"I'll be fine.. don't worry about me," he replied to Mitsu while slowly eating his half of the sandwich. Shun still looked fairly concerned for her. There was a glassy look in her eyes and he hoped the sedatives wouldn't affect her too much. He was fairly aware of the risks involved with those sorts of things and he wanted to get up and move over towards her but the doctor would likely push him back down.
Judging their differences in size and his current physical state, it probably wouldn't take much for the dragon to restrain him or keep him in place if it came down to it.
Before too long, the half of sandwich was finished and it didn't look like he was planning on eating the other half any time soon.

It took a bit longer but the doctor finally stepped back, the glowing effect from the spell fading away. "I think that should do it. You might have some bruising and soreness but all the cuts and internal bleeding have been taken care of. Who ever caught you in the alley certainly did a number on you. I would advise you to contact the police." The dragon suggested firmly before he turned back to Mitsu.
Despite what she said she needed to be seen. "Alright, young lady, it's your turn."
Mitsu perked up a little at the words 'young lady' like she was in trouble, her arms clinging tightly to the jacket. "I-I said I was fine."
"You say you're fine, but you don't look fine. And that aggressive behavior you had earlier only makes me think you're hurting pretty bad." The dragon took a step toward the girl again to take the jacket from her arms but again a low growl emitted from Mitsu's throat, her body turning away so that the dragon couldn't take anything. "I'm not going to take your things, I promise." The doctor rumbled.

Seeing Mitsu get kind of riled up, Shun narrowed his eyes and set the sandwich down before getting up and off the table.
"What are you going to do to her?" he asked lowly. If the dragon was planning on healing her even after what he had told the guy, he couldn't let that happen. But he did feel that she needed treatment as well, so he wanted to make sure what the doctor's intentions were.
There wasn't a whole lot he could do against the bigger man, but he could at least stand in the way if need be.

The doctor looked back at Shun, those fire colored eyes taking in the youth's stance. He didn't want to be forceful with the two, they had been through enough trauma....but he would if he needed to be.
"I was going to have a look and patch her up if need be but she won't let me take the jacket." The doctor explained. "I wasn't planning on using magic because of what you had told me." He reassured encase that was what had the boy asking him that question in a low tone.
Mitsu cowered down in the chair like a cornered animal, her eyes looking a little off as she stared up at the large dragon above her. She had a death grip on her jacket and didn't seem very willing to part with it.

Looking back and forth between the two, Shun approached Mitsu and reached for the jacket. It was nice to know she was guarding his weapons so fiercely but he didn't want that to stop her from getting the treatment he felt she needed.
"Mitsu.. let me hold onto it for now, please.." he pleaded her, "He won't hurt you."
"I'll be right here.." he added softly, trying to calm her down. The poor girl looked so scared..

Mitsu's gaze turned toward Shun as he approached. While she had been reluctant of the dragon taking her things she allowed Shun to lift the bundle from her arms, her grip loosening so he could take them.
When the jacket bundle was gone it was easy to see her blood stained front. The doctor approached again and this time Mitsu only looked slightly nervous as he lifted up her shirt high enough to see the damage. It seemed the girl had a large gash across her stomach, it had been deep but it looked like it had healed a little and had been broken open. Either way this wasn't recent.
"How ...did you get this?" The dragon asked moving away so that he could gather the needed supplies to stitch her up.
Mitsu seemed rather reluctant to answer. "Accident....at school." She said simply avoiding looking at Shun. She really didn't want him to worry, it wasn't as bad as it looked...at least she didn't think.
"Some accident...." The dragon was starting to feel this situation was a little too fishy but he didn't say anymore as he came back with stuff to clean, disinfect and stitch the wound. "Be still this might sting."

Taking the bundle carefully, Shun then stepped to the side so that the dragon could work with her more easily. Even though she was avoiding looking at him, he knew the cause of the 'accident'. There really was only one answer for it. And it didn't make him any less happy to hear of it.
Though, he didn't say anything on the matter. Instead, he stood by, offering Mitsu his hand in case she wanted to grip onto something while she was being tended to. That... and a part of him just wanted to be able to hold her hand.
If she didn't want it... that was fine too, but he figured he would try nonetheless.

Mitsu looked up and away from the dragon as he worked when Shun's hand came into view. It was such a simple gesture offering to hold her hand, but something inside her saw more to it and she couldn't help let her emotions get the better of her once again.
Slowly her hand reached out to take his, the tears gathering in her eyes and spilling over silently. The wound itself really didn't bother her but she was now afraid to let go of Shun's hand after it was all over...encase he decided to disappear again.
The doctor worked quickly to clean the wound. It only needed a few stitches in places the majority of it would manage with some some steri-strips holding it together. "That should do it." He said after bandaging everything up. "That wasn't so bad was it?"
Mitsu only silently shook her head, resting her forehead against the back of Shun's hand. She didn't want to let go....couldn't let go. What if he disappeared and she really never saw him again?

With her hand in his, Shun gripped it gently while the dragon tended to her wounds. While he was comforting her, he was feeling soothed at the same time, for a similar reason. He felt foolish to have tried and hid like he did and everything felt like it was right.. at least for the moment to be around her again.
He suppose he didn't realize how much he missed her touch.
Once everything was done, he watched as she rested her forehead against his hand. Carefully setting down the jacket, he placed his now free hand on her head lightly, gently running his fingers through her hair.
"Shh... it's alright.." he said softly, picking up that she was feeling a little distressed one way or another.

Now that the doctor was done he stood back to his feet and cleaned up the supplies he had used. "You should probably stay here a while longer until I know you are both stable enough to leave. Is there anyone you need me to call to come pick you up? And do you want me to call the police so you can let them know about the person that attacked you?"
Now that Mitsu was free to move her other hand came up to cling at the bottom of Shun's shirt. His touch was calming slightly but she still refused to let go encase he decided to dart off while she was too tired to follow. She had had no luck finding him before, if he left this time would he even stick to this city? What if he vanished to the other side of the world? She really would never find him.
"I don't want....you to go," She mumbled. It was so selfish...so incredibly selfish, but it hurt too much not knowing if he was safe or not.

"No," Shun said to the doctor while not looking towards him, "I... don't want to risk them coming back for us.."
It was a common issue with the illicit activities in the area. Victims often didn't want to step forth to rat out the ones that had wronged them out of fear. The assassin himself had taken out certain individuals who decided to speak up about the family.
Shifting a little, he crouched down by Mitsu, watching her with a soft expression. He felt bad about what he had done here..
"I'm not going anywhere... it was a mistake to leave.." he uttered before tentatively resting his head against hers, "I won't leave you again.. I lo-"
He stopped his words right there, gritting his teeth and tensing having almost let it slip. No, saying it won't make things any better in any way.

With a nod the doctor left the two for the time being. He would check on them a bit later to see how they were doing.
Mitsu leaned her forehead into Shun's as he rested his against her head. She had missed her friend deeply during this time and despite the tears she felt a little bit of heaviness being lifted from her heart. Though, as he cut himself off her gaze shifted so that she could look him in the eye.
"I-I'm so sorry...I keep making this hard for you..." She could imagine what he was about to say. Even after all the crazy things that had happened he still felt that way? "I'm so sorry." Slowly she leaned forward a bit more until her forehead was resting on his shoulder instead.
"I feel...like the worst kind of friend," She admitted softly. "I cling so desperately....but I don't know how to let go." Hopefully he wouldn't come to regret ever having met her.

When she shifted, Shun looked back into her eyes. Slowly, he shook his head and moved his one hand from her head to her back as a sort of embrace.
"Don't..." he said, "I.. just can't let you go either. I've tried but that's not something I want to relive.."
A part of him felt weak to be so affected by all of this, but he really didn't know what to do. He didn't know if there was really anything that could be done either for that matter.
"I'm.. glad you stick by me... despite everything," he added.

"You're my best friend, that's what friends to right?" That's what she thought friends should do. True she had never really had friends but her brother always told her that good friends are like family, you have them for life. So you protect them, look out for them and stick by them no matter what. She had the last part down at least, she rather failed at protecting anyone. In fact, she seemed to bring a lot of problems along with her.
"I'll always stick by you no matter what," Mitsu said leaning back a bit rubbing at her teary eyes shortly before she held her hand up, her pinky extended. "Promise." It was a childish way to make a promise but Mitsu would stick to it no matter what.

Shun supposed that was what friends did. His only other friend was really Bent-Tail and that was what they did more or less. They looked out for one another when able to for sure. Glancing down at the offered pinky, the assassin stared for a moment. He had... heard about these... pinky swears and had seen them on TV and the like.
He didn't know people actually did them though, so he was a bit confused by the notion.
After a few moments though, he moved his hand and brought it up to complete the pinkie swear. It felt... kind of odd.
"I promise as well," he said softly before moving aside some of her hair and attempting to dry some of those tears, "I'm sorry for worrying you.."
