"Nothing," Ren said, and for once his voice was hard, filled with an edge that had not been there before. "It's nothing, Natalia, don't worry about it."

He was not about to bring up the island experience; not here, not now, when they were all booking it away from Professors Red and Arel in a crowded hallway and attempting to escape from their wrath.

Ren chanced a glance back over his shoulder.

Bad idea.

The expression on the gym teacher's face was livid, her anger and irritation nearly tangible as it ricocheted off of the walls.

Oh, no, wait, that was the gnomeball - the one that was coming straight towards them.

"Now is not the time to get chatty," said Ren, attempting to sound lighthearted, but it was forced. "Now is the time to get our Jacking butts out of here."

Something thwacked against the wall behind him, hard and heavy, and Ren's wings fluttered as he ducked automatically.

The gnomeball bounced away, rolling away harmlessly.


[ ESCAPE SUCCESSFUL ]

The secretary did not even flinch as Red kicked the poor gnome from the half-smashed office door into several of the students. The vacuum did not quite make it either as it gave one last wheeze and then skittered as fast as it could down the hallway, cord trailing behind it, several students following the haunted item's example.

Arel sighed a bit at the few students that were seemingly knocked out in the crossfire. Perhaps later he would get someone to clean up the mess. Much later. Even though Red had just had her share of yelling, even though the students had done a fine job of 'spying', he just looked in general very distant and more sad than angry, as if finally nearing the end of a long-winded speech. "You are going-" it was still hard to hear some of the conversation even with the half-destroyed door barricading the two inside the office. The secretary took another step back, so that they were just against the door, one hand against the frame. "I have already said my peace."

Another step back. "I guess then there's no other choice."

The doors crackled, the walls shook, and everything within the office turned into a solid barricade of ice, a thin layer of frost spreading across the hallway itself.

Shehk 'oomphed' as she hit the floor, tail puffing up, but she patted Bea on the arm. "Hey, you okay?" she asked, seeming concerned by how hard the ghost ghoul had been hit by the gnome. However, her concern was short lived as she looked over her shoulder at the ice demon who was..

Oh hells to the no. Shehk's lips tightened a bit. That was a lot of ice. A lot of it. And frankly, Shehk's body was cold enough as was. She didn't need to get to the point where someone would need to take a hair dryer to her to get her moving at all. She didn't exactly have that luxury anymore!

However, she didn't exactly want to move and end up getting hit by the ice any further. In fact, Shehk held onto Bea's arm and put a finger to her lips.

"Shhhhh...let's play dead.." she winked at the joke of the phrasing, but beyond that held still. It seemed that some sort of little lover's spat had happened and she wanted to know if she'd hear anything further than that. Or if she'd be frozen solid. Alas. Either way, she hoped that somehow by playing dead she wouldn't end up with Detention. Sob. She never wanted to be in that second bathroom ever again.

“What are you –“ Red said too slowly, turned too late to stop him. All she could do was cross her arms in front of her face to take the brunt of the attack, knees bent as she slid back. She yelled at him, the thick ice reducing each individual word into an angry roar with raising and lowering pitch. There was the vague form of her making some sort of arm movement before the brilliant red swish of her cloak hid her as she turned away from him and the students. Was she saying something? It was hard to tell, impossible as the Fear around her rippled.

Gone was the red cloak, gone was the black bodysuit in an instant. All that remained was a bipedal white wolf creature that was midair, paws and claws outstretched as the gym professor lunged at the secretary in her natural form. She made contact, wasting no time in slashing at his chest as she roared at him. It wasn't an angry shout: the sheer fury and power behind the roar made her less of a werewolf, and more of a werelion.

When Levi shook herself, sitting back up, the floor had grown frosty and cold. The tatzel kept a pretty warm body temperature, but even this was a bit much being so close to the frozen office.

She then remembered that Lizzy got chilled very easily and took up the petite ghoul in a bear hug to keep her warm. The discussion wasn't over yet. Rather than disciplining them all, one of them-

JACKING SKIPPY!

Levi squinted to try and make out the transformation, but it was really quite blurred through the ice. Was one attacking the other?! If the staff were turning on each other, Lizzy was perhaps correct; something suspicious was definitely going on. Levi kept her clutch on the demoness lying unconscious while doing her best to keep a listening ear and watchful eye on the happenings in the office.

The she-wolf was not quite sure what had happened exactly. But what she did know was that she was no longer clutching her boilfriend's hand. And Red had just attacked Arel. On top of that, the secretary had...Jacking hell! Had he really just used a FEAR attack?! LW was...stunned, remaining where she was crouched on the floor. This was the first time she had ever really seen their gym Professor fight. But she was so confused as to what was going on. Should she run? Probably.

She shuddered at the sudden drop in temperature. Jack that was cold. And getting colder? Shivering again, she crawled along the floor towards the closest student she could see moving around. To Levi, "A-Are you guys...alright?" She asked in a low voice, eyes glancing briefly at the ghouls (one of them appeared to be unconscious). "Skulls! Th-This might get really dangerous." LW really wanted to know what happened to Ren and Natalia. Hopefully they had escaped successfully.

Her gaze returned to watch the two professors warily. A part of her wanted to see how this ended, but another part wanted to flee while there was still a chance. But...why do they have a pendent? Jack damned curiosity.

Mandy thought she’d been doing a rather good job a sneaking after the professors to spy accidently overhear whatever juicy gossip they had unlike some other students she could mention. Which was why when she suddenly found herself on the floor of the suspiciously deserted hallway, feeling slightly bruised, she could be forgiven for being a might bit confused. What on Halloween had happened? The last thing she remembered was seeing Arel hold up one of those pendants before something suddenly blurred towards he-

Ah. She’d been hit by a gnome.

Still that didn’t explain where everyone had gone, they’d been quite a lot of them loitering about…

It was Professor Red’s shout that drew her attention back to the two that she’d been following in the first place and let her realize exactly why almost everyone had fled. They were fighting

And not just the regular fights students sometimes got into, oh no it was a full on Fear fight.

“Jack.”

Scrambling to get up Mandy was ready to join all the other sensible people in fleeing when she finally took in who the other students left where.

Lizzy, Danny, Levi…

Oh Jack it why did she have to be so loyal to friends!?! She couldn’t just leave them to the teacher’s mercy, even if it ended badly for her! You’d think such habits would have been culled from her by now with the number of times it had gotten her killed.

Determined she scrambled over to them, glancing at the boil that was with them. Neither Danny nor Lizzy looked in too good a condition; the iciness of the hall probably wasn't that good for either of them.

Seeing as Levi appeared to be trying to take care of Lizzy already she decided to focus on Danny. "Hey, you all right?" she whispered to the ghoul, prodding her.

She was about to answer Levi when she heard something come from the gym office, and instantly felt the temperature around her drop a few degrees; being this close to the office meant that she could hear bits and pieces of the faculty members' discussion, but she was ill-prepared for the fight between the two. She shivered; the sudden drop in the temperature around her meant that her body temperature dropped with it. Without much to keep her warm, she shivered and flopped to the ground, conscious but not really there; to most people, she would look like she had been knocked out cold.

Thus it was a good thing Levi came to her rescue or she would have become really still until she's warm again.

Feeling Levi's warm body around her, she smiled, although made no efforts to really move until a moment later, when she felt her body temperature going back to normal. Putting her arms around the ghoul, she returned the hug gratefully, "T-thanks." She murmured before looking up at another concerned looking face.

Why are all her friends so awesome?

"J-just cold," She managed a weak chuckle at Mot before frowning, glancing towards the now frozen door; what caused Arel to be this mad at Red?!
