Post 98 Chael walked out of the Gym, walking along lightly, with a small grin written on his lips. If the others saw him from their vantage point as he walked to the Pokemon Center, they could deduce that he had won the Gym Match. He walked into the Center and was soon at the counter. When the nurse walked over he asked "One full restore please. Also have you seen the two trainers I was with before?" She smiled and placed them in the machine and pointed to the man named Dante before handing them back. After she walked away, Chael took a seat inside. He figured it'd be best not to pester them yet. Besides he'd want to train just a bit more before going back to show him his new badge. Sending out his five Pokemon he let them either sit by him, or walk around to stretch their legs. They had certainly earned this little break. Belle rolled her eyes at Dante. "If he's not your boyfriend and the other guy wasn't your boyfriend, who is your boyfriend? And Lucius was a one-off. I can totes handle myself in the wildebeest*." When he suggested they move out again, she nodded. "Mmk. But I don't know why I need to show you - the buggers were everywhere! Couldn't go two metres without nearly stepping on one." Belladonna seemed pleased by this, wiggling her leaves in a smug fashion. "Oh, well." Belle turned on her heels, exiting the Pokemon Centre with Lily and Angelina trailing behind. She paused half-way across the city, attempting to remember where she was meant to go for Route 1. Thankfully, Lily remembered, scampering off into the crowds. "FFF- Come back!" she called out, darting between people, trying to keep the Eevee within her sights. The creature emerged, standing next to a building and scratching wildly at it. "No, shnookums. Come on. The Route is this way." She would have picked her up, were it not for Belladonna being already in her arms and Angelina just managing to get through people. Post 99 That Belle girl ran past Chael and out of the Center. What the heck? He sat for a few moments before being given a daunting realization. He could go to the Gabron Ruins now. Getting up, he put his hands in his pockets and walked out. His militia of two foot tall creatures followed. Thinking about it, all he needed was a dark or psychic type now to complete his team! Flying never appealed to him really so no need to catch a bird. He passed Belle who was squinting her eyes. Normally he'd say something about that being bad for your eyes but he didn't feel like getting in another debate. He had digging to do! If he was lucky he would find a fossil or something. "I don't have a boyfriend," Dante explained patiently, hoping Belle would get the picture this time around. "And that may be true now, but you never know. I don't want you to get into anything over your head." For all she knew, there was a Tyranitar lurking about, or a pair of unscrupulous trainers.
He cocked his head at the mention of the Oddish. "Are they really?" he asked, curiously. Usually the Grass-types weren't found around Route 1 - or even Route 2, for that matter. Must be a swarm or something, he thought - he'd heard reports of swarms of Pokemon occurring in other regions. Before he could question her further though, Belle dashed away, forcing Dante to hastily run to catch up. By the time he finally caught up to her, Dante was out of breath. I gotta get out more, he thought as he doubled over, panting. Mewtwo, you there?

Max shook his head and refocused to see Belle leave the roof; then, Dante left the roof. The silent boy who Max hadn't had time to introduce himself to suddenly was jumping for roof top to roof top towards the edge of town. Max's jaw dropped and his eye's jumped right out of his skull. He rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing straight, and sure enough that boy was jumping faster than a Politoed from an Electivire. Max, not wanting to wait for the elevator, burst down the stairs. He almost tripped but got himself on the guard rail. Then continued down into the main room of the pokemon center. "Dante!" Max exclaimed into the room. Max looked to see that Dante was not present. Embarrased, he asked the nurse. "Hey cutie, did you happen to see where Dante went?"
"He left and looked to be headed towards route one." The nurse said blushing at the 'cutie' remark.
"Thank you. How about a call when your on your break. Here's my number." Max said as he handed over a business card. Then he rushed out the sliding glass doors and turned towards route one. Max pushed though the crowded streets as fast as he could. He could see Dante up head in momentary clearings in the crowd. "Dante!" He yelled, but it was barely audible over the roar of the city. Max rushed faster and finally caught up. Max was huffing and puffing. "Dante." Max tried to catch his breath. "I think your friend is a superhero." Max said remembering the boy flying over the roof tops.
Meanwhile, The nurse replied to Max's request after he had left. "Yea...sure..." She looked over the business card. It resembled the stripper cards which litter the streets of Deres. On one side it had a picture of Max flexing topless and on the other it had contact information. It had everything from address to email address. The nurse sighed.

'Thoughts' "Telepathy" "Vocalized Speech" Post # 30
Level: 51 Moves: Atk: TM30 Shadow Ball/Atk: Psycho Cut/Atk: Barrier/Atk: Disable Trainer: None ***** Traveling through the city via psychic jumping was by far easier than attempting to walk through crowds. It would've been impossible to trick that many minds into believing he was what he wasn't. However he'd had to actually run to make the psychic jumps look convincing and running was not something his unbalanced body was particularly good at. On top of that he'd had to keep up an illusion the entire time to avoid drawing any more suspicion to himself. Reaching the tall grasses of Route 1 had been a relief; he could put the underused illusion away. Simply put Mewtwo was fatigued and compounded with his irritation at Dante's earlier actions it had left him in a sour mood. So far he'd been ignoring any of the Gym Leader's attempts to contact him but finally he gave in and allowed himself to hear the man's mental voice. Doing so meant stretching his psyche out to the human. When he did he found that Belle was near the man as expected but the man with now corrected memories was there as well! "Yes I'm here," Mewtwo grumbled without even bothering to cover up his grumpy telepathic tone, "why is that man following you? He's going to make it very difficult for me to travel with you just as if that boy were still with you."***** Not everyone can "hear" when Mewtwo's speaking telepathically as not everyone's sensitive to psychic phenomena. When he talks to someone personally a weak psionic link is formed between that person and himself. They'll "hear" him talking even if they don't know what he's saying. Over time it may turn into an actual telepathic connection that neither party involved will have complete control over at first. However this does NOT mean that EVERYONE he's spoken to will have this link and no, Joe Blow that just walked onto the scene WILL NOT know he's speaking right off the bat 9/10.

Belle waited until Dante had caught up with her to answer, trying to nudge the Eevee away from the building with her foot. "Okay, so you need one - now I understand. That was why you were talking alone with both of those guys." She nodded to herself. Everything made sense now. Lily dodged her foot, attempting to latch itself to the building. The trainer rolled her eyes, sticking her foot under her belly and yanking upwards, swinging her around to dump her next to Angelina. The Pokemon blinked, shaking her head and turning her attention to the Marill. "Mhm. Good shnookums." Dante was then talking again, so she diverted her thoughts back to him. "Yeees. Everywhere." It amused her that the man was now out of breath - ha! She was more fit and than him! Thank you, personal fitness coaches. She was about to comment on it when she felt that annoying tingling return (and tried not to hit herself in the head to make it stop). She shook her head, and then Max was there, panting about how Dante's friend was a superhero (seriously, what was with all the unfit guys?). This particular comment, though, confused her. Dante's friend? He surely couldn't have meant her, for he would have spoken to her directly, and he couldn't have meant Miato, because he was a Pokemon. This could only mean one thing - Dante did have a boyfriend, and everyone knew that when people talked about their 'friend', they were really talking about themselves, so, logically, Dante's boyfriend was Max, who thought himself a superhero. Dante simply shook his head tiredly at Belle's words. Her ongoing preoccupation with his apparent sexuality was starting to become more comical than anything else. Maybe in my next book I can use some of her mannerisms, he thought, almost unconsciously. His hand felt for the jacket pocket which contained his writing notebook, but Max's sudden arrival threw any thought of jotting down ideas out of his head. "If you want to go ahead and train, feel free.," he said to Belle. "Just stay close, alright?"
"He's not a super hero," Dante said, inventing a story as he spoke. "He's just a psychic who doesn't like behaving like EVERYONE else," he finished, adding a hint of annoyance on the end of his sentence that wasn't all feigned. Hopefully Mewtwo would get the hint: "I don't want to have to keep making up stories to keep you hidden; act normally for a change."
"Also, what are you doing way out here?" the gym leader asked. "I thought you had a TM to be getting." With luck, Max would get the hint. Dante was sure Mewtwo was already fed up with hiding and waiting and would be that much harder to deal with later because of it.

Max misheard belle's comment. "What? Dante is your boyfriend?" Max gave Dante and pat on the back. "I knew you had an eye for good looking lasses." Max knudged Dante twice with his elbow and winked. Then, Max listened to Dante's response to Max's earlier explanation. Still seemed a bit fishy, but why would Dante lie to him? "About that TM... Yea I'll get it later. I have plenty of time, right. Hell, I even have more time than you." Max said. "So, I think I'll follow you two around. I can be of great help."

Belle shook her head at Dante. He was clearly in denial, but it was alright - she knew the truth, he didn't have to hide from her now. "No, Dante. It's getting dark. I don't know about you, but I'm heading to a hotel." After a moment of thinking, she added, "Miato can come, too, if you know where he is. And you, I suppose." She blatantly ignored his words to Max, assuming that she did not know who he was talking about, and so ignored, in turn, his words to Dante. She regarded the other man, hoping that he wouldn't be around for long - she wasn't stupid, she wasn't going to give money to poor buggers, so she said stiffly, "If you can afford it, you can come, too. And what help could you provide?" If y'all could head out to the route I'd REALLY appreciate it. Otherwise I'm going to have to stay out of the night scene or we can time-skip it entirely. Up to y'all. Also if y'all could have one conversation at a time instead of two or three with the same person or people that would make it EXPONENTIALLY easier to keep up with both in the RP and while turning this into a fic.

"You're doing no such thing, Belle," Dante replied swiftly. "If you want to be a trainer, you're going to have to get used to spending a LOT of time outdoors, in the wild. We're heading farther down the route to find a good spot to pitch that tent of yours. Trust me on this one - it's better that you get used to it now, while the weather's good, than be forced to adapt on the fly while climbing Mt. Fros." Internally, Dante winced. He should have guessed that the girl was going to try to rent a hotel room. For Arceus's sake, did she think being a trainer was like being on a vacation?
Guess I don't have anything to sleep in though, he thought briefly with a hint of regret. He hadn't expected to be in Blyse this long. Still, one night out under the stars wouldn't be too bad, and the next day he could fly back to Genesia and fetch his gear whilst Mewtwo played babysitter. Pity I wore the nice pants today. "Max, you're welcome to stay if you wish, but we're heading out of the city now," Dante said halfheartedly, hoping the Elite Four member would say no. Mewtwo was likely getting impatient with the wait.

Belle stared blankly at Dante. "What are you talking about? That camping s**t is just for show - there's no way I'm sleeping in the damn Route," she scoffed. That was for commoners, not for people of her class! The very notion that she might find herself in a tent was laughable. If required, she could easily bribe the man. She didn't know what the standard bribe was, but she was willing to bet it was into the tens of thousands, which was no trouble - people these days were so cheap. "Besides, I'm not going to climb Mt. Fros! I'll do what I always do, I'll take the train~" she said smugly. The man, Caleb, always let her on for free, because she didn't collect badges (that and the bribing, of course). Now that she thought about it, if he knew that she was a trainer now, she may need that badge. Oh, well. She ignored his comments to Max again, wishing that the man would just disappear. Tsk. She glanced around, remembering that three of her Pokemon were out. She pulled out their Pokeballs, returning all of them. Dante met Belle's annoyed frown with the same look he used when staring down a disobedient Dragon-Pokemon - a steady, unblinking gaze into her eyes that was midway between anger and disapproval. He held it for a moment just to be sure he had the girl's attention before continuing. "Belle, if you want to be considered a Pokemon trainer, you're going to have to learn that it takes a lot of sacrifice and a lot of dirty work. This is not a vacation. This is not a pleasant tour through Etrua, with stops at five-star restaurants and world-class hotels. This is a personal journey with you and your Pokemon, each of you helping each other through tough times and trials. You cannot get that experience by doing what you suggest." He broke off, giving Belle time to digest what he'd said.
"I'm only a guide on your journey. I can't tell you what you can and can't do - and if you want to stay at hotels, by all means go ahead. But I can tell you that it's highly inadvisable." He gave a wry smile to lighten the mood. "Just give it one night. I think you'll find that it's not quite as dirty as you think." He took a few steps in the direction of the route, turning back and gesturing for Belle to follow him when she proved to be uncooperative. "You're going to want to find a campsite before dark."

Belle blinked at Dante, confused. What was he talking about? The whole idea of a Pokemon journey was to have herself staying in hotels, often resting with her beloved Pokemon - not camping, for the love of Arceus! She folded her arms, stamping her foot angrily. She wouldn't stand for this! Never in her life had she had to spend a night outdoors! Well, other than when the servants took her on the occasional star-watching trip, naturally. This was ridiculous! Her, Rosabelle Rutherford, camping in the Routes!
