Before Otome laid down to sleep. She did one least hand seal, once that she was done Otome went to sleep, Enjoying the sweet bliss of sleep. Otome dreaming of her family and everyone in the citrus, those were the happiness and enjoy that she would remember since she was a child. Just thinking about them made her sad, Otome wished they were still alive. If they were still, they would have still have those happy moments.

Yarotai proceeded to enter his flat through the front door, apparently having gone out at some point that night. He tossed down a small stack of papers on the table near where the girl had made a bed for herself after training through the night. The man couldn't help but shake his head at the thought that such a difficult child would be so willing to begin a task at that hour of the night. With a low sigh he nudged her with the toe of his foot, "Hey. Time to get up. Today is your first day of the Academy, try not to be late. You've got some time before the bell rings so use the morning as you see fit. However I did find out some things when I got a hold of your file from the guys that brought you in."

He indicated the stack of papers on the table which included a small biography on a man and a map to his home in the village, "You've got a distant uncle in the village. He runs a little puppet theater. I paid him a visit last night and asked for his permission for you to train in the Academy since he's now your legal gaurdian and he said it was fine. Though he did seem to have his mind elsewhere. At any rate you'll be staying at his place starting tonight. You can wash up and eat here for breakfast though. Just be at the Academy on time."

With his speech made the Chuunin headed back out the door that he had entered through, scooping up a backpack on the way. He needed to be at the Academy well before the students.

Rhaim rolled out of bed lazily as the sounds of his youngest sister and mother banging on his door vibrated through his room. The whole while both women giggled as if it were the greatest scheme that they had ever developed. As the noise continued the boy stretched and dragged himself painfully into the shower to begin his morning ritual. Being the only son definitely had its' benefits when it came to privacy. However when he emerged ready to dress he found that his mother and sister were still laughing as they beat away at his door. After taking his time putting on a set of clothes identical to the ones he had worn the day prior he finally opened the door to find the Nara women had already scampered off towards the front of the house.

He grabbed a messenger style single strap backpack he had prepared the night before and set off from the house. As he passed the sister younger than him by a year he left her with a message, "Let anyone know that I'm at the meadows if they want me."

The girl simply munched at her toast as her brother gave her the message and headed out the door.

Feeling someone nudged she woke up, stretch, and yawned. Grumbling, she rubbed her sleepy eyes listen to him of news. It seemed that she was taken in by someone who owns a puppet shop which the person will be her uncle which made her his legal guardian and will be living with him. Otome wanted to jump in joy but wasn't in the mood since she was working on her hand sealing training late last night. Otome took every single information in, when he was finished in telling her, he left.

Otome stood up and grabbed some of her flesh clothes out of her bag, and headed to the bathroom. She washed up, dressed, ate, and left the apartment.

Homicidal Love

Timid Seeker

PostPosted: Tue Oct 05, 2010 10:25 am

Well before the light of dawn the young Fujiko was out of bed and on the move. She had already meditated for the morning and had adorned her typical attire. With nimble, gloved fingers the girl searched through her scrolls until she found the one she made for the Capoeira fighting style she had heard about while working in the ramen shop. Most Taijutsu techniques peaked her interest as the girl tossed a shoulder strap over her arm and headed out of the Nara compound, with a brief farewell to the younger Naras and Madame Nara, which she still referred to her as. Tenma always made sure to mention where she was going, today it was the forest, because she knew it always put some sort of ease in the mother’s mind; at that she exited the complex. The sun was glowing just above the horizon as the girl’s bare feet padded through the streets with excitement.

Fudou had lingered outside for a bit too long. It was dark already when he reached home. No one was home, so he fixed himself a snack with something random from the fridge (it was a sandwich, with some sort of meat in it. Fudou didn't really care what it was as long as it was edible). He figured his mum was off finishing off her shift at the grocery store, and, frankly, he didn't care where his father was. Sitting with legs crossed in the ratty old sofa, Akio unrolled the scroll and placed it on the cardboard box in front of him. He would learn the hand seals while he waited for his parents to return.

He smirked as he saw the first seal, the Rat. Akio was born in the Year of the Rat himself and although he didn't believe in astrology, he did think that the qualities of the rat did fit him. The hand seal didn't look like a rat at all though... Resting his head on his hand with elbow on the table, he idly looked through the rest of the signs. Yep... none of them looked like their animal counterparts. What was even the point of naming them after those.

Fudou didn't dwell too long on the lack of logic in hand seal names though. Who knows, maybe they had some sort of purpose that wouldn't be clear except to jutsu masters. Instead he focused on learning how to make the seals, like Nara had told him to do. Biting his lip in concentration, he attempted to join his hands together and imitate the (rather confusing, he thought) illustration in the scroll. Nothing happened at first and he peered at the scroll to figure out where he went wrong. If he looked especially hard, that line over there indicated that his finger was slightly off center. Hmmm... Fudou was beginning to have his doubts. Did these things actually work? Sceptically he adjusted his fingers and suddenly, a jolt.

User Image

It was like a bolt of energy had run through him. In fact it probably was. Akio realised that he had just had his first contact with his own chakra. Using this chakra, he would be able to do the clone jutsu, and the transformation jutsu, and eventually even that creepy thing that Nara had done today. Eager to learn more, he moved on to the next seal, the Ox. He made the general shape of the two horns, before leaning closer to examine the image and patiently adjusting his fingers. Soon enough, he felt the tell-tale energy come from somewhere within in. It felt different somehow, but Fudou couldn't tell exactly how. He supposed he'd figure out the difference between the signs as he became more familiar with chakra.

Suddenly, the buzzing chakra feeling within him dissipated and Fudou stopped, confused. Did he move his fingers or something? One quick comparison between his hands and the image showed that indeed, he had. Fudou frowned as he realised that not only would he have to learn the configurations, but also train his muscles to remember the specific position and not move one iota from that position for as long as he needed that chakra. Still, he now knew the Ox seal so he moved on.

The next seal was Tiger and looked rather straightforward. Unconsciously chewing his lip, Akio laced his fingers together and felt the rush of chakra almost immediately. It was stronger than the other two seals he'd done before and he made a note of that. The chakra flow also seemed different in a way, more malleable and softer, he supposed. He also snickered rather childishly and imagined pointing the tiger seal at someone, by accident of course. It wasn't his fault that particular finger happened to be outstretched for this seal.

The next seal was the Hare. Like the others preceding it, it looked nothing like an actual hare, but Fudou took it in his stride as he carefully arranged his thumbs and index fingers into that strange plus shape. Now that he thought about it, the scroll wasn't too bad. At least it labelled which hand was which, and even which finger was which, which had been a lot of help. Just imagine if he had to spend even more time trying to figure out which hand was which. One final adjustment and he felt the faint current of chakra course through his veins. This feeling was rapidly becoming more familiar to Akio and he couldn't wait to tackle some jutsus tomorrow as Nara had promised. Of course, he would have to finish learning all the hand seals first, but at the rate he was going, Akio was confident that he would succeed.

The chakra from the Hare seal seemed to him pretty weak and not very fit for chakra manipulation. But he knew that in order to perform jutsus, sometimes complicated sequences of hand seals were needed. He knew that much from shinobi stories and TV shows he'd read and watched as a kid anyway. Maybe certain jutsus would require the mediating influence of the Hare seal. Akio realised that this was a crack theory, but there was no harm in entertaining it until proven otherwise.

Now to move on to the Dragon seal. Akio's snarky inner monologue was beginning to wonder why the universally recognised best ways to summon and manipulate a chakra flow were also some of the most convoluted and impractical hand poses ever. Clapping his palms together in front of him, he proceeded to bend all his fingers except his pinkies. The middle three he tucked into the "pouch" created by the joined hands while the bent thumbs he placed one over another. Soon enough he felt the tell-tale flare of chakra start from somewhere within him and instantaneously buzz through his veins. True to its patron animal, the Dragon seal chakra seemed more active and stronger than the previous seal, although the effect was still the strongest for the Tiger seal.

The Snake seal was next. It looked the most straightforward of the seals on the list and Akio imitated the image and felt the chakra almost immediately. Satisfied at his knowledge of the Snake seal, Akio unrolled the scroll further to reveal the second half of the dozen seals.

Akio appraised the seals he had left to learn. Horse, Ram, Monkey, Bird, Dog and Boar. He was getting a little bored, because none of the new seals he was learning was giving him the rush he had felt during the Rat seal and even the Tiger seal. A glance at the clock revealed that he had been at the task for almost 40 minutes, which wasn't a bad thing he supposed. The question of where his mother was was beginning to nag at his mind though. She usually didn't get home this late... Akio was getting a bit worried, but shook it off. If she wasn't back by the time he finished learning the seals, then he would worry.

By now Akio had given up questioning the strangeness of the seals. He suspected it was a stage that everybody went through - if they didn't, either they had no brains or they were just sheep. The task was quickly losing its earlier appeal and was becoming tedious. Nonetheless he doggedly moulded his fingers together into the shape of the Horse seal. The resulting stream of chakra, slow and steady, validated his efforts.

Akio moved on to the Ram seal. To him it actually quite resembled the Tiger seal, although there were key differences - the outstretched finger, for example. With a soft snicker he recalled his earlier thoughts about the Tiger seal but decided not to go further down that route. The chakra stream produced by the Ram seal itself was pretty unextraordinary. In fact, with the exception of the Dragon, Tiger and Hare seals, Fudou couldn't really tell between many of the chakra streams the different seals produced. The most he could do was to separate them into two categories: strong flow and weak flow. Well, he supposed it would come with time.

The only thing he could really do at the moment now was to move on to the next seal, the Monkey seal. To Akio it looked more like a clam but it didn't really matter what it was called as long it he could use it, really. He clapped his two hands together like when he was learning the Horse seal, but instead of holding them upright in a position reminiscent of prayer, he followed the scroll image and flipped his hands sideways. All that was left was a curving of the hands and Akio could feel the chakra slowly stirring. He realised that he was getting better at detecting the chakra within him - now he could tell when he was close to making the seal accurately. It appeared that he didn't have to maintain the seal completely accurately to ensure a constant flow of chakra. His earlier experience with moving out of the Ox seal was probably only due to his lack of sensitivity towards his own chakra at the time.

Or not. The chakra flow stopped again and after looking at his hands, Akio found that his ring finger had moved out of position. He supposed that being entirely accurate would ensure maximum and most efficient chakra flow, while any deviation would decrease those two variables. However, the margin for error was still not large. He would just have to suck it up and make these hand seals carefully until it became second nature, it seemed. Maybe after he went over everything once, he should go over it again tonight just to ensure that the memory for the hand seals was consolidated properly. Maybe he should practise them again tomorrow morning, as well.

As the minutes passed, Akio found it more difficult to stop himself from looking up at the clock. It was by now close to 10pm and his mother was still not yet home. To his knowledge her shift ended at 9 and there was no way she would take 1 hour to return home. Unless she had taken on another job... of course, it could be a totally innocuous explanation, like she was grabbing last minute discounted items from the grocery. Nighttime was not the best time to be walking around this area of Konoha though. It was with great difficulty that Akio returned to focusing on the next seal, the Rooster.

Felix Silverlight

Felix stretched a little, fingers splayed before his face as it reached forward, bumping into the wall behind his desk and resting on the wall there for a second. His lightly brushed silver eyes panned the curves for a moment, he was still growing... and according to his teachers it was only going to get worse.. Why did kids have to grow up again..?
With a faint groan Felix's head bumped back down on top of his algebra textbook. One fascination of his was the pursuit of mathematics and sciences... though he did enjoy and appreciate literature at the same time. Though for now, he had been napping the afternoon away; he was two years ahead of the other kids at the orphanage.. it should be ok... and now he was going to be taught the ways of the ninja as well.
Excited... he was completely psyched about learning to fight... to protect, of course. To protect the other kids, like little Lauren... who had made him the bracelets, his eyes opened a little bit, and he viewed them through his eyelashes blurredly.
Back to work.... Felix sat back up straight, stretching his back to the limit in his small wooden chair and then relaxing once more. He lifted the quill, dipping it in ink properly and dabbing it once on the sheet before brushing the prettily shaped letters in order.

Yarotai was extremely tired and still coated in dirt and grime from his latest mission. Despite being assigned to the missions tracking department of the Hokage's office, he was also being used as a courier and had even been informed that he would have to resume his duties at the Academy. Though he did prefer working with kids rather than being stuck in an office, he wanted to be out on operations even more than either one. The fact that the young Chuunin just got his first taste of a mission after over two years was in no way helping the matter.

At any rate the nineteen year old shinobi made his way into the orphange with bags under his eyes and a scroll in his hand. He tapped on the door to Felix's room before pushing it open. The teen smiled and waved his free hand, "Hey! The woman in the front office said that this is Felix Silverlights' room. Is that you?"
