(I take it I can go ahead and help)
I saw the apprentice bound over a rock and Troutail followed to find a cat frothing at the mouth getting ready to attack the two cats. I jumped down from the top of the rock and landed on the back of the cat. I know I have more responsibility now but this is nuts! he thought as he struggled against the raging cat

 Jadepaw [Jadepaw heard a cat snarl up above her, and jumped a little when Leopardpaw landed in front of her.] "Jadepaw, get behind me. Catch your breath, then back me up. We'll need a lot of help if we can survive..." [Dismissing the last part of what she said, Jadepaw shuffled forward so she was behind Leopardpaw, wincing at the pain in the cuts on her paws. Starclan, let someone find us before this gets bad! Jadepaw let her heartbeat slow before stepping away from Leopardpaw, and centered herself, preparing for a fight.]

"No,Leopardpaw."Treepaw shuted in a snarl still angry at Fathom.Treepaw tore after the she-cat.He reached Jadepaw with her and Trouttail.Treepaw jumped on the tree he jumped off,ran to the tree he quickly turned so his back legs were facing the tree.Treepaw's back legs hit the tree he pushed off."Watch out"Treepaw yowled as the cats moved out of the way.Treepaw tucked his hindpaws and front paws under him,putting his head as low and then sorta rolling into a ball in mid air,Treepaw slammed into Nightstreak.He quickly jumped back.

[Nightstreak was ignorant. None of the other cats mattered. He fixed his gaze upon Jadepaw. He grinned a mad grin, and let out a cackle.
If he was sane, he might have said something like You're going to die, no matter what, or I will kill you, but he had no such ability.
Instead he ripped past the other cats and leapt for Jadepaw.]

Jadepaw [Jadepaw watched as the fight ensued, desperately wanting to help, but terrified of what could happen all at the same time. I started forward, but Trouttail shook his head, and I stayed back. Treepaw launched himself into the air, curling into a ball and knocking Nightstreak down. Nightstreak rolled across the clearing and slammed into a large oak, before falling back to the floor. He laid there motionless, and I took a step forward.] "I-Is he dead?"

Troutail didn't have time to get off the cat before yet another cat came off of a tree barreling himself into the cat under me.
Troutail fell to the ground "ouch, that kinda hurt, wait you okay"? Troutail didn't even have to ask to know it would take all four of them to either control this cat or "kill him". Troutail had let the words slip right out but didsn't realise it, his mind had just focused on the word and it made him sick just thinking of it. He jumped in to help the cat.

"No,Jadepaw"Treepaw was enraged now.He lept for the cat,suddenly he felt every pain every drop of blood every anger,all the other cats had experienced.Treepaw raked his claws down the cats flank blood welling out of the claw mark.Treepaw was thankful for the help."I'm sorry"Treepaw shouted at the cat trying to sound over the noise.

   [Leopardpaw sent a silent prayer of thanks to StarClan for sending help. She leapt at Nightstreak, claws unsheathed. She had no idea why, but she hoped Fathom would show up. She felt a renewal of spirit when he was around. She shook her head and focused on Nightstreak's throat.] "This cat must be..." [Leopardpaw couldn't say the word. It almost as if it wasn't in her vocabulary.] "Trouttail! Get behind him, don't let him escape! Treepaw, Jadepaw, get on his sides! Surround him!" [She dropped into a crouch, but she knew this cat would show no mercy. The forest whirred. She felt herself falling, yet staying upright. She waited until Nightstreak was almost upon her...] "Now!" [All the cats leapt on top of Nightstreak. He was held down; he couldn't move. She knew she had to kill him. She couldn't bring herself to do it.] "I-I-I -I can't do it!" [She wailed. She felt as if she'd failed. Nightstreak was gazing up at her, thrashing wildly, his eyes locked at her throat. She prayed to StarClan for bravery. She dropped down, and was about to sink her teeth into his throat and realized, If I taste his blood, will I get the Madness? Leopardpaw was about to sink her claws into his thraot when Fatom burst in. She let out a wavering sigh. She didn't want to kill the cat. She stepped back, Nightstreak was thrown backward. She heard a voice she thought she'd never hear again, a voice she recognized when it said,] "Fathom?"

   "LEAPORDPAW!" Fathom roared.
[No. Not her.
Never!
He dashed after her, Galespirit close on his heels. Thunderpaw was left behind, but she seemed to understand.
Fathom dashed forward, his paws carrying faster than ever before. Somehow, Galespirit kept up the pace, but they were almost...flying.
He burst into the clearing and saw Nightstreak being attacked.
But he couldn't stop himself.
He accidentally barreled into Nighstreak, kocking him over.
The threw him as far away from Jadepaw as possible.
Nightstreak slammed into the ground, yet sprang up almost immediately.]
Panting, Fathom said, "No."
[He glanced around at the other cats.]
"Stop. This...is my...battle. He's...my clanmate. Or...was. I have to...deal...with him...on my own. As deputy...it is...my duty....and my burden."
[He panted heavily, but he felt the wild beginning to surge over him again.
Nightstreak spat. It was obvious he only wanted Jadepaw.
Nighstreak tried to dodge past Fathom, but Fathom was too quick- he slammed Nighstreak back with his muscular shoulder.
Nightstreak flew back, then snarled.
He finally seemed to understand that he had to kill Fathom before reaching Jadepaw.]
"This is our fight now," Fathom snarled.

[Nightstreak felt pain from all around. Cats sank their claws into him.
And then- a red eyed cat prevented him from his prey.
Confused, he snarled.
But as he looked closer, he recognized something.
Red eyes pierced through his raging mind.
Suddenly, as if he had awoken from a terrible dream, he blinked. He shook his eyes.
He stared at the red eyed cat before him.]
After a long pause, he croaked, "Fathom...?"

Jadepaw [Everything was so confusing, and everything was moving so fast. Jadepaw backed against the rock, her eyes wide in fear as Nightstreak jumped up again and barreled towards her, his eyes murderous, before another cat tackled him down to the ground. Jadepaw saw the blood coating the other cats' pelts, and it was too much. Without another thought, she crumpled to the ground and lost consciousness.] ((hehe. I was never good at writing about passing out.))

[Fathom felt everything fall away.]
Staring at the suddenly sane cat, he murmured, "How?"
[He stared into Nightstreak's eyes. They held pain and confusion.]
"How are you sane?! How?!" He roared.
[Fathom felt the anguish rip through him.
It was too much.]
" How can I kill you if your soul is still alive?!" Fathom cried out in pain.

"No,Leopardpaw your wrong,you won't.The whole clan could have wen against Ravenstar forkillig that cat even though she was a rogue the cat still had a kit.....that she had tried to kill."Treepaw mewed to her softly.His paws were drenched in blood and he felt weird with it surronding him,he did not dare lick it clean.

Troutail had been frozen on top of the now dead cat " you had to kill him, it was the only way". He tried to comfort the apprentice but he knew he couldn't do anything. "I should have been the one, I shouldn't have let an apprentice kill a cat" he thought out loud.

[Nightstreak flinched.]
"What are you talking about?" he gurgled.
[Surprised, he spat.
White foam dripped from his mouth.
He stared in horror and confusion at the glob of foam on the ground.]
"What...what's happening to me?" he croaked, his eyes wide and terrified.
[There were other cats around him. They were all covered in blood. He was covered in blood.
His left cheek twitched.]
"Why are you all covered in my blood?!" he cried out, terrified.
