The blonde frowned.
Too many resources... and this mobile thing doesn't sound too good. The oil rigs, the move and mine project, the digging in the Tundra... this'd be enough resources to fund and fuel an army. I have to tell Risha about this. They might seem to be doing this for a good cause, but this is the exact scenario that would be used in preparation for battle. The problem lies in the fact that they're hitting so many places at the exact same time. But if this main project in Barthavos is shut down or destroyed, it'd cut Yaits back but good.
Once again, he filed it for later. Now, it was on to the Industrial section.

"And you are...?"
Yellowed eyes stared out towards the man that entered with the small entourage; holding flowers even.
Of course, whether due to the state he was in, or just overall normal rude behavoir on his part-- he never shook the man's hand.
He wasn't exactly in a cheerful mood, but he wasn't being obnoxious either.

Vahn Kyonuske "And you are...?" Yellowed eyes stared out towards the man that entered with the small entourage; holding flowers even. Of course, whether due to the state he was in, or just overall normal rude behavoir on his part-- he never shook the man's hand. He wasn't exactly in a cheerful mood, but he wasn't being obnoxious either. .... "I'm Edward Yaits III," he said, "Honored to be here, I here you'l be ready for a regular room in three days, you're healing quite fast.""Praise Ymir," said the preacher, Yaits looked somewhat annoyed at the interuption. Vahn's fang wasn't to be found in the flowers, the fire sword tempted Yarneth, and he was feign to part with it too quickly. "Lucind mentioned you had a sword, the Charitable Order found some armor and a few other combat items, but no sword, which alarmed me because I thought we had recovered all the weapons. I'm dispatching search parties as we speak, but it would be usefull to have a description of the weapon for recognition purposes. It might already have been found and we don't even know it."

Even when Yaits mentioned the sword, the woman remained silent with her arms loosely crossed in front of her chest, staring down at the floor.

You smell it don't you.
"You'll forgive me if I don't keep up with current events."
For someone constantly travelling and knowing nothing to say of a 'normal life', Vahn had barely any ties to the modern world as it was. Rather, he had no time for it.
He's covered in it.
".... It's just a simple rapier. A keepsake handed to me by an old friend of mine." Images of a certain butler flashed in. "I appreciate all the help you've given... and would appreciate it more once I got my stuff back."
Yellowed eyes narrowed briefly, even as he felt a pang of pain in his right arm.
He had been thoroughly undressed, and everything he had on him taken apparently. Even the bracelet that adorned his right wrist was gone. Of course each item would remain inactive without it's owner, and the greaves themselves would scald and burn whoever tried to put them on and was unable to bear with the immense heat.
The sword would just be that, an ordinary beaten up rapier, that looked more so for decoration than actual practical use. Each item was nearly symbiotic to it's owner, having had more than ample enough time to bond through blood.
"Ungh..."
In fact, without the bracelet, Vahn was experiecing a jabbing sensation of headaches in the back of his skull.
"So then... what interest do you have with Latent. You could have just treated us there. I lost contact with many people.."

Special threads hold things together, especially when those threads are made from my body, you tear them out you die, you keep them you heal with power that is both my gift, and my curse. Did you think it was that simple, that someone so powerful as you would slip into my grasp and slip away just as fast. I'm not just some benefactor who expects nothing in return. I can hear you in there, I'll call you the second the voice, I want to know who you are, and where your intention's lie. You're damn right I am, it was one of the most exciting treasures I have ever laid my hands on. I can even weild it now if I choose, and yet, I'm choosing to give it back. Maybe because I respect you, maybe because I fear you afterall. Possibly both. Yes, I have my fears, though I'm sure they are nothing like yours. Tell me, should we be allies, or should we be enemies.Vahn .... It's just a simple rapier. A keepsake handed to me by an old friend of mine." Images of a certain butler flashed in. "I appreciate all the help you've given... and would appreciate it more once I got my stuff back." Yaits snapped his fingers, an aide entered with a fany box in which the greaves, the bracelet, and any clothing that had remained on him were found, but there was no fang. "These are the items that where on your person," Yaits said, "We did find a rapier like weapon boiling the waters on the coast of Leviathan Island. Anyone who touched it was burned."It was a bold face lie, the weapon had been found stuck to Lucind's palm, and had to be cut off, her skin had been glued to it. Any one who tried to wash the weapon had been burnt by the handle, severely burnt. Yaits himself was burnt by the weapon when he attempted to was the hilt, but once he knew the nature of the beast, he adjusted his own powers to bring forth the fire of Ymir's bowels within his arm, that had enabled him to handle the sword without further injury, and finish giving it his personal blessing. "Is that the weapon you seek," Yaits said, opening his ungloved palm to reveal a nasty second degree burn of rectangular shape, "It has quite a foul temperment for a simple rapier. If so, it will be returned once you are out of the hospital, and outside the city. Something that powerful, well, we wouldn't want to see anyone here get hurt, now would we. Although, it struck my fancy so much that I must admit I'm quite sorry to hear that it's yours."Vahn "So then... what interest do you have with Latent. You could have just treated us there. I lost contact with many people.." "Latent, you would have died if you had stayed there, believe otherwise and you are grand example of a foolish child. The people you've lost contact with, there's always the internet. You'll be out of here soon enough, I'm sure you can find them.""I admire you," Yaits said, and that was the truth. "I'm going to make you an offer, though I expect to be refused," Yaits said grimly, "Most of the really powerful fighters, they preffer to be stand alone heroes, so the odds are against me. Still, I never hesitate to ask. How would you like to be a freelance agent for the Yaits Corporation, you can come and go as please if you take on a few missions at your leisure, and pass us some information now and then. I'd like to say I'd make you an offer you can't refuse, but I've been down that road before.""If you chose to accept, we can expediate the return of your sword, as you certainly could not be considered a threat."

Helping the engines of mass production run smooth and efficiently. Especially high tech robotics for the latest industrial facilities. This was wear the company and city was edging in on Aekea's prime trade. But, overall it was only a breif overveiw, and a good deal of the industrial and industrial research empire was keenly ommited from the site. There were some rogue sites claiming that Yaits Corp was planning to break open the automotive industry with a new line of hybrid vehicles that run on high fructose corn syrup. Another site, an enemy of Yait's corp, claimed that Yait's had been contracted to develop new military hardware for the government, bombers, fighters, tanks, munitions and such. There was even a site that claimed missiles were being deployed in Barthavos. But that was all gainsay from unreliable sources.

And the only way to disprove a rumor is to find out whether it was true or not.
I might have Risha check on that phantom missile silo... as for Aekea, I'm gonna have to let Stephanie know about this new development. Maybe there's a way to stop this from happenning. If he gets his hands on Aekea's industries, it'll be tough to derail him.
With that, he moved on to Aerospace.

Yaits Aerospace: Bringing you the world of tommorow, today. It seemed factories in Yaits city were already producing aircraft, fighters and bombers that were supposed to be specially designed to run sorties over the Northernlands in the offensive against the undead. The web-site claimed only a proto-types had been placed in production, and manufacture depended on the will of the Gaian government. Sven-5 bomber- A slow speed high altitude bomber somewhat modeled after the B-2 stealth bomber, capable of flying at over 900km per hour while carrying a massive payload. The bomber could fly 1200km without refueling. Flying Serpant-03- A next generation stealth fighter capable of speeds surpasing Mach4. Incredibly fuel efficient and manueverable, this baby carried a payload of 4 air-to-air missiles and high intesity laser weapon to replace the outdated vulcan cannon. WarSattelite- A spy sattelite that could also destroy enemy sattelites using laser weapons and even missiles, what application this had against the undead would be unclear, as the undead hordes weren't known to rely on sattelite tech. Still a prototype was under pitch to the Gaian military. There were numerous ideas in development for sattelite parts and rocketry systems, most claimed for peaceful purposes, but almost all had dual use for War & Peacetime activity. Plus, breaking into the aircraft industry, Yaits Corporation was now helping to design and manufacture passenger & cargo airplanes.

Paydirt, he thought grimly.
The weaponry might have been for the military... but then again, RI had contracts for the Department of Defense as well. And as always, they had to be field tested. Who else to test them but the Special Operations Division and the Gaian Military?
Everything's coming to the same conclusion... He's gearing up for combat. I don't care how many military contracts he has, it all adds up too nicely. Fortunately for me, I'm here in the heart of it- so I might as well get down to business tomorrow.
With that, and just about every piece of suspicious leads he could get his hands on, he contacted Stephanie Markson and Risha Jameson, his other two team members...

"Are you asking me to become a dog for your company?"
Straight and to the point, Vahn stared at Yaits with a little more cautiousness now. He was bereft to be reminded of his days in the corporate circle when running his clan's dealings... but he wasn't exactly a country bumpkin.
....
He was ina dangerous position... he knew that much. Far away from anything familiar, and still recovering... not too mention it seemed like they were more glorified hostages than patients.
But of course, no nervousness betrayed Vahn's actions or behavior. He was rough with his words, and careful with his actions for now.

"No," Yaits said, "I don't expect you to be a dog. I don't need dogs, I have plenty. I need allies. Surely, if you felt yourself ill-used, that sort of relationship would benefit neither of us."So, you have nothing further to add, don't wish to reveal yourself any further. Have it your way, but we'll talk eventually, and I'll know what I want to know."In an alliance, we'd be as brothers, you'd have my support in all your dealings, and I'd have your support in all mine. Otherwise, you may go freely and do as you wish, I only ask that you refrain from becoming my enemy. I have to many as it is."Yaits laughed at this last sentence, "Jealosy I suppose."Anywhere you two go, I'll be watching. I don't lose my best finds so easily."I suppose it all depends on how much gratitude you're capable of,"the preacher suggested, "His decision's did save Vahn's life, afterall."

"Someone might interpret that as moral blackmail...Preacher", Lucind quietly commented while raising her head to look at the man. "Or that unselfishness is, against all public praises, not your maxim." She almost made it sound like a teasing joke. But only almost.
Last night she hadn't only researched on the fight at the docks but also gathered information about the Yaits Corporation and its activity throughout the land. She wondered if it was plain surrender to personal believes in creating a better place to live or, as some authorities of politics and economy suspected, the drive to reach some bigger, hidden aim which required a certain amount of power in all areas of society. It seemingly had started along the East Coast, but now this corporation also was interested in the oil resources of Guldor. How long would it last until someone high ranked proclaimed his veto or formed some kind of resistance on this continent? No profane revolution, but a combination of business tricks, economical allies and other means on the verge of being illegal.
Addressing Yaits, Lucind went on, a thin, yet not unfriendly smile on her lips and with her voice sounding otherwise neutral: "For someone who doesn't need to have more enemies, you're rather careless with plain facts and...'strategical' lies. But maybe I just don't get it what's actually going on here..."

Without even missing a beat, as soon as Lucined had said her last word, Vahn spoke up.
"Can you help me find someone?"
He seemed willfully oblivious to anything that the Siren had pointed out, only thinking of how best to use what was being offered to him to accomplish what had to be done.
It would not be the first time that Vahn would be selling his soul to the devil.
