[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

"Really?" Phyela peered into the hole Luke had just dug through. An under-underground tunnel? Seems odd... "I'll join you in a sec." she called, her gaze turning to the vines. Somehow it seemed they were beckoning her, but she didn't know what was up there. She hoped not another winged monstrosity. They barely survived the last. At any rate, she wasn't going to find out by standing here.
Removing her robe, she set it gently beside the hole Luke was currently digging, before making her way over to the wall where the vines clung. She had to create an ice bridge, as she didn't feel like taking a dip again. Looking up, she took note that she could see no enemies on the roof of the small alcove. Reassured, though not completely, she began to climb. The vines felt damp, which didn't come as a surprise given the area, but that didn't help her grip any. Every so often, she would slip, Her quick reflexes and firm grip shaving leaves from some of the vines. After a few minutes, she finally made it in the alcove.
Looking ahead of her, she saw a chest, and her face brightened. She made a slight dash for the chest, and cautiously looked around before opening it.

[ Izzy : Deku Mine : B1 ]

"Shall I get the door for you, madame? Izzy asked with a laugh before he ran to the door. He lifted it up a bit and threw it open, allowing for Felin to pass through; for some reason, it stayed open longer than usual. "Hm... Maybe I broke it?"

Knowing she would follow quickly enough, he walked toward the edge of the Southern land mass, staring at the one situated to the West. There was the door which had recently been made available, what with the bars rising after Akin lit the torches. It was the only place they hadn't gone so far, so it was the obvious choice. He jumped into the water and started swimming to what he thought was surely their final door.

When Phyela opened the chest, she found within it...

A RED RUPEE! That's twenty rupees! Don't spend it all in one place!

((About time I made an Izzy post, eh?
And I'm not sure if the red ones are the twenty-rupees.... It's been too long since I've played a Zelda game.

And that's all for now, everybody! *poofs like a ninja*))

[ Luke ; Beneath the Well : B1 ]

After about a minute of digging through the cream-colored rock stuff, Luke stopped for a break, wiping more sweat from his face - only to discover that his forearms were soaked with perspiration as well, so it did no good.

"Phew, this is gonna take forever!" He took another moment to catch his breath, then tensed up his muscles to start yet again. This time, as he moved to dig at the rock wall, the claws on his left glove accidentally struck against the ones on his right; this somehow caused the Mole Mitts to come alive and claw at the rock of their own accord. "Whoa!!!" Luke yelled, being pulled along by the enchanted gloves. He had no idea how they were moving by themselves, but he didn't complain - at this rate, he would get all the way to the other side much faster, and without tiring himself out so much.

((I was gonna wait and give Kal a chance to edit her post, but she seems to have poofed on us for a second. Anywho, thanx for finally making an Izzy post, Izzy. XD
Getting closer in both dungeons. Just a bit, but we're making progress!))

[[Finally edited my previous Phyela post]]

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

Phyela was a bit let down. She was amped up to find something a little more...useful. But hey, free money was cool too. Except she and Luke almost lost their lives in this room, so it wasn't exactly free.
Sliding down the vines and shaving more leaves off, she stuffed the rupee in her pocket before walking back to the hole. Her ice bridge gave way after she crossed back over, indicating she dispersed the magic in it before grabbing her robe and throwing it back on. She jumped into the hole left by Luke, only to find a long, broken tunnel. She assumed the boy made it, as she could hear sounds echoing from within the tunnel, and followed their direction. As she went, though, she could tell there was a difference partway through in the walls, as if Luke somehow found a large bust of energy and plowed ahead, as the first area was a little cleaner, more claw marks evident in the soil-like substance. "Luke?" she called, her voice echoing. "Luke, is everything alright?"

[ Felin : Deku Mine : B1 ]

Felin slowly made her way through the door, which slammed behind her once she entered the main room. She lazily looked back. It's like the whole place is...expecting us.
Her attention was turned to the western door, and she pulled out the map again. It didn't seem to have any details in the upcoming room, while the others they had visited were all filled in and detailed. She passed it off as simply lack of detail on the mapmaker's part, and put it back in her pocket. She looked at the river, giving a sour face. "Great, more water." she muttered and sighed. Slipping in and slowly making her way across, she heaved herself out only to find where pain was still resonating. "Oh Farore, this is horrible!" Standing up, she looked at Izzy with a kind smile. "Care to do the honors, you strong boy, you?" she playfully teased.

[ Luke : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

Luke's digging took a turn, quite literally, and now he was digging upward instead of forward. After just a moment, he popped out of the ground, and found himself standing on the high platform to which he had pushed the block. "Oh...Okay then. Guess we can open this door now." He then heard Phyela calling his name from down below in the tunnel. He peeked his head down, but couldn't lean far enough to see her without falling. "Phy? Yeah, everything's fine. Come on up, I'm finished digging! We can get through the door now! I'll open it for you while you cross the tunnel!"

He stood back up and, after cracking his knuckles, he lifted the door open. It closed right after, so he sighed and opened it again, this time holding it up. "Good thing these things don't weigh too much."

[ Izzy : Deku Mine : B1 ]

Izzy gave Felin a soft pat on the shoulder when she climbed out of the water. When she asked him to open the door, he nodded and hurried over to comply. He was worried about her in this condition, and didn't want her to strain herself. He struggled with the door a bit before sliding it up and open, and held it up for her to pass through.

[ DM Post : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

When the two Hylians cross through the doorway, they will find themselves in a room a bit smaller than the previous one. There is another wide pool of water dividing the land into North and South patches. There is nothing to be found on the Southern patch, where they enter, but there is a treasure chest several feet beneath the water. It is inaccessible at this time, but on the Northern patch of land, there is a lever that lowers the water level on this entire floor. This lever is hidden behind a wall of diggable rock, however, and cannot be seen yet. What CAN be seen on the Northern piece of land, are two Sand Crab monsters, walking sideways here and there in an odd pattern. These will prove a nuisance, and should be gotten rid of before attempting to dig through the wall.

There is also a door on the left wall, but it is also under the water, and inaccessible.

[ DM Post : Deku Mine : B1 ]

When the Kokiri team pass through the door, they will find themselves in a room with a floor switch and a treasure chest. The floor switch is surrounded by four Popos, and the treasure chest by two Ropas. What will happen if the floor switch is pressed down is a mystery, but perhaps it will help them escape the Mine...

[ Felin : Deku Mine : B1 ]

Felin limped through the doorway Izzy held open for her, Akin slowly fluttering above the Kokiri girl. The tentacle-like monsters were new, but their slow, random movements suggested they could be killed easily. She tried to dig out her sword, but pain flared through her right arm.
Akin spoke up, "Felin! You're not strong enough to fight yet! Let Izzy deal with them!" He expected the boy to give a shifty glance in the fairy's direction, but who else could they rely on?
Felin didn't listen, much less hear the fairy. She attempted to stab one of the tentacle monsters, bringing her blade down, but once she planted the steel in the creature, she didn't have the strength to pull it back out. The creature, on the other hand, took notice and began using the tentacles to try and suck Felin's arm in, most likely attempting to munch on a snack. Felin screamed and shook her arm furiously, but the creature wouldn't let go. "Get it off! Get it off!" she screamed in a rather high pitch, and began to dance around. Subconsciously, she stepped on something, which pressed down under the weight of her foot, before planting it in the "mouth" of another tentacle monster.
"These are Popos." Akin said, "They try to snack on anything that falls where they can pick it up with their limbs."
"That's great, get them off!" Felin shouted. She stumbled some more, her other foot falling into a third Popo, which made her topple over and, by coincidence or not, land on the fourth, which clung to the wounds on her side. She screamed in pain, but suddenly, the pain began to dissipate. Her agony soon turned to curiosity, as she wondered just what they were doing to her.
After a while, the Popos let go, each gave a small burp, and continued their course.
Felin looked down at her body, hands, and legs. The large gashes and scars from the blade traps seemed to dissapear, though there was still a few small traces. "What the..."
Akin flew up to her, "One thing not many know is they have curative properties."

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

"Luke?" Phyela asked. She heard him say something, but the echoes distorted it, so she had to decipher the words. She believed he had said he finished digging, so she nodded to herself and tried to climb the rocky surface, chunks falling off every so often. They must've been loosened from Luke,'s efforts. Soon enough, she made her way out of the hole and saw him holding the door open. Again. She gave him a kind smile, same as before, as she walked into this new room. The first thing that caught her eye was the wall on the opposite side, guarded by a couple of crabs. Since it was made of the dirt that Luke's mysterious mitts could dig through, she devised a plan. "Hm. I'll take care of the crabs while you dig through that." she pointed at the wall. "Sound fair?" she then made a cannonball intothe water, not caring about getting wet at this point, since there seemed to be water wherever they went. Although something caught her eye, and bruised her rump at the same time. Looking down at it, she saw a treasure chest and snapped her fingers, though the water muted out the noise. She surfaced, and turned around to climb onto the north patch with the crabs. Quickly, she whipped out her wand and fired a tornado of ice particles at one of them.
However, it quickly darted off to the left, avoiding her attack, before returning to its slower gait of moving forward and backward. Phyela tried again, and this time, it moved to the right. The witch scratched her head. These things were too fast for her magic, it seemed. Maybe a different approach was in order.

[[Felin's scene came on the fly; decided to give the Popos a sort of leech/phoenix tear *koffharrypotterkoff* thing]]

[ Luke : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

Luke let the door fall after they had both passed through, then looked around a bit before nodding his agreement at her plan. "Sounds good to me," he said, diving into the water as she cannonballed. After swimming across and pulling himself up at the other side, he ran forward, ignoring the crab monsters, leaving them up to Phy. Once he reached the cream-colored wall, he grinned, and struck the claws of his Mitts together. They instantly reacted and started clawing at the stuff wildly. "Whooooaaa!" he yelled excitedly as he was dragged along. He didn't have far to go, though, before reaching the other side.

All he found here was a white and grey, metal pull-lever on the far wall. "Hm, wonder what this does?" he thought out loud, before approaching it slowly. He grabbed it one-handed and tugged a bit, but it wouldn't move. "Wanna play it like that, eh?" Giving the lever a determined glare, he gripped it with both hands and pulled harder, making it budge slightly. He started pulling back with all his might, putting the weight of his entire body into it. Finally, it pulled completely out, followed by a short, thick chain; once it was completely pulled, a loud CLACK sounded, and the water level in the entire basement started slowly going down.

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

Phyela heard what sounded lik water draining, so she looked over her shoulders to see that the small river that was there before was completely gone. She smiled, "Nice one Luke! All the water's gone!"
A shove of the crabs as one came right up close to her reminded the witch of her duty. Well, if focused ice blasts didn't work, how about a spread? The witch readied her staff, stepping to one end of the small plateau and fired a steady stream of ice. She then made a dash to the other side, the stream following as best it could, which, to her suspicions, froze both the crabs in place. Now she could finish them off.
Walking towards one of them, which was closer to the edge, she touched it with a single finger, the tip glowing blue. The crab slowly froze inside out, and Phyela gave it a whack with her staff, reducing it to shards. As for the other, it was closer to the dirt wall Luke dug through. She applied the same procedure, and then gave it a whack as well, the shards making a minor explosion from the force of her wand.
She gave a proud stance, and heaved a sigh. "Well, that takes care of that."

[ Izzy : Deku Mine : B1 ]

After Felin stepped on the switch, Izzy heard what sounded like a gate slowly opening back in the main room. But that wasn't what was important now; his friend was in trouble.

"Fel!!" Izzy yelled, running forward with his slingshot ready. He shot a few deku seeds at the Popos, but they didn't retaliate at all. When they all got off of her, he saw that they had healed her, and let out a quiet "Oh..." He stared at the creatures, then back at Felin, holding out a hand to help her up. "Huh... That's odd. They seem not to even notice any attacks. I think they're just gonna leave us alone. Maybe we should just focus on the other ones," he finished, looking over at the Ropas. They looked like big bouncing plants with tentacles... Probably not too tough.

[ Felin : Deku Mine : B1 ]

"Yeah," Felin grabbed Izzy's hand. She turned around, looking at the other odd enemies. They looke like the Popos, except had a green hue, and the way they bounced suggested they were more aggressive. Felin let the Popos be, and proceeded to deal with the new ones...
When suddenly one lauched itself at her! She had to guard with her sword, but even then, that wasn't enough. They weighed more than they looked. "Izzy!" she sliced at the beast, knocking it back and then guarding with her sword. "Don't take these lightly!" She kept stabbing and slicing at it, but it just didn't seem to die! Felin was quickly losing breath, strength, and patience. These were strong, she gave them that, but they needed to be killed if they were to attempt at opening the chest they guarded.
She had pushed the one she was attacking close to the rear wall, which attracted the attention of the second. The first leapt at her, in which she guarded, but the other one managed to make it's way around the chest, and also leapt at the Kokiri girl, knocking into the sword, and throwing her off balance. She took a couple steps back, haphazardly slashng at whichever came at her. She was tiring quickly, despite her heals from the Popos. "Izzy, see if your slingshot works!"

[[If I remember right, Ropas were a b***h to kill, especially when you had low level armor and weapons. This is reflected in the fight here.]]

[ Luke : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

After the lever was completely pulled, Luke let out a loud sigh and wiped sweat from his face. "Phew! That thing just didn't wanna come out!" He looked around inside the small space surrounded by the diggable rock for a moment, then passed through the "doorway" he had made, to find Phy... but no monsters. "Took care of 'em already, huh?" he asked with a smile, before walking closer to the edge. "So the waters' completely gone... I thought so, what with the sounds. And it looks like it left behind a treasure chest. I wonder what's inside of it... hopefully something else that'll help us find Aroma..." He stepped off the edge of the island, dropping down a few feet into the pit where the water had been, figuring that Phyela would follow suit.

[ Izzy : Deku Mine : B1 ]

Izzy fit another Deku Seed into the Yellow Jacket and launched it at the second Ropa that Felin had attacked. He kept firing seeds, and it didn't seem to notice at first, but eventually it turned and started hopping menacingly toward him.

"Just don't get close to it or let it touch you, and you should be fine," Haelo said, flying in panicked circles around his head. "These things deal quite a lot of damage."

"But I have to get closer! I have to help Felin!" Izzy shot another seed at the approaching monster, and it fell down a bit before vanishing in a puff of smoke. He took in a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself, then ran toward his friend, pulling back on his slingshot. "Get away from her!" he commanded, though he knew the monster wouldn't listen. He shot the seed, and it hit, but the creature wasn't down yet.

One more to go...

[ Felin : Deku Mine : B1 ]

Felin continued to fend off the other creature. Neither of their fairies seemed to pipe up the monsters' names, but Haelo mentioned they were quite deadly, which Felin took into account. Hopefully this thing'll go down soon...my arm's hurting... She hacked and slashed at the remaining tentacle monster, getting more tired by the minute. Eventually it was too much to keep fighting, and she stabbed the beast, implanting the sword and dragging it down with her, as she collapsed to one knee.
Subsequently, the large gash she made as a final attack was enough to kill the creature, and it disappeared in acolorful display of fire and smoke.
Felin nodded, slumping against the wall, trying to recover her breath. She looked up at Izzy, huffing and puffing, and weakly gestured to the chest. "You...get it...I'm...too tired...right...now..."

---

[ Phyela : Beneath the Well : B1 ]

Phyela practically bounded into the small trench, landing on top of the chest with a loud thud. She gave a small hop as she dismounted, planting her feet on solid ground. "Well? Go on, open it." Phyela offered. Though she first found it, and unintentionally, she might add, she figured Luke would be better off with whatever was inside. The Mole Mitts seemed a nice touch to his garb anyway.
