ManehattanHome to Applejack's Aunt and Uncle Orange. Shown to resemble New York City. Tall buildings allow the view of the seemingly distant Ponyville.
TrottinghamMentioned by Pip to be his original hometown until his family moved to Ponyville.
HoofingtonMentioned in Trixie's false story of vanquishing an Ursa Major monster. Might also be Trixie's hometown.
FillydelphiaMentioned by Princess Celestia. Name based on Philadelphia.
AppleloosaShown to be a relatively new pony settlement and resembles a town from the Wild West era. Name based on the appaloosa breed of horses. Home to Applejack's cousin Braeburn, and possibly other family members.
I think that's it so far, but I'm sure they'll add more places as the series progresses.
True, I would personally like to name him "Greedy b*****d." Oh, and help! I have the Granny Smith flashback

Oh, and young Granny Smith looks almost exactly like Applejack, except with two ponytails! I couldn't tell though if her hair was white even back then, or if it turned white due to age. Brilliant scene and timing though gave me the freaking chills.
