head of the first human who crossed his path. Woah! That felt hella real!

... COOL!

Some people just liked to watch the world burn, and it was quite obvious Lou was one of them. People charged at him, and he, in turn, chopped off one of their limbs! Hah! It was delicious. He had PERMISSION to do this! The blood spray, the scent of it wafting through the air drove his mind to the edge of insanity. He was tired. Or, was he not? It didn't matter! This was a horrorshow of a time.

Though after what seemed like a decade on the battlefield, the vampire panted needlessly as he held his sickle with both arms, the droplets of scarlet across his cheeks beautifully accenting his monochromatic body. He couldn't go on. He wanted to. He wanted to make their heads roll, but...

Wait. Was that singing? Oh, lovely. It was... Invigorating. It made him want to go smash more heads in!

And then Lou became surrounded. "Oy, ye blood suckin' leech. C'mere and let us have some 'o yer crimson." One of the older, gray haired men mumbled. It appeared that he had lost an eye. Standing on either side of him looked to be his younger sons. Ah, a family. How quaint.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Are you accusing me of hogging all the blood? Because I'm pretty sure you're full of it yourself. I-" Before Lou could finish what would most likely be a crude or ironic turn of words, the two sons charged at him, causing the boil to recoil. Not soon enough though. His cockiness earned him a good hit across the face from a pair of chains.

A low growl rose from the vampire's throat, not bothering to check his throbbing wounds. Instead, he lunged for the man that undoubtedly raised his two attackers with love and care, raising his sickle to the man's head. "The family that stays together gets slain together." It was a rather pathetic comeback, but it made the boil feel better. And when the two other human spawn, struck with grief bowed over the remains of their father, Lou struck them down too, but not before the last one slashed one of his legs. Damn it to hell that hurt!

It would seem the man's family hadn't ended with two sons. More of them charged to Lou's side like flies to a festering wound. "You'll pay for what you've done!"

"Monster! You filthy monster!"

"You're nothing but a heartless husk! Man will always rise above his oppressors!"

They were all cliche lines Lou seemed to recall having heard on the SkeeV, and none appeared to affect him. He just... Kept... Smiling. "Sticks and stones may break my bones... BUT YOU WILL NEVER KILL ME." Never say never. It was a rule of Lou's he'd temporarily forgotten. The scent of battle completely filled him. Every inch of his being was absorbed in the taste of war, and through the excruciating pain, a feeling of overwhelming satisfaction arose.

By the time he had finished with this wave, Lou's own blood now dripped down his face, threatening to blind him should he tilt his head the wrong way. His legs. One of them was badly damaged, but for some reason he couldn't stop himself. He had to move on. Had to continue the carnage.

And there Lou stood, brused, beaten, and bleeding, directly in front of the man who would ultimately be his demise. A man mounted on a glorious white steed which had the same dark red droplets decorating its sturdy frame. Truly a sight to behold, even through Lou's spiral eyes.

"Have at you, creature of darkness!" The valiant knight exclaimed, brandishing his weapon directly at Lou.

The vampire was having a hard time seeing, but he could still smell and hear the man. Why was he fighting? It didn't matter. There was something magical about the potential to take another life. Humans didn't respawn, did they?

Which meant he was permanently ending an existence.

Glorious. Just glorious! "Have at you, worthless human!" Lou snarled, his elongated fangs shimmering in the light of the gruesome scene.

As the horse let out it's shrieking cry, the vampire readied himself, pointed ears on the ready for the sound of clopping. When it was just close enough, he jumped as high as his good leg would allow and latched onto the steed, the battle taking place on it's back. Lou clawed and grasped at it as he swung the sickle at his master. The man managed to cut Lou's neck open, but in the end, the vampire claimed his worthy opponent's life.

When the foe fell off his horse, so did Lou. He laid there in a futile attempt to regain his strength... Only to meet with the hooves of a creature he had forgotten about.

There was a light humming noise in the background, someone singing softly, and then the sound of light running water. When the students finally solidified back to awareness, the first thing they would see-

- What could simply be deemed paradise on its own terms. A large open fountain in the center of a long marble pavilion, the endless blue sky looming above them. Brilliant white statues, immortalized marble figures of heroes, of their kind, decorated with generous amounts of green and white foliage.

The singing stopped as students turned around to stare at their new bearings. "It will be alright," a soft voice soothed, "You will be back home soon, so close your eyes and rest."

Your character can decide to rest, this next part is entirely optional and only there if students wish to pursue this timeline's storyline further. If your student decides to stay awake, they can ask this NPC questions about this timeline. Simply go HERE, where a GM PRP still in that timeline, at this setting, will continue. It is assumed that the GM PRP happened while other students fell asleep, OOCly the tags may take longer than when the next post is up, simply treat the timeline as THIS GM POST --> THE OPTIONAL THREAD POST --> THE NEXT GM (DOOR 2 POST) IN THIS THREAD.
- If you are choosing to do the optional RP, you will need to go post there (as you wish/ ask questions/ rp there as you wish, and still make a reaction post by reading the below for DAY 2 OF CLASS)
- If your student opts to go back to sleep, continue reading below and skip out on the optional GM PRP immediately to DAY 2 OF CLASS

When the students woke up again, everything was once again white. And there stood Medea, cloak folded around her, one hand gently pressed against the second of the three doors. "Now is not the time for questions, not when the answers are already forming in your minds," she slowly pushed the door open, "You question yourself, who you are, who we are, what we are, and-"

-The load roar as a strange train screeched past the students, the harsh acrid smell and taste of metal taking over their senses. It was dark again, dank and noisy, the entire place filled with electric hisses and screeches.

-"Watch your actions." A shadowy figure stood next to a taller, more gaunt figure, the two of them carrying out a rather public conversation. The speaking figure turned to point towards the students and behind him, at the masses of teaming warriors, of the Four Clans warriors waiting patiently behind them, armed with their own weapons, all uniformly dressed in dark armoured outfits. "Make sure you make quick work of the Hunters, eliminating them now will prevent trouble later."

The taller, thinner figure simply nodded. "While your bossing around of my clan may be endearing to some, I simply find it ah, annoying. So please, be assured that I will uphold my end of the bargain if you would be so kind as to, of course, take our position. Unless, of course you find some sort of pleasure in babysitting me."

A sharp glare from the first. "I simply am echoing instructions, I have no doubt that you will perform what is required of you. Now I know that you have other pl-"

"Shhh." One gnarled finger pointed upwards. "Perhaps we can continue the discussion away from prying eyes or ears, later. For now, there is work to be done."

"Of course." The first figure simply dissolved into thick black mist, taking wing out of the strange tunnel.

A moment of silence, and what sounded suspiciously like the crinkling of plastic. The second of the figures, a tall hooded Four Clans representative was shoveling some sort of food item that said the words Crunchie into the abyss that was supposedly their face. They finished off their snack in a few more bites before brushing the crumbs off their cloak before taking out a single gold pocket watch, snapping it open, and then closed. "Well, household chores first. Work now, play later." They put the watch back. "You are under orders to leave no survivors, and I am simply here to supervise. Now off you go, don't wait here with me. I insist really, go find those intruders and have fun."

The students would notice that they too were dressed in the same simple uniform, kept to their student forms, carrying small bladed weapons. The others did not seem to notice at all if any of the students seemed out of place as they began to move down the tunnel, leaving the gaunt figure behind.

It only took a few steps longer before there was a sharp glow of light, and the loud sloshing of footsteps not their own. Wordlessly, the Four Clans soldiers grouped together, in clusters, formations, solid black figures indecipherable from the shadows.

And when the group appeared, the humans: familiar to some students exactly what type of humans by the weapons they held-

- It was becoming increasingly clear that this was a slaughter.

THE SECOND DOOR (DAY 2 OF CLASSES)

- Your character is now in the tunnels. Please read the prompt above, and respond accordingly.
- They can choose to attack the ??? Humans below. If they do, they need to roll a 100-sided dice. Select ATTACKING or WATCHING from the options. After you have finished three rolls per student, the battle is assumed OVER (for your student's timeline at least).

1- 20: You see a few shadows drop downwards, attacking a few of the humans - the ones with the strange glowing weapons. The ones without them drop easily, but the ones with the weapons fight back. A few Four Clans soldiers are killed.
ATTACKING: You move to attack them, and take a few considerable cuts from the humans before backing away into the shadows.
WATCHING: You do nothing, and simply observe these strange humans especially the ones with the weapons that are extremely tenacious.
21- 40: You see several Four Clans soldiers group together to take a single human wielding a weapon down. You heir their shrieks as they go down, the scent of blood, the aura of their Fear in the last moments, and then a strange hollow clatter.
ATTACKING: You join in on the attack in the ??? human's last moments
WATCHING: You simply watch, but can't help but enjoy the Fear the dying human gives off.
41- 60: You see a particularly strong human take down several Four Clans members with a large glowing weapon with the ability to push creatures backwards with a single swipe. Several Four Clans members attempt to take them down but all dissipate.
ATTACKING: You try to move in for the attack, an arc of blue light nearly dissipates you, but you roll away at the last minute to avoid the brunt of the damage
WATCHING: You watch them work, and make note to avoid that human, surprised that they can see you
61 - 80: You note how the Four Clans members are picking up the weaponless humans first. You see one cornered, afraid.
ATTACKING: Immediately, you go in for the kill, their death is swift, if not bloody
WATCHING: You watch as someone else immediately goes in for the kill. They are gone in seconds.
81- 100: You hear a strange gurgling noise - there is a half-dead human lying on the ground, injured. You walk over towards them...
ATTACKING: You put them out of their misery in one fell swipe
WATCHING: You watch as they close their eyes and finally stop struggling. Humans are so frail....

The moment they materialized inside the tunnels, Faustus knew this must be the human world. He had never seen such a thing in Halloween, and the more he thought of it, this was the Clan of Death ... these strange illusions were probably some on-hands experience to teach them the importance and meaning of Death, in both the Halloween and human world.

Again, they were dressed in the strange Four Clans uniform, though it looked a bit different now. Instead of light, tan robes, they were each wearing dark, heavy armor. It wasn't long before they were dismissed to the battlefield, and Faustus paused among the ranks to stare to the mass of humans gathered across from him. They had strange, glowing weapons, and the longer he stared the more the boil noticed several shadowy-wisp-like figures weaving down from the darkness above. Improperly armed humans were easily picked off, carried away and slaughtered, as the more FEARsome armed ones fought back with their strange glowing weapons, actually managing to snipe a few of the Four Clan's members.

Faustus stared with a certain curiosity. Could he possibly be living the events written on the walls of the cavern deep beneath Conquest?? ... These uniforms were all the same, yet he could tell certain clans-men beside him must come from separate clans. If that was true, there must a similar place filled with ...

Faustus shivered.

Filled with an unknown amass of raw FEAR just like Conquest.

The thought sickened him, but the demon retained his composure.

Faustus's gaze turned as he noticed a figure in the crowd of human soldiers. A rather large and capable human was swinging his glowing weapon rather daftly, causing the clans-men before him to be propelled backwards. They quickly dissipated. Along with any others that stepped forward.

The color drained from his face. He could still feel the effects of that human horseman as he lay trapped beneath his horse. The boil wanted nothing to do with this human, and took a few solid steps back. The figure's head turned in his direction, but he made no move. Yet. Faustus was surprised he could even see him. After all, they were reliving a past event, weren't they?? ...

{{Attacking}}

It was strange ... the longer Faustus watched, the more he realized, the clans members seemed to be aiming for the unarmed humans over the heavy artillerymen. It made sense; this was a battle, and if you would want to defeat the enemy, utilizing their weakness was probably the quickest way.

His eyes shifted, noting a rather scrawny unarmed soldier quivering in one corner. Without even thinking really, Faustus moved in, striking out with his blade. The attack was swift and clean, and the figure crumpled to the ground in a limp heap.

But ... why was he doing this?? ... it was as though something invisible, beyond his own body was controlling it. His mind was perfectly aware he had just killed a human ... in fact, he could feel the fresh FEAR from him seeping into his bones, yet something in the boil's mind still told him this was wrong ...

The sky seemed to go on forever, and yet Shehk didn't feel any heaviness in her body. Any exhaustion. Somehow it felt different from how she normally did upon waking after dissipation. It felt nice. She took a deep breath, scenting the foliage with a sort of tender joy to her features. It smelled so...nice.

She sat up, looking up towards the sky before the singing that went through the sky suddenly went silent. At the urging of the voice, Shehk was all too willing to close her eyes and go back to sleep at the urging. Sleep was nice when she could get it, after all.

The scenery wasn't as nice the second time she woke up the next time, frowning as she sat up in the whiteness that had come before the first door. Nevertheless, she stood up, dusting herself off and regaining her presence as much as she could, despite the fact that the fact she had questions in her mind that she was being told she would find her own answers to.

Did she....did she like the idea of the answers that would be coming?

This new location offended her nose, to be honest. It offended her ears...hell, it offended all of her senses, and Shehk found that it was difficult to not be making a face as things seemed to progress, her ears flicking between the two individuals who were speaking, trying to take in what was happening there while taking in the scenery.

That train was nothing like she'd seen in Halloween...was it..was it something else? Were they in... no, that would have been silly, and yet there seemed to be a pattern forming. When their group was motioned towards, Shehk turned to look behind her, nearly falling out of the strange formation they'd been put into when she saw the group of warriors standing amongst them - or rather, the students were standing amongst -them-.

Hunters?

They were eliminating hunters?

This was an odd class indeed, and yet there was something in her blood that boiled at the mention of that single word.

'Hunters'. They were at fault for what was happening to her friends. Her classmates. What had happened to Red.... even with the change of uniform, she ran her hand over to the piece of bone she wore around her wrist, frowning lightly.

It was only then she realized she held a weapon in her hand, turning it over carefully. It was a sword? A dagger? It was bladed, and yet she held no doubt in her ability to possibly wield it - and it seemed she would be put to use wielding it. Was this a hallucination?

Soon the numbers began to move, and Shehk began to move with them - curious.

((Attack 1))

Indeed, Shun had many questions, but he remained silent at Medea's request. She was right. He would probably find the answers soon enough. He would be patient. As they were guided through the next door, he could hear a barrage of many different sounds from the previous one. A train had zoomed on past the lot and from that he could tell they were someplace completely different. It had a much more urban feel to it.

Hearing some snippets of conversation, the reaper turned to see a few shadowy figures, narrowing his eyes at the mention of Hunters. he wasn't really sure what the two were talking about exactly, with bargains and whatnot, but it was obvious that there were hunters approaching. That aside, he noticed that his attire had changed. He was wearing a similar uniform to the strangers around. And it seemed that he was carrying a few blades.

Furrowing his brow at this, he soon turned as a bright glowing light appeared. People were coming. And there was no doubt that these were hunters, given the weapons they wielded.Brandishing the blades he had received, he readied himself for battle. The hunters would receive no mercy. After all, they had never received any from them.

As he moved in, he noticed off to the right that one of the Clansmen were going after the weaponless ones first. It seemed strange to him at first, that the hunters would bring those without weaponry. He had never seen one without them. Perhaps it was just a ruse. Something to hopefully bring down their guard. Not too far off, he spotted one particular human looking rather afraid. Was this one of them? The battle was raging on and quite frankly there was no time to really think of it.

Without any further hesitation, he moved in and stabbed the human in the heart before twisting the blade violently. Ripping the weapon out of her, he could feel the splatter of her blood against his hand and arm. She dropped down, dead before she could even hit the ground.
