After his faceplant, Larry popped his head out of the ground and spit up a log of mud. Out came the toothbrush as Larry scrapped the dirt out. Meanwhile, Night would be wiggling his feet in the air as he was stuck in the dirt. After finishing his little routine, Larry went over and plucked out Night, who simply Hoothooted at Larry. Holding the Pokémon gave Larry an idea. Graham was getting breakfast and what not so Larry decided to train while he waited.

Circling around the building, Larry found Pepper and Sunny chatting it up. Smiling deviously, Larry ran up to Sunny with Hoothoot raised and threw him into the Snivy. This makeshift tackle caught all three Pokémon off guard, Night being bounced off Sunny & Sunny getting sent sliding across the floor. Catching the Hoothoot, Larry grinned at the now fuming Snivy. "Battle Training 101," Larry said. "Vine Whip!"

Raising Night, Larry threw the bird at Pepper now. The attack wounded the level 2 bird more and subsequently made Pepper angrier. Both Pokémon came at Larry with tackle and peak, but Larry countered by sending out a growl from Night. Pepper and Sunny both stopped in their tracks at the noise. Unable to fight it, both Pokémon were sucked in their balls, though Sunny popped out moments later.

She was so angry now that she gave the two such a leer that they froze in their tracks. All of a sudden, Sunny would begin to raise her vines from the ground. A grin quickly came on Larry's face. However, as she tried to attack with them, they fell to the ground and were retracted. Even so, Sunny still came at the two with tackles. When Graham finally came out, he'd find Larry running from his Snivy.

"Sure that's great let's go," Larry said quickly, running past Graham. Heading for the woods, Sunny would continue chasing the two. She caught Night rather quickly since he was nocturnal, but she had to work to get Larry.

Thanks to the boost from Graham (that traitor), Sunny was sent crashing into Larry in a hard tackle. "Nooooo," Larry said as he flew forward in super slow motion. Sunny threw a grateful smile towards Graham and his Mudkip for helping her, making her almost look kind & gentle. Unfortunately, Larry would get the same treatment. Flying in slowmotion, Larry saw a Spearrow flying in front of him.

"Noooo!" he shouted in slowmo voice. "Not the Spearrow!" The bird looked to Larry in surprise as he came crashing onto it and flattening it like a pancake. Speeding up to normal speed, Larry would get off the flattened Spearrow with a nervous look on his face. Popping back into normal, Spearrow flapped its wings angrily at Larry. Moments later, it attacked.

Launching forward, the bird pecked wildly at Larry. "Pepper help me!" he called to the Taillow. She was reluctant, but she finally let out a sigh and came for Spearow, pecking at it wildly. The two began to exchange pecks to the point that Larry got bored. "Actually," he said, returning Pepper, "I think I'll go with Sunny. Alright partner use Leer."

Snivy pouted but did as she was told, her eyes glowing intimadatingly. Spearow flinched in fear, allowing Larry to send in Sunny with a tackle. The bird went flying back with the attack & Larry prepared for capture. However, the Spearow had flown off before it was weak enough for capture. "Aww," Night whined.

Unfortunately, things never really went according to plan. For some reason, a-- Hold on. Was that a Shiny Ralts?!

"GAAAAAAAAME!" Graham said irritably, shaking his fist at the sky. It was just like this in video games! Some awesome thing would always happen when he didn't have the supplies for it. Either that or it was after some intense fight and the game trolled you with an even stronger boss before you could even heal successfully (cough cough Tales of Symphonia in the Tower of Salvation). Seriously? There wasn't anything he could do about this one at all.

And so it ran away, little arms raised to the sky as it scurried, terrified of the irritation levels building up within the boy. It was clearly over 9000! Course, it didn't help that there were morons everywhere. Larry, for instance.

Graham glanced over at Larry at his comment about the Ralts, then declared they go hunting for Ralts. Was that supposed to be a replacement for the Ghosts or something?

With a sigh, he reached towards his belt before he let out his own Ralts. Lloyd glanced around before walking towards Graham and clinging to his leg, looking up at Larry.

"Sorry, but I already have a Ralts. I don't have any more Pokeballs to catch any more Pokemon." he replied with a shrug, supporting Kippers with one hand.

After petting Lloyd and calming down the Psychic-type, he returned him to his Pokeball. "I think I should probably start making my way to the gym though. By the way, your eyes are on fire. Literally. Kippers, put them out with a Water Gun."

The Mudkip opened his mouth and fired off another blast of water towards Larry's face to put out his 'fiery eyes'.

Graham raised an eyebrow when Larry got up like the Water Gun had no effect on him, then scooped up a wild Skitty. It was odd seeing the cat not even try to escape from the boy's clutches. Like... it should at least be trying to claw at him like the cat-furret things from Skyward Sword at night, not be completely docile like the cat-furret things during the day.

This guy... he must hacking the system or something. But then again, Skitty were known to chase their tails like it was nobody's business, so maybe it was going to behave.

"Cool. Why don't you try catching it?" Graham mused. "Then you can hold it like that forever, rather than humoring it while it's still wild and then attacking you when it grows bored of you."

With a shrug, Graham pulled out Kipper's Pokeball and returned the Mudkip to his ball. "I'm going to go head to the gym. I'm not that confident I'll win since I haven't had any Trainer battles yet, but even if I lose experience is still experience. I'll catch you later."

And with that, he headed back towards town to fight the Gym Leader.

"O.k.," Larry said as Graham left. "Catch you later then...speaking of catch." Looking at the Skitty, he put the Pokemon down so she could go back to doing nothing. Standing up, Larry strolled over to Sunny. "Alright Skitty," he said, turning around. "I'm gonna catch you now." Sensing a battle, the Skitty meowed with a more serious tone, getting into a battle position. Obviously this wasn't her first battle with a trainer. "Alright Sunny, use leer!" Larry called out. With glowing eyes, Sunny would scare the Skitty a bit, lowering her defense. "Tackle," Larry called out. Launching forward, Sunny would now slam hard into the adorable Skitty. Letting out a meow of pain as she was sent flying, the Skitty got up with anger in her eye. Opening her mouth, she let out a loud growl that made both of them cover their ears. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Skitty launched towards Sunny before jumping into the air. Sunny flinched as Skitty was suddenly infront of her. Much to her surprise, the Skitty didn't ram her. Instead she just clapped her paws together, sending out a shock wave that sent the Snivy flying backwards. She had used Fake Out. Sunny hit the floor hard, but she got up and shook it off. "Tackle," Larry called out. Running forward, Sunny aimed a tackle at the cat. However, Skitty countered with a tackle of her own. Both Pokemon collided and were sent backwards immediately. However, being the weaker Pokemon, Skitty was more damaged by the collision. Taking out a Pokeball, Larry prepared for capture.

Frowning at the Tympole moving away, Alyss decided to keep on moving through Route 2. There were surely some more Pokemon that she could capture and add to her team. She also thought about how her team was set up and figured that she could change its typing a little. First she would have to choose between either Tigres or Xavier, since two electric types would not work that well for her. She turned around when she thought that she heard some rustling, but shrugged it off. She figured that she was just starting to hear things and went back to her own thoughts.

Throwing the Pokeball, it bounced off the injured Skitty before sucking it up in a stream of white. Larry froze as he waited for the ball to stop shaking. Hopefully he'd done enough damage now. As it turned out, he did. The ball came to a sudden stop as the red light stopped blinking. A grin formed on Larry's face. "Skitty!" he exclaimed, happily jumping for his Pokeball. The object popped open with a click, allowing the new captured Pokemon to come out. "Yay," he said, grabbing the Skitty again. This time she actually seemed happy with the gesture.
