((Drinks Booth))

Melisande was elated. The Sigel was smiling brightly as she skimmed back to the booth, laying a friendly hand on Delia's shoulder on her way back to Lucia. She even shared the smile with Rivener as she passed, glancing sidelong through her curls. It wasn't that she'd avoided Zul that tickled her so. In truth, Pasha was feeling good enough at the moment that she almost regretted not saying hello! It was the fact that she'd gone, and conquered her fear. Little by little, her old reservations were fading...and the feeling was liberating.

She twined one arm with Lucia's, and gave a gentle squeeze. "I did it! Thank you~" The wonderful feeling in her chest reminded her strongly of one thing, and she couldn't help but look around for Zavier. She knew she wouldn't find him, it had been a long time since they'd last been able to see each other, but Melisande couldn't help but look. This was the kind of thing she'd love to share with him!

[[Oceanside (Eiry only!) Tag to Vyn]]

Eiry for one, wasn't very good at public situations. His most base instincts prompted him to slink about, which meant that whenever he approached someone for casual conversation it was like being approached in an alley by a suspicious man with a long trench coat. Approaching, Vyn was no different. After sidling across the painfully bare beach, Eiry gave a little wheel of his hand towards the dark raevan and a little lilt of his brows, giving as warm a smile as he could muster with cold face. He felt as if he were trying to get her attention from the other side of a wall, or a glass window that let no sound through. Still...Such walls and such panes of glass were no trouble to Eiry, not when he could simply float through! With mischievous urges overriding casual manners, Eiry floated through the few people gathered near Vyn to interrupt their conversation. He swept up her hands in his, coming uncomfortably close, almost near enough that their noses touched, before he backed away so he could better see her face. A large white grin spread itself on his cheeks from ear to ear and the minty Sigel beamed excitedly, "My fine Lady! How doth the sun treat my flower of the shadows? Some time has it been since our last meeting, Lady Rose, some time indeed, many waxing weeks and moons since our time at the Tempest and my heart yearns to know how you fare! How is my lady?"

Of course, to any passerby, it would seem as if he were serenading the rose raevan. Those who knew him well would know that it was simply a side effect of his flowery language, and such forward acts of kindness were nothing more than a part of his personality. If he were to see a close raevan friend like, say, his brother, then Eiry would unabashedly throw himself about his neck and hang there like a giggling fan girl, rubbing close and pining for attention. There was no distinction between the two for Eiry, but it wouldn't be immediately obvious to those seeing him gush over the fair Vyn. At the moment, he was nothing more but the eager friend, eager suitor to those who looked on in brief.

Turning about to those who spoke with Vyn, Eiry pulled on a Cheshire grin, almost as terrifying as it was gleeful. With a raised brow, he eyed the others and spouted out another stream of nearly incoherent sentences, "Courageous captain, my fair one, exchange to me the labels of these fine patriots and maskers! Who speaks with the lady that I know not? Isikoro, my bosom's master, he, he speaks to me and beguiles me into forming new bonds with new suitors to my heart's content, and prithee, I beg you, start me here, by giving me the names of these interesting and fine fellows."

[[Petting Zoo (Aphismet) [tag to Chrys, Slann(partial)] // Drinks Booth >> Oceanside (Rivener) [tag to Yuurei(partial), AkiAna (partial), Ebony (partial)]]

Aphismet grinned at Alex's exhuberant hello, secretly enjoying the wet body pressing up to his arm like that. He couldn't quite stifle his chuckling, turning his attention to Ty when Alex introduced him... The Aussie was quick to answer that they'd met before, and Aphi simply nodded along for now.

Ty walked off with a final comment that had Aphismet's own eyebrow raising in response. Lighten up, she won't break? What were they, fifteen? Grown-up people didn't need to tease and manhandle each other to get attention and flirt, in Aphi's opinion, but he shrugged. Ty did have a point, at any rate: Alex was a tough girl and she'd probably be able to dish it out as good as she got, given the chance.

"I AM having fun," the chef finally replied to his girlfriend, watching her straighten and try to look approachable for anyone who might come around. "And I'm pretty sure Isi's day is already quite ruined with all the sand and whatnot. But I'm sure he'd secretly like a snuggle-attack from his favorite woman." Aphi snickered, picturing it now. Isi would growl and flail, but there'd be that hint of a smile there.

"Did you sign up for anything yet?" he asked Alex even as the chef knelt by the kiddie pool with the foxfish, grinning as the creature eagerly tried to splash and play. It seems having people dropped into its pool had only convinced the foxfish that getting humans wet was really REALLY fun, its efforts doubling as it smacked its tail against the water. "I'm sure you're doing fine keeping an eye on the booth here, you're not "not quick enough". But you should take some breaks too, sometime!"

Ah, was that Sevilin on the other side of the octopussy pool? The fairy was talking with Zul, and Aphismet spared the pair a happy wave. He wondered where Rivener was, those two right there should have been the people Riv stuck to like glue! Odd...

Rivener noticed Lucia's approach, of course. How could he not? He may be the tiniest bit warm in the cheeks from the vodka, but he wasn't drunk enough that his eyes and ears didn't work anymore. He frowned lightly to himself but in the spirit of celebration he figured he wouldn't try to ruin anyone's day. He politely turned around to face the bar, pretending he hadn't seen her at all. Hopefully that'd be enough. Delia patted his cheek in farewell then, the Sigel giving her a soft grin, wordlessly thanking her again for having been there. She was, of course, free to go enjoy herself! Riv thought he should probably do the same pretty soon...

As much as he wanted to ignore her completely, it seems his ears kept picking up her voice. How annoying. He should have just tuned her out, but how do you do that, exactly? Hearing her mention that other people needed to get over things made his wings rustle with the self-restraint he exerted to keep them from snapping open in offended outrage. She spoke like he OWED it to her to get over this! Oh, yeah, like being told "get over it" by someone who was responsible for your mood EVER worked before on ANYONE. Rivener bared his teeth at the bar, making sure not to accidentally aim the look at anyone in particular, and the Scorpion decided that he'd best put himself out of ear's reach before he really lost his temper with the girl.

Calmly he turned and floated off, returning Pasha's wayward smile (she was feeling better, good!) in passing, heading for- ah, Zul was at the Petting Zoo , but Riv didn't think it was time to get into all that just yet. Too bad, since next to Zul was a familiar form: Sevilin! Riv hadn't seen him since the pool party! He seemed to be doing better... Riv would definitely have to look him up later. The Popsicle stand was crawling with people, and Riv decided against going there, too. Besides, he'd already signed up for things and he didn't want a popsicle, so what would he do there anyway?

After all this, Rivener's path diverted towards the warm open sands just beyond the booths. This was a good idea, actually, he realized. A good, soothing, calming nap in the sunshine would really calm him down, smooth out his ruffled temper, make everything comfortable and nice. With a smile and a satisfied sigh the Scorpion found himself a nice patch of sand, lay down on his stomach, fanned out his wings to catch the heat, and crossed both arms up under his head. "Ahhhhh." This was much more like it. He'd return to the activity later.

(( Petting Zoo ))

A dark brow lofted at Ty's remark and departure, a mostly baffled look on her face. Well. That was odd. And he'd brought Lucia to see Rivener...? She briefly looked for Zul to see if he was around and if he heard, but she didn't immediately find him, hoping that meant he was out of earshot.

The woman grinned crookedly at her boyfriend, extending a hand to smooth through his white hair as he played with the Chimera. "Good. He needs more snuggle-attacks," she said rather matter-of-fact, lifting her eyes to seek out the teen in question. He was just out of her vision with all the people milling about, but she knew she'd find him at some point. "I haven't signed up for anything, but knowing my darling ward, I'm certain my name is up there for something." Alex smiled with a rueful shake of her head, giving the chef a gentle look at his insistence that she was doing well. A little 'atta girl' never hurt anyone!

When Aphi waved, she looked up - and gave a small start. "Sevvie!" Squeezing the chef's shoulder, she picked her way between the pools to greet her favorite Frei.

The demon tilted his head slowly at the Sea Fairy's lackluster return. Was he sick? The apology only served to earn a few more heartbeats of an unblinking stare from Zul before the tri-horned male understood. He laughed, shaking his head and moving his hand from the pale shoulder to the hat, lightly tugging it in place. "We're still friends, right?" It was a rhetorical question, but he smiled assuringly all the same. "It's gone, it's over with, and you're okay."

Sevilin was pulled into a one-warmed hug, the demon's expression rather gentle. "I can't expect all my friends to get along," he said, feeling a bit wiser than he wanted to, thinking of Lucia, Rivener, the proud Varun and cold Xiu. Zul's eyes were a bit distant for a moment before he shook his head, his smile lop-sided. "How have you been?" What was done was done. He didn't hold it against Sevilin for standing up for himself or fighting back. It didn't matter who was in the wrong then - beliefs were meant to be expressed, weren't they?

The woman's arms wrapped around Zul and Sevilin then, careful not to knock off the wide-brimmed hat that the latter wore. "Sev," she purred, immensely pleased to see the blue-haired male, echoing her charge's words, "How are you? Have things been better?" Alex sincerely hoped, for We`rika's masculinity, that the watery Frei had not come here on his own again.

((Zeke - Popsicle Booth - Seashell Pairings
Anastacia - Water's Edge --> Popsicle Booth))

"That's okay Cordelia, I just didn't see you there." Zeke gave a sheepish grin but it was wiped off into a genuine one when the Basilisk hugged him. "Hello, it's good to see you again!" Before he could say more Delia had let him go and had drifted over to a male Frei that was quite unique in his own appearance. Different from the others, much like the vet's own Raevan though he was certain the horned male didn't have any past discretion bred into him. Zeke gave Iorek a wave but before he could give a verbal greeting the cellphone in his shirt's pocket beeped. Pulling it out, his timer went off and lo and behold it was time for the first game. He hastily snatched the 'Seashells' clipboards and on a separate sheet of paper made a list with two columns. Five names in each one, and two names in each row. To his dismay that particular Raevan would be paired with his Anya, but he'd keep an eye on them. Beach wasn't too far away, plus his Frei was very much against touching and he was sure Zul would be lingering around as well.

"Okay..." Now to make the announcement. There was no megaphone but most were in close proximity anyway. He just hoped he wouldn't fall and make an a** of himself. Zeke clamored up on the center of the shaky table, getting a bird's eye view of the booths near his own as well as the humans and Raevans milling about. He tucked his paper beneath his arm and put two fingers from each hands at the corners of his mouth and blew out a sharp, long whistle.

"Hey!" He gave a wide, over-his-head wave, and pulled his sunglasses off to boot, hopefully drawing all eyes to his colorful form. Best to see faces for those names and not through a green tint, eh!? "The first game is about to start! This one's the Raevan's only shell hunt!" He held out his paper with a flourish and started to list off the first names.

"Cordelia," he gestured to the Basilisk that was nearby, "is paired up with Lazarus! Iorek is paired up with Lucia! Rivener," he looked around for the Scorpion but there was quite a bit of red and black in the crowd, "you're paired up with Anastacia." He had no bitterness or whatnot in his voice but dammit he was going to be wary. He could see his charge looking over at him, slowly inching away from the small group that was near her but he couldn't rightly see her expression. He continued on.

"Melisande, you're teaming up with Varun; Vyn you're paired up with Xuelian and last but not least - Zul you're with Xiu!" With the results posted he flapped his arms up in a 'voila!' sort of way, laughing lightly at the looks he just knew he was getting. "Head out over to the beach there and let the game begin!" He started to clamber down but paused. "Oh and hi, I'm Zeke! The new guy!" Another wide wave and round of laughter from himself as he plopped down onto the sand again. Let them begin indeed.

---

She still scoured the sand as though the little creature was there, but no, it was gone. Anastacia breathed outward heavily through her nose, keeping that dejected look, but once her 'companion' of sorts floated over that neutral look was right back on her face. The question was responded with a thumb and forefinger measurement of the crab's size - including its legs. That big; no more than two inches or so and she might not have noticed it if it hadn't been moving. No matter what though, it was gone and she had wasted her time and...

Eiry cropped up at just that time; a flash of mint to otherwise sand and surf filled eyes. His appearance was quite surprising given the sorts of Raevans she had met but while that won Vyn points, when the minty Sigel opened his mouth he lost them by the buckets. What in the world was he saying?! It was just garbled jibberish and his speed at tossing sentences out was maddening. The only plus to this was that he had taken up with Vyn so maybe, just maybe, she could slip out over the sands and back to Zeke without qualm. She started that up, but he turned to her and her pinions raised again as he jibber-jabbered at her. Slender brows arched and she jerked back from him, almost as if he had the disease she unwittingly carried within. And all the while her skin still sucked up heat.

What...?

Her mind stopped there as that sharp whistle blew out over the sands - startling her more and making her crown rise just as high as they could go, trying to match those spiny wings. Her head turned; and, knowing her guardian's voice anywhere, she was for once pleased to hear it calling out and already trying to put that slipping away plan into action. That was until she heard her name.

"...you're paired up with Anastacia."

Anastacia. Her own name rung in her head. Paired up with who now?

"What? ...Zeke." She said his name loud enough for the two other Raevans to hear. Any polite regards or worries about being chased clearly gone from her mind now. Just what had her guardian done? What was he talking about? Maybe she shouldn't have selective hearing after all in regards to him, but either way she took off and away from the two that had come upon her and angled right for the booth she knew was hidden in the blur.

[[ Petting Zoo >> (Aphismet) [Somewhat-tag to Chrys ] // Oceanside >> Seashell Event (Rivener) [Tag to RAVINA] ]]

Aphismet smiled at Alex's affectionate hand through his hair, his eyes following her as she went over to Sevilin. The chef's grin then turned to the foxfish, who he kept up a splash-war with for much longer than one would expect a grown man to find fun. Zeke's voice called out over the crowd and Aphi's ears perked to hear Rivener's name... Ah, that's probably where the Scorpion had been then, instead of hanging with the two Frei currently by the kiddie pools.

"I'm gonna go back by the BBQ," Aphi told his other half, straightening to display his front now completely wet from both foxfish attacks and girlfriend-hugs. "Wave me over if you're hungry and you want something, alright Alex?" He waved and grinned lovingly, turning to head back to his unofficial station.

Rivener had gotten just enough sun that he felt refreshed and complacent with warmth when Zeke's voice whistled then called out the start of the seashell thing. Riv pushed himself up and stretched, wings and arms extending as far as they could, listening for his name... Ah, he was with Anastacia? Well, that was noooo problem at all. Riv was glad it had worked out this way instead of getting paired with some of the more, ah, awkward choices.

He made his way to the popsicle stand and picked up a pail, sending Zeke a smile and spotting Anastacia coming up to booth like a shot. Ah, his finding-partner was here already, good! Riv headed towards her, mindful not to cut her off or anything, waiting by the plastic containers they were meant to put shells in. "Hey, Anastacia!" he greeted lightly, feeling the same ease of presence around the girl as he always did around Vyn. Different aspects of himself, reflected in either girl. "You and I are gonna go find seashells. Sounds fun, hm? We might find treeaaasure! You ready?" He offered her a pail of her own, tilting his head... Did she look slightly unimpressed? Unhappy? Hm...

((Lucia=Drinking Booth -> Seashell Event (Tags to Kyou, Pasha, Iorek) ))

Lucia was surprised at Dr. Kyou’s charming reaction to her. She was more grateful than suspicious now, that he didn’t euthanize her when she was brought to the lab. He had set her bones and, though Zeke had taken care of the surface wounds, made sure she was okay from inside out. She was just glad that he was still speaking to her – even though she had been forced to do what amounted to raevan hunting. The frei smiled and nodded at the drink suggestion before she was accosted by Meli.

Once her friend had left to sign up, Lucia waited patiently and silently for her drink. Delia left, Rivener left, Pasha left. She recognized Doe from the graveyard, but didn’t want to disturb her conversation, so, once her drink was ready, she took it with a greatful, “thank you,” and moved a few feet away from the booth. She knew, from the demon scientist’s warning that the seashell event would start soon. Taking a sip from the girly cup that Kyou gave her, she cocked her head to the side. It was very sweet – not exactly what she was expecting. Taking another sip, the kitten tried to decide if she liked it or not. It was good, but maybe a bit too sweet. Lucia was never enamored by super sweet things. It wasn’t awful, but not expecting the sweetness, it caught her by surprise.

She was about to respond to Meli's exclamation of happiness, but then she heard Zeke yelling out the pairings for the seashell event. Lucia blinked a few times. She wasn’t paired with Pasha. Pouting a little bit, she sighed and made a frowny face at her friend. She was paired with someone she didn’t know. Knowing, at least that it was a raevan, Lucia looked around a little. The only ones she didn’t recognized was a doe-eyed one who looked like she would break if she picked up – anything. And a guy with big arms and crazy looking wings. He would be strong enough to carry a truckload of shells. With a name like Iorek, it must have been him. Lucia placed the cup down in front of Kyou – ”I’m going to leave this right here” she said with a smile. ”I’ll come back for it when the seashell hunt is done.”

Oh well, the Kitten thought, moving towards the popsicle booth and beach. With one last glance at Meli and a waggle of her fingers, she went over to her presumed partner with a smile on her face. Second to working with a friend, at least a stranger wouldn’t know anything about what went on with her since January – she hoped.

”Are you Iorek?” she asked looking at him with her head cocked to the side. ”I’m Lucia.” Her violet eyes watched the Gargoyle’s reaction.

((Petting Zoo))

Sevilin accepted the hug readily, but it didn't exactly register on his face. He was still chewing over Zul's words. Even if the fight hadn't been initiated by him, the sea fairy knew he could have handled Zul and Riv's intervention a bit better. He had just been so freaking angry at We`rika, and Alistair hadn't been helping either! He always whined about having so few friends, but he was the one that was alienating them away because of his attitude. Sevilin needed to do better, both We`rika and he promised to try.

Eventually his rough hands slid up Zul's warm back and squeezed him extra tight. "Yep, always friends..." Tilting his head up to smile at the baphomet, a shadow came up to cover them both, and something squished him into a sandwich. "Alex!" As much as he wanted to turn his head around to see her pretty face, his nose objected to that idea."Y-Yeah, I've been better. We`rika's..." The old frei turned briefly to make sure his mom was still at the other booth. "He's been fine too...." It was then that Sevilin got a horrible idea. "You should go scare him, I think he's still paranoid you'll punch him again...!"

(( Petting Zoo // Petting Zoo => Oceanside ))

"Okay," Alex smiled lightly at Aphi, watching him trot off with an appraising gaze. Hey, she was allowed to! He was hers, after all!

Just as quickly, the appreciative look disappeared, head snapping back to the watery Frei. The Italian scowled at Sevilin's words, not liking the way he wasn't even looking at her. Been better? Oh, oh oh, a Shaman was just begging for a bruising if that was the case! Alex caught a glimpse of the orange-clad nose as the elder Frei turned, and though she should have been subdued by the bandaid, it actually made her grin a bit. It was so...so Sevilin, it made her feel a bit better to see him acting more himself than the last time.

"That so?" she smirked some, casting her green eyes towards the drink booth. "When the next game starts, maybe I'll go pay him a little...visit." The last word dripped with venom and the promise of burns; if her eyes had been radioactive before, they were positively toxic now.

To say he was impressed by the poison that dripped from his woman's voice was a rather dire understatement. The demon looked at his black-haired Guardian with a sort of curious intrigue, a sideways smile curving up one side of his lips. A smile that rather quickly, rather abruptly faded as he heard Zeke's voice call out his name and pair him with quite possibly the last Raevan he wanted to see.

Slowly, Zul released Sevilin and floated upright with a stiff, jerky motion, turning his smile-less visage towards the man on the table, his eyes burning a blue more commonly associated with 'white hot.' It was hard for the demon to stick to his guns - that he'd wanted to have everyone think he'd forgotten the days of the fel virus - but it was trying, now. While everyone else said the fel virus made them something they weren't, Zul believed it actually brought out who they were, truly at their core. He did not forget Xiu's cold presence and flippant disregard for himself and Lazarus. The electricity of opposites that flickered between them in the following days. He refused to forget.

"I'll be back later," he said to the current company in a crisp, clipped voice, turning from the popsicle booth and floating down towards the oceanside that he'd started at. Xiu could get the bucket or not - he didn't really mind carrying them, it'd keep his hands busy, if not safely so - but he didn't want to risk running into the white Raevan before he had to. Telling himself they were in it for fun, to have a good time, Zul forced a rather fanged smile on his face in an attempt to be affable. He could do this. Unscathed or not, now, that was an entirely different question...

(( STUCK at Drinks booth - Werika, Rong Wei // Popsicle Booth - Cordelia ))

"Perhaps a banana colada for this sunny weather?" He suggested to the chinese woman as he watched Cordelia wandered off towards the popsicle booth. It was a recipe that he had learnt from Lazarus, that growing Sigel of his remembers more recipes than he does. Besides, maybe some bright and fruity drink might cheer the gloomy woman a little bit. Taking out the frozen bananas, he began to get to work creating the drink.

That was when he noticed a familiar face. "Werika!" He exclaimed in surprised at the tan-skinned man, a cheerful smile immediately lit up on his face. "It had been a while." Indeed, it felt like ages ago since the last time he saw the man. "How about a watermelon daiquiri? I'll add just a little bit of liqueur." He suggested, they prepared so much fruit juices beforehand, might as well put them to good use. Dexterously he continue to prepare the chinese lady's banana colada, pouring the mixed ingredients into a tall cup and garnishing it with a slice of banana and a green umbrella. "Here you go miss."

There was a commotion and a loud voice announcing something over at the popsicle booth. Kyou couldn't make out what it was clearly, but he had an idea of what is happening - the seashell hunt. Nodding at the kitten Frei who dropped by briefly at the counter, he gave her an okay sign as he took the half drank cup and put it behind the counter, placing a glass cover over the cup.

Perking up his ears, Lazarus heard Zeke announced the starting of the seashell hunt, to his surprise his name was announced pretty early on. So he was paired with Cordelia huh, the last time he saw her was at Ebony's house around Christmas. The meeting did ended a bit awkwardly, which is why Lazarus is feeling a little bit nervous now as he picked up a bucket, his eyes searching the crowd for the black Frei. It was a bit difficult to spot her since she is of a dark color, but his crimson eyes soon spotted her at the popsicle booth near the front. Swiftly he head on over to the basilisk Raevan.

"Hey..." He said as he waved a bit hesitantly at Cordelia, hugging the small red bucket to him with his other hand. "I guess we're paired up for the event." Momentarily he wondered how well does the dark haired Raevan converse now, the last time he saw her she only said a word.

((Delia=Popsicle Booth (Tag to Laz))

Before the stone shaded Raevan could respond, Zeke was jumping up onto the counter of the booth. Cordelia’s eyes went wide as she floated back a ways, sharp wings splayed in her surprised confusion towards the man. Seriously, what was that human thinking? Was he mad? He could get hurt! Warily, she watched Zeke as he shouted loudly to the masses of people within earshot. She could catch him if he fell, though hopefully it wouldn’t come to that. Delia was strong, but she’d never truly tested it and a full-grown human male did not look to be light in any sense of the word, at least not next to a small female Frei.

The girl tilted her dark head a bit at the sound of her name and frowned. She was paired with Lazarus? Wait, what did the veterinarian mean by that? She listened real hard now to figure out what the hell the human was talking about. It wasn’t until the end did she understand when he announced the beginning of the games and thankfully made it to the sandy floor safely. Pulling her wings back in with a slight sigh of relief, the basilisk’s grey eyes searched for that familiar tuft of red and white hair.

She didn’t have far or long to look seeing as the Sigel had spotted her first, joining her at the booth. The snake’s smile spread fast and suddenly she was flying over the counter to hug the incubus. “Lazarus!” she exclaimed with a giddy laugh as she clung to him, crushing the bucket a bit between them, but luckily not breaking it. “It’s been so long! I’ve missed you! I hope you’ve been well.”

((Drinks Booth -> Popsicle Stand))

Melisande had followed Lucia's lead, drifting closer to the Popsicle Stand as names were announced. The muse brightened as she was addressed, but her eyes widened as her partner was listed.

A slow blush rose in her pale cheeks. "I...don't know...who Varun is!" She spoke to no one in particular...who could she ask? Instead, the Sigel dropped her eyes to her drink and fiddled with the colorful little umbrella.

This was beyond embarrassing!

((Popsicle Booth-Iorek- Tag for Ebony, Yuurei, and Partial tag to Ravi and Kyou ))

Iorek drifted close to the popsicle booth, unsure exactly what he was waiting for. Yet when an eager hand jumped out of no where and attacked the paper Reks was happy he hung around. "You did?" He beamed at the new face, a pleased smile forming on his lips as he tried his best to contain his excitement. This raevan was new to him and she was pretty spunky by her appearance and attitude. Although he couldn't decipher what she was it didn't bother him too much. Whoever she was, her antics reminded him of the little bunny raevan he had met around a year or so ago at the toystore who had such a happy soul. "I think it'll be pretty fun. If not, at least we will find some cool shells to take home with us." He said with a chuckle, trying to find the good in even the worst situation.

All of a sudden, the gargoyle gave a little jump when he realized how foolish he was being. Here he was meeting someone new, of his kind, and he had yet to introduce himself! Goodness where were his manners? "I'm Iorek...or Reks if you'd like." He extended a friendly hand to Delia while pondering how she'd react to his large hand. She didn't seem young enough to not know that this was a way to welcome and introduce one another. Surely she'd catch on to this polite act, "Who might you be? If we end up together in this game I certainly need to know my partner's name."

Lifting his gaze up and away from the lass for a moment the gargoyle spied the man behind the booth give him a wave. He flushed at the gesture and raised his other hand to return it, mouthing out a silent "Hello" before he returned his attention back to the black haired girl.

Yet when the man opened his mouth and bellowed into the crowd his gaze drifted back to him once more. Was he ever going to learn who she was? Fate didn't seem like it would allow it. Patiently, although it pained him to be at a time like this, Iorek listened carefully to the instructions only to wind up blinking a few times when the man was done with surprise at who he was paired up with. Lucia? Who was that? Iorek's vibrant eyes scanned the crowd as he searched for a female raevan. Aside from the one beside him there were several floating around. How would he ever find her?

Reks gulped at the thought of drifting around asking so many different people if they were this 'Lucia' until a feline based raevan approached him from the side. Assuming the smile on her face was good natured she seemed happy enough. Maybe she was his partner? If so this smile was very welcoming. At least she was relaxed with this arrangement. But without a name the unknown lass he was originally chatting with could be his girl.

'Are you Iorek?' The purple-eyed female asked and Iorek knew immediately who she was. "Lucia?" He sounded at the exact time she gave her name. His ears rose and flicked as they said the name together. Wonderful! She had found him!

He didn't care how fast she discovered him without them ever meeting. All that mattered was they were together now. Pleased to see she was good-natured Iorek extended his other hand to her, now looking a little odd with both his hands raised to the girls. "Yes, I'm Iorek. It looks like we'll be partners for this game. Are you ready to go hunting?" He asked, his smile growing into a charming grin.

Iorek eyes caught sight of the sigel heading their way only a few moments after Lucia had joined their little gathering. Reks gulped with surprise at the sight of his older ally, not knowing who he was but realizing he deserved his respect due to his age. With a quick nod in his direction that was the only way he felt polite enough to acknowledge his presence. Iorek just grew quiet, not about to get in the older male's way as he spoke to the unknown raevan that was his partner. Who knew he would become so shy and intimidated by an elder?

[ Vyn. Oceanside -> Popsicle booth. Ethan. Popsicle booth. ]

Realising how busy Zeke was – practically bouncing between people and firing off responses Ethan just nodded politely at the reply he had been given, mouthing a thank you. He considered once more in his head. So long as the paint washed out.... He supposed it was all in the name of fun and it would probably serve as a good way to break down his image as a stiff completely businessman. Thus he swiftly wrote down his name under the paintballing section of the paper before handing it onto whoever needed it next. When that was done he shuffled backwards out of the crowd of people to give Zeke and the others more space. It turned out a boy raevan had been waiting for him to move and Ethan hadn’t heard him whilst contemplating the paintball.

I’m sorry, here, make your way through.” He uttered, moving an arm to ferry the unusual looking boy through. He was stockier than any other raevan Ethan had seen before, with jet black hair and curling ram horns similar to Lazerus only they were shorter, but they looked just as sturdy. The most interesting parts of the boy were his arms. Huge and presumably bulging with muscle they were barely human. Ethan was about to enter conversation with the frei but the sharp screech of Zeke’s whistle pieced the air.

The rolling Shakespearian tongue of the minty ghost and the refreshing air that permanently hung like a wonderful aura around him cut through the tension that had remained between Vyn and the purpled haired femme. As per usual he was bounding with energy and he grasped her hands and pulled her into a close hold. She blanched away out of initial fright, but the sight of his whimsical red eyes consuming all of her black eyed sight made his infectious happiness transfer to her, a smile and bubble of laughter emerging. “Eiry-kun! It is lovely to see you too.” As he extended his vibrant greeting to the others she straightened her hat, which the ghost had dislodged slightly, but her fond smile remained. “I am well thank you Eiry. This weather is lovely because it’s hot, but I found out the side effects in overindulging in the sun..

Before she could continue the cheerful greeting and renewing of information the sound of Zeke’s whistle cut across the various discussions happening around the party and all attention fell on him and the words he then spoke. The seashell hunt pairings were being announced and Vyn turned to listen, one hand still loosely being held by Eiry’s. She was a little surprised to hear her name – but she assumed Ethan had signed her up. She was to be paired with Xeulian... That was the pretty little girl she had met earlier, whose guardian was the rude and cold doctor. She looked around for her partner and spied her near the popsicle booth, fortunately slightly separate from her guardian.

She turned to say a polite goodbye to Eiry and the other girl but the spidery frei was already on the move. She had called out to Zeke with a sense of familiarity.... Vyn stared after her, cogs turning rapidly in her head. The purple girl was relatively newborn. She had an unsettling air. She was familiar with Zeke – familiar enough for him to be her guardian? A defined chill ran up the short length of her spine and caused her wings to flare out in both fear and worry. Was it possible that she had just been interacting with the virus raevan? She shook her head and floated slightly closer to Eiry – soaking up his positive atmosphere.

I have to go to my partner.” She said, taking a deep breath to steady her racing nerves. Her skin itched a little bit and she couldn’t help but feel sullied by her encounter. Kyou may have put a curse on the virus but she couldn’t help but be nervous. She didn’t even know for sure that she had come to the right conclusion. Her fear was making her jump to worrisome answers. “I’ll find you later Eiry-kun.” She said, before tugging her hand away with a half smile and turning towards the direction Anya had gone. Unfortunately Xuelian was near Zeke...

Ethan was pleased that Vyn was coming over and he intersected her before she reached the blue haired frei that she had been paired with. “Are you ok Vyn?” He noticed a slight frown on her expression as she moved over the sand and her rune – often the window to her feelings – was flaring angry and red.

I’m fine Ethan...” She spoke with a sigh.

Confused, yet not willing to press the matter Ethan stepped out of her way. Perhaps she had argued with another raevan? Hopefully though she would cheer up after the game. “Have fun...” Vyn nodded, forced a smile and continued on to Xeulian.

(( Oeanside : Xiu -> Zul // Oceanside: Hazeline -> Ebony, Yuurei ))

Xiu felt a little overwhelmed by the sudden increase in people surrounding the Popsicle booth and the reason to the sudden rise in number was clear a moment later. Picking up the sign-up sheets, Zeke had then read off the names written on it for the seashell picking contest; pairing him off with Zul.

That was a surprise. So Zul was here then? Flicking his wings, the white Raevan politely took the offered plastic pails (one had a funny sailor cap wearing squid and the other a polar bear in swim trunks) and backed away from the crowd before scanning the vicinity for the Baphomet Raevan. The other Raevans were already beginning to pair up and Xiu had a little voice selfishly but insistently saying that the faster they searched, the better their chances of winning. Besides, it had been a while since they last met…

Xiu cringed at the memory. If there ever was a more intent feeling of prejudice, Xiu doubted he had seen it expressed in this time and age. That…feeling of absolutely not caring for another Raevan and…the blatantly base desire to see them fight each other to the death…

But… that was…different. He…hadn’t been…himself…

He had met Lazarus after ‘that’ incident! A-And…they had been fine! In fact…they seemed to be getting along rather…splendidly…

No, he was simply thinking too much. The fel virus incident had been rather like those…tricky situations where when drunk, all manner of things were said. Undoubtedly they had some …truth behind them but it was the kind of truth that was best…ignored for the sake of everyone around. Chalk it all up to the booze, as they say…

Finally spotting his seashell hunting buddy by the Oceanside, Xiu hurriedly floated over with the two childishly designed pails in his hand. There were probably better pails about but these were the ones offered to him at that time. Nodding a greeting at Zul, Xiu held out the two pails indicating that the Baphomet Raevan could have first choice of the pails.

-----------------------

Hazeline nodded at the man Ebony introduced as Mr. Lekabel and the woman known as Yuurei. “Pleased to meet you Mr. Lakabel, Yuurei,” said Hazeline with a chuckle. “I’ve met Yuurei once, in the bowling alley. We were having a game against out raevans. How has Lucia been?”

“And I am glad to mee Dayo’s guardian,” said Hazeline with a smile and a polite nod. “My raevan, Xiu, he has met Dayo and I am certain he’d be delighted to meet her again although…,”

Hazeline blushed. “The circumstances of his meeting Dayo was a little odd. He and Dayo had planned a rather abrupt matchmaking between owners for Valentine and umm…yeah…it did not go through,” said Hazeline awkwardly as she eyed Mr. Lekabel; not realizing that that had happened when Dayo was still under the guardianship of an owner called Mouse.

The awkwardness was lessened when Mr. Lekabel had to leave suddenly, having appeared to not have heard the matchmaking part. Sometimes…Hazaeline wished she had better skills at these social talk…

The arrival of Ty was a blessing too as Hazeline quickly shook off her awkwardness. “Pleased to meet you, Ty,” said Hazeline politely.
