Ru positively skipped back to the grounds to try again. She ignored the sticker's wooze, hurrying over the hurdles. She glanced back: The wall had barely reached the staring space, yet, so, she hopped over the hurdles back to it, and over them again to the front, as if bragging at the gnomes.

Stage One: Pass
Riley would be dreaming about flaming obstacles courses for months after this event. Though, she had to admit, as she jumped over each hurtle - this was a great workout for the legs.

After having gone home and studied her guide book for Jumping Plumber Man, Pepin was ready to take on this b*****d again. Still, without cheats she was prepared for another pixel explosion as she approached the first hurdles.

Stage Three
The edge of the screen was getting closer and Pepin found herself cornered again at the part of the level that killed her previously. There were no digital idols she could pray to, maybe besides keyboard canon cat, but even that was a long shot.
Perhaps Zalgo would've been a better choice..

Stage One: (Riley and Jericho team up) 63 + 3 = 66/2 = 33 Pass
By this time, Riley had completely forgotten about the first time she'd teamed up with her best friend and died a horrible coupling death. Riley did not forget things. Riley could not forget things. It wasn't actually possible.
Except when fire tore through her Fear repeatedly until her brain was still feeling the aftereffects for hours after she'd returned to normal.
This was just such an occasion.
Let's go. She took Jericho's hand in determination, and headed through the hurtles together.

Stage One 3+63 = 66/2 = 33 for Jericho/Riley! PASS
Jericho had been expecting to take on the hurtles alone just as before. So when Riley grabbed him to go along, he nearly ended up crashing once more out of surprise. The Mindflayer helped him keep up.. sort of, but he did stumble his way through.
Once on the other side, he let out a breath and looked back.
"Next time, give me a bigger heads up please."

Heads up? Riley looked at him in confusion, distracted by the phrase so much that she almost walked into a flaming hoop, instead of jumping over it. She backed up, but her hand was still firmly held in Jericho's - and he practically dragged her through them all himself.
Yes. Uh. Heads up. Would be nice. I have a headache. Can we get some ice cream?

Pulling Riley back to keep her from walking into the flaming hoop, Jericho took a breath and more or less dragged her through like a boss. He owned these hoops this time around. Was it sheer determination, or just luck? Who knew? Who cared.
"Ice cream sounds amazing. We'll get some... regardless if we end up in the infirmary again."

She was really excited about that ice cream.

So excited, in fact, that she bust through the flaming balls headfirst, moving away quick enough that she rolled out of the reach of the explosion just in time.

Oh this was new. Jericho had never made it this far before. He paused for the moment, watching the swinging bombs. The fact that Riley was so excited about ice cream, was getting him feeling the same way as well.
"You know what. It'll be on me too," he grinned as he rolled out of the way of the obstacles alongside his friend with relative ease.
