Malodore hurriedly swept its tail back and deposited the lump of fur on top of Jericho's head. "There. Now you are hairy and foul..." The plague doctor shook its head slowly, as if it were confused.
"... I would like a bath, I think."

Riley held her hands out, her singing pausing as Malodore asked for a bath. Come, I will give you a bath like mother foxfires do to their babies.
Wait, didn't they involve a tongue? What was even..

Malodore looked at Riley, then at Jericho, then at Riley again.
"Va... va bene?"

Jericho wasn't sure what to do about the lump of fur that had been dumped onto his head. However, it at least seemed that Malodore had returned to its senses. Unfortuneately, it looked like Riley hadn't. Actually, it was definite that she hadn't right now.
"... Riley please don't do that."
He might have imagined her trying to do this while in her natural state. The image also frightened him.
"Let's uh... head back to your place. We'll get cleaned up and warmed... or something?"

The effects of JOY were most definitely lingering on Riley, as most hallucinatory or psychologically debilitating substances often did. She sat up and shook some of the black ooze off of her, before standing up and pulling the yeti blanket off the floor. She dragged it against the floor and sighed.
Fiiiine. We'll do that then.
She wrapped the yeti blanket around her shoulders, and blinked slowly, her eyes now a flat, unblinking green. Jericho had a new hat of yeti hair. Riley looked up at it, and giggled.

Green? Malodore was temporarily diverted. "Have you ever seen that particular shade before, Jericho?" It tilted its head to one side as it studied Riley's face.

"Not before five minutes ago," Jericho replied while furrowing his brow, "I think.. the Yeti's blood is doing this to her. You were acting strangely too at first."
Looking her over, he now noticed the chunk of Yeti fur. Wait. He.. He wanted that!
"Well-"
Whatever he was about to say, he was cut off as the music around them suddenly came to an abrupt stop.

Malodore looked up sharply, eyes narrowing as the music ceased. "That's... unusual. Is it over? Was this creature somehow a vital piece of the 'invasion'?" It didn't think so... but...
"Perhaps we should investigate further. But first." It pointed one claw at Jericho. "Clothing for you."

Riley's eyes blinked once, the green fading, and then again, to white once more. She put away the phone she had been fiddling with a moment ago, and stood up, rubbing her temple with a thumb and forefinger.
Clothing. She repeated. And perhaps a nap. Or some type of painkiller. Let's go.

Jericho didn't reply right away since he didn't know the answer to Mal's question. He just looked around trying to find some sign of what just happened there. When Riley spoke up, he looked back over towards her, noticing that her eyes were turning back to normal.
"Yes. Clothing.. And um. Riley? Can I have that pelt? Pleeeaaase?"

"Come along, then," Malodore said, relieved as Riley's eyes shifted back to their usual color. "Perhaps its over now, and we can all rest."
((Do you want to do a fade here and then reset with them running out of the Monster dorms after the crazy starts up again? >D huuu))

Riley wrapped the pelt around Jericho's shoulders, and patted him on the back. She took his hand in one claw, and Malodore's claws in the other, and led them with a heavy silence back to Jericho's dorm. There, she would be reminded of no soft spot for a nice nap, and instead be forced to assault a gnome for some aspirin. She waited for the pills to take effect before agreeing to head out, only to find that the Christmas invasion had taken a turn for the worse.
Oh. She deadpanned. Lovely. A little ornament shuffled by her feet, half-covered in grey, and twitching nervously. Perhaps we need new samples.

Coming back from the dorms now, Jericho was wearing several layers of clothing, including the yeti pelt draped across his shoulders. There was no way he was getting rid of that just yet. Back outside, he was still chilled but it wasn't as bad as it was earlier for him.
".. What happened while we were out? It looks like something happened to the JOY."

And then a red angry bird smacked Jericho in the face with a loud "SQUAWK!" before dropping to the ground and poofing in a puff of smoke.

While still trying to figure out what was up with the grey and blue mixed in with the JOY creature they spotted, Jericho soon felt something feathery but hard smack him right in the face. Recoiling back from the impact, he shook his head and glanced down to see that it had been a bird. Before he could really do anything, it disappeared.
"Jacking hell! Watch where you're flying!" he shouted before looking around, rubbing his head. Yes, the bird had already poofed, but he shouted at it anyway.
