Riley sent a tentacle to prod Sammy right in the stomach. I don't like when they're squished. That doesn't mean I can't cause serious damage with them.
She gave Sammy a look that could almost, almost be considered puppy-dogged in nature. Almost.
I could do it. I know I could. I might miss a few times and break a window, but given enough chances.. I bet I could hit one of the wheels. Please, momma Sammy, let her try~

Giving just a bit of a jump at the prod (damn those sneaky tentacles!) she would only scowl at the attempt at a puppy-dog look. "I forbid it. No. You miss and get caught in the wheel you could have one ripped out or dragged away with one of those things!" Marching over she placed both hands on the taller ghouls shoulders.
"Riley, if you try this...." She paused for effect.
"...I will knock you the frack out before you can and carry you home." Momma Sammy said no, and bad little Riley's who don't listen would be subdued via extreme force. Though she was sure Jericho and Malodore would probably object to the whole 'knocking Riley out' part.

"Using a... non-one of us means of disabling is probably more prudent," Malodore said, with a faint twist of unease. "Just to begin with, to make sure it's possible..."
It had never seen Riley do that with her tentacles before, though. It was both disquieting and exciting at the same time, like watching a cat sneak up on something small and helpless.

Riley looked extremely disappointed. She stood there, limp in Sammy's arms, and sulked quietly.
You should have more faith in me. She eyed one of the cars as they passed. Why, I bet I could break the glass on that one, and pull out whatever's inside, before it even passed. This she mumbled, low, but her tentacles slowly lowered and fell against her sides once more. She turned to Sammy, and reached out to tap her nose. Knock me out, will you? She teased. I'd love to see you try.
Teasing aside, they still had nothing they could use to disable the moving things so they could get across. She tilted her head as she watched them pass, trying to figure out if there was a pattern to their movement. So far, it looked as though there was none. If there had been, she would have tried hopping them across.

Junko had a point there. They'd need an alternative if a reaper wasn't present. And from the looks of things, they didn't have one with them. He wasn't too keen on having Riley try to stab one with her tentacles either. While he had seen how sharp they were, it was rather risky and he didn't know what would happen to them if they took too much damage.
"Malodore. Do you have any of your scapels or anything with you? We may be able to use those," he suggested.

"I'm with..." well, okay, he hadn't gotten Malodore's name, and thus, the large serpent stumbled slightly over his words, "I'm with him," he motioned towards the plague doctor, entirely unaware of it's gender, actually, but deciding to go with the first one that came to mind, "No FEAR means no abilities, and not using our bodies leaves us with whatever is lying around which... I am not sure might be of much help. Does anyone see anything useful?"

"Ah! Si, I always carry implements. Here..." Malodore paused, a little perplexed. It stored its tools in pockets sewn into its sleeves, but right now its arms were occupied by Luce. Well...
It walked over to Riley, transferred Luce into a one-armed hold, then held out its free arm towards her, forearm tilted back slightly to allow access to the sleeve. "Riley, if you would... there are pockets sewn on the inside, and securing straps." She was really the only one it trusted to come close to touching it, quite frankly.

"And you also might get stuck in the window, or whatever is inside might fight back. Now, we would all like to make it out of here alive okay?" Grinning at the sulk Sammy offered a light pat on both shoulders. "Don't make that face at me, you know I'm doing this because I care."
Her grin only grew wider at the tap on her nose. "Oh give me some credit Riley dear, have you forgotten Christmas Town so soon? I'm fairly sure I could knock you out if I wanted too."
As Malodore walked over, Sammy could only raise an eyebrow as he offered his coats interior to the other Ghoul. Now that was interesting indeed~

"I don't think it's the human world..." He replied to Junko, as he slowly looked around at the landscape. "I thought the human world was... You know? Less abnormal?" He pointed at the moving box like structures to prove his point. "Besides, if it was the human world, wouldn't we all be stuck in our natural forms or something?" He asked. Not to mention, not only would he be stuck in his natural form, but we would be lacking the ability to speak right about now and seeing as he was neither stuck on all fours nor relieved of his ability to speak, he had his doubts about this place being the human world. Though that left of the question of... Where the hell were they!?
"Heh heh... Maybe this is some detention zone made up by Hellma or someone for going too close to that Weeping Forest, that we knew was forbidden?" He hoped it wasn't. He really hoped it wasn't.

Brilliant, Jericho, she commended at the notion. How could they have forgotten those helpful little tools Malodore always had on him? The idea may have just saved Riley's stubborn life.
Riley looked down at the offered arm, though her eyes flickered to Luce as she realized why it was being offered in the first place. She reached out and gave Luce a soft scritch under the chin, before her other hand reached into Malodore's sleeve carefully. She felt the pockets, and with a slide of her long fingers she managed to slip the scalpels out of their hold. She found nothing at odds about this, until she caught a glimpse of Sammy's expression, and her cheeks tinged just a slight touch darker. Always causing trouble, that Sammy.
Pulling away, she tugged at Malodore's sleeve to settle it back in place, and her eyes crinkled slightly when they settled on him. This will work much better than my tentacles. She admitted softly.

Kasumi ran up to the group, having been lost in her own thoughts for quite some time. She frowned, pondering what on earth to do in this situation. It helped that she was a ghost and was immune to most anything, so perhaps this was for the best? Gingerly, she walked up near Malodore to offer what she could. "Have we... made any progress?"

Following after the group, Mei folded her arms over her chest, positive something would happen--something that they would all probably be unprepared for. She didn't like surprises, and she didn't like the look of this place one bit. To be truthful, they were in deep s**t. "Well, I guess this is why Hellma told us to stay the heck away from the forest." She grumbled a little, before watching other students for a moment.
Sammy's observation on the groups size and strength was a good one, but.. They had NO idea of what lurked about in this place, if anything. "We may be pretty impressive in size, but we are all first years, not to mention.. Whatever is here could be bigger and stronger than we are."

(( Thread really did explode! XDD ))
Of course, when Aksaja attempted to fly, or transform . . . nothing worked. "Oh come ON," he muttered, obviously not in a very good mood at this point. "At least we could fly in Christmas-world . . ." He sure as hell hoped this wasn't the human world, as some had suggested. Otherwise, he never wanted to come here again if it meant most of his abilities - FEAR-based and natural - were going to be negated.
Cause that just sucked.
The lightning dragon spent a few minutes fuming to himself, and thus missing most of the discussion. Finally, though, he pulled (more like yanked) himself back together and wandered over to where the others were starting at the strange boxes on wheels. And apparently proposing to throw Malodore's scalpels at them to damage them somehow. "Better aim for the wheels if anything . . ." he commented. Those scalpels weren't going to do much against the metal after all.
Narrowing his eyes then, he examined the number of scalpels. "Unless you can . . . produce those at will or somethin, we'd better practice first and figure out who's best at throwing them. Unless you wanna lose a lot of them and not accomplish a damn thing, that is."

Barth stood, nervous at the implications of stopping extremely fast-moving objects. There was no telling where they'd end up. ...Or who they'd plow through. He stood, shakily. Normally he was not one for walking, but it was better than being crushed to death. "Why don't we just err, try going down a bit that way."
He moved a little closer to the road, indicating the direction with his thumb.

Kasumi stopped for a moment and pondered. The evil moving boxes and the gray wasteland looked awfully familiar, but she couldn't quite place why. She tilted her head, walking very close to the road and stopped just before stepping onto it. Yes, this looks very familiar, but why? Were they in the human realm? If they were, then she had a distinct advantage.
She was a ghost.
Turning back to the others, she attempted to make an announcement while raising her voice over the roar of the flying things. "Would any other ghost here be willing to cross with me to scout things out?" she asked. It made perfect sense - ghosts were immune to being crushed, so why not scout ahead and see if they could find a better way to cross from the other side?
