The Black Widow
I am what makes the night,
what instills fear in the back of your mind.
I walk amongst the damned and shunned,
Hades trembles in desire at my name...
A light sigh escaped the spider's lips as she leaned her thin body against the tree and waited patently for the cat girl to return. A faint thought came across her mind as she waited however. Assassin suddenly realized that Shade may have just ditched her to be left alone in the forest, hungry and clueless of the large village. The frail girl arched her brow in concern and bit her lip as she peered around the thick trunk of the tree.
Almost as if on cue, Assassin let out a light shriek as she almost shoved her face into a male's crotch. "Ayee!" she shouted and slapped her bony hand over her mouth, falling back onto her rear end. She glanced up at the dark-haired male and noticed the cat girl in his arms. The spider's, red eyes widened and she quickly got to her feet, using the tree for support. Before she could protest, the male claimed he was taking her acquaintance and walked past her. Assassin sneered and ducked silently from under the shade of the tree and followed behind the two, from a distance.
She was called Assassin for being a well trained and high-ranked assassin she had become back when she lived in the city. Because of this attribute, the girl was able to remain completely hidden for as long as she wanted, without the use of chakra. It was her natural ability. She stalked the two ninja from within the shadows and followed them to the gates.

 Feet dragged against the forest dirt, a beckoning voice rang through hollow trees and open space. It spoke to no one, could be heard by no one, and yet still filled the ears of the half-tamed beasts of Konoha.
"Does he remember... Do they remember? I've been silent for over a year now... So little has changed, no matter how much soil I rotate..."
The vision of three statues, carved of wood and humanoid in appearance, was brought out by shifting shade and sun.
"It's not here... is it?"
No movement, no noise, not the slightest action came in response. Yet even so, the speaker tilted his head to the churned mud beneath his feet and gravely sighed.
"A waste of time... but it couldn't be helped. Thank you. As quietly and politely as possible, we'll dismiss our research. Return to The Horns and await orders... Hopefully I'll have something by then..."
With the passing of an empty breeze, the four figures of the forest disembarked. |

XXXDoing her best to keep up with Kazuki, Ayaka found herself easily short of breath and by the time the two reached the inner forests of Konoha, Ayaka was on the verge of fainting. Breathing in and out deep, long breaths, Ayaka did her best to recompose herself. Looking around, the forest was filled to the brim with numerous trees all of various types. 'So plentiful in resources...' Taking small, cautious steps forward, Ayaka began to skim briefly around the area for any trees that could be considered an ash tree. The sound of Pan pawing the ground made her turn to face her cousin and from the look of pure hard concentration on his face, he was having a difficult time telling the difference. Letting loose a soft giggle, Aya almost missed his question but managed to catch a few key words and nodding her head, began to walk deeper into the woods. Ash trees were mostly evergreen but could have been deciduous as well in terms of type and as to size, they could range form medium to large. The main problem in terms of identifying them as Ayaka recalled was due to their multiple appearances. All in all, Ash trees are known to be apart of the Oleaceae family and there leaves are commonly light-green, oval shaped, pinnate leaves. 'If I remember correctly, they also produce seeds known as keys...' Eyes up on the tree branches as well as the colour and size of their bark, Ayaka frowned as all the surrounding trees just don't seem to fit.

XXXAbout 10 minutes later, Ayaka had reached the end of the grove and still finding nothing, decided to chance going across the small stream to look on the other side. Hands raising her knee-length dress up just a bit higher in case of splashing, Aya delicately skipped across the stones and onto the other side. Turning around to face her cousin and Pan, Aya gave them both a gentle smile before waving them over. Twirling back around, it would be apparent that Aya's demeanor had suddenly took a turn for the better as she emitted vibes of happiness. Entering the grove of trees, it only took a few moments before Aya's pale olive hues landed on upon several ash trees in the distance. Jogging up to them, Aya placed one hand onto the bark as she felt the type of wood. It seemed to match the description from within her textbook and bending down, picked up one of the leaves to examine. 'Perfect.' Turning around to face Kazuki and Pan, Aya called out in a bright, cheerful voice. "Kazu-ni! Pan! I've found a bunch of Ash trees over here. Come look!" At this point in time, Ayaka felt so accomplished and happy. Its the first time she's done something completely on her own, well not really, but without the influence of her parents. It was an liberating experience to say the least and Aya can only hope for it to last.

Kazuki followed Ayaka through the forest, his hands on the back of his head. Kazu had an odd ability to walk without running into things even when he wasn't looking. Pan walked in front of him, her tail flicking back and forth as she moved about. Kazu was humming a song that didn't have a particular tune as well. He had watched Ayaka nod her head, and then saw how quickly her mind worked. When Kazu heard the sound of water he stopped and opened his eyes, just in time to catch Ayaka waving at him. Without hesitation Kazuki approached the stream. He bent down on his legs and pushed off with ease, clearing the little stream. Kazuki landed on his heels and teetered for just a moment before moving on. Pan did the same, though landed with grace and ease. Pan purposely crossed in front of Kazuki, causing him to trip up. He looked down at her, a curious expression on his face. Pan angled her head to Ayaka. Kazu took a second to pick up on her body language, but finally got the message. Ayaka was happy. He smiled at Pan and followed along once more.
Finally they came a bunch of trees which were apparently ash trees. Ayaka ran towards them with excitement and even spoke with a tone Kazu hadn't heard in awhile. "Good job Aya-chan!" Kazu said as he ran over to her and brofisted her. Now came the act of chopping the tree down. Kazu took a few steps backward and ran at the tree. He leaped into the air and stuck his leg out, a shout escaping his lips. When his foot connected with the tree, he managed to shake loose a few leaves and branches. Kazuki landed on the floor, eyebrows furrowed. His next act was to scale the tree and attempt to bend it until it snapped. Kaz grabbed a branch and hung from it with hands. He began to lift himself up and drop down rapidly in an attempt to get the tree to bend. Pan sat idly by next to Ayaka, her tail flicking about back and forth. Kazu couldn't hear the branch snap as he moved, but felt it when he fell to the ground and landed on his back. Kazu was about to attack the tree once more, when Pan put her paws on his leg and pushed her nails against him, digging into his skin. Kazu had figured out that she did this whenever she wanted his attention. His eyes watered and he looked down at her, ceasing his assault on the ash tree. Pan padded her way to a stump with an ax in it, which was located next to a cart. Kaz laughed nervously and gave an apologetic look to Ayaka. He went to the stump and grasped the handle of the ax, pulling it backward. Kazu lifted it up and stumbled back a bit before catching himself. He went over to the tree and spread his legs apart. Kazu touched the ax lightly to the tree first, and then took a mighty swing. At first, Kazu only managed to dig a bit into the tree. Despite his slow progress, Kazu wasn't the least bit dissuaded. After a while, Kaz manage to fell a few trees. His next task was taking off the branches, and then dragging them over to the cart. When he was finished Kazu sat on the floor, taking in deep breaths. He had a smile on his face though. Pan moved over to him and placed the majority of her body on his lap. Kazu took in a deep breath and took to running his hand over her body. Pan purred for a bit as she rested along with Kazu. When he managed to catch his breath, Kazu patted Pan. She grumbled and rose to her feet, letting Kazu get up. Kazu yawned and stretched his hands above his head, his stomach grumbling at that exact moment. "Man I worked up an appetite!" He said and then rubbed his hands together. Kazu grasped the handles of the cart and then tugged. At first it barely budged, and the strain showed on his face. Kaz grunted and tugged harder, finally getting the cart to roll. Pan jumped on the back of the cart and laid down on of the logs. She started dragging her claws on them, merely for entertainment. After some traveling and rest stops, Kazu located the group of workers Wazurai had spoken about. "Ohiyo!" He called out, getting the attention of the workers. "The Hokage sent us, we got some wood!" He said. A few of the workers came over with smiles, thanking both of them and taking Kazu's burden away. He turned to Ayaka, barely seeming tired at all. "Ready to head back?" He asked, adjusting the hat on his head.

XXXOne hand still fingering the bark, Aya heard Kazuki praised her in a bright, cheerful tone before extending out a brofist to her. Aya's face became puzzled and tilting her head cutely to the side, took a moment to figure out what it was he wanted. Unable to understand the urging in Kazuki's eyes, Aya turned to Pan only to find the same gaze. They were trying to tell her to respond to his action and assuming she had to clench her hand into a fist as well, Aya did just that before extending it out slowly towards Kazuki's. He would then use a tiny bit more force to smash their knuckles together before returning his attention towards the trees. Doing the same, Aya began to debate over how the two of them would actually go about taking it down. 'It is rather thick...'
Noticing Kazuki taking a few steps back, Aya did the same thinking they were going to discuss their next plan of action only to be taken aback when her cousin charged right at the tree. Moments before contact, he would leap into the air and stuck his leg out. The kick connected but barely managed to leave a single dent. The most Kazuki did to it was cause it to loose a few leaves and branches. 'Oh dear...I hope his foot is alright...' Aya wouldn't be given the chance to ask as Kazuki moved onto scaling the tree and grabbing onto a branch. '...he's not seriously gonna try to bend it till it snaps is he? That's pretty much impossible. Uprooting a large tree like that...' Her worry must have been apparent as Pan nuzzled across her side before making her way over to Kazuki.
Wincing when she noticed Pan put her paws onto Kazuki's legs with nails and all, Ayaka couldn't help but wonder if that happened to Kazuki or not on a regular basis. 'Yikes...must hurt a lot...' Following the direction of Pan's gaze, Aya spotted a stump with an ax resting in it off to the side. Simply shaking her head in response to Kazuki's apologetic smile, she observed in silence as her cousin removed the ax with relatively ease and began hacking away at the trees. This entire process took about five minutes and after cutting down the rest about half an hour had gone by. Unable to do much to aid her cousin, Aya did the only thing she could do which was use her napkin to help wipe away the sweat from Kazuki's brow. What was a bit depressing was how Pan was able to assist as well with her claws. Suddenly remembering the tools she was given from the academy, Ayaka slipped out a kunai and began to assist with the clearing of the branches from the logs.
After another good twenty minutes or so, the logs were ready and loaded onto the cart. Once more Ayaka was left to the sidelines as Kazuki began to pull the cart. At first the feat would seem impossible but after some slight assist from Pan at the back, the cart began to move and Pan took a break on top of the logs. Smiling when she noticed Pan peeling idly away at the bark, Aya simply did her best to encourage her cousin's efforts. Finally after much traveling and rest stops, the trio arrived at the work sight and presented the crew with the needed materials. Smiling in greeting, Aya hung back by Pan as large crowds still tend to make her nervous. Accepting their thanks shyly, Ayaka couldn't wait till they could leave. When Kazuki finally popped the question (lol), Aya beamed in happiness before taking off towards the tower with both Kazuki and Pan in tow.

Looking over the scroll, Kenta figured he would start with the easiest technique. It was called Sake Souken [ Sake Creation ]. Reading over the details, a grin found it's way on his face. So he could create sake without having to have sake. This could come in handy in a pinch of he really needed some but didn't have any. Giving off a small nod, Kenta pulled out a bottle of water and opened the lid up. Placing it down on the ground, he nodded. Taking in a deep breath, he gathered chakra into his hands and forced it down into the water bottle. Looking at it, it seemed like nothing had changed. Grabbing the bottle, he took a sip, and he was right. Nothing had changed. Either way he would give it a second try.

Nodding once again, Kenta took a deep breath. He would surely get it this time. Taking in another deep breath, he started to gather chakra into his hands like before. One more deep breath in, and one more deep breath out. Closing his eyes, he forced the chakra down into the bottle again. Opening them up, He looked at the water. It did look a little different this time. Grabbing onto it, he took a sip and could taste it was sake. He also felt the little amount of chakra that he used come back. "Well now that seems helpful" He smiled and looked the at the next move on the list.

Ready to move on and keep going with learning techniques from his bloodline, Kenta read over the next move. Sake Kiri no Jutsu [ Sake Mist Technique ]. "Hm. Sounds pretty interesting. Well nothing to do now but get to work." With that, he rolled the scroll up and got to work. Facing in the direction of a more open area, Kenta pulled out a flask of sake. Taking a sip from it, he swished it around in his mouth a few times. After the few times, he went and spit the sake out. However, it wouldn't form into a mist of any kind. It just spewed out of his mouth. Thinking about what he did wrong, he realized he was to excited and forgot to put chakra into it. Still Kenta.

Ready to try again, Kenta took another swig from the flask. This time, he gathered chakra in his mouth and swished the sake in his mouth a few times. Feeling that he got enough chakra in the sake, he would get ready to try again. This time when he went to spit, it would only be a little better then last time. It took more of a mist type form, but didn't hang around very long or spread out like he was looking for. The best conclusion would be that he didn't put enough chakra into it. So it was time for attempt number two.

Try number three coming up. With the results still not being that good, Kenta would go about trying to again. Having not put enough chakra into it last time, he would focus on that part. Building up more chakra in his mouth, Kenta took another swig of the flask. Swish one, swish two, swish three. Three swishes this time just for good measure. Ready to try again, he spewed the sake out. Watching the results it was better then last time but still not quite there. It could be a little better.

With the stuff needed in mind, Kenta would give it one more shot. Hopefully this would be the last one. Doing everything the same before, he focused a little more on the swishing. He figured he had the right amount of chakra, just was having trouble distrusting it evenly. Swishing it around a few times, Kenta felt ready. Giving it one more go, he released the sake from his mouth. Watching it spray into the air and form a cloud of sake, he was happy to see it pay off. With a little break he would continue in his training.

After a little break, Kenta was ready to move onto the next move on the list. It was Sake Soeki no Jutsu [ Sake Pest Technique ]. It sounded pretty interesting and reading the next technique on the list, it was even more interesting. Getting to work, he grabbed a couple of flasks of sake and set them out in front of him. Popping the tops off, he focused his chakra into his hands and got ready.

Ready, Kenta forced the chakra down into the flasks and started to pull the sake out and try to make them into mini-hims. Getting the sake out was the easy part, but he found that actually forming it and changing it was the harder part. Needless to say, the sake just kind of sat there in three giant blobs. Giving off a bit of a sigh, he placed the sake back into the flasks and got ready for a second try.

Now came time for the second try. Doing the same thing as before, Kenta focused on a little more chakra control. The sake floated up into the air, and started to take shape. This time they looked a little more human shape, but still had some issues. Plus he had to make them look like him and not just human shaped sake. Returning the sake he would try once more.

Hopefully, this would be the last time. Pulling the sake up into the air once again, Kenta was sure he would get it. Forcing the sake to change, it started to take shape. Slowly it took human shape, and then started to look like him. When it was finally done, he set them on the ground and watched as they little clones looked around. Success! However, he wouldn't get rid of them yet. The next technique required him to use them so why bother making them again right away.

The next move on the list would be Sake-splosion. This could prove kind of helpful and Kenta liked the thought of it. Grabbing a flask, he took a swig of sake before moving on. With three sake clones already made, he didn't have to waste time with that. Instead, he focused some chakra into his hair. Plucking a single hair out, he placed it on the sake clone.

Watching the hair disappear, Kenta nodded. Having the clone get a good distance away, he form a hand seal, but nothing happened. Maybe he didn't put enough chakra into it? Either way, he let the sake clone break down. Looks like it would be time to try again.

Focusing chakra to his hair again, he added a little more then last time. Plucking a hair off his head, he placed it on the sake pest. Commanding it forward, it flew along the ground gaining distance. Finally far enough away, Kenta nodded. Forming a hand sigh once again, he watched. This time the pest would explode, but it wouldn't be big enough. At least it didn't seem to be. The instructions gave a specific size and it didn't seem like that was it.

It was time to try again. He only had one more sake pest to used before he had to make more. Could he get it down this time? Focusing even more chakra to his hair, Kenta plucked out a hair. Placing it on the sake pest, he commanded it forward. Waiting for it to gain the right distance, Kenta nodded. He was sure it would word this time. Just a little longer.

Once the clone was far enough Kenta smiled. "This is it. I can feel it." With that, he lifted his hands up and formed a hand seal. Watching the sake pest close, he waited. In the blink of an eye the sake pest exploded and it seemed to be big enough. Kenta smiled big and was ready to move on.

Letting out a small breath, Kenta was ready to move onto the next technique on the list. The next move was Sake Tama no Jutsu [ Sake Bullet Technique ]. It sounded like a good technique and could add to a little bit of a surprise factor. Pulling out his flask, he took a sip of it just to take a sip of it, and then took a sip keeping the sake in his mouth. Swishing it around a few times, he was ready to move on and try this out.

Giving a small nod, Kenta went to spit out the sake. However, it came out as just that. Spitted sake. Forming more of a mist then a bullet, Kenta thought about what went wrong. Must have not used the right amount chakra. Sure he had this problem before, but this was different. He had to compact and make the sake harder. Taking another swig, he swished it around in his mouth and got ready again.

Time for the second attempt. With his chakra put into his sake, he was ready. Spitting the sake out once more, Kenta watched as it flew through the air. A few pieces of the sake were hardened but other pieces weren't. So in the end this would mean another failure. That was alright though. A few were better then nothing at all. Kenta started to get ready to try again.

Taking another s wig of the sake, Kenta started to swish the sake around in his mouth. With a few times done, he felt ready. Attempt number three. Getting ready to spit out the sake again, Kenta focused. Spitting out the sake, more of it took the form of bullets this tie around. However, there was still some that wasn't in this form. He could do better. After all there was no reason to waste sake.

Nodding to himself, Kenta felt he would have it this time. Taking another swig of the sake, he put away the empty flask. Swishing in around in his mouth a few times, he put chakra into the sake. Nodding to himself, he let out a burst of sake bullets. Watching them slam into a tree that was close to him, Kenta smiled. Looks like he finally figured it out.

After a little rest, Kenta was ready to go. There was one more technique on the list that he wanted to learn. It was called Chinsui Mosaku no Jutsu [ Drunk Groping Technique ]. He figured it would be a little hard to try out with no one here, but he would figure something out. Maybe he would get lucky and someone would come by. Either way it was time to start. Grabbing a flask of sake, Kenta took a decent size swig of it.

Getting ready he swished it around a few times. Gather his chakra in the sake, Kenta nodded. Spewing it out on the ground, nothing seemed to happen. It was suppose to spread out, but nothing happen. Man he was having a little trouble with his chakra control, but then again, he was a taijutsu user. Getting himself pumped back up, he took another swig of sake to get ready again.

Swishing around the sake in his mouth again, he made sure to focus on putting his chakra into the sake itself. When he felt like it was ready, Kenta spewed the sake out onto the ground. Watching it hit, it started to form into the pool like it was suppose to. Success! Well partly. He had to see if it worked. Seeing someone walking by through the forest, Kenta flagged them down and asked for their help. It would seem like nothing happened when the man stepped on the sake. Guess Kenta much have got something wrong again.

Either way, he wouldn't let that get him down. NO! Instead he would simply try again. Take once again another swig of sake, Kenta went about the motion of swishing the sake in his mouth and lacing it with chakra. Once again he spit it on the ground and it formed into the pool like it was suppose to. Finally, he asked the man to step on it once again. This time something would happen. Two hands came up from the sake and grabbed onto the man's ankle. Kenta was excited but he remember the scroll saying that more then that was suppose to come out. So he figured it was time to try again.

Taking hopefully one last swing, Kenta started to swish it around his mouth. Infusing his chakra with it, he went through all the same motions. Spitting it out, watching it form, blah blah blah. Finally the moment of truth came when it was time to have the man step on it. Watching as he did, six hands shot up out of the sake covering and grabbing and wrapping around the man's body. Cutting off the jutsu, Kenta thanked the man for his help. Well that was the last technique he wanted to learn, but he figured he would rest in the forest for a little bit longer.

The forest sure was a beautiful place and Kenta figured he would mediate and try to get better control over his chakra. Of course that was probably the hardest thing he had to do today. Sitting down he crossed his legs and took in a deep breath. Closing his eyes, he tried to feel and see the flow of chakra through his entire body. He took another deep breath in and let it out. As he continued to breath he could finally start to feel it.

He kept this up for a little bit longer. The deep breathing, letting it out, taking another one in again, and once again letting it out. He had to admit that he was feeling calm and collected. For the first time, he had a good idea of how the chakra flowed through his body and through the channels. He figured the first thing he would work on would be hand seals. After all hand seals were the man way to preform jutsus. Taking in another deep breath he would start to form them with his eyes still closed.

Running through the hand seals, he said them in his head. Bird, boar, dog, dragon....He kept running through them till he was done. However, he was not done with this part. No instead he would run through them a second time. Repeating the names in his head, he found himself getting faster and better at forming them. Second time was finished. Now time to do it a third time. Running through them again, he found himself better at them. He would move onto chakra control itself.

While he could feel his chakra flowing through his body, it didn't mean he knew how to control it. Taking in a deep breath, he started to gather chakra. The first place he would look at gathering it would be in his chest. Pulling in the chakra from all over his body, he could feel it collecting in his chest. Deep breath in, deep breath out. The chakra continued to build until Kenta stopped gathering it. He held it there for a few seconds and then let it break apart and return to flowing around his body.

The next place would be to his hands. Like before, he felt the chakra flowing around his body starting to move down his arms and into his hands. Continuing to pull in more, he simply kept collecting the chakra at his hands. Letting out a deep breath, Kenta stopped collecting chakra. As he sat there, he let the chakra already in his hands just hold and sit there. Then he let it go and head back around his body.

The next place Kenta would work on, was sending chakra to his feet. After left the chakra he gathered in his hands flow back around, he started on his feet. Pulling the chakra from his body and down to his legs, he could feel it collecting in his feet. After pulling what he felt to be enough in his feet, Kenta sat there and hold it. Having no trouble holding it, he let it spread back through his body.

With the chakra finally spread back out through his body, Kenta would just rest a little bit. He keep up the deep breathing. He figured he would get the feeling of the chakra flowing through his body again. As he sat there, he found that it got a little bit easier to do. He was able to feel it faster this time around. Feeling good, he went back to his training.

This time, he would focus on hand seals once again. As he started to make them, he said them in his head and with his eyes closed, felt the shape of each of them. He ran through them even faster then the last time. Feeling himself getting a little faster, he figured he would run through them once more.

Done with the hand seals, Kenta decided to work on chakra once again. He started to gather it in his chest. Once he felt he hand a good amount of chakra, he would hold. Keeping it together and in his chest was important. However, this time, rather then breaking it up, he would focus on moving the gathered chakra as a group. Keeping it all together, he started moving to across his body and down into his stomach. Keeping it in place, he would split it up into two pieces and guide them down into his feet.

Bringing the chakra back up, he formed it into a ball once again. Getting to his chest, he broke it up and guided it down through his arms and into his hands. Holding there for a second, he brought them back up. Setting the ball to rest in his chest, Kenta just sat there. Letting the ball of chakra break apart, he finally opened his eyes feeling amazing.
