"Ravinwing... a strong warrior name, if not mysterious."[She looked down at the large fish before her, contemplating what the Ravinwing had said. She did not earn it herself, but she did not want his effort to have been in vain. her ears flicked when he told her of his vows to protect the she cats of seaclan. She looked up from the fish into his green eyes and gave him a sly smile.] "Very brave words i hear from you. Most cats in the arena spoke like you, but none of them were sincere. Your words sound more true, being a real warrior. Just to let you know you do not need to worry about me, i can do more then just defend myself. Hopefully that will lighten your protective duties." [Her sly smile quickly changed to a surprised look when he began to pace and his tail brushed the bottom of her chin. She could feel her pelt get warm with his complement. She couldnt help but shyly look down at her white paws. Never before had she received such kind words. She didnt know how to react.]

[He was about to comment more about his valiant roles in the clan when he noticed the numerous scars along Dragonfire's pelt. He instantly narrowed his eyes, before shifting a concerned gaze towards her.]
"I see you've led an adventurous life, ma'am...it pains my heart to see such suffering brought to a lady."

[Dragonfire could feel herself burn at the feel of his touch. she didnt know what to say. her attitude change though when he mentioned her scars. she gave him a sly smile.] "do not worry about those. each and everyone is a physical reminder of how i would protect and fight for my mother in the ring so she would have to. [she said, rubbing the scratch on her muzzle.] i always fought for her life. when i would bring every opponent to the ground it was one less enemy the war gods would pit against her. all except..." [her smile turned into a scowl when she looked at the long scar all the way down her left side. the one opponent she ever ran from. the one opponent she couldn't protect her dear mother from. the thought of her cowardes, the fact that she ran, made her snarl as she clawed the ground with building anger. Maybe, just maybe, if she had continued to fight to the death, she could have taken her mother's place...] "i will never run... not again."

[He added silently to himself, though of course he didn't say it out loud. Feeling a little braver in front of the fiery she-cat, Ravenwing stepped up to her and gave her a swift lick between her ears.]
"Seaclan is now your home...and the only thing to defend would be Seaclan's pride as a whole."

[Dragonfire snapped out of her dazed thoughts of the past to be greeted by a friendly lick on the head. Instinctively she flinched back claws extended as she let out a surprised gasp! Her bright amber eyes wide as they watched Ravinwing. She narrowed her eyes, slightly embarrassed by how suddenly she had lept away from something so harmless.] ".... yes, the clan's pride is something worth defending. i have only been here for less then a few moons yet i already have great respect for the clan and our leader. She will defend the clan with everything she has left."

[Dragonfire immediately picked up on Ravinwing's embarrassment and padded over to him.] darn it! i must have embarrassed him with how strongly i reacted. darn it dragonfire its not like he was going to claw your face of or anything! get a grip! "No, it wasn't you Ravinwing, honest! its just that i am naturally jumpy. i needed to to survive. it will take a while for me to settle into this more comfy and peaceful life style. living with the war gods, um what, wuffy told me you cats call them 2 legs? well its not easy or cushy. i didnt mean to embarrass you." [She said comfortingly, hoping to fix her mistake. she looked over at the giant fish he had caught earlier and smiled.] "we have yet to try the fish you caught. We could show it to the clan!"

[Dragonfire smiled slyly (the only way she knows how XD) an picked up the trout. she could taste it in her jaws and just like the salmon it was the most wonderful thing she had ever tasted in her entire life!] "ei wub fwush!" [she managed to mew excitedly even thought her face was stuffed with trout. With a smile on her face and in good spirits she padded after Ravinwing back to camp. She watched as he carried the heavy as lead monster of a fish and smiled to herself, hiding her impressed look.] wow, not may cats can carry such a heavy catch!
