The large stallion made his way towards the beach, he had travelled here regulary lately, more for the osprey that flew with him then himself though the hope of catching sight of his lovely Dory kept him going willingly.

The stallion and osprey were a strange couple, Swafi use to be the out going one but now he has no secrets so keeps himself to himself a little more.

Today however he had decided to get his own back, as Korho fished and got a little closer to the water as she dived, Swafi rushed in after her, splassing sending water and fish everywhere, Korho wouldn't be eating much today that was for sure, she had a cheeky stallion to deal with.

Dory clipped along the sand, the sea breeze catching her mane and short tail as she walked. The water rolled in, washing the beach and rolled out again in a calming rhythm. She needed that, to see the vast water again after her months of wandering. Her coat looked dull, dusty, and she walked with heavy steps.
She had gone to find her companion, the faithful little vixen Squishy who had gone away for her own private reasons. Dory had gotten terribly lost and only through sheer luck had found her way back home. And once back, she thought of the stallion who she had let into her heart...he surely had forgotten of her by now and was with another less scatter brained mare.
When she saw him in the water she stopped, watching only, afraid to approach him for fear of what he might have to tell her...

Hok'ee inhaled the salty aroma, bringing back so many memories... So many memories that he had burried away, and truely hoped they would stay burried. But, on this occasion, he couldn't help but to wander onto the land he had grown up on, the land he had been abandoned on. He once again brushed those memories away once seeing two Soquili, curious as to what they were doing. The mare was just standing there, staring at the stallion. The stallion didn't even seem to notice. Shrugging it off, he watched the two closely, observing.

Remove
Korho was the first to notice anything and anyone, so it didn't take her long to notice that the one they had been looking for was very near. She got hold of some of the Stallions mane in her talons and pulled till he saw her.

His eyes lit up, his Dory! "Dory!" He smiled and trotted over, getting faster and faster till he reached her. "Dory, my love!" He smiled, oh how happy he was.

orho however turned to the stranger and flew over to him, "How are you sir? May I enquire your name?"

Sayuri_Nitta
She had almost fled when Swafi finally saw her, her usual cheery manner having deserted her at that moment. But she stayed fast, and was glad she had when he spoke to her in tones of such gladness that she felt ashamed for having thought he would have forgotten her.
'Swafi..' she went to him, her flanks touching his and she lipped at his face, blowing air gently through her nose.
'I missed you,' she closed her eyes as she nosed him, lost for a moment in the greeting of her mate.

.Tortured. .Pumpkin.
His attention being torn from the horses, Hok'ee blinked at the hawk. "I'm fine, thank you. The name's Hok'ee. Just visiting for the moment." Nodding, he raised a brow at the two Soquilis, for he had never seen them before. "They're a lovely couple." He smiled at the hawk. "Do you have a name?"

((I appologise for the short response.))

Remove
Swafi smiled, he had his mate, his wonderful beautiful mate.

"I missed you to, Korho could tell you that." He had stayed loyal to Dory, something that was unusual for the previous flirty stallion. He had met many females, beautiful and not but he had never forgotten his mate.

Korho looked at the stallion, perching herself on his back. "I am Korho, that is Swafi and his mate Dory. They are a beautiful couple, a strange one as well." She did talk an awful lot this osprey.

Sayuri_Nitta

Her stubby tail flickered swiftly from side to side in her happiness.
'I thought..' Dory started but then stopped. No, she wouldnt say anything. After all she really would not have blamed him completely for seeking comfort in another mare. She was just glad he had not. She lipped his mane and then glanced to where the hawk was speaking with the nearby stallion.
'Do you know him?' she asked Swafi.

.Tortured. .Pumpkin.
Hok'ee smiled, trying not to twitch as Korho's talons gripped onto his back. "No offense, but you're quite talkative for a bird..." Chuckling, he looked back at the couple, noticing the mare looking at him, he smiled at her slightly before looking back at Korho.

Sayuri_Nitta
'I am glad I am home again, I never thought I would see this beach again. Or you,' she bumped flanks with him again, shifting her hooves as she had started to sink a little in the sand.
'I just wish I could have found Squishy. Have you seen her?' she asked, looking hopefully at Swafi.

Remove
Swafi nickered and nipped at her shoulder, "I won't ever leave you alone, not ever! I will always find you and if I don't Korho will for me." He smiled and turned to look at Korho who now decided to circle above them both.

"I haven't seen Squishy now, though Squishy doesn't like me! Could ask Korho to look? She can see better then us!" It was his idea, he didn't like Squishy and from what he knew Squishy didn't like him.

Sayuri_Nitta
'You think Squishy doesnt like you?' Dory was surprised. But then she always thought the best of everyone. She thought.
'She just looks after me. She might have thought you would hurt me or something. She will like you because I do.'
Dory shook her mane.
'I have been far. So far I was lost. I do not think even Korho would find her.'

Remove
Swafi nuzzled her neck as he looked up at Korho.

"Lets all look, the three of us! Korho would love to 'hunt' for someone as long as she could stop by water to fish. We can find Squishy!" He was trying to be opptimistic to keep Dory happy, he would help her look.

Sayuri_Nitta
'If you want.' Dory appreciated the thought from Swafi but she had pretty much resigned herself to the fact that Squishy would only turn up when she wanted to. She slowly moved off along the beach, heading for where the sea turned into the river, her little tail flicking as she went.

Remove
Swafi followed her, keeping up with her pace. He had no problem with what he was doing after all he was spending time with his Dory, in a way he hoped that they wouldn't see Squishy, that way with Korho in the air they could just spend some time together happily.

Sayuri_Nitta
Dory moved quietly for a while, just listening to the sounds of the sea and the crunch of sand under both their hooves. After a while she spoke to Swafi, turning her head a little as she talked;
'What did you do whilst I was gone? I hope you werent too lonely.' she said, noticing that the sand was spotted with grass now. They werent too far from the mouth of the river.

Remove
He turned to look at her and then looked up at the osprey. "I had her for company. We wandered for a while, met some new creatures. Headed down here alot in hope of seeing you." He looked back at her and chuckled a little.

"I missed you though. I am so glad to have you back." He walked back a little to nuzzle her neck and nicker softly. "I love you Dory."

Sayuri_Nitta
'I am sorry I was gone so long,' Dory spoke with regret.
'But you know me. I simply got so lost, forgot my way home. It was a miracle I got back here I think. Or maybe something led me home,' she whickered, gently lipping him as he spoke his sweet words.
'My heart led me home. I love you too, Swafi. I dont want to ever leave you for such a long time again.'
Her tail swished and she shook her mane.
'Well we are both a pair of soppys arent we?' she teased, her eyes lit up with mirth.

Remove
He chuckled, "I wont let you leave again, Korho can stay with you! She can see the world from up there!" He nuzzled her and smiled.

"I would rather be a pair of soppy creatures then unloved, especially by you Dory. You are far too wonderful!" He chuckled and nipped her affectionatly.

He then looked to the sky to see Korho laughing at them both. She was annoying sometimes.

Sayuri_Nitta
'I think Korho would get annoyed with me, especially as I get lost so easily.' Dory smiled, then looked worried.
'Maybe that's it. Maybe Squishy was looking for me, and is lost somewhere because of it...' she shook her head, the curls of her mane dancing as she did so.
'No. She is very clever. I know she would find her way home if she was far away.'
She nudged Swafi back.
'I know I am home now. I feel it properly now I am with you.'

Remove
"Korho doesn't get annoyed with anyone!" He chuckled, "She is a sweetie! If you want to go back to the beach though and wait for Squishy, thats good with me!" He smiled and nipped at her happily.

He felt like melting when she said the last words. "You have changed so much since I have met you Dory, I mean... you remember my name, you remember your home." He chuckled. "I am glad you are home."

Sayuri_Nitta
'I am sure she would.' Dory answered back good-naturedly. She knew her own shortcomings, and having a terrible short-term memory would test most.
'Like I said it was only by good luck that I returned home,' Dory went on as they clipped along moist mud and grass. The river was running swiftly besides them and the air smelled fresher and less salty.
'And as for remembering my name. Sometimes I thought that my name was yours.' she giggled, her ears flicking.

Remove
He chuckled "Well I am glad you think about me enough to think my name is yours!" He nudged her playfully and looked up at Korho who was watching them both from above.

"Come on Dory, I will race you back to the beach." He smiled, if she started to get lost he would put her back on the right path, or Korho would anyway.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Back to the beach? Okay..' she turned on her hooves, her short tail giving a happy little flick as she reared, hooves dancing in the air for a moment. She felt that she was meant to be doing something..but right now she would just have fun with her mate. It would come back to her!
'You can't beat me!' Dory laughed as she galloped off, her path weaving a little around the thickest mud as she went.

Remove
Swafi laughed and ran as fast as he could he looked up briefly to see Korho watching them and he knew he would watch Dory if she started to get lost.

He moved swiftly from one side to the other. Moving in a zig zag motion to try and stop any chance of Dory getting past him. He had to win after all, who had heard otherwise?

Korho flew a little lower behind Dory just to make sure she didn't forget she was suppose to be running.

Sayuri_Nitta
Dory drifted a way off the path, slowing, sniffing the ground as she clipped a long. There was a smell of fox around here..but it wasnt Squishy and she moved on again, cantering behind Swafi. She wouldnt win the race but it wasnt like it really mattered a great deal. Besides, if she lagged behind too much he might come back to check on her and then she could skip past him..
She giggled, flicking her tail.

Remove
He did pause as he heard her go off the trail a bit but when he realised she was still following he smiled and continued running. He liked running it meant he could have some time to let off any stress and feeling the wind run at him while he was running against it gave him a thrill of sorts.

"Nearly there Dory!" He could see the beach now, it wasn't far.

Sayuri_Nitta
Dory huffed. He hadnt come back!
She shook her mane and looked out at the sea from where she stood, watching the birds wheel above it not far from the shore. The race forgotten she wandered onto the golden sands, moving her hooves into the sand to hunt for shells.

Remove
Swafi stopped and trotted back to Dory. "Dory.. come with me, I want to show you a beautiful secret place." It was a cave. It was hard to get to and you had to go in the sea a little to get there. Korho had shown him.

He wanted to show Dory he loved her and that meant giving them a secret place where they could spend some time alone.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Okay?'
Her tail swished happily as he rejoined her and she reached out, gently nipping him. Dory waited for him to show her the way to this 'secret' place. She hoped it would be an easy place to find as she knew she would forget the way otherwise.

Remove
He smiled and led her along the beach till they reached some of the cliffs. He then went in the water a little, turning to make sure Dory was ok, he didn't want to take her somewhere that she would find too difficult.

He raised his head and watched Korho settle down on a branch sticking out of the cliff as if she was on watch.

"Its not far now Dory, just around this corner. Korho is watching out incase our darling friend appears." He smiled hoping somewhat that the fox wouldn't suddenly appear.

Sayuri_Nitta
Dory followed, keeping her eyes trained on Swafi and repeating occasionally to herself the reason she was following him, in case she drifted away and forgot why he was leading her away.
'I don't think she will just pop up out of nowhere,' she commented, her hooves moving under the sea water, the wavelets gently lapping around her legs.

Remove
"You never know, you popped out of no where! I am happy you did as well." He chuckled and continued walking around till he found the cave entrance and was able to get into the dry and out the wet.

"Dory, this is our secret place! Look out and all you can see is water and in here it is peaceful and quiet where we can be all alone and perfectly happy." He smiled and nipped at her.

"What do you think of this place then?" He hoped she would like it. It wasn't much as it was just an empty cave but it was pretty looking out and seeing nothing but the sea and sky. Would be a lovely romantic place at sunset.

Sayuri_Nitta
Dory shook herself, the water falling in a spray from her legs and underbelly.
'Our secret place?' she echoed, as did her words a little off the cave walls.
'It is quiet. And pretty. But I would think I would be happy anywhere with you.' she said before looking at Swafi.
'But I do like it. Thank you for showing it to me.'
If she could remember to find it again, now that would be the test. She didnt voice her worry for she was sure he would grow tired of her always speaking of her bad memory.

Remove
He smiled, "I will bring you here a few times, just so you don't forget, it would be a perfect place to have children running around in and..." He stopped looking at Dory, he couldn't recall ever talking about children with her before.

He would like children, but would she? Would she remember she had children? He would help, of course and Korho could aswell.

Sayuri_Nitta
Dory looked gratefully at Swafi. At least he understood her, even her unspoken fears.
'I would want children but I worry that I might lose them the same way I lost myself. Or Squishy.' her nose wrinkled and she let out a harrumphing sigh.
'But if you are here always then I think they should be safe. And maybe it will be like it was with you. What my mind forgets, my heart wont.'

Remove
Dory was wonderful. "Yes your heart will never forget your family. Maybe our children could stop you wandering off, we could all work together, it would be nice..." He smiled and rubbed his head on her neck.

"Would you like a family?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'Maybe..' she said, lost in thought. Her a mother? She wanted that very much - but also couldnt imagine taking on such a responsibility.
'I would,' Dory nodded as she spoke.
'I would like to have your children very much.' she smiled, her nose taking on a purplish hue as she blushed a little. He obviously wanted children. She looked out at the sea, the wavelets gently rolling past the cave entrance.

Remove
Swafi smiled so much when she said that yes she did. "I love you Dory." He nudged her gently before joining her looking out at the sea.

It was almost as beautiful as Dory.

No.

Nothing was as beautiful as Dory.

Meena meets Nanaki
SIP - started Oct 12th.

Kyaishi
Where had his ambitious incentive gone, he wondered idly... he'd been so energized in wanting to explore this land, his new home... scout for possible dangers, make new friends... but here he was, standing knee-deep and unmoving in a cool river, unwilling to move. A soft sigh befell his mouth as his flamed tail waved idly back and forth behind him, keeping itself out of the water carefully. It didn't do him any danger if the flame was doused, but it hurt like hell.

He shifted lightly, plodding around in the shallow waters and enjoying the coolness on his heated skin below the thick reddish-orange fur. It was sweltering today, and the flame he constantly carried with him wasn't helping him any. Golden eyes turned a glare to the said appendage, as if it could understand his frustration.

Sayuri_Nitta
Meena nickered softly, ears flicking a little as she looked around her. The scenery was so familiar and yet seemed strange because of the length of time she had been away. Would her siblings have grown as much as she? Were they mated..had foals of their own? And her mother and father..maybe they too had had children once more. All this and more was on her mind as she walked at a gentle pace.

She diverted towards the river as she neared it, her nostrils full of the scent of the water and only catching the stallions a little while after that. She clipped along the bank, curious to see who it was and stopped, watching him - and his tail. Was it aflame? She blinked, moving forwards and whickering a greeting at the same time.

Kyaishi
Ears twitching slightly at the sound of another's approach, he turned from his pointless withering glare on the tail that he blamed for his troubles, blinking as golden hues met the gaze of an unfamiliar mare. This one, he noted absently, didn't have wings... he supposed miss Star was just special in that aspect.

A gentle smile adorned his features as he turned to face her and dipped his head in what he hoped was a placating gesture, shifting lightly to accomodate the changing flow of the water around his legs. The last thing he wanted to do was scare off a potential friend in this large land that was now his home... as unfamiliar as the feeling was, he was starting to experience what he considered 'loneliness', being by himself in this new place.

"Salutations," the smile morphed to a disarming grin, hoping to show that he meant no harm.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Hello,' she said cheerfully. He didnt seem to be someone she needed to avoid, his welcome had been pretty cordial.
'Is that fire on your tail real?' she got straight to the point, eyeing the flaming appendage with open curiosity.

Kyaishi
He blinked at the bluntness of the question, although it wasn't at all unwelcome. Chuckling lightly, the said appendage wavered by his side absently as he turned to look at it while he spoke. "Well, yes, unfortunately. I suppose you could say it runs in the family." Golden eyes studied the mare curiously as he turned his attention back to her, head tilting to one side curiously as he placed an inquiry of his own. "My name is Nanaki, although some prefer to call me Red... may I ask your name, miss?"

Sayuri_Nitta
Meena smiled, flicking her own braided tail.
'Does the fire hurt you? I mean I guess it doesnt, you dont look in pain.' she mused out loud.
'Does it make you warm? That can't be nice when its summer.'
She bowed her head when he gave his name, and replied.
'Oh of course. I am Meena. I don't really have any name other then that. It's nice to meet you Nanaki.'

Kyaishi
"No, it doesn't hurt, most of the time I don't even notice it's there... but yes, unfortunately, it does make me hot," he admitted, resisting the urge to send another glare towards the firey appendage. He laughed lightly as he shook his head, short mane ruffling uncomfortably as he turned his full attention back to the other soquili. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, miss Meena. You're only the third of our kind I've met out here, thus far, it is nice to have company."

Sayuri_Nitta
Meena bent a moment, taking a long drink and then stood once more.
'Well you look hot all the time, what with your colouring,' she quipped with a smile.
'You are new to these parts then? Where did you come from?'

Kyaishi
He blinked a moment as he pondered the meaning of her statement, wondering if she knew what she'd just said, but chuckled lightly in sheepish embarassment as he offered a smile in return. "Well thank you, miss Meena, you're not so bad looking yourself." He laughed to himself softly as he bent to take a short drink as well, looking back up as he finished. "I came from an entirely different universe from this one, I think... it's in ruins- there is corruption, pollution, and much bloodshed... and war is tearing the remaining countries apart."

Sayuri_Nitta
Had she inadvertantly complimented the stallions looks? She actually meant he looked warm because of the hot red pelt. But, well she did concede to herself that he also looked pleasing to the eye. She kicked a little at the ground.
'Not so bad huh?' she teased, tilting her nose upwards as if offended. Then she laughed.
'How did you get here then?' she asked, fascinated by his answer.

Kyaishi
He chuckled softly, nodding to her as she raised her muzzle. At her question, he paused to wonder that himself for a moment, golden eyes glazing over as his brow furrowed in concentration. He was silent for a minute, and when he spoke again, his voice was speculative. "Hmmm... now that you mention it, I'm not entirely sure. I know that after Sephiroth's defeat, the Lifestream destroyed Meteor, and..." he trailed off, realizing that she probably had no idea what he was talking about. He laughed nervously, shaking his head with a sheepish grin. "Sorry, I keep forgetting that this place is entirely different. I don't really know how I got here."

Sayuri_Nitta
His answer was very confusing and she nodded at his latter comments.
'I was born here, my mother comes from around here and my father came from the mountains.' she clipped slowly over to Nanaki, standing in the water next to him and gently lipped his mane, showing her sympathy for his confusion about his past.
'Are you happy here so far?'

Kyaishi
He offered her a grateful smile in response, nodding as his head tilted upwards to look into the clear blue sky. "I am, indeed. It's so peaceful here- no war, no fighting, no corruption or pollution... but I'm afraid I'll find myself without much of a cause or a purpose living here. I've grown accustomed to the world that I knew, I can't imagine I'd be of much help to anyone here."

Sayuri_Nitta
Meena flicked her ears, a little confused still. She wasnt a stupid mare, not by a long shot but she only knew what she had experienced, and the words that he used were very foreign. She had an inkling that his old world had been a bad one, but couldnt see how he would feel useless because they were in a peaceful place.
'Why do you say that? You were strong, a fighing horse back where you came from? Well not all is peace. There can still be problems even here.' she nudged him a little.
'I think you will find a place for yourself here if you take the time to see.'

Izusa and Guilian meet and become intimate

Sayuri_Nitta
'Soft little fruit..exposed and easy to pick.' Izusa mumbled as she stood in the meadow that flanked the Village. Izusa had returned, spent far too much time away on her own, and most of that had been in the Indian Burial ground, a dank place that echoed with the wind..or the call of lost spirits some might say.
She pawed the ground, the soft mud passing through the cleft in her cloven hoof, her wings opening for a stretch and then settling.
'And what of the ones that feed on the juice of the fruit? Are they still there, little lives, little minds.' she snorted, shaking her head. The day was bright but the air cold. She needed to find a place to shelter for when winter truly hit and so had slowly drifted back here. For now she simply stood, sun warming a back that had felt little of its rays these past months.

Cajmera
Strange...so very strange. Guilian had been out and about, taking advantage of the strong winds that heralded the coming of winter to get some far-flung aerial exercises in. But he hadn't encountered on spying a female, not so soon after takeoff.

Naturally drawn to the female sex as he was, the red stallion nevertheless liked to examine first before making his approach. Folding back his wings slightly, he spiralled down towards the ground, taking note of a things as he did so. For one thing, this mare had horns. Horns, a peculiar tail, and wings such as he had seen on no mare before...but on one distinctive stallion.

Smiling to himself, Guilian gently alighted on the ground a short distance away from Izusa. There was really no explanation; he had to be looking at a kalona. And for all the spikes, she wasn't bad looking!

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa shivered, turning a little, sunlight glinting of her silvery-purple pelt a little as she moved. Her tendrilled tail whipped the ground, indescision making her stand her and simply watch as the life within the Village carried on before her eyes.
She turned away, intent on heading to the stream for a drink and then stopped as she saw the winged stallion.
'He is blood.' she said, her head tilted to one side as she regarded him.
'Does he make the other's bleed or is it just a pretty pretty show?'

Cajmera
His black eyes glinted appreciatively as the kalona mare turned, showing off a fine silhouette and an intriguingly shiny pelt, one almost metallic in its sheen. Yes, kalonas couldn't possibly be as bad as he'd heard, not if it was possible for them to look this way.

As she looked at him and spoke, though, he found himself suddenly more confused than he'd ever been when dealing with a mare before. She was looking at him without looking AT him...as though he wasn't really there, but was a statue or a painting. How very strange. Still, for all he knew this could be some sort of test.

"Bleeding others is not high on my list of priorities, Chica; my color is maintained wholly by myself through my own efforts, in which case I'd say it's just a show. But it is at least an attention grabbing show, no?" As he spoke, he kept an eye on her; she seemed like the type he should take his time approaching...but even that type had its weaknesses!

Sayuri_Nitta
She regarded him without words, sharp eyes taking in the curl to his mane and tail, the feathered wings and his own appreciative looks towards her.
'Your colour should be on a kalona, it is wasted on bird wings like you.' she said, making more sense and sounding more snippish. She bared the tiny fangs in her mouth and made a sibilant hissing noise.
'I am wondering if you will taste of blood or cherries.' she queried out loud, almost to herself. A part of her still lucid mind wondered why he was stood talking to a Kalona as if she were any other of their kind. Another, buried instinct found his male scent pleasing to her nostrils.

Cajmera
"Obviously the forces that be decided that the color would be better suited to me than to a Kalona, Chica, and who am I to argue with that?" Quirking a brow, Guilian maintained his casual stance a few paces away, his keen eye taking in every fidget the strange mare made. In particular, he was drawn to the glimmer of fangs...those were quite the teeth she had there, which raised the question of whether or not she was the type who used them in all situations; he was betting yes.

"As to what I taste like, that's something you'd have to find out on your own, Chica; that would best suit you to making up your own mind, yes?" Tilting his head to one side, Guilian smiled in a manner both inviting and teasing. She was an interesting one, this mare...and he'd always been fond of the interesting ones.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Bite yourself and tell me,' she retorted, not interested in doing so now that it was something the stallion wouldnt mind her doing.
'So is blood looking for his lady love, his squealing babbies? Or does he have no purpose other then to admire a beauty beyond his reach?'
Izusa's wings opened, stretching to their full span before she folded them again. In the times when her mind wasnt working tricks on her, she often wondered what it would be like to have foals of her own, spread the Kalona blood further into the lands.

Cajmera
Smiling a bit bemusedly, Guilian shook his head in response to the mare's 'order'. "No can do, Chica; what is acceptable when done by someone else holds neither allure nor interest when done by one's self." Cocking his head to one side, the cardinal stallion adjusted the wayward rose behind his ear, though his attention remained fixed on the mare. She had a lovely set of wings; very much like Ariston's had been, albeit shinier and more colorful. Very colorful, in fact.

But whatever was going on in her head, she was starting to get WAY out there in terms of thought processes. Babies? As though he was the type; the very idea was laughable. Not that he couldn't make them, nor that they would be anything but the picture of beauty and strength...he just didn't feel inclined to take up the necessary responsibility just yet, thanks very much. "Dunno if 'love' is the best word for it, Chica, and who says there need to be foals involved to be commited? I'll have you know that some of the most sincere joinings have involved no children a'tall." He wasn't really sure what she meant by that whole little spiel, but at the same time, wondered if she herself knew!

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa snorted at him.
'There are no sincere joinings. Love is a trick, love ruins you. Affection makes you weak. The only true reason for a joining is to further the species, and even then it should be as brief as the act requires.'
Her wings rustled again, and she paced, looking at Guilian. Clarity fled again and she snapped at a fly that wasnt there, looking over at the Village.
'What is blood doing near the two-legged ones then? Does he serve them, want to protect them?'

Cajmera
Whoa, love? Now the mare was really starting to see things, or hear things, or some other semblence of borderline insanity. As a gentleman, Guilian simply couldn't allow himself to let her go on like this; it was downright embarrassing!

"I think that we are at cross-purposes, Chica. When I speak of sincerity, I do not refer to commitment; I refer to sheer enjoyment. While I understand and appreciate the value of passion as a means of procreation, limiting oneself to such banal purposes is to cheat oneself out of true pleasure. And such pleasure is the true definition of a sincere joining, one that both participants enjoy on a truly personal level."

As he spoke, the cardinal stallion had started to approach the mare; perhaps he was being fool-hardy in approaching one so so obviously unbalanced, but how could he expect her to believe him if she didn't seen he was sincere? "I have no idea what you mean by serving the two-leggers though, Chica; while it is true that I frequent the home of one from time to time when I run out of roses, I can't say there's an exceptionally strong tie." He needed to roam, to be on his own to work his magic on the mares of the world! No way he'd settle down with a two-legger; that would be even worse than monogamy! "I'm here now because I just needed to get some new roses, actually...but I highly doubt you have the same reasons."

Sayuri_Nitta
The more Guilian spoke the less foggy her mind was becoming. Finally she could think clearly again and she let out a sibilant hissing noise, baring the tiny fangs again.
'So you are saying you join with mares for pure pleasure? I wonder what they truly think of that..most I have know would find love in any small gesture from a stallion.' her tail flicked, the tendrils kicking up mud.
'Flowers? You collect flowers?' there was a strong sound of contempt in her voice at that notion. And here she had thought he might be one of the rare Soquili that werent Kalona that she could grudgingly get along with. For all his words he was as weak as the rest.

Cajmera
As Izusa went flicking up mud, Guilian neatly stepped to the side; mare or no, he didn't enjoy letting anyone get him dirty, not even himself. In fact, it could almost be said that filth was one of the few things that the overamorous stallion counted as a complete turnoff.

Still, neither he himself nor this mare was dirty, so...

"I assure you, Chica, that never once have I encountered even the slightest bit of disaproval from the mares I choose to join with. Quite the contrary, they are usually so pleased with my efforts that they often wish to repeat the process." Unfortunately, sometimes that desire to repeat could become so restrictive and clingy that he was forced to break one of his cardinal rules of wooing, 'never leave abruptly'. Ah, the bittersweet fate of those that allowed their hearts to get the better of their heads! He always pitied those that thought he could be tied down, for such was not his way, nor had it ever been.

However, once again his mind was straying off topic, musing philosophical issues with no bearing on the situation. He was reminded of this fact when Izusa all but spat her remark about his flowers in his face, causing the stallion to actually smile wider. "Collect flowers? Chica, you amuse me so with the innocence of your logic. What would I do with flowers if they didn't have some sort of use to me?"

As he spoke, he shook his head enough to dislodge the rose that nestled behind his ear, the black flower floating down to where Guilian caught it on one upraised forehoof. "You'd be surprised what effect a simple flower can have on the passions of even the most inhibited of mares, Chica, particularly if the delivery is right."

Sayuri_Nitta
'You tell me,' she said, her voice lowering. He seemed to believe he had some sort of power with mares..an arrogance that he could get what he wanted and have them begging for more.
'I am not most mares.' Izusa said, clipping forward so that she was in his space. Her tail coiled around, the tendrils slithering a little onto his shoulders.
'Do you think you would live through seducing me?'
Again she smiled, the action slightly 'off', her canines showing. She hungered for something..meat had come into her diet later in life but it was very enjoyable. But this felt like a different need.

Cajmera
Perhaps Guilian was borderline suicidal. Or perhaps it was merely that he was intrigued by an undeniably different situation. Regardless, he didn't even flinch as the kalona mare moved into his space, her spiked tail remarkably close to the vulnerable veins in his neck and her pointed teeth a reminder that this breed could be dangerous...dangerous on more levels than just the physical. Though it was hard to forget the physical at the moment.

Thus the situation had become a game, but a game of a more serious level. Would she or wouldn't she...and would he be able to fight if she decided to follow thorugh on her thinly veiled threat?

Well, Guilian had never suffered from insecurity, and if anything the danger of the situation was providing more of a rush than a deterant. "Chica, I'd think that the one who accused you of being like the rest would need to have his head examined at the very least. But for all that you are not like most others, you are still a mare when it comes down to it, are you not?"

Maintaining his careless pose even with the eerily creepy mare in his face, he returned her smile with one of his own, one that was both amused and interested. "As for your question...seduction comes on many levels, Chica; the question is, would you find the experience such a abhorent one to endure?" Might as well cut to the chase when the situation called for it!

Sayuri_Nitta
Interesting.... He did not flinch and she let the tendrils coil a little around his neck, wings gently rustling as she made what was for her gestures of affection.
'I was the first you know..' she whispered close to his ear, then grazed his neck with her fangs, enough to hurt a little but not to draw any blood.
'I was the only one for so long. No spikes..no tail like mine. They were all delicate and I was hard.'
She moved her mouth away again and gave a little squeeze with her tail.
'I will take what you have to offer. And probably leave you wanting more..I am not all there..and you are blood. And I like blood.'

Cajmera
As he felt the tendrils of the mare's tail coil about his neck, Guilian smiled slightly and tilted his head to the side, allowing them to touch his cheek even as her fangs grazed the other side of his neck. The points of her fangs hurt slightly, but it was the hurt of a thorn-p***k; minor and easily ignored. However, the sensation of pain only added to the acute arousal of the situation, furthered along as much by the danger she represented as the closeness and sensuality of the situation.

Her words, spoken in that husky tone, went right through him, but it was with a greater feeling of self-control that he straightened his head to smile at the kalona mare, running one wingtip lightly along the curve of her jaw. "First you might be, Chica, but there is no reason for that to force you to be alone. In this, perhaps, you will find that there is more to yourself than you have previously realized...and we shall see who truly ends up desiring more." At that, his smile curved into one of pure smugness, challenging Izusa with his eyes. She was dangerous, oh yes...but he was far from afraid. "Now then..."

Sayuri_Nitta
Something flashed in her eyes, a dangerous light as Guilian made the gentle carress with his tail to her jaw. She squeezed harder with her tail tendrils, bringing her mouth closer to his and lipping him, her warm mouth pressed against his for a brief moment - and then she withdrew, her tail slithering to the floor as she stepped neatly away, wings rustling as she looked at him.
'I am not so easily picked.' she said, snippishly in reference to his flower giving.
'And I never will become one of those mares lost in her head for a stallion.'

Cajmera
If horses had fingers, Guilian probably would have snapped his right then. Damn but that was cruel of her, coming so close and tantalizing him before backing out!

And yet, perversely that only strengthened the cardinal stallion's desire to finally experience her. She was so in control of herself, yet at the same time he'd seen the dangerous light in her eye. Passion could come from many things, be it physical pleasure, anger, rage, insanity...where there was one, there always existed the possibility of others. And he was nothing if not optimistic.

As she stepped away, Guilian merely grinned, raising his wing to stroke his own neck where her tail had been so tightly wrapped mere minutes earlier. This mare was something else alright.

"Trust me when I say I'd pity the stallion who would even consider such an idea, Chica. There are those that are meant to fall, and then there are those that aren't. You are firmly in the second category, as am I myself."

Having ascertained that all was well and god with his throat, Guilian folded back his wings and arched his neck proudly, looking over at Izusa with unguarded interest but this time making no move towards her. "There needs not be any commitment, Chica; for all either of us know, we might and very well could never see each other again. So why worry about possibilities when we have a very probable positive, close enough to touch?" He was such a brilliant Soquili. If he could spell, he'd write a book; as it was, he was focused on only one thing, and that was showing others the light. So close, and yet so far...

Sayuri_Nitta
What was it the blood stallion wanted? She had all but strangled him, and he had seemed to merely take it as a challenge. It did amuse her greatly that she seemed to have hooked him, rather then the other way around, something he had confessed he found easy to do.
'You are determined to conquer me?' she said, her voice expressing the astonishment she felt at his foolharded approach.
'You wish to boast of being with me. I can see that would a prize indeed. You'll never find anyone like me,' she sighed, a long exhalation of breath. It was quite a strange thing to be wanted, rather then avoided. There was also the curiosity of wanting to know what the act was. But if there were children? She did not know that she could bear to water the Kalona bloodline, she'd heard tell of there being half-Kalonas, whispers in the breeze of her kind betraying who they were for the sake of a family love. She looked at him from under hooded eyes.
'Are you brave?'

Cajmera
Guilian was enjoying himself; enjoying himself a great deal more than he should, considering the circumstances. But this was a new experience, deliciously new and therefore worth enjoying. Had his friend Ariston been around, the white stallion would no doubt have been shocked to see Guilian in the role of pursuer and not pursuee, but sometimes one had to be willing to work for what they wanted, right?

And it appeared that his persistance was paying off, if not in outright capitulation at least in brownie points. She seemed to be reacting to him on some level, that much he could tell from the incredulous edge of her voice. Poor girl, was it really so shocking to be wanted? Or perhaps it was, for a kalona...or maybe this was all a ruse. He didn't have enough experience with the breed to make an educated guess, so all he was operating on here was his knowlegde of female behavior.

Still, his charming grin of amusement was marred slightly by a harsh coldness that briefly flashed through his gaze at her comment about boasting. Boasting? Where the hell had she gotten that idea from? He was deeply offended by the comment, and his voice had a slight edge to it as he replied. "I don't know what stallions you've had experience with in the past, Chica, but a true lover doesn't kiss and tell, not unless the female is the sort that wishes it to be so." It wasn't as if HE hadn't been bragged about before, after all! But to think he'd get his kicks out of talking about bedding her...

However, both expression and voice turned softer, caressingly so, once he finished. "I want you for yourself, Chica, not for the pleasure of talking about it later. I want to thrill you, to make your blood sing, to take you places you've never been." Here his smile curved up on one side, becoming a bit more playful. "And perhaps prove that there's something to be said for non-kalonas. As for myself...I'd say that I'm brave enough, when it comes to getting what I want." A bit blunt, perhaps, but word games and hedging were for those who didn't know what they were getting into.

And he'd gone too far to chicken out now.

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa curved her neck, spreading one wing out and rasping at the edge where an itch had developed, her fang teeth flashing again in the light for a moment.
'You stallions seem to be a prideful lot.' she said, her attention back on him after fruitlessly snapping at an early fly that was irritating her. Her wings rustled as she settled them again, and her fidgeting quieted for a moment.
'Wanted..' she whispered, and she seemed to be looking at nothing, listening to something, her head canted to the side as though someone invisible spoke into one ear.
'Izusa was never wanted, Izusa was alone..' her mind had wandered again, and she spoke as though she was someone else.
'Brave blood stallion will look after Izusa?' she had clipped over to him, tucking her nose under his chin, acting in a way to be pitied. A ruse? She could have been playing - or her mind could simply have wandered into a state of need.

Cajmera
Prideful? Well, perhaps that was the case, but why should one be anything but proud when Nature had blessed one as generously as Guilian had been? Maybe to some such thoughts were those of a conceited individual, but jealous minds acted out in strange ways.

Or so Guilian had always thought.

He was still amused by the matter-of-fact way Izusa had commented on that fact, and was just about to reply when her sudden about-face into the child-like state of innocence caught him off-guard once again. There was definitly something strange about this mare...but strange in a positive way.

Taking advatage of her closeness, Guilian nuzzled at the mare's muzzle, ignoring the pointed parts as best he could. At the same time, he draped a wing over her body, holding her against his side so that she could feel his warmth. "Chica, you need never worry about such things when you are with me; know that I will look after you for as long as you need...or desire." His voice had become lilting, husky. Ah, how he desired this mare at the moment...but did she feel the same?

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa was definately in a needy state of mind. A small flare of rage as Guilian cossetted her with one wing flared like a match in darkness, and was just as swiftly extinguished.
'What I need?'
What did she want? It was difficult to think. His male scent was a little overwhelming, the touch of his warm flank against the cool, almost polished hairs of her pelt was a greater comfort then she wanted to admit. The tiny swirling part of her mind that was sane, was the Kalona part of her, raged and fluttered like a trapped hunting bird in a cage but it was drowning in the sea of the main confused part of her mind.
'Tell me what that is. Show me.' she said, her voice pitched in a way that no professed wooer of mares could easily resist.

Cajmera
Surrender, sweetest of terms. Guilian had to fight the urge to smile, a a wide smile of pure smugness and lust mingled into an expression as feral as the wildest of wolves. But his prior dealings with this mare, brief as they were, had lead him to caution; there was nothing to prevent her from pulling back yet again, and the next time he might not be able to draw her back to him. He could almost feel the tension in the air, the heavy weighing of decision and indecision as the mare beside him stood silent and still...

Then his throat caught at her words, words of need and capitulation spoken in a husky tone, the sort of tone that just screamed 'take me'. If he'd been waiting for opportunity, this was it.

"Ah, Chica, you had but to ask." Smiling the merest ghost of his suppressed smile, Guilian carressed her cheek with one wing..then lowered his head to her jawline, nipping and nibbling at the exposed skin as he ran a line to her throat. He wanted to savor this experience and move rapidly at the same time, the twin desires being weighed against indecision and disbelief of his own. It remained to see how she responded...

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa closed her eyes. Her wings rustled with someone that was either panic or irritation as Guilian nipped along under head and at her throat. Irritation because she really had no experience with this closeness and it bought up the feelings of hatred for those that were not Kalona, and panic because knowing you've put yourself into a vulnerable position and accepting it were two seperate things.
'I did..' she said, her tail moving slowly, as if invested with its own life. The tendrils coiled around one of his legs, gripping a little but not as to hurt.
'Here in the light?' she asked. If she was to experience something new, she would rather they slip into shadows, away from prying eyes of any kind.

Cajmera
Well, obviously she wasn't backing out, at least not yet. Still, Guilian wasn't completely satisfied with her reaction; she was stiff, and seemed to be uncertain, so he needed to work a little bit harder to make her feel at ease, relaxed, and as wanton as he felt she truly could be.

Her question, paired with the tail around his leg, brought forth a whole new light to his smile. So, she wanted some darkness, eh? Well, he could do with some privacy as well.

"Well, we could stay here in the light, but I have to admit that shadow and darkness can add their own pleasurable edges to an already pleasant experience. And by an amazing coincidence I think I know just the place..." And keeping contact with the mare, he lead her off towards the trees...

Sayuri_Nitta
A complete surrender required more trust...or more experience then she actually had in these matters. Izusa did allow herself to be lead off however, away.
There was something to be said for being alone, however addled it made ones mind. Alone she had complete privacy. Here, so near the Village there were so many eyes. The two-leggers. The other Soquili that she knew did not like her. The tendrils around his leg stayed there...if she sensed any danger, if he had any purpose in mind other then what he seemed to want, she would hobble him, attack his legs and flee.

Cajmera
Walking was usually an easy enough matter, but when there was a spiked tail twined about your limbs, even that simple task could be made complicated. Still, Guilian had no problems with staying close to Izusa; spiky and thorny as she was, there was just something about her that enflamed his senses and piqued his curiousity. Besides that, he did NOT need her taking off on him, not at the moment.

So it was with great care that he pushed his way through the trees, leading her along to the place he remembered, the place where the trees let up and provided a little bit of room for maneuverings. It wasn't far, but for a few minutes he was relatively quiet, leading her along through the darkness of the woods before the two were all at once in a small clearing. It was bearly a clearing at all, in fact, more like a gap in the trees large enough for maybe four Soquili to fit, if they stood still; but he felt it was more than enough space for what they had in mind.

Turning to the mare, he raised a brow in query. "What do you think, Chica? Is this dark enough...and private enough for you?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'And he is such a gentleman too,' Izusa said, looking around the clearing..though that was too grand a word for the gap that had not given forth to trees for some reason. She spoke as though talking to someone else - not Guilian but one who wasnt there.
'A lady? No I dont think so. Ladies dont head off into the dark with men they barely know.'
Her head turned to face him, the feeble light making her eyes flash for a moment.
'Why does he call me that word? Blood believes that sweet talk will soften thorns.' her tail tightened a little on his leg.
'I want nothing sweet.' she bared her fangs.
'Come..let us dance. We can do what you please...I'll be yours.'
And then. She would have him. Dangling on the end of her hook. She was crazed. Dangerous. And still he wanted her.

Cajmera
Hopefully the little lapses into what Guilian had begun to think of as Izusa's 'dreamworld' mindset wouldn't do any lasting damage on the mood. Izusa's mood, rather; Guilian's mood was now at the point where the only thing that could slow him down was a frigid bath...which he obviously, under the circumstances, felt no inclination for.

But he hadn't gotten to this point in life by being careless. Her rather acusatory words, thrown into his face with the dangerous glint in her eyes, served to remind him that nothing was ever certain until it had been done...and he wasn't there yet.

Smiling his ferally seductive smile, Guilian lowered his head to her throat once again, nuzzling against the hollow as he spoke. "Chica merely means girl, Izusa; and regardless of whether you are kalona or unicorn, you are very much a female. Words serve no purpose if they aren't understood for what they are intended...and perhaps I'm in the mood for some thorns."

Her words were both invitation and challenge, coming from HER as they were. So sweet wasn't wanted, hrm? Well, there was no reason that she couldn’t have rough…and realize that sweet was all in the perception. She could say all she wanted now, but they’d both have to see what the end results were, wouldn’t they?

“In that case, Chica, dance we shall. And as for being mine…I promise you won’t regret it.” Dark eyes glittered, but it was certainly not anger that was radiating from the cardinal stallion’s eyes as he moved around the mare, running his wingtips lightly over her body. “Nor shall I, if I’m any judge…”

Sayuri_Nitta
Chica, chica.. it was almost as if he was calling the birds. She was curious as to why he would bandy the word around if all it meant was what she actually was! It showed that his words were not sincere or to be trusted..but for a while her mental chatter was silenced.

She stretched lazily, arching her neck and flapping her wings slowly, languidly. Izusa looked at Guilian, then slowly groomed herself where she could, teasing dried mud from her legs and twisting so that her mane ran through the spines of one wing, 'combing' it. For a moment she would be silent, waiting for him to speak first.

Cajmera
Not bad, not bad at all. Guilian had likewise been distracted for a few minutes, replacing fallen roses into his tail and gently smoothing his wingtips over a few tender areas; mental note, spikes needed to be treated with caution. Or more caution than he had. But a few necessary injuries he could deal with.

She had been looking at him, albeit for a brief while, but hadn't spoken otherwise. He wasn't sure what that silence meant, to be honest...but there was only one way to find out.

Flicking back his wings to their usual resting place, he quirked a brow at the mare. "Well, how are you feeling, Chica? Was it worth the risk?" The risk he spoke of wasn't a true risk, of course; no, what he was referring to was the risk of intimacy. She had seemed so resolute at first, after all...

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa licked her lips again, tasting the copper that was Guilian's blood. Obviously their passion had been painful for the stallion, he'd not been careful of her spikes. Her wings folded, her mane shaken into place, she tapped the floor with her tail tendrils, then letting them slither into a resting spot behind her.
'You taste nice..' she sighed softly, looking at him in a dreamy fashion. Then she smiled.
'Risk? I shall decide..at another time.'
She had actually liked it, but wanted to see how far she could string him along. Would he try and press himself on her again to prove his worth further?

Cajmera
A sly smile crossed Guilian's face, if briefly; that look in her eyes as she'd commented on his taste was one he'd been on the receiving end of before, and it never failed to give him a sense of pride. Any stallion could satisfy himself, after all; but it took a bit more finesse to satisfy the mare as well. If that look had been any indication...

"I taste nice, eh Chica? So which was it, blood, or cherries?" The question was a return to their earlier conversation, back when she had eyed his red coat and pondered what it might hide. He had a hunch it wasn't cherries she was referring to, but he couldn't resist a little teasing. After all, this was a novel experience for him as well.

Her refusal to answer his question on made his smile widen; he'd almost think she was acting coy, if it wasn't for her obvious naivette when it came to this sort of thing. Ah, she was an interesting one, this Izusa.

Shaking out his mane, he gave her a wink and an actual chuckle. "Well Chica, for now taste is a positive. But if you are not sure whether it was worth it...perhaps after next time you will know for sure." He knew what HIS view on the matter was, after all; and pointy parts aside, he was more than willing to repeat the experience.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Blood is like apples..' she corrected him.
'Tart and spicy.' she drifted then, her wings bunching against her body, a shiver passing over her silvery-purple pelt. Izusa felt a sense of...shame. What if their union resulted in fruit? She had watered the Kalona line.

'Next time..' she mumbled, her tail lashing in irritation.
'Next time he says. For he does not know. Does he care? Does he care that he planted seed in the garden? Seed in the garden might grow..' she moved around the small clearing, scratched by branches as she stumbled heedlessly.

Cajmera
Spicy, eh? Spicy he could deal with, spicy sounded exotic and intriguing, just as he imagined himself to be. But his pride at that comparison didn't prevent him from noticing his companion's sudden shift back into 'dreamland', nor from seeing her stagger into the poking branches.

"Whoa, careful there Chica; you're going to hurt yourself, and that's not the purpose of this little rendesvous."

As he spoke, he stepped up towards the mare, moving his wing to push the twigs away from Izusu's body. He could hear her mumbling as he did so, something about gardening? Strange mare. This was a strange meeting, really. "Izusa, Chica, come back to me; show me that you haven't left me!"

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa brought a wing around to her mouth, licking the oozing blood that the thorny bushes tearing had made spring forth. She licked her mouth, curling tongue around eyeteeth and then looked at Guilian, seeing him again properly.
'You do not get that this was all pain for me. I am not supposed to feel. Cannot be weak.' she hissed, snapping her wings tight against her side so that they wouldnt catch on another part of the vegetation around them.
'Close as close to be, and I'm still far away. And what if there were foals? Roses would leave. Roses would run.'
"Roses" now suddenly Guilian's new nickname. She was troubled; annoyed with herself for not thinking about possible consequences until now.

Cajmera
As Izusa licked his wings, the thought flicked briefly through his brain that that was a remarkably erotic gesture, though why, he had no idea. Far more prominant was the realization that she was back...at least somewhat back, in the real world, and he was quick to latch onto that realization.

But she wasn't making much sense, not during her diatribe about weakness. What was supposed to be pain for her? Had she meant to stab herself with the thorns? Or was she referring to what they'd just done? Or just to life in general? He wasn't really up to unravelling the half-unclear ramblings of a sun-dazed mind, but now that he had a personal stake, he had to at least try.

And at least one statement was clear.

"Foals?" Talk about your below the belt punches; if he wasn't used to hearing about this particular topic, it would have taken him even more by surprise. As it was, he suddenly understood her upset.

Smiling, he shook his head at the kalona. "Now your worries make sense to me, Chica, indeed they do. But why worry about something that cannot be prevented, or even necessitates worry? Know that I have never in my life fathered foals, in spite of being with numerous mares. The odds of something happening now are quite small, wouldn't you say? And I couldn't say that our genes are directly compatible one way or the other, so that's another thing not to worry about. But if by 'Roses' you refer to me, Chica..."

Here his voice turned low and sultry once again, and he met Isuza's gaze with his own, unblinking. "I don't run from my committments, Chica, and kids are a committement. I doubt you have cause to worry, but should you have reason, then rest assured I will be around. They would be my own children as well, after all...and with a mother like you, no doubt infinitely gorgeous."

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa hissed and snapped at him, fire in her eyes;
'Flatter me not! I know you. You said. This is just fun..' she spat the word, wings rattling in irritation.
'You would not stay. If my belly held your spawn, you would be gone - filling the next 'Chica' with your seed. Because you know not..mares dont always say. Birthed your babies and went away.' she voice became sing-song.
'Little roses come out and play..' she whispered.
'I dont have sense.' she said suddenly, clearer again.
'I never did. Never got close. It was too much. Scent all over me. Want more, shouldnt have more, bad for you. Stop you flying, make you weak.'

Cajmera
One moment shrewish, the next passive; one moment threatening, the next, aroused. It was an experience to be around Izusa, though exactly what that experience entailed tended to vary from moment to moment. However, Guilian had finally realized that the saliant moments needed to be latched onto quickly, so latch he did.

Frowning a bit at the harsh comments, he met the mare's gaze squarely. "If indeed I have had children by previous mares, the mares in question obviously didn't see fit to tell me about it, Chica. And never once have I encounted another that even remotely resembled me, which makes me doubt that any children exist. I don't belive in abandonment, Chica, and I don't plan on starting now."

He was losing her again; she was waffling back and forth between clarity and delusion by the moment, it seemed. He hadn't anticipated this sort of sparring match, not when everything had gone so well before; even her own words admitted as much to him. Yet she was determined to fight it, to see the worst...he wasn't going to get anywhere with this.

Lifting a wingtip, he boldly caressed her cheek. "You are new to this, Chica, so your worries are at least believable. But know this; I don't treat mares so harshly. My foals are mine, whenever they appear and by whichever mare, and I will provide. You want assurance, yes?"

Stepping away from the mare, Guilian moved over to the path by which they'd come. "I shall stay in the area, Chica, long enough for you to know whether you have any reason to fret. Should you believe you have cause, I shouldn't be hard to find...and when that time passes without you needing to see me, I hope you remember what we had with a bit more fondness, as I already do."

It was time to go.

Sayuri_Nitta
During his words she had calmed again, lucid and whole in her head.
'If I want to, I will find you.' she said simply, her wings folding tightly against her body, giving him leave with her words and body language. Not falling apart, she was together again, and she would watch him go passively.

Cajmera
That was better.

An amused smile on his lips, Guilian gave Izusa a nod of farewell. "I couldn't doubt it if I wanted to, Chica; until such a time as we meet again, stay strong, sleek, and sexy." Not that such would be a difficult thing for her; her type was born to be in control of both themselves and those around them.

Well, most of the time.

At any rate, it had been a MOST eventful encounter, and he doubted he'd be able to forget it any time soon. That in mind, he turned and started off through the trees, a lone black rose from his tail tumbling to the ground as he vanished from sight..

Dory stumbled along, the extra weight around her middle causing her to feel out of balance. She didnt think she'd eaten that much in the past months - not enough for this size a belly! She wanted to ask Swafi about it, maybe he would know what was wrong with her but she'd gotten lost again, so she thought and was wandering around ceaselessly, getting weary.
She stopped suddenly - did fat move!?! Something was stirring in her belly, it felt like more then one something, rolling around and kicking out at her insides. As she stood there, feeling not just a little panicked she heard a voice from her right.
'He got you pregnant then?'
She turned, her mouth falling open as a pinkly hued fox came pattering out of the nearby undergrowth.
'Squishy!' she said, clipping over and nearly knocking the familiar over with an over enthusiastic nuzzle.
'What do you mean pregnant?'
Squishy licked at her fur before answering.
'Did you think you were just fat or something?' she chuckled, sitting down and curling her brush around her front feet.
'You spent enough time with Swafi, you must remember the mating.'
'Oh..' Dory went all quiet, her cheeks turning a slightly darker blue.
'Yes, well that means you are carrying babies now.' she eyed the bump.
'And I dont think for much longer either. Did Swafi not explain this to you?'
Dory sighed.
'I got lost again, I havent seen him for ages, not since I started getting..well getting the babies.'
She looked at Squishy.
'Where did you go?' she asked.
'I missed you. And I got lost trying to find you.'
Squishy made a small barking noise.
'You forgot! I told you I was leaving for a while for my own reasons.' she got up, padding over and nudged the Soquili's leg.
'Come on, let's get you back to the Village before you pop.'...

Izusa tells Guilian of her 'condition'

Sayuri_Nitta
If Yzma was right...Izusa stumbled around, her wings hanging limply as if she had injured the both. Her tail dragged behind her as well as she wandered in a zigzag fashion towards the spot - well where it happened basically. She hadnt seen Guilian since then, and despite her mixed up feelings over him, and over what they had shared, had forced herself not to look for him.
But now..she had become more hungry during the past few weeks and although her bouts of insanity had lessened, she found herself more emotional, and was prone to feelings of loneliness, and was disliking her self imposed solitude. And when her familiar commented on how she had seemed to be gaining weight around her middle she had reluctantly sought out the human, standing under sufferance whilst Kaliska felt and probed her belly carefully.
In shock after that, she had staggered up here. She blinked, dragging her wings up, folding them against herself as she swung her head around, trying to catch his scent.

Cajmera
One might not expect a player to keep his word; one might, in fact, doubt that such characters even had one. However, Guilian was not most players.

Ever since that fateful day when he'd managed to truly tangle with a kalona, he had stayed in the gneral area. He hadn't been celibate, of course, but that hadn't been part of the agreement and so he felt no qualms about taking advantage of feminine company as the mood took him and the situation warranted...

But today, neither was the case. Today, he was enjoying the simpler pleasures; specifically, he was lounging quite peacably in a mossy hollow, nesting fresh roses into his mane and tail.

Yes, life was good...

Sayuri_Nitta
She could smell him now, his scent bringing up memories..pleasant ones. Izusa shook her head savagely to dislodge them and stomped onwards, finally coming across the stallion, who was looking quite the dandy, relaxed and tricked out in flowers;
'The thorns shall p***k you, and bleed you - but not enough to stop me from having that pleasure.' she said, the words coming out harshly.

The idea that their enjoyment had resulted in offspring had been a crazy thought - so she had supposed. But she was faced with the reality of her - their! situation. She was carrying his foals. And they would be half-breeds..

Cajmera
"I assure you, Chica, I know how to protect myself from thorns." The reply was absent, spoken with virtually no inflection; in fact, Guilian didn't even raise his head, interest focused almost exclusively on the flower he was fiddling with.

However, that disinterest lasted about as long as it took him to realize the significance of what was being said, or rather, who was speaking. Raising his head rapidly in surprise, taking in the mare's prescence and the angry twist of Izusa's face. Beyond that...

Perplexion was evident on the stallion's face for a long moment as he rose to his feet, looking at Izusa as though she had finally gone mad. "Chica, I'm not sure why you..."

He trailed off, eyes widening in disbelief as his new angle brought to light a distinct change in the mare's body shape; gone now was the lithe and lean form that had so intrigued him, and instead was a swollen and somewhat cumbersome looking belly that seemed all too reminiscent of...

"Chica, please tell me what's going on." He had a hunch, an terrifying hunch, but until he heard it, he could hope!

Sayuri_Nitta
'Do not "Chica" me!' she growled, her voice becoming louder, as she moved restlessly around, her tail lashing at each step, whipping out dangerously close to Guilian at each lash of the tendrils.

'You said this would not happen! I never, should have not let myself feel and now I have a belly full of your seed!' her wings trembled, anger running through her..fear as well, she was a first time mother after all and she had no idea what to expect.

Cajmera
She'd said it; said it and confirmed his fears, which at the moment even outweighed the fact he had a furious kalona seemingly intent on his blood. That was a less distressing than the realization that was washing over him like an icy wave.

A belly-full of his seed, huh? She was CARRYING HIS FOALS, something that had NEVER happened in the history of his debauching, and that had been quite some time. Not once had any of those unions resulted in offspring, so WHY now? Why?

Almost mechanically, he dodged away from the tendrils and lashings of the mare, an absently mullish and concerned expression on his face. "I don't understand. NEVER before has anything like this happened, and logically it should not have happened! There is no precedent, no reason, no NOTHING!"

How could this be happening to him?

Sayuri_Nitta
'Well it has..' she said firmly, in no mood for him to deny how she looked, or her condition. Did he think she had merely put on weight? He was just heaping pain upon pain, making her more furious with everything he was doing - and saying.

She blinked at his words - could he have said anything worse?
'I am NOT YOU!' she ground the words out between gritted teeth, a wing flashing close to his face, whipping it near him in her fury.
'I have not mated with anyone but you..'

Cajmera
"No one is saying you are me, Chica! I make no accusations, draw no defenses. I am merely baffled."

Dodging the wing yet again, Guilian began to pace, his own surprise and shock at the whole situation likely earning him no brownie points; then again, this was in a way as new to him as it was to her, only moreso!

However, now that the realization was starting to sink in, his old aura of charm and common sense were starting to make return appearances. Glancing at the kalona, he gave her a look both rueful and resigned. "You say you have known none but me; I KNOW you knew none before me, and I have no reason to doubt you, so I do not. But this is a novel thing for me, so please refrain from trying to kill me for my shock."

A reasonable request, right?

Sayuri_Nitta
'The accusation that the fault lay with me was in your saying it should never have happened!'
It was a good thing that Izusa was very lucid right now, his way with words might have confused her more then anything. She slapped the wing back, folding it so quickly that she inadvertantly hurt herself and she grimaced a little.
'If I killed you it would be sustenance for your children..' she sniped after listening to his pleadings. She sniffed the air.
'However, what you did to me back then twisted my insides..I could not, although I wish to.'
She backed up a little, tail still twitching like as though she was an infuriated feline.

Cajmera
Guilian didn't usually have a temper, but when his nerves were acting up as they were now a little bit of annoyance was probably entitled. "And it SHOULDN'T have happened, because it never has before and not through lack of opportunity! That doesn't change the fact that it DID happen, and since it DID happen..."

Fire danced in Guilian's black eyes, albeit briefly, before he realized just how ridiculous this particular arguement was. Shaking his head at his own behavior, he managed to give Izusa a wry smile. "So nice to know that you're thinking maternally, Chica, even though the details still leave a bit to be desired. And my thanks for your consideration; my spirit would weep were I unable to see my first ever foals."

He was starting to calm down now; put a bit of space and a little time out there, and he was fine. Shell-shocked, but fine.

Sayuri_Nitta
This was getting hurtful..and she knew hurt.
'So because it was me, it shouldnt have happened? I am such a nothing to you..spiky thing to do and discard.'
Izusa turned away from him, looking into the distance. Why did his shock hurt so bad? It was hard enough for her to know that she was carrying his children but his reaction was difficult to bear.
'Are you sure you have a spirit..' she muttered.
'You should have been a Kalona.' she injected an amount of the emotion she always kept hidden away; if she was going to do this mothering crap, he had to do the fathering stuff as well, and she knew he would feel guilt if she sounded wounded enough.

Cajmera
"It shouldn't have happened because it has never happened before, Chica! It doesn't matter if you're horned and spiky or wingless or fluffy and pink, a kalona, a unicorn, or a cuttlefish!" She was missing the point, and this was insane enough without adding confusion to the mix. But something far back in his mind, something he'd once heard about pregancy and hormones, was nagging at him. Maybe he should just calm down.

Taking a deep breath, he exhaled it rather pointedly, willing himself to calm down. All this was accomplishing was...well, nothing, to be frank.

But he certainly felt better. Or at least, sort of; her words were a bit unsettling, but he'd deal with that as best he could.

Smiling a bit, he stepped forward, taking the chance that she WOULDN'T try to kill him as he moved beside her and gently, gently nuzzled her stomach. "Never to discard, Chica. I am still here, am I not? Though I suppose that I'll have to get used to being around here, for if we are to be parents then these foals will need their father. Who else is to teach them how to handle the trials of the world?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'Something not happening before does not mean that it will never happen. I have never before thought I would roll around with a feathery winged stallion..' Izusa said dryly, tired of trying to argue that particular point with him. Did he think it was her fault? He kept going on about how 'it had never happened before!'. She rolled her eyes before turning to face him once again.
She let out a long warning noise as he approached her, her body stiffening, unsure as to what exactly he was about to do.
'Teach them what? How to find their place in the world when they are neither one nor the other?' her ears went flat.
'I did not ask for this..' she muttered, still freaked out by the whole thing herself.

Cajmera
And he had? Hardly; children meant a commitment to one place, to keeping another fed and watched and provided for...and a distinct wrench in his lifestyle.

On the other hoof, though, he knew that many mares were attracted to the virile sort, and with a child or two, no one would ever doubt his virility! Not that they had ever had of course, but this could always be considered a bonus.

Having kids might not be so bad, really; getting to influence little minds, shape beliefs...and he was CERTAIN that any child of his would be gorgeous, which was another plus.

All of these things passed through his mind as he listened to Izusa, his cheek still resting against her belly. She didn't sound too delighted either, but then...

"Not one nor the other, but both, Chica, and the best of both. There's no reason for them to not take advantage of that. And we will manage; I have supreme confidence in our ability to previal. We had our fun, now have to handle the consequences?"

That sounded very...mature.

Sayuri_Nitta
'No more mares for you.' Izusa suddenly said, having been lulled into almost a placid state by the gentle nuzzling to her heavy belly. Inside the foals shifted, causing her discomfort.
'You had your fun I seem to recall..' was her biting reply to his latter words.
'I can hardly dodge this responsibilty after all - they are inside me, not you.'
Her tail twitched as she felt the ire rise inside her. She let out a calming breath; well one designed to calm at least. If she tore him up then he would not be around to carry his share of this burden and she would be damned if she was doing this on her own. She had an idea that foals werent exactly easy to raise.

Cajmera
Guilian started, the sudden comment coming so close on the heels of his thoughts that for a wild second he was wondering whether or not she was reading his mind. However, that thought was quickly disregarded; kalonas couldn't read minds!

She was probably just being hormonal. That happened when mares were pregnant right? Or maybe it was a kalona thing. Perhaps he should ask Ariston the next time he saw the Sin stallion whether or not kalona mares were at all odd in pregnancy; somehow, he felt that having that information would be useful.

For now, though, he could at least try to enjoy the moment; after all, it's not everyday you are about to be a father!

So leaving his cheek against Izusa's stomach, he gave another nuzzle, murmuring reassuringly. "As I recall, Chica, we BOTH had fun, so there's no need to be so bitter. Truly, you have to carry them, but as I shall be around for the duration, I shall be doing my best to comfort you."

Actually, that reminded him... "Are you tired? Would you like to lie down, Chica, or perhaps have something to eat? Or drink?" Perhaos that was the root of her crankiness?

Sayuri_Nitta
Why did he continue to nuzzle her? It was a sensitive spot, moreover she was enjoying the tactile sensation of his head against her rounded belly;
'You try carrying these..' she said, her anger tempered for now by his ministrations.
'I'm not sure what you think you can do to comfort me.' she slowly folded her legs, lowering herself carefully down, but her tail splayed out beside her, the tendrils catching around his legs. He was going nowhere.
'And what about after I birth them? I am sure roses will skip far away.' Izusa grumbled a little, fanning her sides with her wings.

Cajmera
"No, but just because I don't carry them doesn't mean I cannot feel for them, Chica." Especially if she was determined to make him suffer for her discomfort, though the last thing he planned on doing was mentioning that to her and giving her ideas!

It appeared that she was calming down now, at any rate; and a calm Izusa was much better than an irate Izusa. Probably better for she herself, really, and the foals.

However, there was still more that needed to be said, and from the look of his snared limbs, he had plenty of time to say it. So he settled down on the ground as well, right next to Izusa so that she was right up against his side.

"First of all, Chica, I do not skip. Skipping is a ridiculous and cumbersome mode of transport, and even I have my dignity there. Secondly, I will not abandon my own children; there is such a thing as responsibility, after all, and I will provide that."

As he spoke, the stallion had moved his head so that he could gently nuzzle her, having determined from past experience that such actions had a habit of sedating mares when agitated. And she was still agitated, not to mention gripping his leg rather firmly.

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa snorted;
'As you say.' she replied, her wings still slowly fanning her heated sides. She shifted herself a little as the way she was resting pushed on her bump in an uncomfortable manner.
She bridled a little; her tail unwrapping from his limbs before he lay down and crushed the tendrils, her whole body stiffening with his proximity.
'Literal skipping was not what I meant.' she could almost have laughed at that! Now who was addlepated?
'Prove it how?' she asked, trying not to let his words and touching get to her, but in her current state of hormonal distress, she veered from extremely belligerent..to downright evil and then to a state of lust or need.

Cajmera
"I'm still here now, aren't I? Braving the anger of a raging yet beautiful kalona has to count for something." Continuing with his gentle nuzzling, Guilian kept both his words and his tone light, unsure of what might provoke her but determined to keep his senses about him. No false senses of security here, thanks much!

"And so you say, Chica, but maybe you've decided I'm so inferior that I actually skip! It's always a possibility, so I must considerate it serious. As for the providing..." Well, that was a harder question. He wasn't exactly sure what that even all entailed, to be honest.

"We'll figure that out as we need to." A good enough answer, at least for the time being.

Sayuri_Nitta
'But I know you court danger my roses. You courted me after all.'
Izusa reached around, her mane falling to one side as her neck arched. She nipped him swiftly, enough to cause a small amount of pain but not to break the skin. Even though the thought of his blood swimming on her tongue gave her a small pang of longing.
'I think roses needs to prove himself now. He planted the garden, he must tend it. Diligently. And other gardens must be neglected.'
She spoke to the air more to him, but she knew he would understand perfectly well.

Cajmera
Last time he'd felt her teeth on him, he'd gotten a few other side benefits; even the thought of those side benefits made him sigh, wondering as he was if he'd ever get to experience them again with her. A bit rough she was, but there were times when gentleness was overrated...

Not all the time, though, and consequently her words made him almost visibly wince. She didn't ask for much, did she? Get one mare pregnant, and all of a sudden she seems to think you're her's to order about.

Still...

"Considering I only have one garden, it should be easy to tend, no?"

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa smirked unseen, having turned her head away again.
'If you say so roses. I imagine you wish me to believe those words of yours?' she rested her wings, folding them by her sides and let out a long breath.
'I remember what you spoke of when we first met. Did you think that because I sometimes drift from the world in my mind that I wouldnt?'

Cajmera
Watching Izusa, Guilian smiled slightly himself. She was so strange at times, yet at others, she was so very like some other mares he knew of. How small the world truly was!

"There is nothing to disbelieve, Chica; a garden is only a garden if it's producing, after all, and you are my only garden in the truest sense of the word. And I would never impugn your memories, Chica; to assume that another forgets is to take risks that are far from necessary."

And he hated that kind of risk!

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa knew her words were reeking of insecurities, of the attachment in her heart that had grown but that shouldnt have enough started for the Casanova. She couldnt help what she said though; her hormones were playing merry hell with her everything and despite her threats it would take alot for her to harm the stallion whose foals she carried.
'And you claimed to like taking a risk in life.' she tapped him lightly with her wing edge and she moved, shifting so that she could face him without craning her neck.

Cajmera
"Ah, but there is a difference between justified risk and non-justified risk, Chica. For example..."

As Izusa shifted, Guilian shifted as well, moving to gently drape one wing over her back in a somewhat proprietary fashion. As he spoke, his eyelids lowered slightly, as did his voice, creating a perfect image of Guilian-style seduction. "Romancing you was a justified risk, Chica. You were dangerous; even without the additional facts you are a kalona, you reeked of danger. But besides that, there was something else; there was a muted vulnerability, and beyond that was a passionate soul that promised so much, should I just be able to reach it...which I did."

Guilian's smile had turned smug and slightly daydreamy, remembering how very well justified that risk was; but the mental note that he was supposed to be making a point brought him back to the here and now. In a more normal tone of voice, he gave her a wink. "Upsetting you would serve no purpose, even were I to avoid the risk of being killed. Therefore...it isn't justified."

Perfect reasoning!

Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa stiffened again, the wing he draped on her sending a shiver along her spine - longing? The fear of what she might reveal when he became gentle with her.
'There are layers, and layers...and there is a part of me even I do not know. You did not reach it all..'
But you might she thought, her mind confused again. The foals moved again and she winced as one kicked against her sides.
'Pain..needs no justification.' she managed, and she levered herself up slowly, getting up onto slightly stiff legs.
'There is only danger for those who would threaten what small happiness I believe I should allow myself.'

Cajmera
"And I probably never could, Chica, but we Soquili should all be like that. Where's the fun if we all know everything about everyone else?"

When Izusa got up, Guilian pondered for a moment whether or not it was worth it to get up again; however, if he kept shifting every time she did, he'd wind up worn out in no time.

So he remained reclining, watching Izusa with mild amusement. "You know, you're never going to get rested if you keep doing that, Chica."

Sayuri_Nitta
'You try being kicked from inside you. It doesnt make for a comfortable time.' she groused a little, her tail starting to lash a little as the discomfort and hormones swung her towards 'b***h' again.
'I need a drink.' Izusa sniffed the air. She knew there was a stream not far away.
'I shall find you again I'm sure. Or you might like to stay where I can find you. Alone..' she stepped away a few paces, looking at him steadily.

Cajmera
Well, that was a sign at least. A sign that this meeting was over, which meant he had time to mull. Not always a good thing, but sometimes necessary.

Deliberately ignoring the thinly veiled threats, Guilian simply nodded his head. "I don't doubt we shall see a great deal of each other in the next few weeks, Chica; until next time, take care."

And hopefully he would as well.

Infidelities?

Cajmera
Sometimes, things had a habit of sneaking up and surprising you. Even those that thought they had seen in all, that felt they could manage any situation, could very easily find themselves thrown a curveball from time to time.

Guilian still couldn't quite believe it; considering how many mares he'd known over the years without issue, he'd started to think that he might just be sterile. Granted, that was hardly a problem; he'd never been paternal nor desired a family, so sterility was hardly an issue. He'd just taken it for granted that he could love, then leave...

And then Izusa-Chica had come along with her stretched stomach and pointed accusations, identifying him as the father of her unborn children.

He didn't want to believe her; logically, the chance of him having children after this long seemed far-fetched. But he ALSO knew that she hadn't known any other stallions before him, and given how big she was and how long it'd been, she would have had to have had another rigth away AFTER him, something she flatly denied. And even though she was a kalona...he believed her.

However, that wasn't exactly a positive. Even after she'd worked through her anger with him their last meeting, the mare's behavior was far from reassuring. She had been slightly out of it, but in both lucid and clouded moments she had been clear about one thing: that he give up his other mares.

Which was, of course, ludicrous. He was not going to abandon her, nor his children; but he was also NOT going to tie himself down (or rather, deny himself, given Izusa's pregnancy) when one of the first things he ever let his paramours know was that they were not exclusive.

She was hormonal, that was all; as soon as she had calmed down some more, she'd realize how silly she was being. There was nothing wrong with him enjoying himself with others, as long as he was there when she needed him. End of story.

In fact, that was the reason he was STILL in this area; Izusa wanted him relatively close if she needed him, so he had managed to hang around in one place (one large place, but still one place!). Which was a major drag, actually, as the amount of females in this region was pitifully small. In fact, he hadn't so much as seen another since his reunion with Izusa...

Talencia
Luca was quite honestly out on a search. It had been quite some time since her meeting with the dashing red stallion, and she could never quite get him out of her mind. So now that sufficient time had passed for her to not appear too demanding (for some stallions might call her that, given her... appetite) she now had come looking for him.

He wasn't terribly hard to track. Very few soquili could avoid noticing his flashy red hide, his beguiling quick smile, and his amorous ways. It took very little asking around to hear where he was currently haunting. There were other, darker mutterings that often occured after she had turned away, but she was not one for gossip, and paid them no heed.

So it came to be that the purple mare was strolling through the area, wind blowing her curling mane back in a delicious way. She lifted her chin and closed her eyes, still taking slow, deliberate steps down the pathway. The breeze felt wonderful, brushing past her hide to tug teasingly on her mane. It almost made her feel like she had wings, but without the heavy, awkward feeling she imagined real wings would have. She much preferred these pseudo-wings the wind gave her. She could almost feel her hooves beginning to tread lighter on the path, as if she were being swept upwards...

And then the wind brought her the scent of her lover. Her eyes snapped open and she stopped in mid-step, ears pricked forwards. Yes, she definitely could smell Guilian! With an eager click of her teeth together, she resumed her walk, but with more of a sway to her hips. Her lashes lowered smokily and her chin tucked so that her neck arched prettily. He wasn't likely to be hard to convince, but she enjoyed his appreciation of her wiles.

Cajmera
Pursing his lips slightly, Guilian gave his reflection a final once over before he finally turned away from the small pond he'd been staring at; he'd been mulling about this ever since he'd found out a few days ago, and with that mulling came a rather mulish expression that, once he realized he was adopting, put him off a great deal. Frowns could be pouty and playful, but this one was only going to get him wrinkles.

However, a critical analyisis of his reflection had yielded no such thing, much to his relief. That would be all he needed, on top of everything else!

As he turned away from the water, first and foremost on his mind had been a ponderance about what to do with his afternoon...

A question that suddenly seemed to have an answer.

Raising his head, Guilian scented the air once, twice; then one ear flicked slightly, as though listening for something. Which indeed he was; footsteps. Light, graceful footsteps, to be exact; the footsteps of a mare.

Smiling in a VERY pleased fashion, Guilian turned to look in the direction the sounds indicated. Maybe this afternoon wouldn't be so long anyway...

Talencia
In prime saunter, Luca broke from the trees into a burst of brilliant sunshine, not far from a pond and... With a flutter of her lashes, Luca put a surprised, wide-eyed look on her face. "Why, Guilian! What a pleasant coincidence! I was just thinking about you." Her tone was low and lilting, soft as the touch of a petal, and suggesting much more than just having thought about him.

She picked her way daintily to him, swaying her hips and rotating her shoulders appealingly. She let the breeze play with her hair, tossing it to and fro into a violet froth. Deep in her chest she whickered welcomingly to him as she drew near and nuzzled from his shoulder up his neck, lightly nipping the underside of his jaw when she reached that point. "How nice to see you," she murmured.

Cajmera
It was even better than he could have hoped; like something out of a dream, Guilian got to witness Luca stepping forward from the trees, as lovely and arousing a vision as she'd been the first time he'd ever laid eyes on her. The difference between then and now, though, was that then he hadn't been in acute withdrawal as he was now, and he hadn't known how very accomodating she was.

And obviously the feeling was mutual, since the last time they'd met, she hadn't been anywhere near so bold. Lowering his eyelids slightly, Guilian smiled at the playful nuzzling, a pleased sound indicating what he thought of that. However, never one to leave all the moves to a mare, he returned the 'greeting', running his muzzle gently along the curve of her jaw and nipping at her throat before lifting his head to look her in the eyes.

"I could say the same, Luca-Chica; it has been far too long since I've enjoyed the pleasure of your company." The low, husky tone of his voice and the way he ran his gaze over her body as he spoke were indicators of what he meant, even if his rather blatant words were not. "Tis a pleasure to see you again, to be sure..."

Talencia
She shivered a thrill at his touch, her eye sliding closed as she tipped her head to the side to better allow herself to be caressed. Other stallions there might be, but this red cardinal was in a league all his own. His every move, every sound, even his very scent, drove her to distraction and a swiftly rising feeling of ecstacy. She was the center of his world when his eyes were upon her, and she reveled in it. It didn't much matter to her that the center of his world changed as often as the wind changed direction. No, just so long as she could enjoy that all-engulfing focus and let herself drown in his affection, at least once in a while.... she was content.

She sidled over closer to him, rumbling deep in her chest the clear invitation and interest. There was very little need for her to be wooed or convinced, considering she sought him out. Even less was needed, with his suave ways and enticing attributes. Ah yes, he was a little piece of heaven tossed down in the world for the likes of her to enjoy. And she took full advantage of it, and him.

Cajmera
Guilian had always prided himself on his finesse, prided himself on the way that he could make every one of 'his' mares respond and react to his very thoughts. However, with Luca he didn't even have to think them; she was right there with him, her desires and intentions every bit as evident as his own. How he loved this...not having to spend time on details when her very appearance had made him react so strongly.

And never let it be said that he EVER left a mare in need.

"How I missed you, Luca-Chica, how I missed you indeed..."

~~~Fade to black~~~
Sayuri_Nitta
There came a small noise, a soft uttering from the shadows...Out from the brush, the trees she emerged, her teeth flashing, bared as beheld the sight before her.
'Does she taste sweet!' Izusa roared at Guilian before turning her steely gaze on the female, the sudden loud noise uttered in a way to jump hearts and hurt ears.
'I'll have your blood you curled mare.' she snapped, wings spread wide as she circled, looking at them both, sides heaving with fury, the scent of them both heavy in her nostrils - the mares especially feeding the fire within.
'Your flesh to rip..your life is mine!' she reared, not high for the extra weight didnt allow it, and her hooves thudded hard into the ground as her tail whipped, scourging the air.
Cajmera
How very swiftly the pleasures of life could be dashed to dirt. Luca had been wonderful, her passion as intense as his own and that in turn feeding his to greater life; but there was no chance to bask in that pleasure, or even to so much as get himself collected again before the lnguidity of the situation was broken in the most unexpected way imaginable.
On the one hand, it was probably decent timing; had Izusa made her appearance a bit earlier, he would have been frustrated beyond all reasonable belief; instead, he was merely...
Actually, there was no 'merely' about it. She was furious, furious in a way he couldn't recall EVER seeing her. Given what he'd been up to, his desire at the moment was to simply relax and enjoy the feeling of satiation...but obviously that wasn't a possibility.
One thing was certain; he wasn't going to let Izusa get near Luca. As the kalona mare circled them, her rage and fury evident on her face, he did his best to placate her. "Chica, you are overreacting. Did I not tell you how hard what you asked of me is? How long it has been, how much I was in need? You have NO reason to be so affronted, and there is no reason to be upset!"
Talencia
Luca gave a deep sigh of contentment shortly after the kalona mare had burst upon them. She turned her half-lidded blue eyes towards the other mare in a rather mild expression. It was hard to stir the purple mare from her state of repletion, even for something so clearly dangerous. There was even still a quirk of her mouth that showed just how pleasurable the experience had been, not wiped from her face by the entrance of the other mare.
Quite mildly, she took in the snapping teeth, the pounding hooves, the lashing tails... and the very rounded belly. Ah.... hopped up on hormones, apparently. She gave the kalona a slow smile and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't really see how my life is forfiet because you can't get any, my dear," she drawled softly, the quirk of a smile growing more. Unfortunately, a satiated Luca was akin to a human on drugs. She honestly didn't care that danger stared her in the face, seeking her blood. Instead, she just watched the mare circle, amusement and that unshakable contentment clear in every slow and gentle movement of her purple body.
Sayuri_Nitta
'Enough!' she snapped out at Guilian.
'Do not bleat at me, pathetic worm that cannot control himself.' she came closer, a wing slicing through the air, the talons on it flashing close to his eyes.
Her gaze flashed towards the mare when she spoke;
'Your life is mine when you consort with the father of my children, putrid bag of flesh, poor excuse for a Soquili.'
She didnt care for the state of the mare, her anger would have been as great if they had not just joined.
'Move Guilian..' she hissed through gritted teeth, her tail hitting the ground hard enough to make the dirt fly.
'I will only ask you the once.' she ground the words out.
'You want to feel pain? Stand your guard...and I will give you it.'
Cajmera
Ah but Luca was a sensual dream...even in the face of danger, she maintained the self-same air of calm, cool collection. If it weren't for the fact that now was DEFINITELY not a time for that, Guilian could likely have enjoyed at LEAST a few more hours with her...but what was fine when they were alone was much less so when they weren't.
Lifting a wing, Guilian moved it to rest between Luca and Izusa, attempting to force Luca back farther. He'd never seen a truly angry kalona, but there was nothing about Izusa's current state that seemed ready to belie any of what he'd ever heard about kalonas.
Tilting his head back to glance at Luca, he whispered softly, "I don't think that you're helping the situation by provoking her, Chica. In fact..." Glancing quickly back at Izusa and her ultimatum, he was soon looking back at Luca again. "It might be best were you to simply run."
Then he was turning to look Isuza squarely in the eyes, his chin raised slightly and his voice level. "You I can't do that, Chica...and I'd hope that by now, you'd know why."
A womanizer he might be, but he wasn't a cad and there was no way he was going to simply step aside and let another suffer because of him; not if he could help it!
Talencia
Luca frowned as Guilian and this kalona mare spoke. She frowned more as the other mare accused the red stallion of being unable to control himself. As if she was a prime example of self control! Her ears tipped backwards and her nostrils flared in a snorting huff.
But then when it was announced to her that Guilian was the father of this wild thing's unborn spawn, she unexpectedly broke into a laugh, eyes dancing with sudden intense amusement. Her hooves even danced in place for a few steps before she stretched to n** Guilian smartly. "Finally caught up with you, did it? And in such a fashion!" She threw a laughing look at the furious mare. "Ah, you have caught him fair and square, sister. I wasn't aware he was taken."
She said this with a teasing smirk at Guilian, communicating that she knew he couldn't be caught by such flimsy ties as accidental offspring. But the imp in her couldn't help but be amused by the difficult situation the suave stallion had gotten himself into. "He's all yours, honey," she drawled, her smirk returned four-fold. "Though he's a handful, I can tell you. Good luck keeping him in check."
With a wink and a sultry shrug of her shoulder, she turned and began to saunter back towards the trees, her step light but deliberate, her tail swishing spiritedly behind her.
Sayuri_Nitta
'Taken and bound whether he likes it or not,' Izusa retorted with a sharp snap, her wings flashing across and near Guilian's face as he prevented her from getting to the mare. She ground her teeth as she watched the disgusting sight of the mare mincing away...she knew her sight and scent, she would get her later when Guilian was not around.
She turned abruptly, her tail lashing out as she moved, intent on catching the wretched, impulse driven stallion with a vicious biting whip across his chest.
'You want to cause me pain dont you? You like driving the blade and twisting it,' she hissed at him.
Cajmera
Used as he was to dodging attacks from angry males, Guilian was not completely able to avoid the stinging lash of Izusa's tail; thought it didn't catch his chest, it DID slash across one shoulder. Hissing slightly, he could almost feel the welt raising up and the pricks of blood where the skin had been broken.
Moving to cover the wounded shoulder with the opposite side's wing, Guilian returned the mares ferocious expression with a dark look of his own. Never mind that she was a kalona and very angry; HE was a somewhat sexually frustrated male, and that was hardly a pleasant state of mind to be in.
So his tone was much sharper than before when he replied to the mare, stepping away so that he'd have more time to react if she tried to attack him again. "I twist no knives, Chica; if you were hurt by what you came upon, then you have no one to blame but yourself for witnessing it! And what are you even DOING here, Chica?"
After all, he'd left her a decent two and a half hour's walk away! Close enough that he could get back to her easily, but definitely not a pleasure stroll for one in her condition.
Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa brought the tip of her tail to her mouth, tasting his blood as she looked at him through slitted eyes. Wounding him had caused a pang in her own heart and she slotted the visual image of catching him en flagrante in order to keep the fire burning and not to relent.
'No..you dont get to turn this on me! You want to make others the same as me, want to see whether you can plant more gardens.' she growled.
'And where does that leave me if you do! The one walking away..'
The one he had not saved, she would get her yet, the thought of the mares blood nourishing her foals gave her a shiver of pleasure and she was momentarily sidetracked.
'I was looking for you.' she said coldly.
'Our foals have not moved inside me at all today. But do not let me get between you and your pleasures when the little lives might be in trouble.' she snapped her wings against herself and slowly moved away, bristling with fury.
Cajmera
"It leaves you where you are, Chica. Regardless of how many foals I father, I will not abandon any of them."
Now he was just annoyed. He had NOT done anything wrong, he had no reason to be ashamed, and every reason to be upset. His one brief interlude with Luca would tide him over for a bit, but since Izusa's arrival had denied him anything beyond the bare minimum he knew he'd have to go hunting again before too many more days had passed; and the idea of Izusa interrupting him AGAIN with threats of bloodshed was far from pleasant.
"Besides that, I have known Luca Chica far longer than I have known you, Izusa Chica, and in case you couldn't tell, she has no foals. If anything, she should be the one mad at you, but she wasn't!"
And now she was walking away. First she interrupts him and threatens him, then she walks away? Oh no, not this time.
Scowling, he stalked after the mare, rapidly closing the distance and cutting her off. "Izusa-"
Then, sighing, he cut himself off. She was worried, with good reason; why SHOULDN'T she try to find him in this sort of situation? She had definitley reacted badly, but she WAS hormonal and on edge. That in mind, he managed to brighten both his face and tone before trying again.
"I am sorry I wasn't around when you were looking for me, Izusa-Chica, but I am confused about the problem. The foals are supposed to move?" He didn't know that. He thought they just...grew.
Sayuri_Nitta
'That is because she knew she was wrong, whereas you have not that understanding.'
Izusa looked up as Guilian cut before her and scowled.
'What? What do you want now? Have you not hurt me enough for the night? Roses pricks at me with his thorns..wants me to bleed, bleed it all.'
She stared at him as if he had asked if the trees were meant to be the way up they were or if blue was the right colour for the sky!
'Yes..' she hissed through extremely gritted teeth, her tail lashing like a cat. She held it down, trying to refrain from striking him again.
'They have been moving for days on end. Every day since they started making themselves known. But they stopped - and I am worried. This is my first time. Yzma, my familiar, she looks after me. She said I should relax and try not to get upset about anything.' she looked away from Guilian.
Cajmera
Not get upset about things. Right. And while she was at it, she should metamorphosize into a cute bunny rabbit. Not get upset indeed; whoever that Yzma was, it was a foolish individual.
Still, the news that something was wrong was disconcerting to the stallion, and could plausibly justify his new testiness as he replied to the mare. "Well, if it's your first time it's also mine, Chica, and I can't say I'm exactly familiar with how things are supposed to be." As he spoke, he had moved to rest his cheek against Izusa's stomach, frowning a bit in concentration as he tried to feel movement. Had their been movement LAST time?
Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa stepped to the side when he rested his head on her belly. It was too much, too tender an expression after what she had seen, how he had acted after she had caught him.
'They should move.' she reinforced in an icy tone.
'If you dont give a damn about my feelings, at least about your children. You hurt me, you affect them.'
She stepped away again. What she was; the anger came naturally. What he was...she had compared him to a Kalona once, and once more she felt the comparison wasnt far off the mark. She needed to leave - she felt exposed, and scared.
Cajmera
So much for him trying to be nice. A brief look of offense flashed past Guilian's eyes, then he was sighing and once again moving past the mare. "You assume too much, Chica; just because I fail to embrace your idealized path doesn't mean I don't care. I care about both you AND my foals, which is why I devoutly wish you'd stop trying to assume otherwise!"
Children were a headache, alright; and some people actually WANTED them! That was what most baffled Guilian, at least lately. "I am concerned. I want you all to be healthy. That doesn't mean I know what's right for them, or for you at this point, or that I do anything for the sole purpose of spiting you. Just the opposite, in fact."
It was quick simple, honestly. When he was denied his pleasure, he got increasingly short-tempered and unpleasant, to say nothing of tense and frustrated. Not a good state to be in, especially not for one as (usually) good natured as he!
Sayuri_Nitta
'What you express towards me even now doesnt invoke feelings of compassion. In any way.' Izusa bared her teeth. If he stopped her from leaving again..well she wasnt sure she could restrain herself from attacking him.
'Then stop. I've told you what hurts me. I've told you again and again. I am carrying your children for Kalona's sake. Concede, for at least little while for my health, as much as theirs..' she was frustrated that she'd pleaded to him but she needed to leave and he wasnt letting her.
Cajmera
There was just no reasoning with a pregnant mare! No matter HOW logically you explained yourself, you always were made out to be the problem. If THAT wasn't a frustrating state of affairs, then he frankly had no idea what one would be.
"To say such things are a trial is an understatement indeed, Chica." And as he spoke, his voice all but dripped with sarcasm. "However, I will do what I can."
And coming from him, that was really saying something. However, he wasn't in any mood now to quibble about what he meant specifically, so rather than push it any more he gave Izusa a slight bow. "And now I shall take my leave, Chica; if it is rest you need, I doubt my continued presence would be any help."
With that, he bowed once more, then stalked off.
Not another mare!?
Sayuri_Nitta
If Izusa could tear the eyes from her head she thought that she would. For they only ever seemed to cause her painful stress lately. Tight breath inwards..or maybe it was the extra weight she was carrying? It seemed to have grown these past days, her appetite growing, the belly swinging lower.
As she meandered along, she'd seen first the flash of crimson, then his scent followed closely. And then she registered the two..the second scent - yet another damn female! Her wings shook as she tried to suppress her anger; she didnt really want to get overheated once more, Yzma had said there was a chance that it would send her into early labour.
She bit her lower lip, piercing the skin until it bleed and moved with firm steps, out and round in front of the cuddling pair, only looking up when she was facing them, sending a cold look to both of them, her gaze locking onto Guilian.
Infinities
Echo leaned into him gratefully, teeth chattering together. "Guilian help." she muttered, and gave him a faint smile. Ugg, she really didn't know whether to be grateful to him or not. He'd both brought her conversation, and he'd also, however accidentally, been the instrument of her current discomfort.
The scent of another made her head go up, nostrils flaring, pulling in the scent, a mere moment before the other female stepped out in front of them. She smelled blood. Danger. As the female stepped into sight, she blinked. It was a beautiful mare, but she had the teeth of a predator, and strong wings like those of a bat. And her tail was very eerie, and....
Okay, Echo was creeped out.
And with the way she was looking at Guilian, Echo decided it might be in her best interests to step away from him.
Cajmera
Even if he HADN'T noticed Izusa's arrival (which would have, frankly, been impossible), there was no way he would have missed Echo moving away. Probably a smart move on her part...
Unlike the last time he'd encountered Izusa while in the prescence of another, there wasn't anything remotely compromising about his current state. Naturally, it was a little depressing that he hadn't been able to lay a bit more groundwork, but all things condsidered this had been a successful meeting.
Consequently, there wasn't even a hint of petulance or annoyance in the stallion's expression as he greeted the new arrival. "Good afternoon, Izusa-Chica. I see that the foals aren't giving you much trouble today, for you are out and walking about. Are you feeling well? Do you need something?"
However, THIS time he wasn't going to help create any impressions. Glancing at Echo, he gestured neatly at Izusa. "Echo-chica, this is Izusa; Izusa-Chica, this is Echo. She's a bit waterlogged and chilled from drowsing under a rock in the water, so I kindly offered her my wing to dry off with. Echo, Izusa-chica is, as you can likely tell, carrying foals. My foals, specifically."
There! A nice intro all around.
Sayuri_Nitta
Izusa licked the blood away, the coppery taste lingering on her tongue for a moment. She eyed him severely before looking at the limp looking mare at his side. What was his fascination with mares that looked like primped-up show offs? Another one with curled mane and tail.
'She has her own wings.' she commented in a dry voice.
'And she doesnt look like a helpless foal - although appearances are often very decieving.'
She had managed to keep her voice deceptively level, Guilian would been thrown she knew.
'My foals are fine.' she replied, still cast icy glances at the mare.
'It is soon.' she winced, as the once more active foals moved around energetically.
Infinities
Echo's eyes lit up with understanding, and she couldn't stop the accusing look she gave Guilian. Really, leaving his mate all alone to go put FLOWERS in his mane, and then being so very kind and generous as to stay and give her company... no wonder the other mare was upset. "Guilian and Izusa babies?" She smiled. Congratulations, she'd say, if she could. But right now the mare looked to be in almost pain. "Echo has own wings, yes. Echo cold, Echo waterlogged. Guilian help warm up." she shivered again, to make her point.
As Izusa winced, Echo instinctively took a step forward, but danced back, also by instinct, not to get close to this mare with the perfect teeth to bite and cause much pain. "Izusa un-fine. Babies bite?" Or maybe the babies were waterlogged too, from being inside their mother.
Cajmera
"Her wings are wet as well, Izusa-Chica, so they are hardly suited to keep warm with. And yes, Echo-Chica, they are our babies."
Obvious questions aside, Guilian was actually a bit surprised at how this was working out. Izusa was shooting looks venomous enough to stun a buffalo, true; but considering the violence she'd exhibited last time, he couldn't believe she was being so...restrained.
Maybe all that he'd been saying had FINALLY sunk in.
And speaking of sinking in...
"Soon? You mean the birth, Chica?" How soon was 'soon', anyway?
Sayuri_Nitta
'Izusa is carrying 3 heavy foals.' she said, speaking for the simpleton mare, well she took her for being so given how she was currently speaking.
'They kick my insides. And then I find their father with another mare.' she snorted loudly, still showing considerable restraint. Or was there something else? A flood of hormones...
'Yes,' she replied to Guilian, her tail twitching a little.
'Days..hours even. I thought you would want to know.' her voice was heavily peppered with sarcasm.
'I'll leave you to your...little acts of charity.'
She turned on her hooves.
Infinities
Three? Echo made a face. How was the mare not popped? Goodness gracious, should she even be walking around? She remained silent and in place, watching the mare turn with naught but a dip of her head as a goodbye. The mare was expecting to drop foals in mere hours, would she not need their father by her side? Why was she leaving him?
Echo certainly wouldn't be that generous.
But this also wasn't about her, and so she remained quiet, tail twitching uncomfortably.
Cajmera
Just when you thought you had someone figured out, they went and threw you a curveball. Even though he hadn't been doing anything wrong, Guilian could tell that Izusa was annoyed with him. Nothing new there. But for her to be annoyed at him and not DO anything about it? Oy, he was NEVER going to get anyone pregnant ever again ><
At least, if he could possibly help it. Short of the obvious and unpleasant way.
As Izusa moved off, Guilian sighed and ran a wing over his face. So the birth was imminant, was it? Well, that meant a few things, honestly, and hopefully they'd be mostly good. Maybe Izusa's mood swings would dissipate with the birthing, but until then...
Shaking his head, he gave Echo a wry smile. "Now the fun begins, Chica. Izusa-Chica already wants to kill me for getting her in this state at all, so I am faced with two options. Option one, I go and keep her company while she gives birth; I have no experience with that and could be of no use, yet I am also told that mares in labor can be quite hostile and Izusa-Chica already wants to kill me, thus going to her would put my life in danger; on the other hand, I could just leave her to the ministrations of her much more experienced Yzma, whoever that is..."
Honestly, the second option sounded a LOT nicer to him.
Glancing back at Echo, he sighed again. "A word of advice, Chica; never, if you can help it, conceive foals with one that is neither your mate nor your intended life partner. It just makes things complicated." To put it mildly!
'Do you think I'll remember their names? Their faces?' Dory looked over and across the water from the cave entrance. Squishy shrugged her small shoulders and stood next to the mare, watching the wavelets scurry past the stones where they were standing.
'That's up to you. You remembered Swafi's name didnt you?'
Dory nodded, glancing over her shoulder at the three baskets, just visible in the gloom, their precious contents all quiet for the moment.
'Then it should be the same thing. You should give yourself more credit. And not worry too much. After all, there might be a point when you wish you could forget them. Kids being what they are.' the vixen chuckled a little.
'I dont think I'll want to do that. Besides, it isnt like I have control over what I remember.'
Dory flicked her stubby tail, letting out a sigh.
'I hope Swafi comes by soon. I miss him. And he needs to see the baskets.'
The mare turned away from the view and back inside the cave, lowering herself down near the baskets and nudging them close to herself. Now that she was seated near them she could hear the tiny sounds of the lives within; the snuffles and the scraping noises as they moved inside. Squishy slipped out of the cave, Dory hadnt eaten anything since giving birth and she would find something that she could easily carry for the mare.
