"A dragon threw me into a tree," she snapped, "and healing takes its price from the person being healed. I will make it back to the court. Follow."

She spurred her horse forwards, heading south.

((Cho, I'm going to keep this moving. Feel free to assume you went with them if you wish))

Bullseye didn't take too kind to the snapping but he let it slide. He stood up clawing the soil towards south as he got his balance, and then took off following her. So he was right about her being upset about Target's actions, he had a small feeling this may still not sit well later, but who knows whats to come now. His brother is with the lead Fae it was his decision to split along time ago, he just felt he needed to know more. Then there was the question she mention that there should be equal value for her name. How much of this represented the Fea's or was it just her personality. Non The less she didn't laugh at his name, So he continued following not too close to startle her steed just close enough to keep up.

Ruscar hissed in frustration, seeing that Astalder and Blade and cut him off. The reborn stood at its full height, which was still quite a bit smaller than Astalder, in hopes of being able to get a clear view of the Prince. He could not. That meant he had to deal with the pair.

“We will be dealing with something much worse than a war if that Prince is killed,” growled Ruscar impatiently, “And they are fae. I highly doubt they will just bring a traitor home unharmed...or even alive"

He darted forward again, hoping dearly that the pair would not attack him. As he ran he started to ready his magic in the hopes of being able to hit Leverne with something.

Something worse than war? It was a little hard for the two to think of what that might be, given how little they knew of the Fae in general. In any case it seemed that this situation they had gotten themselves into was far more complex than it initially seemed... not that it had ever appeared to be all that simple.

Shaking his head at the human, Astalder remained where he was as the Reborn looked as if he were preparing a spell of sorts.

"Exactly what do you mean by something much worse than war?" he asked the Reborn. The black dragon knew well enough that time was of importance here, but having an answer to this now rather than after the traitor possibly being killed would probably be good to have. Not to mention that it could hold off any sort of attack onto Leverne for the time being.

Ruscar stopped running once he had a clear view of Leverne. He did not take his gaze off of the fae, but did not use the magic quite yet. He was ready, but he feared Astalder might distract him. He shifted, before growling impatiently at the dragon.

"I cannot remember the details, it's all fuzzy. All I know is that killing the Prince indirectly leads to the death of many other things," he paused in thought, racking his brain, "Plants? Food Source?"

He shook his head and dropped all attention from Astalder and Blade. He was totally open to attack, but that was the least of the reborn's concerns. He focused on a medium-sized boulder and sent it flying at Leverne.

As vague as it was, it certainly didn't sound all too pleasant. Either way it seemed there would be death in large scale though the cause may be different.

suggested Blade as he glanced down at the silver chain. They didn't know enough of what was driving both sides to really be able to say who was right... if there even was a 'right' side. Most likely there wasn't.

Astalder didn't like it, but Leverne did tell them to not interfere should things go awry. Neither quite liked the idea of leaving the Fae behind though, even if they didn't really have any ties to him. Quickly, he darted forth to try and more or less shove or ram Ruscar aside in hopes of throwing his aim off, then continued on towards the fighting pair. Should anything happen between the two on the ground, they likely wouldn't reach them in time.

((Using shop keeper's privilege here to decide what happens to Ruscar. And this was decided on a coin toss.))

Astalder's shift in flight came seconds too late. The spell held and once the rock was thrown there was no taking it back. It slammed into Leverne from the side and Leverne's thrust with the sword for Kocerou's stomach was never completed.

The Prince's spell was, however. Arrows of light lanced out from his outstretched hand and as Leverne fell, knocked aside by the impact of the boulder, they streaked forwards, striking him in the chest and shoulder. The rest missed, slamming into the trees and anything else behind the fae, tearing deep gouges into the tree trunks.

Leverne didn't move from where he fell. He stared at the sky and his breath came in sharp gasps, a thin streamer of blood at his lips. The armor was ripped apart where Kocerou's spell had hit and blood was starting to soak through the surcoat.

((Had no one interfered, Leverne would have won.))

Streaks of light literally tore out from the Prince as the two dove down towards them. In the next moment, they saw Leverne on the ground nearby, bloodied. This fight was over.

Leaving Kocerou alone, Astalder landed near the fallen Champion and Blade promptly hopped off of the dragon's backside. If he could stop the bleeding... depending on where the Fae was struck exactly, they might be able to bring him back with them alive when they go deliver the chain.

But first, they needed to get the breastplate off. Quickly, and carefully, he tried to unequip it from Leverne. In the meantime, Astalder watched the Prince carefully in case he decided to try and attack them.

Hearing the tearing and cracking of trees along with something that was heavy landed he he only quicken his pace to get closer to the scene where he kept an eye out for what what might be headed this direction or not, he was sure how far the lead Fea was at this point but, fresh blood could be smelt and it wasn't the princes this time. Someone else has crossed the Prince's path, was it the Herald? what kind of Herald starts a fight? Target's speed picks up. "I swear...." He cut himself off as A growl crossed his lips as he then saw where Leverne was along with Blade and Astalder land, who could miss that harness against those dark scales. and then looked around for the Prince. "PRINCE YOU MUST LEAVE NOW!" Was all he got before briefly seeing him and running to his side.

"Yes," Kocerou said softly, seemingly emotionless. His expression betrayed nothing, even as he looked to where Leverne lay and then flicked his gaze over to Target. "We must continue on. I've had enough delays."

He walked over to where Leverne's sword lay dropped. It was simple in design with the only ornamentation a silver rose on the crossguard. He reverently picked it up and holding it in both hands, crossed over to stand before Blade.

"I need the scabbard," he said, "If you would bring it to me? Then we will leave you."

At the sight of Kocerou taking his sword, a flash of pain crossed over Leverne's face and he turned his head aside and closed his eyes.

Ruscar cautiously moved through the trees to appear near Kocerou and Leverne. He stayed quiet for the moment, as he snatched up his now dirty skirt. He examined it while Kocerou demanded the scabbard. Sloppily, he looped it around his waist to make himself decent.

A small grin crawled its way onto the Reborn's face before he spoke.

"You're welcome, Princeling," he purred. He leaned somewhat casually on a tree, but kept his guard up in case anyone else appeared to attack.

Astalder turned as another dragon came into view. He kept his guard up, uncertain if he would have to try and defend both himself and his bond here.

With a grimace as Leverne closed his eyes, Blade tried to check for a pulse. It seemed that the fae had just died right here, but he wanted to be certain before jumping to conclusions. Glancing up at the Prince as he approached with the knight's sword. He had to wonder if there was some sort of significance to the weapon, but now wasn't really the time to question it. Spotting the scabbard around the fallen fae's waist, he grabbed a hold of it and stood up to hand it to Kocerou.

"I suppose you surviving here means people will start taking up arms real soon."

Leverne's pulse fluttered under Blade's thumb. The fae stirred at the touch but did not open his eyes. It seemed like any will to fight had faded away the moment Kocerou had taken his sword.

Kocerou smiled thinly and gave Ruscar a slight nod, the only acknowledgment at the time of what the reborn had done for him.

"Thank you," he said, taking the scabbard and fastening it to his belt, "And yes, I suppose it will. But my duty is to protect the forest of the fae and if His Majesty will not relinquish the throne, than I shall take it by force. I will be King. Nothing will stop me."

He spun on his heel at that and stalked to the middle of the clearing. He stood there with the sword in both hands, point against the earth.

"Ruscar," he said, "Target. The rest of you. I hold Thorn - the sword of the Court of the Silver Rose - that only the King's champion may wield. To this blade all fae swear their oath of fealty. I ask you now to swear upon it fealty to me and be the first of my court."

Kneeling back down once Kocerou had taken the scabbard, Blade continued to work on removing the breastplate from Leverne. He was still alive, if barely, so he may as well try and do what he could to help him. As he did so, he listened to what the Prince had to say. So this had something to do with the forest?

noted Astalder before staring at the Fae Prince as he asked them all to swear an oath to him. Was this really happening? He didn't know a lot about Fae, but he was pretty certain they didn't let outsiders into their court.

<...Again.. this is why I said we shouldn't have got involved...>

Quite frankly, Blade didn't want to swear any oaths. It seemed too.. restrictive. Besides, as a thief, he didn't really belong in any court... unless he was there to take something. They've already gotten themselves deep enough into this and he didn't want to get tied down into the situation.

"This is going to hurt..." he muttered to Leverne once he managed to get the breastplate off. Closing his eyes momentarily, the air around his right hand began to heat up before bits of flame appeared. He then went to try and cauterize his wounds to hopefully stop the bleeding.

Astalder wasn't too certain, really. Something told him that trying to get away wouldn't do that a great deal. If they were to deliver the silver chain now, most likely the pair will be put on the spot again one way or another.

"What exactly are the stakes here?" he asked Kocerou, "My bound and I don't know a great deal of the situation so we'd like to know what we're getting ourselves into should we decide to side with you."
