Tomoko's ears perked, following along on Jove's tail as he tugged her along, pausing after she'd been properly herded over to their group again. Okay. Group was...mostly reassembled. However, it seemed as though the kitsune had noticed somebody, lifting one hand to wave down the boy she saw partway down the hall from them.

"Elaphe! We're over here!" she called, flinging her arm excitedly...only to realize too late that she was using...where...was....uh oh. It was almost in slow motion which the kitsune watched her weapon of choice move in a slow arc through the air....slowly...at Elaphe's head. Oh, please don't make contact, please don't make contact.......

Tomoko looked away to miss the result of her accidental assault as it seemed the horse..woman? Had some sort of a fit, stomping..her? feet and seeming quite ready to attack them before being lured away by something..or someONE else. It was...pretty horrifying! In fact, she squeezed down on Jove's hand a little bit, looking to him and making a very bothered face.

She wasn't going to be the first one to touch that key. Oh Hellz to the no.

What the Jack was going on? "Is it just me or is all of this just weird... I agree Savior." After all she'd just admitted it to being weird as well. She had no idea what the cloaked figure was talking about or too. After one student tried the key she picked it up and tried too.

Nope, didn't work for her. "Who's next?" Holly handed off the key to the next person.

This was one messed-up field-trip...

Rosc shrugged a bit and took the key from the ghoul who offered it to the next person.
He tried it and it didn't even budge. It was a pretty bent key, but maybe it didn't even belong to this door... He shrugged and handed it off to the next student.

"'Ere I'm next," West said, grabbing the key from Rosc. Any discomfort he might have felt in the presence of one of the strange reapers dissipated as the cloaked figure hobbled off. Truthfully, he hadn't actually been that uncomfortable at all. There were quite a few of them gathered here, and they had already kicked his a** once on the beach. What was one more time? Although he supposed it was her a** now. Not that it mattered. If Famine Jr. had tried something there would have been kicked asses, regardless of gender.

He rested his bat against the door and attempted to gently slide the horribly bent key into the lock, grumbling to himself when it refused to do so. The demon's patience ran out as quickly as he had harnessed it and he raised his arm, bringing the palm of his left hand against the key as hard as he could. The key didn't budge, at least not in the direction West had intended it to. Instead, it bounced back out of the lock and clattered on the floor. He picked up his bat and slammed it into the door, but his burst of violence was half-hearted at best.

"Go on then! Someon'else try."

Well that was... odd.. and unexpected. A woman, who would have thought? Shrugging it off, she watched as students continuously tried there hand at fitting the key into the keyhole---and failed. Seriously.. was it even possible to get it to work? Not like they had anything else to do, or any other choices..

"Go on then! Someon'else try."

With that said, she reached down to where the key had landed, grabbing it, and moved for the door. Not that it was much use.. Unable to get it to turn, she gave a shrug and pulled it out again, handing it to the next person. "No luck for me, your up next."

Daughter of who? What was a famine? Was it edible? Should Savior really care? Why was she tired?

. . . . actually, where was she? Oops.

"Ugh." A disgusted sound of exhaustion rumbled from the Marrowstripe as she placed a hand on top of her head, wondering just what was going on. She was getting pretty tired and would likely lay down soon for a nap if it weren't for the fact she was surrounded by strangers (one of whom kept saying her name - who was the girl with the weird ears?!) and the fact she couldn't make herself a comfy sand-bed. Being unable to shed was saddening.

How to work how a key might have fallen into the same category as "rewire a car" or "perform open heart surgery!" when it came to knowledge of howing to do it to a monster like Savior. There weren't really keys on the dorms, not that she slept in her own dorm room to know (and she'd probably break down West's door if he tried to lock her out), so Savior didn't know how to handle one. One thing she did know how to do was copy those around her with quite efficient skill so it should have been no surprise that she was able to pick the key up and stick it in the hole.

When nothing happened, not even a remote click, Savior copied one of the students she'd seen before and she tossed the key to the ground all the while making a disgusted and displeased sound. Hopefully she did that correctly, and to see that she did she looked to the nearest student for guidance. Hopefully Sin or Sarias understood what the heck Savior's stares meant since she certainly wasn't up for the task of saying anything.

She would have approached West and just climbed onto him but it looked like he was busy swinging something around and Savior wasn't really wanting to be knocked out because of blunt force trauma. Pretty impressive that she knew getting hit with someone resulted in black-outs. It was obviously a lesson well learned. . . somehow.

Whoa, whoa, what the hell was he jogging in on, here?! By the time Elaphe had managed to arrive on scene, the quivering figure had already taken to limping away, and he... Well, okay, he probably would've been straining to take a head count of the visible human populace otherwise, but it seemed a wayward box thing had decided to hurtle through the air and right into his face.

Tomoko couldn't have aimed better if she'd been trying; the first aid kit struck squarely between the Nguruvilu's eyes, spluttering out a sharp squawk of pain and immediately clutching both hands to his face, orange-eyes scrunched and stinging and oh, Jack damn it all, he could already feel the blood running out his nostrils.

"Whuhthehe!!--..." Whatever expletives pouring out of him were muffled by his palms, clearly trying SO VERY HARD not to show just how badly that had freaking HURT... but the attempt to prove this (by kicking the kit away from him) only resulted in booted it sideways, where it hit the wall with force and, in a ridiculous fluke of misfortune, bounced right back, smacking his shin with a very distinctive CRACK.

... Yeah. Uh. He swapped one nose-clasping hand for his hair at that point so he had something free to grab the offended leg with.

His life was pain. Even now-- or hell, now worse than ever.

The creature made less and less sense, the more it spoke. "Famine's daughter? I definitely don't remember that from the stories." Though it seemed that she and several other students had been right in thinking it wasn't the right answer. Not that they'd known the correct one, either. More clues would have been helpful. In any case, the creature took off, dropping the key behind it.

Several students tried, none of them succeeded. Maybe the key was too old, or not for the gym at all.

Aurian stepped up to Saviour after the female Marrowstripe failed to open the lock. She picked the key up off the ground and gave Saviour a gentle smile. "I'll have a try, too. Maybe if we try jiggling it..."

Inserted the key into the lock, Aurian jiggled it gently. Still nothing. With a sigh, Aurian removed the key and passed it along to the next student.

Tomoko paused for a moment before stepping up to take the key from the person who had tried previously, frowning intensely as she inserted it into the lock and turned it.... However, it appeared the kitsune had as little luck with it as those who had tried before her, content to pass the key along before the sputtering of swears from the back of the group reminded her...

!!?

Had she hit Elaphe with the first aid kit? Oh no! Tomoko paused for a moment, patting Jove on the shoulder before letting go of his hand and padding to the back of their little curious group to check on the student she'd accidentally nailed in the face with her weapon of choice. Too bad she wouldn't be so lucky if she was attacked.

Alas.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!!" Tomoko whimpered, attempting to see if she'd somehow managed to break the boy with her attempts to get his attention. Ouuuu, what if he hated her forever now?

;;;;; She just wouldn't be able to handle that.

It certainly wasn't easy for Bul to comprehend that which was going on. Something about the riddle and a girl... but wait a minute... the boss at the camp he fought earlier, it was a she? From the general consensus the boil managed to picture the cloaked figure again. Their smell and voice was familiar enough and he did not need to see them to know it was them by this time.

"Key... key I... I wanna.. I wanna help.." he groaned and uneasily pushed his tall awkward body up enough to crawl over to the majority of the group. "Key?" he requested from whomever had it and clutched it in a shaky fist then went to his knees and leaned against the door. Bul inserted the key but alas, it was a failure. "Ugh... f.. ******** me...." he cried and dropped the key then proceeded to slouch into his earlier heap taking deep breaths.

"Can... this field trip... can it please be over?" he asked and wrapped his arms sadly over his head.

Holly had been surprised, very surprised to see Savior actually attempt the key. Also that she tossed it to the ground when she was done. Lots of first for the Marrowstripe? Would she remember any of this later? Seeing the lost look on Savior's face Holly walked around the group still trying the door. The ghoul patted Savior on the shoulder. "Uh, nice job. Tried your best, right?" At least the other ghoul wasn't distressed about the noises she'd apparently been hearing earlier...

This field trip sucked, Junko knew this had already been her thought over and over but...she really wanted to go home. Maybe going into this school had been a bad idea. When the figure started yelling Junko squeaked and stumbled back away from it...er...her? Why would a man hate men? It could only be a woman, or a ghoul. Whichever, the both worked. Why did she hate men though? That was strange. Junko didn't have much experience with them but they didn't seem too terribly bad. Daughter of Famine? Huh...

Wait, WHAT?! She didn't want to die! Junko covered her head with her arms as if that would protect her, missing the figure shaking with fear until she heard it--she?--talking to someone they didn't hear. Huh? Junko peeked through her arms to see what was happening, watching as the figure gave them the key. What. What. What. This made no sense. Junko's arms lowered slowly and she watched the figure leave, leaving the key behind for them. She frowned and bit down on her lip, watching eiji pick up the key and try to open the door with no luck. And then Tomok--gah! Poor Elaphe! Poor guy, but it should be obvious Tomoko wasn't doing it on purpose...right? Tomoko didn't look like she could hurt a fly! She pet the ghoul's hair in a comforting manner and scritched behind her ears. "It's alright, Tomo-chan. I'm sure if--" OUCH! That had to hurt! She winced and tried covering both Jove and Tomoko's ears as Elaphe started swearing, wincing again as he kicked the kit and have it come right back at him. Ow. What terrible luck! She let Tomoko leave to check on the poor boil, petting Jove's hair now and turning back to the door. Now several students had failed to open it..and Bul looked really unwell.

"I couldn't agree with you more, Bul..it'll be alright. We'll be home soon, right?" She hoped to. She really, really hoped to be home soon. Junko picked up the key now and gave it a try, frowning and pouting as it didn't work. Sigh. She walked back to Seiji as he sat slumped against the wall and pat his hands, resting her head against his shoulder and tilting it back to give him a reassuring smile. It was okay, it just wouldn't budge..it wasn't just him.

"Has anyone tried just kicking the door down?" Junko asked anyone who could hear her, snuggling up close against Seiji and looking around at all who were gathered.

Savior flinched a bit at the sudden hand on her shoulder, a little surprised to have someone touching her, but she calmed considerably as her brain tried to place the voice and name. Eventually it all fell down to a "Holly" and Savior was mildly pleased to find that she could smell herself on this stranger. It was very, very faint, hardly at all the strength that still permated from West's pores, but it was enough to show that this girl was supposed to mean something to Savior. Supposed to anyway.

"Seep." In an exaggerated motion to show her exact feelings about the whole situation Savior stretched her arms up and released what was probably an attempt at a yawn though it came out sounding more like horrible feedback from a broken speaker. The Marrowstripe didn't wince seeing as her sounds never bothered her own ears but it was possible someone else could have had an unpleasant reaction. "Seep." As if repeating the word could help, Savior didn't know.

What she did know was that there was someone who looked like he was about to die and that rather upset her. Anything dying wasn't much of a problem since they still had blood flowing and they weren't producing that horrible smell just yet but if this boy where to die? Savior didn't think she'd like being trapped in an area with a dead body and she didn't think she'd like going back outside. There were Marrowstripes out there in that fog waiting for her, waiting for the chance to kill and eat one of the few females of their kind. Maybe it would be in Savior's best interests to eat this injured person before he had a chance to die? It would certainly seem like a mercy and it would prevent that horrible smell from happening and rendering Savior immobile.

Moving away from her small group of people and over to Bul, the monster stopped in her steps right before him and reached up for her mask. Inwardly she was weighing her options, wondering if he'd put up a fight. She also wondered if she'd be able to digest him, seeing as he wasn't a Marrowstripe and she didn't know what that would do to her stomach. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? "Youse hurt. Eat youse." It was only polite to give fair warning and Savior let it out into the air, looking over at the other monster. His response would determine her actions, or perhaps the response of anyone else. Either way something had to give.

The cloaked figure sure had a lot of.. emotion. Colette was not sympathetic or amused with its outburst when the little riddle didn't play out well -- it wasn't time for games anyway! She was even ready to fight for the key. The figure's quick change in stature was perplexing though -- who was it talking to? Whoever it was, she thanked Jack the key was ultimately left. That made much things easier. However, Colette couldn't help but dwell over the fact the island and its inhabitants were strange and unpredictable. How much longer did she have to be here?

Watching various students try the key, Colette couldn't help but become agitated. The island, the crazy cloaked individual, the gosh darn key that no one could use right -- she was tired of it all! Colette grabbed the key as soon as it was unoccupied by Junko, ready to try as hard as she could. However, the ghoul's suggestion made her purse her lips and glare. "Probably wouldn't work," she said quite flatly to Junko. Could she not see the scorch marks? The damage of something else already trying to break its way in? Normally she wouldn't be so cold to others, but it was obvious and Colette was already fed up with enough.

Sighing, Colette focus on the key and furrowed her brows. She tried turning it and jiggling it, but it made no move. The Reaper gave one last attempt with all her force before letting out an angry huff and leaving the key in the hole. This key didn't work, the other keys didn't work -- why did she believe the cloaked "daughter of famine"? This probably was just a random key to spite them.

Moving to the side for someone else to try was all she could do now. "I wouldn't be surprised if this was a fake," she mumbled.

While not exactly watching the others take their turn with the key, he listened, glancing up as most of his group gave it try with no better luck them himself. Too Junko's question he could only chuckle, a weary sort of sound that didn't carry very far. But hey, laughter was laughter, even if weak. He lifted the arm on the side she'd sat on so she could cuddle closer, draping it over her shoulders before resting his cheek on the top of her head.

His attention soon turned to Bul though as the half-beast slumped back down on his side. He looked.. terrible. This place was, quite literally, killing him. Giving J a quick squeeze he pushed himself up so he could go to his friend's side, kneeling to lay his human hand on the boil's shoulder. Someone else had apparently thought to check on him as well, or so the ghost thought, until she spoke. Eat?? "No you may certainly not eat him. What the ********?" Blame it on the nerves, the sickness caused by that gas, or just pure lack of sleep, but Seiji just did not have patience for this weird, citrus smelling runt.

Snorting dismissively, he tucked his hands beneath Bul's shoulders and lifted so he culd drape one of the boil's arms over his own shoulders. Walking him back over to Junko and reclaiming his seat. The half-beast placed very gently beside him, propped up or even leaning against him, whatever was more comfortable. "Crazy chick."
