First, my sister found out. She and her nosy hacker ex-boyfriend found some "reading material" on my computer . . . It was momentarily awkward, but she's totally supportive: we're best buds. Then, I chalked up the courage one night to right a note for my best friend to read (I always get the courage to do these kinds of things at night . . . like now). When she read it, she squealed (in a good way). Then I wrote a note on Facebook outing myself, but next to no one read it, so it was a total flop. Now, only my friends know, minus my guy friends. I think that soon I'm going to tack on to the end of one of my conversations with my guy friends and parents, "Oh, and I'm gay," and then walk away, but I don't think that would be effective. gonk
Really, I just want to come out to everyone so I'll have a higher probability of being approached by guys. XD

So, I first came out to my best friend(who is also bi), after he found a yaoi manga in my room. About a week later I came out to my mom on the way to school. Apparently, she always knew. She eventually told my dad and sister. My dad was in denial at first but now he's ok with it.
Although I still have a bigger secret.

Basically, I came out to my best friend, who is also bi. She's really supportive of me. I told my Mom after she found me kissing one of my girl friends. It was awkward. She still won't believe it. I don't speak with my father, so it doesn't matter for him. Not everyone knows, though.

I'm just going to roll with it. I guess I'll come out when it comes to introducing a future gf to the fams or if they directly ask me if I'm bi/lesbian. Till then I'll let them assume what they wish. Don't ask, don't tell is what I've always done.

i came out in Facebook. i was tired of hiding it so i decided to just tell everyone all at once. My sister found out first, then told my dad. They were both supportive (b/c they kinda knew all along), then everybody texted me saying they still loved me for me and didnt care if i was gay. I have wonderful friends and family

I have and have been coming out very slowly. The first person I told was my friend Nina, and she was very supportive of me. Next my friend Diego, he called me the gay emo kitty, and I kicked his a**. Between some of my other friends I posted a note on facebook so the rest of them knew, and they were supportive. But I don't really think I can come out to my family, they are the most homophobic people I know. When my Uncle came out to the family he was gay and married, the family that lived close by, beat him, the rest of us shun him and told him he couldn't wear out family name. ( so now he's not Mr. Ramos, but Mr. Hadden) I'm the only one who talks to him.

I came out as a lesbian when I was 14. I was freaking out because the first girl who I'd ever loved was mad at me. I grew up not being used to having people not like me----so I freaked out. I told my mom in hopes that she would give me advice about the situation and that didn't end well....
Though that was almost 7 years ago, I've just recently come out as a genderqueer and I don't know where to even begin to tell my family. I have a lot more to lose this time around (financial aid and my car). For now, I'll just keep it a secret and plan out what I'm gonna do for future reference.
