Alexis let his gaze go unfocused. He wasn't really sure how to explain what he did, but it was similar to sensing presences of others. His gaze sharpened as a faint smile crossed his face. "It's open... I don't know if that ability... it's kinda like sonar with x-ray vision of a sort... the colors shift to shades of black outlines and different shades of blue... mutants tend to be brighter than normal people," he said softly. "There is one show that has a technique... the Byakugan, that form of sight is similar to what I do, at least as it's portrayed in the show," he said with a slight shrug. "It only has a range of maybe a hundred fifty yards, and it's limited to where I actually look with my eyes," he said softly.

 Jubilee looked at him. She'd heard of the show but she had never watched it. "So wait...you're like a mutant tracker or something?" she asked as they got into the mall.

Alexis snorted. "Dunno... that tracing thing I've had as long as I can remember... it's how I used to keep my parents from damn near killing me like the night my father nearly shot me out of that tree after leaping through the window," he said dryly, having not mentioned that particular detail before. "If I wanted, I could probably track mutants, but I'm more interested in learning to control what I can do already rather than screwing others over when they have no control over how they're born or whatever," he said wryly, thoughtful.

"Good," she said. She thought about what she said. "Not him shooting at you. I mean not using the...yeah." She made a beeline to the cart when they got in there.

Alexis smiled slightly, knowing what she meant well enough. "Besides, it's more satisfying helping others with our... additional tricks when we can," he said with a slight shrug, following her. He inhaled slowly, catching a scent he hadn't smelled in a long while: frying hamburger, chili, and warm bacon.

"Order whatever you want. My treat," she said going to the vendor and ordering her usual fries. She smiled and looked toward the food court for a decent table. She couldn't believe a hot guy was actually going to be sitting with her at the mall. This was usually something she only saw with Jean or Rogue or Kitty whenever they could drag their boyfriends with. She never thought it would happen to her. What was better the guy liked chilli fries and didn't complain about the music or driving.

Alexis nodded slightly. "Same as hers plus a hot dog with the works, but hold the onion," he said quietly. He wasn't surprised to see the guy nod with a low chuckle. A couple of minutes later he had his order and turned toward Jubilee. He took a couple of steps before he paused, feeling someone watching him. He glanced back, only seeing several people walking around in different directions, a couple leaving the mall completely. He shrugged, dismissing the feeling.

Unaware of his pause, after paying for the food she went straight for one of the tables. She took the seat facing away from the doors. She may have picked up a few of Logan's paranoia traits but always facing a door wasn't one of them. She waited until he sat down before digging into her food. "I heard you talking with the others before. What did they mean by "can't get through"?" she asked trying to mimic Ororo. "And what where those things that attacked us?"

Alexis shifted. "Apparently when I ended up here, it left a dimensional rift that eventually sealed itself over to stop anything or anyone else from going through... if my guess is right, those things that attacked us might have slipped through it, though where they came from is anyone's guess," he said as he picked up a fry. He noticed a redheaded guy in a long black jacket sitting to Jubilee's right. His eyes widened slightly as he heard Axel's chuckle. He saw Jubilee tense a bit when she heard it as if startled slightly. He glanced to see a blond woman with deep green eyes, two thin ponytails hanging down in front of her ears and a thicker one hanging down from the nape of her neck in the same jacket. No way, he thought. Larxene nodded slightly, a small smile playing over her lips as if she were amused.

Jubilee looked to either side from the corner of her eyes. Her fork stopped halfway to her mouth. She would've noticed someone walk up and sit with them. "Where the heck did you two come from?" she asked. "You have a problem or something?"

Alexis sighed. Axel smirked slightly. "Nah... this world's got some nice digs, though..." he said lazily, leaning back in his chair. Larxene sighed, cupping her chin in one hand as she looked at both Jubilee and Alexis. "We haven't gotten out much lately, though it is nice to be out at least for a while; you can control whether we come out, by the way, Alexis," she said wryly, sounding embarrassed and annoyed, the former at the situation and the latter because of Axel. Alexis blinked. "I didn't know about that," he said sheepishly. He fought back a smile when Axel overbalanced and fell on his back onto the floor.

She held in a chuckled as the redhaired man fell backwards. She moved to help him up though. She then went back to eating her food. It could've been worse. 'So I don't get him to myself right now. Oh well,' she thought as she put another fork full of food into her mouth.

Alexis sighed, rolling his eyes. "I'll let you two out a little later, but now... a little peace would be good," he said softly.Axel blinked at Alexis' words. Larxene laughed softly. "All right, though I'll make certain Axel gets the point," she said, sounding amused as if she could tell that he wanted time with Jubilee alone, even if it was for a short time. She stood and slipped around the table, grabbing Axel by the back of the neck before she pulled him off the floor an instant before both faded away. Alexis sighed, fairly sure Axel wouldn't enjoy the 'lesson', but not really caring at the moment. "Jubilee... you have some cheese by the side of your mouth," he said softly. He went back to eating his food, suspecting she had thought of something from the way she suddenly blushed for a few minutes.

Jubilee wiped the cheese away from where he indicated and took another fork full. She swallowed. "So..who were they?" she asked unsure how else to phrase that question without outright asking if she had gone nuts.

Alexis shifted. "Larxene and Axel... I think they've been merged with me since I was born, though from what she said, I gathered there's two who haven't 'awakened' yet, though they all kinda reside deep in my mind.... I suspect it was Larxene that kept the Professor and Jean from reading my mind," he said softly. "Oddly... where I came from... most of this was either fantasy or video games, though I mentioned something of what I've always thought to the Professor," he said thoughtfully.
