Faleen nodded to what Inigo had said "Apparently its a celebration of another year." She had to keep things a little vague considering they were in public. "I'm not really sure why its being celebrated here, but I suppose this is a good opportunity to get out for an evening, some of us tend to keep ourselves pretty cooped up." While Faleen certainly preferred being in the base, she knew others didn't always feel the same way, and it appeared that while there were some who didn't look like they were having a good time, most of the rockets arriving seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Jerome blinked at Izumi a couple of times, trying to put a finger on who Faleen was, though at the mention of mechanical things it clicked, that one girl that had been talking to him. "Uh, yeah, I guess, I don't know her" he said, with a slight shrug. "The one talkin' about yer arm."

"Ah," Frost raised his eyebrow at Izaya again, speaking as blandly as ever, "you rightly observe that I did not answer your question. I shall however respond to your next question: I said 'seem the same' because I was repeating what you had said, and had no particular intention of satisfying your curiosity. I have no more intention of doing so now. You are the investigator; ask around and you might find out whether or not I chose to come here, and whether or not I am having fun." Ah, Xander had finished. Turning away from the pest of a trainee to face his roommate he made a dismissive gesture as if shooing away a fly. "Run along and ask your questions Izaya. I will not elucidate further on the matter. Xander, congratulations, you can sing in key; my ears are eternally grateful. Would you like a drink? Non-alcoholic of course, I do not wish to travel home with the smell of drink in my car."

"Ah, I see..." Between Inigo's and Faleen's fragments, it wasn't difficult to draw the full explanation. It helped that she was fairly familiar with Team Rocket's history in Kodo; now that she thought about it, the dates did match up.
Well, that was... true enough. Aila had to admit that if she hadn't been dragged along, she definitely would have been one of the ones remaining at the base yet again. When was the last time she had left for anything other than a mission? Not since the short trip she had taken after being released from the medical ward in... February? Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing to spend a casual evening out of the base for once, even if it wasn't her favorite place to be...
She glanced around the room, having yet to fully assess who all was in attendance. There was Lilith - it had been ages since she'd last seen Lilith. Ah, but she was with Sorano and his sister, so it probably wasn't tactful to approach her... Frost she recognized, but not the person he was with. There were other familiar faces, but, well... "Why do people come to these places?" She was mostly talking to herself, though it was a legitimate curiosity. "It doesn't seem as though there's much to do if you're not an alcoholic."

Frost shot Aila a sideways glance and raised an eyebrow. "Well, I suppose observing the foolish antics of the local 'wildlife' could be considered entertaining?" He suggested dryly. If he could watch from a safe clean little booth he supposed he would quite enjoy watching the pathetic little human play. As it was he felt sick. Did it make him feel better to know that Aila wasn't much happier to be here than he was? No. Another's misery did not alleviate his own. A few songs. He had said he might stay for a few songs. The only one he had heard in full so far was Xander's, and that was not a few. He just wanted to get out of here, get in the car, and drive. Alone. He had to take Xander home though so he couldn't be alone. Maybe he would drop his roommate off and jump into one of the light off roaders, take it for a spin out in the desert night. Maybe that would help.

"Yeah..." Izumi mused about the idea that the blond woman might visit her shop and they could talk about machines and robots together. For hours. That would be awesome. They could talk about machines and robots and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that Izumi made.
The fact that a group of people had gathered around to ask questions about her arm, and not the way she lost it, made the mechanic just a little happy. "I-It is cool... D-did you know it has sensors in it t-that simulate nerve endings? I-Its not as good as... um... a real arm... B-but, it feels things." She smiled shyly at Jerome, not sure that the man would really find it interesting.

At the question, Faleen glanced up and scanned the room as well. "Mmm, some like to sing, I suppose to each their own though, at least one of the higher end places was chosen." She added. leaning her chin onto her hand, elbow propped onto the table, her Other hand distractedly petting over the ring over her Umbreon's head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jerome shrugged lightly, before glancing back over when she started to talk more in length about her arm, none of it he actually understood. "I didn't know machines can feel things." He added, with a raised eyebrow "ya can feel like its a normal hand?"
Asch had spent a long day in Camphoreon. With the continued instances of being mistaken for his stupid twin, it was obvious that the dreck had to be here somewhere. On his own time, the red haired agent had searched the city, with the intention of confirming his presence and at the very least... chase him out of the region. That moron wasn't wanted here, at least not by him. Luke's place was back in the manor where he belonged.
However, there was no such luck, and now a dark cloud hung over Asch as he pushed through the door of the establishment. He made his way to the darkest and loneliest corner of the place, which best expressed his mood, to brood in silence. Despite it all, his long red hair stuck out like a sore thumb. But anyone that dared approach him, aside from the girl taking his order, received a hateful glare. He just wanted to be left alone to drown his sorrows in peace. And he had many sorrows. Not that he would admit to that.
Inigo shrugged to Aila's question - he wasn't sure what to do in places like this either, he didn't drink (though he was still unaware of Team Rocket's loose drinking age policies) - but at least a few people had some suggestions. But still, that short weird blond guy - in a suit, no less, though it was supposedly an upper-class bar or something like that - was still giving him a nagging feeling at the back of his mind.. Ah, the term 'wildlife' jogged his memory. "Hey, didn't I meet you in the forest a few weeks ago?" He asked, half-turning to better regard the older man. He didn't have any grass-types, that's why it was hard to remember who he was. But what was his name again...? "Called yourself.. D, wasn't it?" But his name was really Frost. Why would he..? Oh, obviously he'd been in Team Rocket longer than he himself had, and it wasn't too much of a stretch to imagine people wanting to hide who they were. Should he do that too? ...probably not, people probably already knew who he was anyway from the papers. At least, in Sandalwood.
"Oh- No... Just pressure sensors that relay feedback to the rest of my arm." She smiled nervously, glancing down at her prosthetic. "I-its sort of like when your leg goes numb..." The sensation had taken years to get used to, but eventually it became as familiar as of any of her other limbs.
Another heavy sigh. Frost must have just enjoyed being difficult. Well, that was okay; Izaya knew the man couldn't keep up appearances forever. No one could. He would crack...one day. And the informant would make certain he'd be there to see it.
"You must despise me very much to deny me so often," he said, brows furrowing as he put on a melancholy smile. It wasn't that he assumed Frost felt any sort of passionate feeling toward him whatsoever. He was probably indifferent to the man just the same - so long as he didn't touch him or breath on him or get too close for too long. No, he only spoke the words to provide his own explanation for the blond's rejection, as well as a possible provocation to get Frost to say more.
By then, though, it seemed the grunt had turned away already and Xander was already passing him back the microphone. "Me? But I just went; didn't you hear?" he asked, laughing. "Fine; since it was Japanese, I suppose I can humiliate myself a little singing some English song." As the music started, however, the brunette glanced curiously at Xander.
"Oh. I hear you've already taken the liberty of picking one for me." The man chuckled. "Clever. Very clever." A deal was a deal, though. The younger blonde had accepted Nakura's challenge, and Nakura didn't intend to back down from the one he had been given in return. Besides - he liked this song. If only he'd had his white parka with the pink fur trim to sing with it.
While he sang, the crimson-eyed man scooped up the laptop back into his arms, noticing a new man at the table he had been previously sitting at alone. Mmm, I know that face, he thought silently. Could it be...? Ah, but I'd better not pester him now. It wouldn't do to irritate a higher-up while I still have yet to kiss and make up with another one.
Orihara glanced ahead toward Aila where he had been walking to before noticing the red-headed man in the corner. He cast a grin and a childish wave Asche's way before seating himself on a chair beside Aila, his song finished. "My, what a lively crowd we have going here. Why aren't you all on the dance floor?" he asked, looking around at all the people at the table.
Aila frowned slightly at Frost's suggestion. She wasn't really a fan of watching people make fools of themselves, especially not when she was in the company of said people. She had no wish to sing, either, nor drink, nor dance, so that really sort of knocked out anything she could have done there, didn't it?
A recent arrival caught her attention as he made his way across the room and seated himself at a table, and she watched with brow furrowed. What was Asch doing here? He didn't seem the sort to come out to a bar just because an e-mail invited him to do so. He didn't look very happy, either, but he also didn't look like he wanted someone to join him and ask what was wrong. Maybe after he'd had some time to unwind he'd be more receptive to company...
She caught the smile with which Izaya regarded Asch and frowned disapprovingly at the former. The last thing she wanted to deal with now was the trainee giving her partner a hard time. The frown remained as Izaya seated himself at her side, and she turned slightly away; though nowhere near as livid anymore, she was still quite offended by his earlier behavior. "I don't dance, thank you," she replied curtly. It wasn't entirely true, perhaps, but it was at least true that she didn't dance in bars, no matter how high-end they were.
Faleen was content to remain in silence and listening to her team mates, most of them were highly displeased with their situation, in their case a party back on base would have been a better option, or maybe not.
Faleen herself didn't really find the attraction to places like this, but she had an added bonus to the fact that she was somewhat families with the setting, enough so that it didn't bother her. This did not mean that she would go out of her way to go to bars, or clubs, not at all. No, she was here for more cautionary reasons.
Recognizing another Rocket as he passed through the crowds to isolate himself in the back, Faleen tilted her head, oh my, another one looked quite unhappy. She refrained form calling out to him, holding a hand up instead and waving it lightly to get his attention, gesturing him to join them at this table, where she was getting the small group together already.
It was shortly after that someone else did join the table, someone who was in much higher spirits, not that that was very surprising. "And their is that fact that most people do not wish to draw attention to themselves. As a general rule." She added,
"Breon" Her pokemon chimed in, earning a nod from Faleen.
Had Nakura been aware that Asch was Aila's partner, he may had further incentive to meet the long-haired male sitting off by himself. As it was, though, he was more occupied with his commanding Agent than curious about the identity of the red-head.
"Neh, Aila-chan," he said softly, "Why do you seem so upset? I thought you could use a night out. You're always working so hard and I had hoped a party would do you some good. Why the long face?" Adopting a concerned expression, he rested his chin on his palm, supported by his elbow on the table surface. "If you don't want to dance, why not humor me with some intelligent conversation, mm?"
Glancing over at Faleen as she addressed a general response to his earlier question, he chuckled lightly. "Maybe not, but that would depend on your personality, wouldn't it? I'm afraid I don't agree with your statement 'as a general rule'. While a lot of people don't wish to draw attention to themselves, it's true, there are just as many who revel in it." He sneered. "Whether or not that ratio is equal among the invited guests to this party is a whole other matter entirely. Don't you agree, agent?"
"Ah, yes I agree." Faleen nodded, lifting her head off of her hand. "Allow me to rephrase my earlier statement." She continued, "When it comes to this particular group, while there are certainly acceptations" She made her point by gesturing to Izaya himself, "Its generally the case that we try not to draw to much attention to ourselves in public.... Thats probably why this is the first actually outing we've had... any that I'm aware of anyway." She glanced around the time for anyone to correct her on this.
Gatherings like this didn't happen, one or two Rockets went to the city from time to time to buy things, or just stretch their legs, It could be dangerous, especially now.
"Then why didn't you say as much from the beginning?" she replied sharply, continuing to face away. "Why the deception? Why specifically and deliberately lie in order to get me here and then blow me off when I request an explanation? I can't imagine you would think that I like being tricked in such a manner." Heck, maybe if he'd been straightforward in the first place she would have come voluntarily. It was true that she had been doing nothing but work lately, and it was true that she had been holding out for a good break. At this point it was more a matter of principles than anything else.
"I certainly haven't got anything better to do," she sighed at the request for conversation. She had never been the most stellar conversationalist, however, so if Izaya did want to chat he would need to control the flow of conversation himself.
