The night would pass over quickly .....the stars would be replaced by light. Though there was a danger here, that Jasmine and her group would sleep past the morning hours as beyond the forest they were suppose to be going to appeared at this one's edge. Things were strange on the island of beginning, and if she overslept she would find the pathway to this forest lost as time would sweep it away as surely as any great waves.

The third hit had the Growlithe actually cowering ...as the pokemon's tail was tucked. Finally ...finally she had had enough of this ...as she starts to crawl backwards in her own efforts to get away from the girl. Her ears were firmly pin as all thoughts of murder disappeared from her mind ...at least for the moment.

Vanni would find that the path she had choose was that of smothering heat. She would step into the purgatory desert ....as the winds blew a heat that was as bad as the flames of hell, and the only relief to be found ....might actually be in death. For there was no relief to be found in this desert ....as the girl had the misfortunate of stepping into probably the worst of the Island's three faces.

Rita stretched as she slipped from the boat, glancing around the island with a somewhat curious air. She couldn't have been that far behind someone: footprints in the ground were still fresh, as well as a pokemon's scratching.
Nodding, she decided that releasing Whitacre wasn't that bad of an idea. "Come on out Whitacre." She tossed the ball up, the squirtle appearing in a flash and landing next to her, looking around.Whitacre looked around him in every direction, grinning, before he ran after his trainer, who had started to leave him. Naughty he may have been, he certainly didn't want to stay here... Besides, Rita would feed him when they finished here. [1/10]

::Rest was one thing, sleep was another::
::Jasmine sat with Claudandas upon her lap, she had stroked him all through the night... there was a point as finally, she too had begun to dose finally, but she forced herself awake... Claudandas was resting from his previous battle... Lindbergh, well... Lindbergh was just sleeping::
::But as she turned, she looked nowl... and beyond the roots of this tree, she saw it opened out before her, as if sprouted overnight, an impossible forest... she wondered if this was a dream, if she actually had fallen asleep here::
::There was only one way to check, as she stopped stroking the Purrloin, looking to the feline:: Claudandas?
::She didn't even need to shake him, the cat seemed to rouse at noticing she had stopped carressing his fur, he rose slowly, stretching his back and claws, looking to the girl with lidded eyes, a light meow of inquisitiveness::
::The girl nodded towards the sight that had appeared in the one moment of sleep, causing the cat to stand straight up:: ...Is this the forest we need to find Amber?
::Claudandas may not have been creative as Lindbergh in communicating with the girl, but as he nodded and suddenly stepped forward, waiting for her to join, it was certainly simple enough to understand!::
::Up Jasmine rose, it was probably painful, just to watch, but she at least felt better than earlier now she'd seen to her injuries... she had no idea if the rest had done them any good, but at least she was ready:: C'mon Lindbergh?
::The Gligar didn't even budge, snorting slightly and glowering darkly as an ear flicked...:: [Put me back in my ball if you want... I'm doing nothing]
::She wasn't getting left alone or put in the ball either, as Jasmine sighed and simply picked up the Gligar, draping the pokémon over her shoulders, receiving more than a threatening shake of a stinger, but ignoring it as she crutched forward aside the Purrloin, looking to the strange forest... taking her first step forward:: Alright, Claudandas... lead on.

((...it only now occurs to me that myself and Lunar are within different time zones, thus while it is 5am here, it is later then...hmm...this may well effect things...))Raven glanced at the island as the boat slid through the water, coming to a halt rather close to another. Only a short distance away the boy could see the retreating form of what was likely another student.
Silent he pulled himself out of the boat, slipping into the lapping waves, feet sinking loosely into the side. Quietly he made his way to the full shore, turning away from both the boat, and his fellow student. His direction was set from the moment he'd spotted the girl. He would avoid her as best as he was able...competition could spur growth by leaps and bounds...but now was not the time for it.
Placing a hand upon the hilt of his blade as he often did, the boy wandered out into the unknown of the island...----   [1/10]

The heat was like standing in front of an open brick oven, only a thousand thousand times worse. Regretting that she hadn't brought sunscreen over even a water a bottle- thinking about that is NOT going to help! the voice scolded- Vanni took inventory. Most notable was Phoebe, who very obviously looked like she was sweltering but forcing herself not to show it. Though she swayed where she her jaw was set defiantly.
"Too bad," Vanni said calmly, pulling out the Pokeball she'd marked with a purple crescent moon. "I need you in tip-top condition. See you when we see you." Before Phoebe could even try to protest, she was recalled to the blessed neutralness of the Pokeball.
Vanni sighed. Now she had to endure this alone. With a business-like snap, she opened her parasol- what was the point of it if you didn't put it to use?- and began to walk again.

Riku was glad that the Growlithe had stopped attacking, watching as it crept away. Though she was sad that she hadn't been able to catch it, feeling that the pokemon would have been a great addition to her team. Well it was past the time and now she had other things to worry about. Her left shoulder ached horribly from the bite from the fire dog. She would have to go search for water to try and clean the wound and because the girl desperately needed water. Not knowing how much longer she could survive without it, and with none of her pokemon able to be much help. Setting off, her jaw was set stubbornly as she continued walking on the desert terrain.

The heat beat down across her brow, causing Vanni to pull top hat down. Her eyes began to ache from the strain of the heat, so she hoped that the minimal shade would help matters some. She was even a bit envious of Phoebe- being inside the Pokeball sounded like a grand idea right now. But she traveled on; she wasn't tired yet, and there was so much to do.

All at once the heat would disappear, giving way to a cold breeze and the sound of swaying leaves. Like a mirage shrubs and plants seemed to appear around the girl. Tall trees with thick, strong trunks towered over the child, glimpses of the moon peaking through the canopy. As if at the drop of the hat, the environment all around her had changed...as had the inhabitants.
The bushes shook faintly, a pair of almost blank white eyes starring out at the youth. Tentacles of some horrid beast reached out to ensnare the girl; but as they drew closer something would become abruptly clear...these weren't tentacles....but vines.

Vanni started. with the sudden change in scenery. Hadn't just just been in a sweltering hot desert? All around her was a forest that was cool in the night, almost comfortingly so. She relaxed almost instantly, hand raised to her eyes to wipe away the sweat. Her gripped on the parasol loosened, slipping to her shoulder. This was wonderful. For one wild second, Vanni considered that perhaps the sun, heat, and sand had been too much for her- perhaps she had began to hallucinate. It wasn't like that would be the first time Ms. Giavanna Alistair had brushed with madness.
WOULD YOU PAY ATTENTION, YOU DAFT BINT?!
Her eyes focused to see a pair of dull white eyes staring at her and a group of strange tentacle-like vines reaching our for her. Vanni gave a muffled shierk, stumbling backwards as far as she could until her foot hit a tree root and she swayed precariously. The creature could be given credit- it had managed to startle Vanni. She held her parasol in front of her like it was a shield, fishing around in her purse for Phoebe's Pokeball. When she grabbed it, she released the poison rabbit as fast as she could.
It only took a couple seconds for Phoebe to assess the situation her mistress had somehow gotten herself into. The little Nidoran dodged under the parasol and stood on light toes before other Pokemon. /Excuse me!/ she called in that bossy tone she'd picked up from Vanni. /But what exactly are you doing?/

The vines would sway slightly, lifting the girl up into the air by her ankles. The leaves of the bushes would rustle slightly as the Nidoran received her reply ">Dinner<" A smooth, calm female voice spoke as a Tangela marched out into view. Slowly, and with every second the Nidoran didn't do something, more of the Grass-Types vines would reach out and wrap themselves around her body. With each passing moment their grip would get tighter...

Jasmine would find when she stepped into the forest ...a place that time seemed to have forgotten. Trees that seemed to be ancient and wise, and the sound of something in the distances that couldn't be quite easily identified.PETRIFIED FOREST
A forest that has trees as hard as steel. The wood has been harden by time, this is a place where ancient pokemon roam ....and where the past and the future meets. It is said that those that journey here can sometimes if they are very lucky be touched by the master of time. Though it might be very time consuming to find the treasure buried only bark deep in the trees.
