Alex hesitated before moving again. He just...looked so upset. She didn't mean to make him feel bad or anything. She just...needed to get out of the situation. And running was the best way she knew how.

Gently, she walked towards him rather than the bathroom, and placed a hand on his arm. "Hey...It's okay. I didn't mean to freak out like that, and I probably should have said something earlier about...my powers being on high. Like, actually explained it. Until I get rid of all this, I'm gonna be on alert for quite some time. I just...it was overwhelming. Same reason I backed away from you the second time you rescued me."

Not knowing what else to say, she turned and headed for the bathroom. Ugh...so akward.

Alex walked into the bathroom, carefully closed and locked the door behind her, then turned and let out a deep sigh as she leaned against the door. Well wasn’t this wonderful? What was she going to do? She shouldn’t be here. She shouldn’t be in a situation like this.
Yeah…he was nice and all. And he’d saved her life twice. But…they’ve only known each other for a couple hours. It wasn’t as though she thought he was going to be an a** or anything…or try to push anything. It’s just…ugh. With all of the hormones that keep spiking at random, she’s not sure how much of it she can take. That’s just…ugh. She shouldn’t be in this kind of a spot.

Letting out another sigh, she shook her head and walked over towards the shower, glancing over at the stand as she passed. A couple towels left…and no robes or anything. Oh…wait. This was all she had to wear. This filthy, dirty, garbage soaked, charred, sweaty…
Hissing something under her breath, she stepped into the shower. Boots and all. There should be enough hotel shampoo and soap left for both herself and her clothes. Might as well wash them as best she can as well. She’d be sleeping in at least two of them after all.

As she went about washing away all the dirt and grime, her mind slid back to Lucas. Though…not in the same way he had of her.

…he liked her?
Why? What about her, in the last however many hours, was there to like? Her short temper? Her potty mouth? Or the extreme ‘out of my element’ she had displayed today? She had to be rescued twice within the span of ten minutes. TWICE All she did was poke the thing in the eyes. That was her helpful contribution. What, did she have some warped ‘damsel in distress’ thing going for her today?

…and Riku liked her.
Well, Kenji said that he did, and Riku kind of flipped out on him. So…that was kind of a confirmation, right? He certainly didn’t act like he liked her. But then again, he has a hard time showing any kind of emotion other than arrogant or angry. And he ditches her when he feels like going somewhere else. Not that it’s a big deal…he knows that she can take care of herself. They both know it. Still…she hates being ditched. Hates it.

…and Batman didn’t ditch her, right?
No, they said he was on a list of heroes who had…disappeared. So it’s beyond possible that he was taken while she went off to find Sapphire and come back. Although…they said he was back. She hadn’t seen him yet. But that wasn’t…too surprising, was it? She’d been all over creation again…it wasn’t like she was staying in one designated place waiting for him to meet up with her. And his base of operations was stationed somewhere around that Gotham city. So that was probably his city, that’s probably where he stayed. She hadn’t been in that city in quite some time.

…so…what was she going to do?
She really didn’t know Lucas at all, but he supposedly liked her. Chaos supposedly liked her, she knew him well, and she could like him back if he actually left her friends alone from now on. Batman…she didn’t’ know about. He said he doesn’t do team-ups, but they’d been out and about together quite a few times now. Heck, she’d been to his place twice
This whole flux in hormones was driving her nuts with Luke, but she still didn’t know him at all. Chaos would, if he really did like her, probably become stalker-ish if she did anything with Luke. Not that she was planning to anyway…bad things happen when you rush in. And Batman…well…if she wanted to be honest, she was crushing. He wasn’t overly macho…he had that ‘bad boy’ air to him that she had a thing for…looked really good in that wicked costume of his…he was smart…he could kind of reprimand her and she didn’t automatically get angry at him…had a cute smile…and those eyes. Mmh. Icy blue and full of intensity.

After depleating all of the soap and shampoo available in the shower, (why they made such tiny bottles she couldn't fathom), Alex stepped out and began drying herself off. After she took care of herself, all she'd have to do was pull her clothes out and create her own version of a dryer with her hands. Heat them up, then heat up the air around her, and everything but her boots and jeans should dry fairly easily.

After quite a few more minutes, Alex finally emerged from the bathroom with a frown. She was wearing her teeshirt, completely dry and clean...and a towel wrapped around her waist. She managed to get the shirt and undies dry before getting frustrated and tossing the rest over the end of the bathtub.

"I, uh, tried to wash out my clothes. They're in there drying some. I'll try to finish drying them in the morning."

Alex gave an uneasy smile. "Well...I wouldn't mind. I'm just not sure how good an idea it would be with how much...erm." she paused. With all the spiking going on, she didn't want to chance it.

She shook her head and tried to give him a better smile. "Ehrm. Actually, I'm used to Gold Rules. Which means you get the bed. You got hurt the most, did most of the heavy lifting, paid for the room...I did next to nothing. You get the bed, I get the floor."

Alex didn't reply right away, but rather stared at him thoughtfully. Being polite's no reason for him to take the floor...but she didn't really want to argue with him about it. She'd already upset him once today without meaning to.
And....if he really was brought up to be a gentleman....then....she shouldn't have to worry about HIM doing anything.
...It would just depend on if SHE could deal with any more ****ing hormones.

"...Alright. I won't argue with you about it. But, I have to insist that you deserve the bed as well." she replied finally.

Alex's grin fell a bit, but she made her way towards the other end of the bed. "...so. Anything good on TV?" she asked. She had a feeling that silence was going to be nervrackingly akward. So...try to get some conversation going.
As she came to the end of the bed, she slid the towel off and tried to crawl under the covers. Her teeshirt barely covering a pair of little black undies.
