Jerome was ready to run into the kitchen and attack anything he could find, but he had to pause. "Noodles? What..why?" It didn't disappoint him that he couldn't eat noodles. He just wanted to know why. Obviously he was not familiar with anything that took place in the shop

Oh dear. He didn't know.... Looking back she scratched her own head nervously trying to think of a way to explain it. Im sure he wouldn't believe its where kits come from without a detailed explanation.
"Well....ano....Did you ever wonder why you see finely detailed bowls of noodes and no one eating them around? There is a kind of...magic in the shop...and well....." Koyuki bit her lip, sharing a glance to Jerome. "Once the ingredients of the magic spices have in essence 'boiled' to perfection and steams....a kit appears. A kit that belongs to whomever ordered the bowl; biological child of the couple who got it." Now her cheeks were really on fire, surely a scarlet red by now. "So...its where kits come from around here if any patron couples want kids..."

Jerome just stared at her. His face was in a stupified look. He really had nothing to say to that, so he just walked to the kitchen, quickly prepared himself a sandwich and then returned with the same dumbstruck look on his face. Had at any moment a bowl made it's way over to him, he would have had a heart attack.
Tha....that's....just........" he trailed off as he had no idea as to what to say at all to that explination

Oh lord! The indecency of the conversation had the vixen a fine shade of read from embarassment. The thought hadn't crossed her mind since she was but a kit herself, before she knew that it would be forbidden of her. Once Jerome returned she dare not speak, nor look over to him...but once he spoke she ended up babbling out in a nervous wreak.
"Ano...! I mean im sure you could get kits...another obvious way but ah...that might have been how your team mates..." She trailed off, not sure if she wanted to go there; but it was highly possible they didn't know about noodles here in the shop. Fidgeting her paws in her lap she sighed, deciding she didn't want to finish that thought and instead tried to mentally will her blushing cheeks to turn back to their normal hue.

Jerome was preparing to take another bite of his badly made sandwich but was caught with his mouth open when the vixen tried to explain further. He slowly shut his mouth and slowly his gaze turned to her, revealing a further dumbstruck look. He stared at her for a solid 10 minutes before finally conjuring up any words.
"This place is....very strange....I like it" he said as a grin appeared on his face and he took a large bite out of the food he had. He was very eager to eat. So eager that he finished the entire sandwich in three bites. After licking his lips and his fingers of any remaining crumbs he sat and stared at the fire, desperatly trying to find something else to switch the conversation to.

As his stare seemed to make the vixen even redder she opted to stare at the fire and try and ignore that he'd been trying to process what she'd said the entire time. However, she couldn't help the momentary smile that rose on her lips...it was nice to see him smile and grin, to relax. It let her know he was comfortable, and not so rigid with formality. "I really like it too..." She commented, but it only caused her smile to dissapear.
It was why she couldn't stay.
There was too much here that was precious to her, her mother, brother, her aquaintances, all the families here....and Jerome. She didn't want to see anything happen to them, and as she wrapped her arms around herself her eyes never left the fire.
"I think....i'll be leaving tomorrow. I can't stay here..."

The Spartan continued to lick his gloved fingers, when he suddenly heard Koyuki speak once more.
"Can't stay? Why....why not?" he said with a slightly concerened look crossed with one of confusion. He didn't understand. Did he do something wrong? Was she just uncomfortable with the large spartan? It didn't make sense to him at all. Nothing ever did. Just when he thought he was comfortable in his life, something happens

Closing her eyes for a moment, she let out a small sigh before continuing. She dare not look over to Jerome, for she didn't want to see his expression...
"Jerome...I know im not seeing things anymore...that fox tried to kill me, so someone wants me dead. I don't know who or why someone wants me dead...so I can't stay here and endanger the people I care about. If anyone got hurt, or worse killed on my account...I don't know what i'd do...." Pulling her legs up slowly and not too close to her wound she rested her forehead on her knees.
"They know where I live...they know I come here....it wont be long before they find out all I hold dear..."

Jerome sighed as he looked at the floor. "Koyu.."He paused and wanted to kick himself for making a nickname. "You can't run away from your problems. Besides. What would happen if you ran off and this fox caught up to you? He would still kill you..and there's nothing worse than having loved ones and friends knowing your dead." he said as he looked at the floor. He knew that if he had any tears left, they would be rolling out of his eyes, but sadly the military was keen on getting rid of those first.

"Then what would you have me do, Jerome? Have myself killed here instead? I am not a great warrior like you are...if I could I would make a stand....but all I know is that he will be back...and my options are limited." She had paws that could run, could lead the danger from her loved ones. Koyuki would run till her paws bled if it meant their safety at any cost.
A glance over to the male beside her caused an ache in her heart, and tenderly she reached out to tenderly touch his paw. "Everyone is happy here....look at you...you are happy here too. Can you not see that is more important to me than anything? I won't let it happen..."

Jerome looked at the paw that was touching his. He wasn't sure of whether to become frustrated or be tender about the matter. He swallowed hard. Even though he felt he couldn't cry, doesn't mean his voice couldn't break.
" I guess...it's...whatever you want to do. Even though I'm much happier around you than being alone, I guess I can't take away your freedom." he strained to control his voice. He did fairly well considering he hadn't gotten emotional for several years

What was this....Koyuki blinked and felt like pinching herself to see if it was really real or some dream. Where was the Spartan who gave her funny looks when she tried to show him how to play and have fun, or the one who always looked to intently and polietly at her when she spoke. Koyuki's insides felt like it was twisting in on itself...
I'm much happier around you than being alone...
Did she just hear him right?
"Jerome....I...." Why was it so hard to talk when the words were right on her tongue.. "I love..spending time with you. These past days with you have been special......" She didn't realize she'd tightened her grip on his paw, her eyes distant as she tried desperately to gather what she wanted to say....but her sentences kept slipping on her.

The Spartan sighed. It's not what he wanted to hear, but he couldn't deny that he did enjoy the past days...even if they were hard on him. "I....agree" He spoke softly. He figured that formal was as far as he could go now, especially with her plans to basically leave him and everyone else.
Jerome finally decided he needed to move away from this complete heartbreak. He took a hold of his helmet and quickly snapped it on. Now his face remained a mystery. Just as he thought it should have been from the beginning.
He stood at his large height and nodded his head. "I hope your injuries heal fast. It will be hard to run otherwise." he said blankly. At this point he completely purged his emotions.

It was for the best....she was a plauge, right?
Something began to dwell inside her, a panic that made her sick to her stomach. It only increased as he seemed to become distant, and fast. What was going on....yet it all faded away as he stood and put that helmet on. That mask to hide himself from the world, and Koyuki felt what it was like to be blind in that moment.
"M...matte..." She spoke in her native tongue she was in such a flustered panic, "Jerome....don't go. Please..." It wasn't wise, but the vixen shot up out of her seat despite the stinging pain and grabbed onto his arm.

Jerome was starting to walk towards a door. Any door, he didn't care. But he was soon stopped by the injured fox. He turned to look over his shoulder. Behind his helmet was a slightly disheartening glare. He was glad she couldn't see it through his orange reflective visor
