Zar was crouched behind the curtains as the first humans filed in, able to hear them, able to /feel/ them, even able to spy one or two from where he hid. But there was a job to do, and with a determined look, he shoved the curtains in what he hoped was an intimidating fashion as he heard someone get nearby. They yelped in surprise and he actually peeked around the curtains with a smirk, looking pleased as they really did look scared, the feel of the fright was fantastic, it was an absolute rush and he tried to give the curtain an even more intimidating billow despite the lack of breeze
When suddenly, Jack that was bright, he couldn't see for a few seconds. Was it that contraption the human was holding? He found it very hard to tell with the burning imprint of the flash left on his vision.

Shehk was very much not prepared to scare anybody given she was being felt up by a little witch, her tail still somewhat puffed even as she realized there were humans in the room, suddenly jerking back and slamming her body back against the wall making a very loud THUD that sounded both unintentional and painful.
Whoops.
Still, it at least got a backwards glance.

Tomoko actually shrieked in surprise when the mirror was tapped on, looking on the verge of tears as she peeked around it again looking at a loss for what to do, accidentally jarring the thing a bit as she stared at the humans with the most pathetic look on her face.
Tomoko?
Scaring things? Not happening.

Sura actually had a far more aggressive reaction to the humans in the room than she would have expected, not lashing out, but Titus probably would have been jealous to hear that low rumble in her chest as her tail suddenly smashed against the wall, making a very sturdy crunch noise, her body leaning back against the wall as her horns scraped against the corner ominously.
One of the humans looked back towards the corner startled by the sudden noise.

He was starting to get the hang of this - being able to use his shadowplay to it's full ability, having fun and watching what reactions he got from those were not used to the screeches and calling of those who were home at Amityville.
Humming the softest tune under his voice, his hands danced with palms out and eyes lidded, the spectre of his feline friend, it looked more like a performance than a fear attack, but the sounds that the spectre made were eerie at best, like a whailing cat, that snapped out and attempted to attack those that came close.
The startled looks that he received from the humans who were caught in the dance made the kitking smile widely, his teeth baring through. This was good, this he enjoyed.

As the humans came in Mitsu slid back a little further under the bed though she listened intently to the Professor who seemed to go unnoticed. So she needed to observe them and try to scare them?
Quietly she waited but unfortunately it seemed the human boil was the one to move closer. The lycan did her best to make some noise but he seemed less than impressed and moved on muttering something about cheap effects. Mitsu rested her head on the floor already defeated.

Not willing to give up Mitsu pulled herself closer to the edge of the bed and peered out at the remaining humans as they started to make their way around. Her eyes focused intently on the human ghoul who already seemed to be jumpy no matter how lame the effect. Mitsu could nearly taste the fear running off of her, her tail swishing behind her excitedly.
As the ghoul approached Mitsu redoubled her efforts making clawing noises against the floor along with thuds and thrashing. It did its job, the ghoul let out a high pitched screech that even seemed to startle the boil she had been with.
Pleased as could be, Mitsu laid under the bed, her tail wagging furiously. She had done it. She had scared some humans! Had Shun seen her? Mitsu hoped so. OwO

Before long the humans began to pour in and just as the human boil looked less than impressed with the cheesy decor (Which frankly Titus was too) Titus was looking less than impressed with him. He watched the students carefully to see what they would try though he wasn't sure what would be his best approach. He looked at Sura shortly as she cracked her tail like a whip making a lot of noise. His expression said 'not bad but it could have been better.' Jealous? Hardly. Okay maybe a little, a tail was kinda cool but he had his own advantages.
Contemplating the demon reached for one of the gloves on his hand carefully removing it as he stepped out of the corner just slightly. When he pulled the glove free he flexed a clawed hand which he placed against the wall and drug across it making a terrible screeching noise that could not be imitated by the terrible speaker system in the middle of the room. No, this was the real deal and the long gashes left by his claws was only a bonus that the ghoul seemed to notice first, screaming and pointing at his handy work obviously scared out of her wits.
When the human boil turned he wasn't sure what to make of it but Titus began his next phase by carving letters into the wall. They couldn't see him but surely they couldn't miss this. It wasn't like he was going to write out a thesis but he wanted to give them a simple message. 'You are not alone.'
"L...let's get out of here." The boil was now on edge and Titus put the cherry on his little stunt by starting to laugh, a deep eerie noise that seemed to echo and carry. It was more than enough to send all parties screaming from the room. Oh yeah. Like a boss.

It was go time. As her peers began their attempts at scaring the pudgy humans, Levi's wheels got turning as to what she could do in a sneaky manner. Her first thought? Use the tail...
With all the goings on, there was no noise she could produce that would adequately sound over those occurring around her. Instead, she settled for wavering her tail down to the ground and wriggling it just outside the safety of the curtain to check for a response. Would that be good enough?
... Nope. Nada. The humans didn't even seem to notice it.

After her moment of reacquainting herself with moving after the shock of Emily-grabs, Shehk half peered out of the closet doors to see what was going on out there, seeming to evaluate the situation with a half grin as she reached up and slowly drew her nails down the inside of the closet door, making a low growling noise.
Which seemed to at least startle one of the humans causing them to grab onto one of their companions and point towards the closet with a certain level of terror to them. Shehk took a deep breath in and seemed elated by this development, the glow of her eyes flickering stronger, invigorated with that small reaction.

Pouting slightly, the wheels cranked into motion again in the ghoul's head. If if speaking out loud in frustration, Levi's tail now slithered along the floor more viciously. Think, ghoul, thiiink!
For some reason, no ideas were coming up. The professor and well as her peers and kin would surely shake their heads in shame if she didn't at least continue to attempt scaring with something. At her wit's end, out of the tatzelwurm's throat came a hiss and a growl coupled together that rumbled in a single elongated breath. This was the equivalent of a rather naughty curse back home.
" O_O .... IT'S A SNAKE!!! A SNAKE AHHH!!!"
...
The humans that had wandered by her curtain, just as she took a tone worthy of a bar of soap, cried out in horror of what wriggled below them along with the threat of her outburst.Apparently that was the sort of thing she needed. Their terror at unintended scare left her feeling a great pride. She had the potential to scare without even trying... or knowing it. Alright.

Tomoko rattled the mirror again and got another look, but it seemed like that hadn't done anything, had it? She...needed to try some other approach next time, a small frown on her face as she tried to think of just...what...

[Biasedly giving this to Shehk too as her third roll, rofl]] Empowered by that first reaction she got, Shehk rattled the door and then suddenly pushed it open, a loud wail accompanying the gesture before the door suddenly was pulled back shut.
For the humans who saw, there was nothing in the closet when the door swung open or closed, and the sudden wave of terror in the air earned a grin from the Pricolici, her tail flicking once as she backed up back into the closet. "This is kinda fun..." she noted thoughtfully.

Tomoko looked at the mirror she was behind, then at the humans, putting one hand against the side of said mirror and focusing, the light from the ball of stars bleeding out through her hand and skin an into the mirror as she forced the reflection of the individual she was standing next to suddenly turn grotesque in front of their eyes, teeth dripping....
The person looking in was startled enough to give Tomoko a sense of accomplishment before the person turned to try and beckon their friends to look. However, by that point in time, her illusion had dropped and the others wouldn't see anything.
