"I cannot speak for the others, but I am prepared." Blushing slightly again at being called "sugah", Regal thought for a moment.

"Yes, where should we go first? Perhaps we should inquire at a lab or request an audience with the King." He was only making suggestions about a course of action. He would follow Richter's plan. Richter certainly tended to know about such events as this one, so he trusted him.

Jade had listened with interest as Blaze spoke with the king, wondering if she was referring to the Sol Emeralds she had mentioned earlier. Even though she didn't really tell him much about them, he was having the assumption that she was talking about them. Smiling, he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

The King had gazed at Blaze as she spoke about this force splitting into pieces upon her arrival in this world. "Would this force you speak of prove to be a threat if those pieces were to fall into the wrong hands?" He asked.

"And my other goal is to make you youngsters crazy before I reach 40."

Rei was obviously very eager to keep her distance from the village, now that the trouble had resolved itself. Testing the ninja's patience further might get her locked up for a long time, and Rei didn't enjoy that thought very much. As the fox listened, she waited for a good moment to flee the conversation, and Lord quickly provided her with a very decent reason. "I can fish!" She blurted, turning to dash off after Lord to the river.

Blaze felt a heated pang of anxiety within herself. This was a question she hoped the King would not ask, though she should have anticipated it. But she also supposed it would be just as well to lay down the truth here; perhaps the king would go to as helpful measures as possible to ensure that the Sol Emeralds would not be misused.

"...Unfortunately, yes. It's something that cannot control who gets to use its power. I would like to humbly request aid in my search for these pieces, but I do not want to be too imposing. I also understand that with the calamities surrounding this world, your subjects might have their hands full trying to deal with them. Either way, I am still fine searching for them on my own."

She was consciously withholding information like what these "pieces" are called and what they looked like, opting to divulge bit by bit in order to spur more reactions from the King in order to analyze his character. There was a little guilt to be had in such accusatory thinking, but she needed to be certain if he were the sort to suddenly form ulterior motives upon learning more about the Sol Emeralds.





The two were now settled at a table in the back corner of a restaurant. Azura was looking over the reading material she bought while having her meal, the small book opened up beside her plate.

"...And of what importance could this world's lunar cycle possibly be to you?"

"Hmm?" The girl stopped eating and looked up from the book, to him. "Ahh. I suppose I should give you fair warning. Um...to put it into the quickest-to-explain terms, I have a condition that works similarly to a curse. I can control it any other time of the month, but the light of a full moon forces me to become...something of a monster."

Though Kratos kept hard-faced, there was, briefly, a slight furrow in his brow and a glint of concern in his eyes as he was certainly reminded of Anna and Clara's predicaments. But that was quickly replaced by a brow raised in skepticism.

Azura merely smirked at his reaction. "Heh. I certainly am not bluffing; you'll see. To be more precise, I turn into quite a large wolf. But it's not going to be too much to worry about. I don't lose my mind." ^_^ With that, she returned to her meal.

After several moments of silence, the auburn-haired seraph spoke up, "...That does explain a few things, now that I think of it."

"Hm? Like what?" she asked with a mouth half-full, giving him a curious look.

"The claws, the fangs..."

---CRUNCH.

Though interrupted by the sound, he felt no need to continue. The dark elf before him was eating the chicken in her meal right down to the bones without being completely aware of it until he made his timely remark. That was enough. After a swallow, she made a bit of a nervous laugh and proceeded to wipe her face with a napkin.

All Zelos could do was stand there and wait for a window of opportunity. He listened to their discussion, noting Blaze's "pieces" above anything else, much like the king had. But, even so, he hadn't recieved a window. But, he was certain the king would assign Zelos to accompany her on her search if he really had to. And, Zelos wouldn't mind. He wanted to know what was going on just like everyone else in the world. That means I'll have to leave Sebastian in charge of the manor again. Poor guy's worked to the bone. Maybe I should hire a replacement for him.... He shook those thoughts from his head and returned his attention to the discussion. Zelos had to butt in eventually, so he stood up straight and bowed to the king. "Your Majesty, I'll accompany her. If you'll allow it, of course." The old man got a slightly annoyed look in his eyes, but he didn't look like he was going to object. "That all depends on if she's williing to put up with you. Miss Blaze, do continue on if you wish. We can discuss travel plans afterwards." He sounded fine and dandy, but Zelos wouldn't be surprised if he was cooking something up in that head of his.

The King was thinking to press further about the "pieces", but he was distracted from the subject by Zelos' interruption, followed by Jade. Blaze thought this was just as well. She nodded in agreement with the bespectacled man. "I certainly do not mind, Your Majesty. In fact, I'm appreciative of any assistance I can get at all. And the Colonel here raises a good point."

The King gave a conclusive sigh. "Indeed. Then it's settled. Chosen, by their request, you are to assist our otherworldly visitors. I want to discuss how you'll proceed before I dismiss you. Visitors, wait in the other room. The Chosen will approach you when we are finished. Guards, show our visitors to the Crimson Chamber."

A couple of armored knights nodded and stepped toward Blaze and Jade, silently motioning the two to follow them. Blaze nodded back and started to trail after. Once in the waiting room, she noticed how a good part of the walls surrounding them were lined with bookshelves. She'd take out one (if this were a waiting room, surely these were put out here to entertain the guests right?) skim through it for several seconds, then put it back in its place. She certainly found that the alphabet system here was something she could not decipher.

Blaze shut the book she was currently holding so abruptly that it made a light "thump" noise. After putting it back in its respective place on the shelf, she shot a surprised look at Jade and sweatdropped. She was confused by the question, which caught her off-guard. "...Telling lies? Wh...what do you mean?"
