Cutie Mark: An eclipse.

Appearance:
Umbra takes after his father, a bit more of a robust stallion in the old classic way. The theme of the day is also blue, blue body, blue eyes, blue hair, and one white streak in his mane.


Personality:
Umbra may be a little hard to decipher because he is not always open in his ways, but usually never bothers to conceal them either. He's content with whatever any other phony thinks of him, because having attained his mark came with a settling that phonies are very odd with many masks to either make themselves look better or worse depending on the reaction they want to garner from others. Umbra also decided that it is ultimately fascinating- not silly, as often these phonies need those personas to continue on, but not something he was very interested in doing himself.

Likes:
Night time, conversing with interesting phonies, really bad takeout, music- any sort of music.

Dislikes:
Pretty much nothing, to be honest.

Occupation: None, for shame. Being a drifter is much more interesting to him, at least until he finds some phony worthy of tying him down.

Brief Bio:
Umbra was a rambunctious wee babben and was an extra odd colt. Not exactly wild and not exactly composed, he flits through moods unhindered by the need that he should be acting one way or another. Maybe it's just him, maybe it was due to being named after part of an eclipse, or maybe the name matched him perfectly well. He's predictable in that he always acts plainly, if not bluntly, never knowing until a step too late that something might be inappropriate to say. He is naturally very honest, which is not always the best thing, but has learned while growing up not to be irritated with others when they were much less honest with themselves. Or engaged in other also very silly things. Now he trots about the land, bemused at the day-to-day secretiveness and very happy that he is mad enough not to care.

Summary of Purpose in Life:
Is Umbra a little wild? Yes. Is he mad? Possibly. But he'd very sure that everyone else is just as mad in their own ways, they just refuse to accept it wholly as he does. The umbra is the darkness created in an eclipse, and Umbra is the shroud over projected normality. In a nutshell? Embracing the madness in normality, and perceiving the truth of a phony under their masks.

A solar eclipse- perhaps with the light peeking out being extra dazzling or swirly.
