"That would be great." Shehk answered, sighing. The sigh wasn't aimed at Chun Mu, and that much would be obvious. It was simply that there was a giant mess and Shehk still wasn't sure how Riley had actually eaten anything.
It wasn't too difficult to sort the mess out between the two ghouls and Shehk soon fixed the display with more spookies, arranging them as neatly as they had been before...and replacing a few stray minipets that had been thrown out-of-place by the mindflayer's rampage.
"I guess I should have learned about that side of Riley sooner."

Now where had that toy gone to? Sheridan had hastily retreated from the human studies booth after having lost one of the toys that served as ammunition for the game there. Now he was searching for the lost toy, part of him feeling bad that he had lost it in the first place, but the other part almost hoping he didn't find it in case it had hit someone!
Oh, there it was! It didn't look like it had hit anyone, or at least there wasn't anyone angrily standing by it searching for whoever had thrown it. He was reaching to pick the toy up when his gaze fell on the nearby FEARleading booth.
FEARleading? What was that? It didn't sound like something he was especially interested in, but it looked like they were selling something? Placing the wayward toy in one pocket, he approached the booth. Oh, spookies, those looked delicious. Digging in his pockets (making sure to avoid the one he had stashed the toy in), Sheridan retrieved a silver seed to purchase a yellow bag of spookies.
"I'd like one of those, please."

Charlie had been enjoying his bag of spookies and just finished up his last one when he swore he saw another tasty treat. A giant gummy worm? And it was right there!!! The demon walked up to it and gave it a tug only to find it was attached to another student, dragon like and big. The size of the student was intimating enough for Charlie to bail on the fear leading booth and migrate else where before the student realized who pulled his tail.
The demon hadn't noticed but the magical toy crab from Savages booth had latched on to one of his horns. Also a Carmine that had ninja attacked also hitched a ride to the next booth. How the hell hadn't Charlie noticed THAT?!

Although Carmine had been shouting and noticed by a few others latched onto Charlie's horn, somehow the demon hadn't taken notice. Carmine attributed it to his spookies induced trance and instead of tapping on his head or pulling his hair, he just gripped a little tighter and took a nap for the remainder of the ride. Before he drifted into semi-sleep, he noticed that Charlie appeared to be wandering off into a new direction.

He had been about to thank the attendant at the FEARleading both when--ARRGGG!
The SNARL may have been unexpectedly fierce, eyes narrowed angrily as the dragon reeled around to confront (and quite possibly bite) whoever had just pulled on his tail.
Sheridan's tail lashed with an angry snap! If there was one way to make the celestial dragon angry, it was pulling (or stepping on) his tail! It was only lucky Charlie hadn't tried to actually bite his tail, otherwise there might have been a stream of frozen plasma fired in his direction.
Not that a six and a half foot tall dragon chasing you was any better! A growl, and Sheridan was after him!
"GET BACK HERE!"
THAT IS NOT A GUMMY WORM CHARLIE!

Shehk seemed to have gotten things back in order in time for Sheridan to have appeared. Shehk grinned, giving the dragon one of the bags of spookies before grabbing up another one for herself.
Or rather...
for an errand she was about to run.
"Hey Sin, can you hold down the fort for a bit? I want to pop over to the Bruteball booth for a bit and say hello to Nukpana." she asked, before jogging off, the offering of sweets-for-the-boy in hand.
She'd be back soon enough, right?
Maybe.

"It's no problem at all!" Chun Mu smiled and collected all the plastic and spookies chunks into a pile before finding somewhere to dispose of them. She giggled a little, "I guess FEARleaders make good spookies," she pet one of the little minipets and looked around. People were dispersing fast, and the scary hooded figures were still there. This would be a good time to check out some other booths. "Well I'm sure it's not your fault..." Chun said and trailed off, getting antsier by the moment. She was going to leave, and she was going to leave right now. But where to? "I'm just going to check out some other booths..." MuMu cleaned up the last bit of scrap and left the booth. Shehk was gone for mere minutes before the FEARleading captain suddenly returned, seeming in a rush and very much bothered. Her ears drooped and a frown on her face.
Clearly something had happened at the Bruteball table, but Shehk wasn't inclined to share. In fact, she quickly retook her seat at the booth and shuffled anxiously.
"M'back...."

When Junko had heard Nuk had a booth she considered following Shehk to go see him, but then she thought better of it. She didn't want to intrude and surely they'd want to do something fun together. She'd just go see him later! So instead she stayed, waving goodbye to the ghoul who was wandering off to another booth before she resumed petting and cooing to the spiderpom.
Huh? Was that Shehk? Junko blinked, tilting her head and watching the pricolici sit down. "That was fast! Was he not there?" Junko looked away to squint and peer at the Bruteball table. No, Nuk was definitely there. So then why was Shehk back so soon? Weird!
...She didn't look so good. Junko frowned and looked toward the Bruteball table again. Was everything okay? Hmmm! This wasn't cool! Did she have to extend her no frowning rule for Seiji to the rest of her friends too? Junko suddenly smiled and held the spiderpom carefully by its abdomen facing Shehk, making little kissy noises. "Don't be sad, Miss Shehk~. Everything okay?"

Shehk looked up, seeming surprised when Junko suddenly addressed her, smiling. Though the smile seemed less sincere than the smiles she'd been throwing about earlier. She couldn't get that flipping feeling out of her chest. It was aching.
The Pricolici reached out to pet the Spiderpom's abdomen, the creature clicking and squirming, unsure of how it felt about it.
"It's nothing. He's just stressed out." she half-lied. Certainly that seemed to be what his problem was, but she had a feeling there was some issue that was deeper than what she was currently privvy to.
Was something going on with the skinwalker? She would corner him to ask him about it later.

"Nuk? Really?" Junko sounded surprised, mostly because she didn't think Nuk could get stressed out! She glanced back toward Nuk's table one more time before she gently put the spiderpom on the booth in front of Shehk, then put her hands on her hips.
"Should I go bug him for you? I'm okay with giving him a smack or two now!" Okay, so she probably wouldn't actually be smacking him but it sounded like something that would amuse the ghoul! Please smile? Please? Today was fun! Today was great! No frowning. Please don't frown, Shehk.

Shehk slumped on the booth a bit, ears drooping completely.
"I..." she paused and sighed deeply, frowning more. "No. Go say hi if you want to, but don't do it because of me." she bit her lower lip a bit. It was a surprise those fangs of hers didn't pierce completely through them. Then again, it was probably because they had before that they didn't now.
"I..." she paused again, shifting a bit before she finished her thought. "I..think he's mad at me for some reason. He looked at me like I'd stabbed him in the back and he was appalled I'd even shown my face at his booth. He was cordial, but man."
She sunk into her chair and sniffled a bit, obviously bothered.
"I had this feeling if I hung around he'd shank me in the back..."

Wow...Shehk was really upset for some reason. Junko frowned, looking unsure of what to do now. Was she okay? No, that was a silly question. Shehk wasn't okay. The question was why. Of course her unasked question was answered a moment later, and it actually surprised her! Nuk? Mad at Shehk? Such a thing hardly seemed possible; Shehk being mad at Nuk seemed more likely than the other way around! But that was strange. That was no way to behave toward your ghoulfriend! "That's...really weird..." She looked back toward the booth again, spotting Seiji there as well now. No, she couldn't approach Nuk when he was surrounded by students. Even if Shehk didn't want her to go over there because of her, Junko was still going to try and figure out why Nuk was being a jerk to her. Hadn't he worked hard for her? It'd certainly seemed that way just watching from the outside!
Junko heard the sniffle and whipped her head back to see Shehk sinking lower and lower. Noooo! She sighed quietly and rubbed the back of her neck, stepping around the table to Shehk's side and leaning down. Junko rest her head on top of the pricolici's and draped her arms around the ghoul's shoulders in a warm, comforting hug, nuzzling her cheek against the top of her head between her ears. "It'll be okay, Shehk! Maybe you're right and he's just stressed or something~." Don't be saaaaaad!

"I just... he said one word to me, Junko. One. I didn't even have to attempt to count it." she sniffed, leaning again the futakuchi onna's shoulder, her own slumping depressedly.
"He's been acting strange in general lately. Distant, even..." The Pricolici couldn't even bring herself to hugging Junko back, her own concern causing her eyes to glance towards the bruteball booth again. Her heart sunk back into her chest. The booth was getting activity. That was good. She really did want his booth to do well and for the team to be awesome.
Easier to cheer for a team that was awesome as far as Shehk was concerned.
None the less, she nuzzled herself against Junko, her tail wagging just a bit. "But I think the stress is just getting to him, right? He'll be better once the open house is over." she sounded hopeful..and a part of her had a feeling she was being..falsely and optimistically hopeful about everything.
But she couldn't help it.
Shehk didn't know what she'd do if he was really mad at her.

None of that sounded anything like Nuk. Nuk? Say only one word to Shehk? Not hit on her or try to get a kiss from her? Nothing? Nada? That didn't sound like him at all. Junko moved a hand to lightly pet Shehk's hair and then rub behind one of her ears, shivering a bit and releasing the hug just slightly. Shehk was kind of cold, and while she was used to Seiji being cold it didn't make it any less discomforting. Distant? Strange? Nuk was certainly strange but...distant?
"Well...he's public relations in our student council, and this is a school run event...and bruteball and classes...maybe they're just working him really hard." Shehk was right! Once open house was over everything would be okay! He was just tired! That had to be it. There couldn't be any other explanation for it. "It'll be okay, Shehk! Don't worry! I hear prom is coming, too! Bet he'll love to see you in a pretty dress." Junko gave a nod as if that meant everything was settled, looking down at the booth.
Hm...she was here...might as well turn the topic toward something happier, right? She didn't want to see Shehk sad. "So...what's Fearleading like? I've never done it before."
