"...I think I rather be in the maze than embarrassing myself in front of everyone like I did a few minutes ago," he said with a small embarrassed blush as his hands moved to smooth down the front of his uniform. He blinked up over at Marcus and shrugged a bit, "I don't tend to brag much, I guess. I just...I earned it and that was that, right?"
He wrinkled his nose a little bit, "Other than that...I'm just dealing with ... personal things."
Yep personal.
He kind of turned the tambourine about in his hand as his eyes turned to watch a couple of the others, "You didn't come to seriously try out?"

Wilson gave Rep a saddened look at the mention of glasses. Glasses were cool. He turned toward Jerry. Glasses were cool—depending on the style.
Wait, had Rin just winked at him? He blinked a couple times in her direction. What was that smirk for? Wilson threw her a slightly confused smile in return. A smile couldn’t hurt, right? There was a questioning look in his eyes. He tilted his head to the left. What’re you doing? But Rin probably didn’t read minds, so Wilson went back to talking to Dakota. “So you were auditioning for the band-choir thing? With Nsync?” He paused. “You couldn’t have done any other song?”

Well, it seemed the auditions had calmed down for now, and people were having a good time socializing. Jerry beamed. There were donuts, not a drop of liquor in sight, and everyone brought together through the power of friendship and music and oh god, his chest was going to burst.
"Molly! Otto!" He finally barked out in enthusiasm, "C'mon, let's give them some background music!" Stooping to snatch up his guitar from Harrison's clutches again, he didn't wait for them to pick up their own instruments before giving an excited series of chords and a beginning rhythm.
Audition Rolls will return after this musical/party time break!

Clerise finally got tired of not being able to HEAR the conversation. She had a spare donut still, from being a glutton. She ventured to where Wilson one, kicking him lightly. He looked so...crestfallen. Pastries would help. "Hey. Sweet thing, gasmask boy?"
Wordlessly, she went back to watching Deus of Our Lives. Her own tv show to watch! OH BOY, and one of the stars was Handsome! The Handsome she'd sparred.
Beautiful.

Molly yelped in surprise as Jerry called out her name, and immediately she was fumbling with her fiddle case to retrieve her instrument once more.
She readied her fiddle, took a moment to bob her head in tune to the song Jerry happened to be playing, and then accompanied him. Wow, she hadn’t had this much fun…in a really, really long time. The Mist trainee looked over to Otto, seeing if the boy would join in on their jam session.

Someone kicked him, but at least it was a light blow. “Yeah?” Wilson turned around, his eyes lighting up and smiling widely at the sight of Clerise. “Hi Clerise!” He immediately zoned in on the pastry she offered him. Was it possible for Wilson look even happier than he was now? “For me? Really?” Did he sound genuinely touched at this? He took the doughnut and took a bite. FFFFF YES. Sweets always made things better. Always. “Thanks!” he managed to say between mouthfuls, although now he was beginning to look like a chipmunk with nuts in its cheeks.
Plus there was background music. Very nice. A satiated Wilson joined Clerise in watching.

"It's a ******** warcrime to let you be unhappy," she said, jabbing him in the ribs with her elbow. Brushing a spot of powdered sugar off WIlson's nose, Clerise just smiled.
"Turns out I can swipe donuts when whirligirl isn't paying attention," she explained, grave.
Sugar was serious business.

Sasha was thrilled when the music started again, clapping her hands with childlike glee as she moved to stand next to Clerise, waving Sydney over to join them.
"Did someone say donuts?" Sasha beamed at Clerise before turning to Wilson, eyebrows lifted.

Jordan wandered back over to stand near Clerise, having acquired a donut and regained some of his composure, and regarded the exchange between Rep and Harrison with amusement. It did improve his mood to find that he wasn't the only one being messed with. "You'd think it was a personal insult," he said to Clerise.

He called me incredible, Syd said, still reeling from Jerry's praise. He said I was incredible.
Izy! That's impolite! He's just... very enthusiastic, Syd told him, flushing brightly because it was times like this that she couldn't help but agree somewhat with her partner, even though he was saying something she would NEVER say herself.
And she knew he was being serious because he never said her name.
But... they don't seem that picky here, she thought as she headed to Sasha, having been summoned. It IS rather hard to get music, you know!
Well... yes...

Sydney was quickly handed a paper-towel wrapped donut paired with a bright, beaming smile.
"You did amazing, Sydney. I'm just. So happy you're here. Isn't it just wonderful? I never knew there were so many talented people here. Did you see the drums? And Molly, I just can't get enough of her fiddling. It's just beautiful. And Harrison and the guitar."
Sasha clasped her hands to her chest.
"I'm so proud of Jerry. He's shining, it's just.. oh, it's just amazing, d-don't you think?"
Was Sasha acting like the proudest mama hen ever? Yes, yes she was.

Otto turned his head as Jerry called out to him and Molly. He was still sitting behind his drum set when Jerry and Molly began to play away, and simply waited to understand the rhythm before laying out the beat.
Despite being a kid who preferred face paced rock, he did a good job playing along to whatever the Jerr-Monster was playing.
Hey.. this is kind of fun..
