✘✘Dr. Howard✘✘ You can trust me.. Howard looked up from his notes with a disguisted face. "It seems you've failed me Evelyn." She glanced at him with a blank face, he could tell she knew what he was about to do. Alice backed up against the wall as he reached inside his coat for his pistol. Everyone they've tested on has been a failed expirement, they needed fresh blood to work with and with no one around.. "It has been a pleasure working with you." He motioned the gun over to one of the surgery tables. When she didn't budge he placed it against her forhead and shoved her into it. After a long moment she nodded and layed on it without saying a word. He strapped her in then started to get the IVs ready but looked up and noticed two girls on the hospital's camera. Jacob slipped the gun back into his jacket then untied the emotionless nurse. "Looks like I still need you after all. Put on your show face."..I'm a doctor. ((Thats all I could think of for Dr. Jacob Howard's introduction. Not really creative but I can live with it. ))

Verra held up his hands. "I think we all need to calm the ******** down, that is what I think." He actually thought just the opposite; this was the first time his companion had lost her composure, and it was a fair bit entertaining. "And hang on a minute, lady, jussst because you're the one who has a building doesn't mean you can ssshit all over us. What, exactly, are we about to walk into, hm?" The quip about humanity didn't phase the alien a bit; if anything, being distinguished from these lesser beings was a compliment.
Verra's toe danced at the edge of the threshold. He was itching to move, to be in a different situation, but he needed to control his hastiness, goddamnit. "Are you friend or foe, madame? That'sss the most important dissstinction to make."

☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ Anger rising with each second, Tora actually turned a bit and took a step in the opposite direction. This was not something that she needed to deal with. If anything, she needed to keep away from this place and just rob a mechanics shop if she had to. Checking the sky, she knew she had been gone for more than an hour. That wasn't okay. Ziggy would be waiting and he was hurt. he had weapons, yes, and surely more than just the two of them survived out of twenty men, but damn it all, she didn't like leaving them alone. Gritting her teeth, reason began to win as she glared at Verra. "Listen Scales, I really am not starting to like you." But then again, did she like anyone?
Her cig was dwindling but she wouldn't make another one quite yet. If this ended up taking too long, she didn't want to be without any. Taking a slow drag, the smoke came past her lips as slowly as it had entered, the woman finally just straightening her shoulders a bit and walking inside. The woman in front of them was human, or at least humanish enough to be flammable. If all else failed and this was some trap, Tora would bet money that she was the only one fire resistant enough to handle a real explosion.
"Just come inside, Scales. You're the one that banged on the damn door and led us here." █║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷

"Whee!" Kary said, putting her axes away and jumping onto Tina's back. Now that she got a demo with Desirae's abilities in piggyback, she couldn't wait to see Tina's. She was, after all, a kid. She looked back, wondering just what was going through the new person's head as they looked from a distance. It seemed...wrong to drag a zombie, even a dead one, and more disturbing yet, as it might have appeared to her, talking to it as if it was still a living human. Kary hung on tight, ready for the ride.

Thanks to some REALLY advanced technology, Desirae's weapon had looked like an ordinary combat knife. But when electricity was sent through it it turned into a naginata with a widened blade. As she readied her weapon she proceeded to leap from one wall to the next up the side of two buildings and kept on the heels of the girl dragging a corpse. Tina, holding onto Kary, followed suit up the side of the buildings and commented on something; "Say, doesn't that cadaver look similar to the girl dragging it? And whats with the butchers cleaver? Is she planning to eat that body?" she asked aloud leaping from one rooftop to the next and split up from her sister to get different angles of the girl demeanor.

"That's amazing that you've survived this long by yourself in an abandoned house." Xavier said, then thought for a moment about what he had just said. "I don't mean that in a bad way; i'm surprised that I'm even alive still." He said. He looked at the gun, then down at his only two weapons. "Trading seems a good idea. Even though your gun only has 3 bullets, I'm sure I could find ammo. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with guns, but I'm sure I'd like it better than these." He said, indicating the axe and knife. "I don't leave this apartment, if you were wondering." Xavier said. "None of the infected have tried to get in, like I said. I had to fight my way here from where I was. I only traveled a few miles, but your the first living thing I've seen. Sorry for the rambling; which weapon do you want to trade for?"

Sydelle WestYou're not a hero, you're a liar...
Sydelle gave Verra long look. When your main source of security was a mountain troll, there was very little left to surprise you. "I'm the one who let you in." She said with a shrug. "If this is a place you wanted to enter, as I'm fairly certain it was, then that would make me a friend, wouldn't it?" She turned to walk away, but called back over her shoulder. "Of course, if you're unsure, I can promise to be your best friend... for the right price." And in a world like the one they lived in, money was no longer the main currency.
...you're not a savior, you're a vampire.

Verra cuddled up as close as he dared to the girl and patted her arm. "I know, honey, I know. Hatred is hard and nobody understandsss. But we really must clear up this Ssscales thing."
He shrugged; the impatience of the two women was getting to be a bit much for him. And I thought I was rash. "Yeah, fine, whatever. But if I trigger sssome kind of bomb I'll come back and haunt both of your sssorry asses." Shoulders slouching, he squeezed his eyes shut and leapt lightly through the doorway.
"Aaaaaaaaaargh -- oh, hey, I'm ssstill all ******** here and alive!" The alien patted his stomach, then his hair and face. "It's a modern-day miracle, if you believe in that sssort of shhhit. M'lady?" He turned, offering his arm mockingly to Tora. "Come, now, can't hang around dawdling all day. I know you're ssscared, but be comforted; I'm here. All one-hundred pounds of me." He shot an enormous wink at Tora, then backflipped down the hall after Sydelle just because.
"And, by the way, I'm not on the market for bessst friends. At least, not ones that won't answer sssimple questions sssuch as will doing this thing kill me or not." Verra spat a glob of black goo at a potted plant just to watch it melt. "Call it a persssonal problem."

☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ With the alien cuddled up against her, Tora felt another part of her snap. He moved out of her reach before she could do anything however. "Do not call me that." Voice low, cold, her fingers flickered with what looked like mini-flames. They didn't just look like them, that's what it was. She felt her temper rising higher but not much could honestly be done before she walked into the room, watching the area around her. She couldn't be here for long. "Alright, fine. I guess that you're going to be a temporary friend as well, but I only need to know one thing and then I can just go."
Her pace brisk, the woman watched the other female as she got her attention, needing to just get gone from here. Now. Claustrophobia was kicking in and she didn't want a damn thing to do with a one hundred pound, pink haired demon and some creepy blonde chick. She just needed supplies and then she could go.
"Supplies for a ship. Do you have any here or is this just a safehouse with supplies to keep fort?" Her fingers itched for another cig, but she wouldn't take one quite yet. No, that could wait a few more minutes. If they had it then that'd be great. If not then she would take her leave. "Otherwise, I'll just go and be on my way." Tora knew better than to stay this close to anyone anyway. She had followed Verra without any real information on the creep. She knew better. There was reason on why the only people she stayed with were those on her ship. Half of which were probably gone by now. She wouldn't waste time and lose the rest. █║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷

Sydelle WestYou're not a hero, you're a liar...
Sydelle watched Verra spit on the flower pot. She touched the gauntlet, summoning Grr from her room. "An alien throwing a temper tantrum." She said, tilting her head to the side. "How droll." She turned to the other woman, listening to her request. "I couldn't say." She said with a shrug. "There's an armory, but it's members only."

"My sssincerest apologies, love, it's just that I don't know what to call you." It seemed as if nicknames were becoming a bit of a running gag, and boy howdy did Verra ever love gags, of every kind. The flicker at her fingertips immediately distracted him, however; as Tora's fingers lit up, so did the alien's eyes.
"You can sssummon fire? I knew there was a reason I didn't automatically dessspise you..." He trailed off, crooning at the flames. "Marvelousss. Most humans are entirely too cautious with heat."
Verra visibly jumped at the appearance of the... thing. "Jesssusss d**k, warn a kid before you do that, hm? If ssspitting is throwing a tantrum, how the actual ******** would you classify sssummoning a giant monssster, hm?"
He nearly pouted at Blondie's predictably useless answer. This track sounded like his pal was going to be making her exit sometime soon. "There'd better be sssome meat shhhields in this dump," he muttered to himself thoughtlessly. What if it was a surviving society of blonde bitches? He shuddered at the thought.
[i'm heading off to bed, lovelies. don't leave me behind~! o3o]

ℳαɼα ℛѳʙɪɳsѳɳℒѳcαϯɪѳɳ: Not sure... How many more surprises and mysteries can I handle? Mara felt a bit of relief when the other two people revealed they could speak English. She lowered her own weapon slowly, having no more need for it since Monica had shot down the strange creatures, and shook her offered hand. Odd that the one the sky captain had shot hadn't seemed fazed by the hit. It was almost as if it didn't register the pain such a wound would have caused. Was it a side effect of their disease? The image of the one with the awkwardly twisted foot rose in her mind, and a shiver went up her spine. Things were just getting more dangerous by the minute.
The man who'd saved her muttered something under his language, and she just barely caught the disgust in his voice before he spoke again, introducing himself as Bruno. She nodded to him in gratitude. "Mara Robinson, Captain of the Valkyrie of the Eighth Fleet of the Sendaluan Imperial Navy, at your service. I must thank both of you for your timely arrivals, as they saved my metaphorical bacon." She was puzzled by Monica's question about zom-bees and being bitten, so she shook her head. "I wasn't bitten, but I suppose that is something I should watch out for? The diminutive captain glanced from Bruno to Monica. "I hope you'll excuse my ignorance. You see, I'm fairly new here, and don't know my way around. I was actually about to start heading for the source of that flare."

Der Mond ist aufgegangen. Die goldenen Sternlein prangen. Der Himmel hell und klar. Der Wald ist dunkel und still. Und aus den Wiesen steigt. Der weiße Nebel wunderbar. Adelaide smiled at Mara. Unsure what Valkriye is. And yes, zombies bites are something you should watch out. From what I could gather is that through biting, if you survie, you become one of them. Though this theroy may need to be tested better. She then heard that Mara was heading for the flare.I would be weary of flares. They are hard to come by, and I've seen people go in there but never come back. She explained, looking at the hospital wearily and suspiciouly.
The moon has risen. The golden stars shine. The sky bright and clear. The forest is dark and silent. And is rising from the meadows. The white mist wonderful.
