Meyaira Firespring EDIT: I don't want to double-post. But I was wondering who did the art that's the main picture on the guild's front page? It's really good! I mean, I am a bit blushy about their er...bosoms not being properly concealed, although I do understand that it's a hot springs bath and they are bathing. Were they based off someone's original characters? Just wondering... I love the look of the spider girl on the left because of her markings and colouring and the spider legs. She looks very different to most characters I've seen. The other three are cool too though. Dragon, kitsune and...water elemental? I wasn't sure about the ice lady. =^_^= Do you ever get any comments on it? Shade_Angel17 Doing some filename digging and searching around the internet, the artwork comes from a Deviantartist named Nitemare99 as far the coloring is concerned but the lineart comes from another DArtist named idleHQ. Shade is 100% correct, the lineart was done by IdleHQ and colored by Nitemare99. The characters featured are Nitemare's OCs (although I couldn't name em off the top of my head xD), which I'm sure you can find out more about on his DA page as he as a way of gettin' around DA. I've seen his OCs drawn by dozens of artists on DA. And yeah, the third woman is suppose to be a ice creature of some sort. All I know is she's usually featured acted very shy. As for comments on it, you're the first person to really ask anything about it.

Nine tailed wolf/fox and kitsune share enough features that you can flip flop one for the other easily enough.

Has anyone thought about asking Nitemare99 and idleHQ whether they would consider doing the new artwork of our mascot family for the front page? The artwork is also very good. Are they still around?
EDIT: And I noticed our new banner. It looks great! I like the cute sparkles.

Actually I just wanted to say that I'm very Proud of Mey and Viper. I appreciate everything you two are doing for the guild. Sorry I haven't really said that, I mean it. smile

I don't believe Nitemare99 does any drawing of his own, from what I've seen he usually just colors other drawings that he's commissioned or gifted. As for idleHQ, I'm sure he would do it if he was paid to do so. An artist of that skill level I'm sure only takes commissions. Both are still floating around DA to my knowledge. EDIT: Just sent a note to IdleHQ on DA asking about it.

Aw, thanks for the compliments. =^///^= I don't really feel like I've done anything special although it's certainly been entertaining to try out these new ideas. It's nice to see new members joining and current ones being more active. Sure, we could always use a little extra help, even if it's just giving opinions on something. You don't have to help but if you want to, if you know of any good names for a crypt and a graveyard, we are currently trying to find those for our Springfog Town project. (One of the rping sub-forums where we're planning something special).

IdleHQ is awesome. I know he's been very busy with his personal life lately, but it would be wonderful if he could draw the mascot for this group. ♥
Though, I do have to say... I think the nudity in the image you've selected is very much against Gaia's TOS and I would recommend taking it down. I would hate to see this guild's description get cleared for inappropriate content or at worst see the guild deleted. ): Its always better to be on the safe side.

I have wondered about that myself for some time. Why we have that image, so it probably is best we change it. Yet, unfortunately, I think as a crew member I do not have this power. This could be something we should definitely discuss in staff threads.

The moment you wrote this I had a small idea up and ready. My drawing style isn't the greatest, but I believe its sufficient enough if people maybe want to use it for images. I've not really drawn in a while though. I may decide not to use it though depending on what the other staff members think.

Actually, I brought that issue up with Viper 9000 already in the staff sub forum. cat_smile
We're in the process of getting the new artwork commissioned for the front page but thank you both very much for pointing it out as well.
It is a concern and we're trying to get it changed over as soon as we can.
Perhaps we could take it down entirely and leave the page blank until the artwork for the new image is completed. I'll have a word with Viper and see what she says.

I wasn't really thinking when I tossed that picture up there (it was late), I was just updating things and used the first good picture I came across.
Like I replied in MF's PM, I searched around for another picture when I got home from class and changed it. If any of you have a better picture that you think might look good on guild homepage, toss me a message or PM with link and I'll take a look.
