I've been doing some research as to these random logouts from the Gaia website and I may have a possible explanation at to why it is happening.
I've found that this is actually a defense that Gaia has to stop hackers. This usually happens when you are switching accounts often but it has been known to happen at random too.
Basically Gaia states in it's TOS that it will not track people through their IP addresses sooo to get around that they instead use a cookie grabber. When you get kicked off the website and log back in it's actually a cookie, the point of this was to track hackers that may be using multiple accounts to hack/transfer gold and items etc. When gaia sees that there is a possible link between these accounts they do what is called a 'chain banning' which means they ban all the accounts that were recently logged into to stop the hacker cold in their tracks.
This does not mean that you shouldn't be weary, still check the address bar to make sure it is still a part of the Gaia website and don't freak out and think that you are going to get banned. If you haven't done anything suspicious you'll be fine.

It's kinda sad.

I have to agree with The Only Lady Amalthea, its not just firefox user's. It can also happen on Internet explore users.. Yesterday it happen to me also in the morning, which kinda sucked because at that same time I started having problems with my computer and needed to move onto a laptop.. somewhere between the time I got onto gaia and then got back onto gaia on the laptop all my items were gone, no new trades were started. So I think some are also gifting them to themselves..

It's a really good idea to update your AntiVirus and run full scans on your computer. I did one today and found 12 tracking cookies and one virus on mine. ._.

I try to scan my computer pretty often and it automatically fixes them. I even updated my McAfee just yesterday to protect my precious pixels.

Bunny, Alter is right they should be taken as malware themselves. I was talking with one of those geek squad people today and she informed me that both of those programs even AVG are not to good in protecting your computer.

Maybe so, but as I have already said, they work for me. Anyway, I didn't post to debate AntiVirus software. I don't have any reason to change mine, so I won't. I posted to advise running scans and updating whatever protection program you may have.

McAfee and Norton, both of them you are just paying for a name. I use a German Antivirus on my laptop and have for 7+ years.

Yeah this is pretty daunting,
Apologies if someone has already posted this, i didnt look through 10 pages to see or not, but, i remember reading about Booty Grab and how "You should use Firefox this, and download this add-on that" And people saying you should download all these add-ons which remove things and make it go faster so you can grab more gold...
Now i dont use firefox, but im assuming its not that hard to just pop in a "code" or something. and im NOT saying its not easy for IE users but with the way you can just use an add on and remove or add code at the click of a button, does this fact not make it easier for FF users to get there passwords recorded or whatever?.
With this most recent update, are you saying that people can access our computers, JUST by going on to a profile, viewing a post / storefront that has this THING on? if thats the case then i guess everyone will just have to stop buying etc? just like you said,
i havent brought anything from anyone if a few weeks and havent had any trouble but if it can be from more then buying etc then i guess we all need to atleast review our account security.
plus, another scary thing was i saw a mule account say his main, who i had seen before, had been hacked and he changed his password three times a month,
But, again, if your theory is right, then it wouldnt matter how many times you changed your password, the one you currently have by the time you run into that malware thing it would keep :/
Again, apologies if someone has already stated any of this,
