I have a nice recipe of day of the dead pumpkin bread. it is yummy.

That sounds delicious. Too bad I utterly lack in the cooking skills department. sweatdrop If it comes preboxed with instructions it'll probably turn out all right. Aside from that, I know one real dish, it's this super yummy filipino chicken dish that I'm actually quite proud to know how to make. Aaaand that's it for my l337 cooking skills.

Stuff with instructions I do pretty well. Except when I only read half the instructions and don't know what "simmer" means. sweatdrop But that's what I have my boyfriend here for! He's an excellent cook and helps me when I cook also!
But simple things like baking cookies, no problem. Just gotta try again and again to figure out the best way to work with those. Discovered you can over stir cookies and it makes them very flat. So you gotta add more flour (my mom's idea) and it'll fluff them up. But also make them very cakey, which isn't that bad of a texture in cookies.

I can make.. um.. sloppy joes! Brown the meat and drain and add the can of stuff. xd I can also make the fluffiest scrambled eggs you've ever had!

Sloppy joes are awesome. heart My bf and I make the sloppy joe mix, but instead of sandwiches we pour it over instant mashed potatoes. So yummy.

And forgive me for offending you oh so greatly by trying to prevent an inexperienced healer from creating more issues for the person they were trying to heal. Next time, I'll just sit back and watch the ******** unfold. Because I certainly wouldn't want to offend anyone since obviously everyone seems to take every single "negative" thing as a personal attack.

excuse me?

if you truly believe that witches can just willy-nilly cast whatever spells they want, then you either aren't a real witch, or you had a massive brain fart and forgot the whole bit about

Sounds like an insult to me. Please interpret her blatant insult differently.

i was trying to figure out if you A) weren't paying attention B) actually didn't remember or C) were woefully misinformed.

i apologize to anyone that was insulted by my post. i was not trying to be hurtful or condescending, just merely exercising my opinion that you should think of what happens when you aren't careful. i realize this is kind of hypocritical considering the massive onslaught of argument we just had (!!!! O.O ), but that is all i was trying to convey. i've seen terrible things happen in front of my face when people randomly decide to do what they want when they want to, and i'd rather not have history repeat itself.

if you want me to rephrase my earlier comment, then....

really bad things can happen when you aren't careful. technically, shion, you are right, and that witches can cast any spell they want to. a girl named lindsay can shave her long hair off over vacation for the fun of it, my dog can chew apart my sneakers when i'm not home, and barak obama could dance on the roof of the white house while yelling in gibberish. but there are reasons why people don't do things, and if you aren't areful with what you do, then you could end up with a result you don't want.

if anyone is insulted by the above paragraph, the i really don't know what to tell you. if it makes everyone feel better, i'd be happy to go back to where the earlier comment was and replace it with this.

I say leave it. I know what you meant to say, and while things did get out of hand, regardless of how it started and why you shouldn't have to pretend it never happened.

Compassion for others is a sign of enlightenment. However, much like nirvana, it comes and goes. The purpose of finding it is so that when it is lost, you can find it again. We cannot be an ideal 100% percent of the time because ultimately it's just an ideal, and it's damaging to think it's possible to maintain something that we just cannot. We are only human, with fallacies like every other human. It's like falling down; you get nowhere if you don't pick yourself back up and continue moving forwards.

my opinion at the time was that humans, since the time they first walked the earth struggled to survive. eventually, the survival instinct became so ingrained that you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone that didn't posess the will to survive. today, now that most humans aren't fighting on a daily basis to survive against their enemies, the instinct to fight and kill for survival is harder to satisfy. with that in mind, i wonder if this is why humans pick fights. do they really truly have problems with so many people, or are they still just trying to fight to the top?

again, folks, my opinion. so you don't have to agree with it. ninja

It's a viable theory. Thousands of years of evolution haven't been enough so far to remove (or even temper) the very human need need for struggle, because to know struggle in some ways is to know life. However, that doesn't mean it's necessarily the healthiest option. But it's also a limitation, and to transcend a limitation, you have to accept it. If we do not accept our limitations we not only impose new, more restricting ones, but we cannot come to terms with anything, and we cannot find ways to work around them. It is when we accept them and learn to work with and around them that they cease to become limitations.

the thing about that is that people have to realize that they're creating superfluous troubles for themselves. i wish the people that need to can figure it out, and then use that knowledge to go out and become better people. that would make me happy. heart mrgreen

That's very true. Wishing the best for anyone is all you can really do in the end, and as hard as it may sometimes be, try to keep in mind that we can never fully know what demons haunt who, and so we should wish everyone the best as we do not know who needs it the most.
