Large Forest Village - Village Markets The woman’s smile froze for a moment at one of her own creations being labelled as ‘goofy’ but she quickly recovered. “Honey, this might not look like much right now on the hanger but I assure you, it would look gorgeous on you! You have a lovely tall figure; this would drape so beautifully when you put it on. But if you’re not looking for a dress right now that’s okay, let’s see if we can find you some of my other creations. After all, we want you to look pretty for your guy” Winking at Riven, she placed the dress down on a nearby table and turned back to them, clapping her hands in enthusiasm. “O-kay! So we’re looking for some cute bathers…ooh, a sarong, I have tons of those sweetie heart. Let me show you this one here…” She grabbed a few down from the racks and began showing them to Misty, as well as more swimming togs and hats. She was bubbly and eager to please but also a bit quick to make assumptions. Green Hibiscus SarongWhite SarongOrange SarongSkirt SarongTurtle SarongRiven was bright as a beacon and stammering something about having the wrong idea, but the shop owner wasn’t paying attention. She was too busy showing off different types of sarongs. Hoofed Tribe - Savannah Village Listening to the girls talk, Blyds pawed the ground with a hoof; a nervous gesture when he was feeling unsure about something. "I don't think that's a good idea, Desert. Maybe we should escort Nabel out of here before things become unstable" he suggested. "I wouldn't want Nabel to be in any kind of danger. Maybe you could go with her back to her tribe some of the way. But I wouldn't get too close to their border" he cautioned. Ymell scowled at Desert when she looked back at Nabel. She wished she would take the cat girl and leave. She was going to get her beloved Blyds into trouble. Not to mention that cat was probably up to no good. "You can't trust predators" she muttered under her breath, pretending to be busy tidying her stall. That's what Ceros always said. Never trust a carnivore. Someone should tell Ceros that they've brought one into the village. Everyone could be in danger An idea crept into Ymell's head. Leaning over the counter, she placed the 'Closed' sign on the front of it then called out to one of the women selling fruits in the stall next to her "Maisie, can you watch my store for a while? I'm going on my lunch break and I won't be back for about an hour!" She then grabbed her locked money box and left, humming a little tune to herself. Unbeknownst to Blyds, Desert and Nabel, she was going to tell Ceros there was an enemy in their village (even though she realised some people might have told him already, she wanted to tell him as well). Blyds watched her leave with a feeling of suspicion and walked closer to the two young women he'd accompanied into the street. "Listen you two, I think we have to leave now. Or if you want Nabel to visit your house, I would make it quick"

Village Market Misty watched the shop keeper's attitude towards her change as she put down the dresses Misty had examined and pulled out bathing suits that she had on hand. Misty did not want to buy a bathing suit right now since she had just heard Riven say it was many miles from their current location to the beach. Yet as the woman held up a sarong in front of here and started complimenting her on her tall figure she puffed out her chest proudly. She liked to think even before the experiments on her she was somehow taller than her peers at times and was glad someone still thought that way about her. But as she looked back for a moment at Riven when the lady hinted Riven was her guy she could not help but blush and say, "I-I don't think Riven sees me that way and although I have kind of "pushed" him to corners I'm really just playing around with him or trying to get answers about the world around me." She pat her thick gray flanks with her hands and adamantly say, "Despite what you see in these fat legs of mine ma'am I'm not a pony, er, centaur I wasn't before a few days ago until a laser beam went off at a terrible laboratory." She focused her eyes back on the designs though and stated as she looked at the brown one with white turtles, "I-I like turtles, if you could let me buy this one I would be very happy, and um, the tropical orange on that looks like it's some kind of two piece. I don't know how to wear these..." She sighed and looked back at Riven, but he was so flustered looking to her that he probably had no clue what to do for her in this situation. "Riven, um, just so you know. I'm only here shopping, so whatever ideas you have, please, please, please forget about my earlier attitude. I like guys, but I'm not sure what my type of guy would be now that my body's changed, so forget that I may like you if you somehow do because I'm certain I don't like you in a more than friendly way."

((Eesh, Misty's so blunt. I don't even know how to reply sometimes. cat_razz And I'm posting this now because I'm trying to keep the RP going along at a good pace. And 'cause the new Chobits one isn't getting any replies now. Lol)) Hoofed Tribe - Forest Village: Markets
Riven snapped out of his tangled thoughts when Misty started telling the shop owner they weren’t together. It’s not like she had to explain anything. But when he heard her confirm what he’d thought, he looked up at her curiously; somewhat surprised to notice she was blushing. He could understand about her trying to get answers about the world but… playing around. Why did she do that?
The Palomino shop keep was more than amused at the information she received, looking back and forth at the two with a gleam in her eyes, “Is that so?” she giggled, raising an eyebrow, “Sounds like lots of fun! I’m sure Riven doesn’t mind all that. He’s the type of person who loves to help others. Isn’t that right?” she asked teasingly.
“I…I…um…I don’t know at the moment” Riven stammered. He was starting to feel dizzy from all the confusion, one hand held to his head. Misty had a strange way with words. “I think I do but I can’t remember”.
The centaur laughed, clearly enjoying winding them up. She turned back to Misty and her eyes drifted down to where Misty was patting. “Oh come on now! Who are you calling Fat Legs? Mine are exactly the same, honey” she mock-pouted and pranced on her hooves, swatting Misty lightly on the arm.
Her nose wrinkled in distaste at the mention of the ray gun and science labs. “Ugh, I know what you mean. Best not to mention that around here; it might scare away my other customers,” she giggled. “Now, tell me which of these takes your fancy”
Taking the orders, Champagne (for that was the shop keep’s name), put aside the ones Misty picked out so she could pay for them later. “Oh, you are so cute! This turtle print will look great on you. And you’re right, this is a two-piece. Ooh, let me show you how to put it on!”
She squealed over the choices, grabbing the orange sarong set with the flower patterns and tying one around Misty’s human waist and the other around her hindquarters, arranging it in such a way that her tail could hang free from a loophole in the back. The one around her waist draped prettily over her horse back a little and slightly down the sides of her ‘shoulders’ (the top of the front legs), ending in a loose knot at the front beneath her blouse. Getting a bit carried away, she also added a fake hibiscus flower decoration to Misty’s hair.
Riven was about to say how nice the sarongs looked on her when Misty turned to him and said…well, he wasn’t exactly sure what she was trying to say. “Huh?!” he managed to say, feeling light headed. The more she spoke, the less sense she made. “I…I’m going to buy some flowers. I’ll be back in five minutes” He had to get out of here. Wobbling out of the stall, he accidentally crashed into a few hangers of clothing before he couldn’t be seen any more.
Champagne giggled merrily behind a hand and slapped her side “Oh that boy! Don’t worry about him, sugar. Come look at this black three piece I just spotted. What do you think? You know, there are plenty of places to swim around here even if you don’t visit the seaside” She was holding out the swimming clothes on a hanger against Misty’s dappled grey coat. The black did look rather pretty.

Hoofed Tribe - Savannah Village to Savannah Desert noted his discomfort and nodded. Stepping back a few paces, she transformed back into an Arabian Pegasus mare. "Nabel, get on my back. I want to give you something, but it's at my house. Blyds, you better come too." Nabel, sensing something wrong, hopped up on Desert's back, gripped her mane, while Desert started to canter towards her house. Once there, she grabbed a canteen and filled with water. "You're gonna need this, Nabel." Desert gave her the canteen, her ears almost flat on her head. Nabel took it from her. "Thanks Desert." Desert canter out of her house as soon as she nudged open the door. "We must get you to the Savannah. At least, no one would look for you there, I don't think." Desert ran full tilt towards the town gate. She didn't stop until she felt the grass beneath her hooves. Once in the open space, Desert opened her wings and flew. She spiraled in the sky and looked down to see if she could spot Blyds. "Ok Desert, you can put me down now. I'm starting to get light headed." Nabel clutched at Desert's mane. Desert spiraled down and let Nabel get off. "Thanks Desert! I hope to see you again!" The two friends shared a hug, and then Nabel bounded off towards her own "country". Desert munched on some grass, looking around for Blyds.

Hoofed Tribe - Savannah
Blyds followed the women back to Desert's house to get water for the neko girl. He was pleased they had listened to him.
He glanced behind them as he ran and saw some of Ceros' personal guards tailing them. He didn't say anything, just continued to run at the rear of the two girls, so he could bar anyone from getting to them.
He breathed a sigh of relief once they were outside, watching the graceful Pegasus soar into the air with her passenger and land some distance away to let her down safely. He on the other hand, knew he was in trouble.
Ceros' guards came pouring out the gate soon after the feline had left, and the tribe leader was with them.
His heavy footfalls caused vibrations in the earth as he stepped towards Blyds, frowning angrily. "Blyds! you call yourself a guard of this tribe? What have you done, letting a would-be spy into the village!" he waved a hand and stomped one of his feet with a snort of pure ire.
Blyds bowed his head apologetically, "I am sorry tribe leader. I was merely protecting one of our own from harm. I accompanied them through the gates..." but he was interrupted as he tried to explain.
Ceros had crossed his arms and was shaking his head with great regret. "I had thought you my most loyal guard, my dear Blyds. However, it seems your good judgement has fled from you. You have forgotten my words and become careless and trusting. Like this, you are no use to me. If you wish to make up for your mistake, bring the pegasus girl and the feline to me so that I may speak with them. Otherwise, I hereby declare you an outcast from this village. It is not something I wish but for the safety of the entire tribe, I feel that I must" he looked up and met his old friend's eyes. "You should understand where I am coming from, or has the massacre of our people by carnivores faded from your mind too?"
Blyds was squirming, his heart was pounding and his thoughts were racing as he tried to keep Ceros distracted, stalling for time. He had seen the tribe leader motion to his guards and seen the guards split away from the main group to go searching for them. He was trying to buy them both time.
"Dear Ceros, is it not how we use our judgement that decides whether it is good or bad? We shouldnot judge all things the same way! I cannot betray my friend simply for befriending another, and one who I believe is harmless" Blyds pleaded, spreading his arms out in a placating maner, "If you just let me talk to them, I can show you the truth about these two. It is not like the carnivores...I mean, the incident that happened two years ago"

Hoofed Tribe- Savannah Desert came running at the gate, tossing her head and her hind feet. She was being chased by Ceros's guards and she didn't like it, not one bit. She stopped, and whirled around, her teeth bared and forelegs snapping. Her wings billowed out as she reared, making her seem larger than her usual size. Finally, she tired, and she dropped down, her hide dripping with sweat. Her wings dragged on the ground. She didn't have the energy to lift them. Her ears were flat against her head still, and her eyes were rolling in fear. Hoofed Tribe Savannah to Border of Hoofed Tribe and Feline tribe Nabel bounded away, her colors helping her to hide. The sacks full of herbs and her book bounced against her back, but she only tightened the strap and continued to run. She knew she was getting tired, but she just had to keep going! At the edge of the border, she stopped, only to get hit by a wild-flapping tree branch to the head. "Oomph!" She sat down, rubbing her head. She shivered and continued to press on until she was in her own territory. ((OOC: Next post for Nabel is in the Feline Tribe smile ))

((Okay, I'll post in Paw Paw Valley for Nabel! Thanks cat_3nodding )) Hoofed Tribe- Savannah ((OOC: Didn’t Desert already run through the gate and spiral into the air and then set Nabel down? Oh well. I can work with this)) Another guard came crashing through the grasses behind Desert, catching up to her where she had landed. He had followed the trails trampled into the tall grasses where she plunged through them. Thankfully, it was just Blyds, running away from Ceros and the others. Apparently their talk hadn’t gone very well. “Desert! I’ll help you escape. Transform back into your human form and climb on my back. Don’t ask questions, just do it!” he panted, slightly breathless from sprinting. He had run here to help her escape, seeing that she had not flown away when she could because she was too busy evading capture by the rest of Ceros’ guard. He saw the way her wings drooped and her nostrils flared, chafing for breath. Pressing a button on an odd looking bracelet upon his upper arm, Blyds felt the sting of the chemicals enter his bloodstream and quickly shifted into his animal shape; a large and graceful antelope with a set of stunning antlers. He nosed her side, urging her to hurry before both were caught.

Hoofed Tribe- Savannah Desert looked up and gave him a small, but tired smile. "Ok." She quickly transformed and wearily climbed on to his back. She looped her arms around his neck and leaned forward, so he could run easier. She wasn't sure if Ceros's guards would be looking for her animal form, or her human form, now that she was transform. "Would they still be looking for us, Blyds?" She whispered. She marveled at the smoothness of his neck, and the fawn color. She touched his fur with the tip of her finger, marveling at how smooth and yet a bit rough it was, than her own.

Hoofed Tribe - Savannah ((OOC: Let's have them head to the Aquatic tribe or somewhere like that?))<--- This is incorrect, please ignore this comment) As soon as she was on his back and he could feel she had a grip, Blyds took off like greased lightning. He had only one destination in mind and that was as far away from any hoofed tribe territory as possible. “Yes, they’re still chasing” he panted briskly, saving every ounce of breath for running and leaping. “They will search for us for days” He sprang over a fallen tree branch that lay across their path, landing metres away. His legs were made for leaping and running, bounding and springing. He could feel her jostling about on his back but there wasn’t much they could do. “Hang on tight, okay! Don’t get hurt on my antlers” Blyds huffed again. He didn’t know where they were going; somewhere, anywhere they could be safe from Ceros’s hunting guards. Blyds knew full well that many of them could run just as fast as him. “I’m sorry Desert, we might not be able to go back for a while. I don’t know where to go, just run…”

Forest Village: Village Market Misty let Riven's words sink in as Champagne tried to get her to try on different clothes. She wanted to follow Riven and talk with him, but she knew she would need what the Centaur was offering. She supposed the woman was right about being able to swim other places than the ocean. When the woman did things like put a flower in her hair and helped her get clothes on she felt like she was being accepted for her who she was. She waned to cry, but held back her tears and followed Champagne to look at at a black skirt that was much shorter than the other sarongs she had looked at. It only went down the sides of her body annd stopped at the top of her legs. Looking at a pure white sarong and a green one with flowers on it. She eventually picked out the sarong with turtles on it, the orange one, and the black one. She even bought a few flowers for them all, which she was sure Champagne was happy about. When the was ready to go, with her clothing bag in hand, she trotted over to the flower store next door that Riven said he would be in. Misty peaked through the window and was sure she could see him waiting in line, but it was hard to tell since there were many other hoofed creatures walking around inside. Misty set her bag down and stood by the front door until Riven came out. She wanted to show him her spring and summer swim wear when he was done. Especially since she could not get over things about these new clothes like the cute turtle patterns. Humans certainly did not have these kinds of clothes, as far as she could remember. Then again, her memories as a human were not too good.

((OOC: Forget what I said in my other post - I remembered what we talked about having them do: they're gonna go help rescue Mendal and find Riven's older brother while they're at it!!))Forest Village: Village Market The stall owner thanked Misty and gave her one of her shop’s catalogues, which had a list of the different types of items she could custom make for centaurs and other four legged half-humans such as them. She had tried to persuade Misty to buy a few other things such as a nice three piece bikini or a white dress but the money Riven had given to Misty to spend had ran out by that point. Champagne’s parting words had been to say that if Misty ever wanted to buy something made from scratch she could come talk to the palomino taur any time. It seemed Champagne had wanted a new friend.
***
Riven meanwhile, had been waiting in line at the florist shop for the past while, or looking at the flowers for sale. Apparently there had been a huge discount on most of the flowers that were going out of season already and lots of people wanted to buy them. He didn’t mind, really. For one thing, he really liked flowers and for another, being around Misty had made him so confused he’d actually gotten a headache. So the little break with just his own space was nice and calming.
He had finished paying for the bunch of flowers to bring home for his mother using the money remaining in his purse. Yet, just before leaving, Riven hesitated. He made two purchases instead of one. For some reason, he couldn’t help but feel guilty about saying some of the things he did around the pretty centaur that now lived with him. She was so open about everything, even to complete strangers. Riven smiled, not realising he was as he walked out of the shop in thought, two bunches of flowers in his arms. Yes, that was one thing he could really admire about her; she was so very honest and open. She said what was on her mind and she didn’t hold back at all. He liked that.
He was just walking towards the clothing shop where he left her when Riven bumped into a dappled grey centaur that looked very much like… “Misty! I-I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there. Are you all finished shopping?” The sheep boy looked up at her with a smile, the sprays of roses and lilies he held creating a lovely scent around them, especially since they had just been slightly crushed from the impact. “Uh…umm….I hope you don’t mind. I got you a little something too. It’s not much but…do you like flowers?” he asked timidly, holding out the bunch he got for her. “Since you’re staying in that old room and it’s kind of sparse, I thought they would brighten it up a bit”

Forest Village: Village Market With some parting words from the shop keeper, Champagne, Misty left the village market's clothing store and headed over the flower shop with a number of bags in hand with clothes and catalogs stuffed inside. She had really wanted to hang out with her new centaur friend longer, yet the money Riven had given her had unfortunately run low. She had definitely seen a nice bikini that was oddly a three piece. She had wanted to try and wear it because she was unsure how it would fit on her new body, however, the pressing matter with Riven had caused her not to look at it as she wandered over to the flower shop and waited. She was just about to possibly go inside and see where he was when the satyr bumped into her and said in an exasperated manner, "Misty! I-I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there. Are you all finished shopping?" Misty nodded yes to this question as she smiled at him and asked in shy manner, "Did-did you get the flowers for me really?" She pointed at the ones in his hands which were part of a bouquet of roses and lilies before taking them into her hands. She felt a tinge of happiness surge through her body for him having bought these for her. As part of the animal experimentation. The people that had been forced into it were not allowed to normally have things like flowers. She hugged him and whispered, "You really know how to show a pony like me a good time. I've never owned flowers you know." She then backed away and quickly changed the subject saying, "My room may be sparse, but I can deal with that later. I don't want to burden you anymore, so how can I get what's called a 'job' around here?"

Hoofed Tribe - Savannah Desert held on. Once or twice she felt her grip loosening, so she found another grip and continued to hold on. For the third time, she felt her grip coming undone, so she finally grabbed his antlers. "I'm sorry Blyds. I have to hold on to your antlers." She half-smiled, and then went back into a straight face, due to the wind rushing past. ((don't know what else to write. So yeah. Blyds and Desert must stop somewhere!))

Hoofed Tribe in Large Forest Village: Village Market“Yes, I bought that bunch just for you. I mean, Mother likes them, so I thought you might too” He gave an honest smile before letting out a surprised bleat as she leaned in and hugged him without warning. He hesitated, one hand half raised to return her hug before he changed his mind and ended up awkwardly patting her arm instead. Unable to meet her gaze much longer, Riven looked away, at the bouquet several inches away from his face. A lily’s petals were tickling his inner ear and a dusting of the orange pollen sprinkled the white wool as he turned. Hmm, this was a larger bunch of flowers than he got for his Mum. He hoped Floss wouldn’t be upset about that.
“I…I didn’t really do much at all. I was already on an errand for mother and I just happened to think of you and what could make you feel more at home. But I’m glad that you like them” Riven smiled kindly at Misty, despite the slight ache behind his temples from trying to make sense of the conversations he had with this girl. He watched her back away from him, with the scent of flowers now dancing in the air around them. Riven considered her question for a second before grinning brightly at her and holding out his hand again (the one that wasn’t holding the bag of flowers for Floss). “So you’d really like to find work here. That’s good. I’m sure you’ll be able to meet some more people that way! Oh, oh, I know exactly the person we need to go talk to. Her name is Aidenna and she’s right in the middle of the markets. She gives out jobs for all skill levels. Come with me!” he seemed excited to introduce her to Aidenna. Apparently this was another person Riven looked up to in the hoofed tribe. Aidenna was respected by most people. “She should be selling her wire jewellery today. Maybe we can look at her stall too”
Leading her through the village, past stalls with all kinds of home crafted goods, he eventually came to one that sold twisted wind chimes and beaten metal ornaments with glass bead eyes, as well as rings, necklaces and other kinds of jewellery made from shiny materials. Behind it, talking to a couple who wanted to buy engagement rings, stood Aidenna. She was a horse type yet not a centaur like Misty, Mendal or Champagne. Her only distinguishing features were her soft dark equine ears and the long silky tail that sprouted somewhere slightly above her rump. Today it glittered with some of her metal crafts; tiny clips shaped like insects, leaves and flowers.@Ninja: I've moved our next post to the flying tribe thread.

Hoofed Tribe in Large Forest Village: Village Market While Riven answered Misty's question about job opportunities Misty was lost in thought over the flowers and Riven's constantly chatty persona. She let the flowers hang down at her side before hearing the name Adienna and words wire jewelry cross Riven's lips. She felt Riven's strong hand grip her empty one and blushed as she was pulled along at a dizzying pace past home made goods. Misty's mind and attention refocused though as her eyes caught sight of a woman about one hand shorter than her selling good from her stall. She could see in her arm a box filled with diamond studded rings From afar the woman did not seem very equine. She mainly had dark pointed and ears and a strange swishing horsetail that showed she was part of their clan. She wore a number of clips that informed Mist and others of her hoofed affiliation as well since it was doubtful other clans around her would wear that many flowers or insects as jewelry. "Which of these people is Adienna?" she whispered to Riven as she pondered if the woman in front of them at the jewelry store was her. Pointing at her she asked, "Is she her or is it someone else around here?"
