If David had any reaction to Enro's descent, and subsequent show of skill with his blade, he didn't show it, instead simply grasping the hilt and taking the weapon. Rather than do anything with it as the man might have expected, he turned it around in his own hands, not as skillfully as Enro, but just as smoothly, and held it out for him to take back, holding it aloft, oddly, with both hands open, so only his palms were touching the blade.

"Take it back." he ordered, even as he reactivated the jutsu, using his hands this time, to attach himself to the blade. When Enro attempted to take the blade as ordered, he would be unable to, despite David's useless grasp. No matter how hard he pulled, the blade would not slide, nor would David himself budge. "I shouldn't need to explain how this particular aspect can be useful." he said after Enro had tried, releasing the technique, and the sword for him to take back.

Latter bits sort of assume Enro followed the order. I'd have let that pan out to the next round, but it'd have stretched this minute long interaction into about three rounds, so I went with that method. Also the fact it'd have shrunk the post to one tiny paragraph, which is an unfortunate fate reserved only for the least inspired of interactions.

Enro raised an eyebrow as David flipped the weapon towards him, holding the blade between his palms. At the Kazekage's order Enro reached out and tentatively grasped the hilt of his weapon. He glanced back at the Kazekage, shrugged his large shoulders and attempted to tug the weapon out of his hands. He wasn't too surprised when neither the Kazekage or the blade budged even an inch. He was more impressed that the technique could hold up against that fraction of his strength.

He took his word back and sheathed it across his back. "Is there anything that can overpower the adhesive effect? I suppose maybe if the surface already had chakra flowing through it, a shinobi would not be able to stick to it,"

Enro wasn't as inexperienced as many of the other shinobi suspected. He spent a great deal of time in the library and observing other ninja whenever they sparred on trained. He wasn't so spectacular at performing techniques yet but his knowledge on the arsenal of shinobi techniques grew exponentially with every visit to the library.

"Not quite." David replied, shaking his head. "In most cases, that would be true. An object with chakra in it can't have a different source of chakra added. But this jutsu doesn't inject chakra, it makes a coating on the user. To prevent it's use in that way, the surface would have to repel or absorb chakra, so that the coating can't form."

Turning away, David walked towards the water, pulling out his scroll once again and unrolling it, reading it again even as he continued speaking to Enro. "As for overpowering it, you'd just need a stronger force than the effect. If I'd tried that with someone who could pull harder than the force I put in the jutsu, I'd be lacking fingers. If you were physically stronger than me, but not the jutsu, I'd be pulled to you, probably with that sword through my chest."

Reaching the water, David went quiet, and kept right on walking, concentrating on manipulating his chakra as the scroll dictated. Push against the water, lift your body away from the surface. At first, while he never sank, the water pushed away from his feet, leaving him walking in holes in the water's surface, too much chakra pushing the water away instead of simply holding him above it. Reducing the chakra on one foot saw him sink slightly, that foot going entirely below the water as it lost cohesion. And then, leveling out the force between his feet, he found himself steady, fully atop the smooth surface. Nodding to himself, satisfied for now, he turned around to face Enro, and stood unmoving, fluctuating his chakra output constantly, trying to find and retain the perfect level.

"This one is a bit harder." he spoke, obviously intending for Enro to learn this one now as well, even if he had only just tried it for the first time himself. "In this one to have to create a repulsive force, pushing against the water, without displacing it. As you just saw," he continued, assuming Enro had watched his slow walk into the pool and continuing with that assumption. "Too much chakra will push the water away, causing you to sink a bit. Too little chakra and the water loses cohesion, causing you to sink entirely." Satisfied that his explanation was enough, for now, David put away the scroll, pulling out a different one instead, for his own personal study.

And, while he didn't consciously admit it, multitasking practice. The one thing he had been impressed about when it came to Koizumi, was her multitasking ability. The woman seemed able to focus on ten things at a time. Sure she was terrible at all of them, but it was impressive nonetheless. For now, he would stick with three. Reading a scroll, watching Enro, and not falling under the water.

Suimen Hokou no Gyou [The Art of Water Walking]
Rank: C
Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary
Prerequisites: Kabenobori
Description:
The second of the techniques ninja use to walk where normally impossible, Suimen Hokou no Gyou, The Art of Water Walking, allows the user to do just that, walk upon the waves. Where Kabenobori uses chakra to pull the user against a surface, water walking pushes the user against the water, without disturbing the surface. The result, is the user standing atop the water as if it were a solid plane. Just as with Kabenobori, once mastered this jutsu can be applied to any part of the body, allowing the user to interact with the water just as they would be able to the ground.

This is a passive ability, and as such does not require seals nor incantation after it has been learned. Use of the technique costs two points of chakra every post it is active for, doubled if you are carrying another person or object equal to your own size or weight (Per person/object). There is no time limit on this jutsu.

"I see,"

He wondered if there were any substances that repelled or absorbed chakra naturally. Such materials, if available in abundance, could be used to build walls that could not b easily scaled by ninja. If smoothed to the point where no hold could be found and erected far higher than a grappling hook could be thrown, an area could be made impregnable unless by force. Enro stored the concept for later study and turned his full attention on to David who opened his scroll again and proceeded towards the water.

His amber eyes trained on deceptively powerful form of the shinobi. Though Enro was clearly the larger and more muscular of the two, some aspects of shinobi training bestowed the Kazekage's lean form with great strength. He wondered if it had something to do with the chakra circulatory system and if so, how it amplified one's natural abilities to such levels. Bringing himself out of the depths of his mind once again, he watched as David braved the calm water. He studied the Kazekage's feet and the water around them intently. He came to the conclusion that the technique was based on maintaining buoyancy through chakra manipulation just as David explained it. Luckily the water was calm so he wouldn't have to alter the current of chakra significantly if he didn't move too quickly.

Enro strode towards the waters edge, tentatively balancing a foot on the surface of the water. He held the limb aloft through muscle strength alone before forming the same seal as before to mould and direct his chakra. He felt the metaphysical energy seep into his soles and urged it to 'push' downwards, against the surface of the water.

The water stirred, dipping almost imperceptibly under the invisible field of chakra. As expected this technique had a greater chakra cost. Enro compensated accordingly, methodically increasing the flow of chakra while simultaneously resting part of his weight on the foot upon the waters surface. Though not as quickly as the Kazekage, Enro was able to balance the force enough so that he could rest part of his weight on his foot. Inhaling softly he placed more weight on the foot and managed to current of chakra to keep himself afloat. His second foot came down slowly though he had a good idea about the amount of chakra required to retain his balance. For a few moments he was still, dipping and rising almost lethargically until he finally stabilized. He allowed himself to breathe before taking slow tentative steps towards the center of the Lake, increasing his pace until he was walking at a brisk pace. Water lapped at his feet as he moved becoming confident in his motions and control. Once satisfied he looked towards the Kazekage and recalled their original purpose. "I'll start filling up the barrels," he proposed, assuming the man had no other lessons to offer.

David simply nodded to the larger man's assertion, confirming he had nothing further to offer in the way of training, for the moment. "Make sure to compensate for the extra weight, or the barrel will pull you under." he added, a vocal confirmation.

Before Enro could get more than a few steps along the way to the shore, David looked up for the first time since he'd opened his new scroll, and with a flick of his wrist the barrels rose into the air and joined the one Enro had already removed from the wagon on the ground, which then lifted itself in a solid platform, floating out over the water to stop near the middle of the pool, hovering in place a few inches over the water's surface. David felt he had better things to do with his time than watch Enro walk back and forth to the shore grabbing barrels, yet still felt no desire to actually directly help with the job itself. That, was what genin were for.

He had come to the oasis for a single purpose. And with that out of the way, it was time to move on to the reason he had brought Enro with him. "I read your file." he spoke in a slightly bored tone after waiting for the man to begin with the first barrel, eyes back on his scroll and not rising once. "Not just the information you gave when you joined us, but what the information specs dug up as well. Not many choose to become a ninja at twenty three after all, which makes you rather interesting. Background checks turned up some information, but no specifics, which is why I chose to talk to you directly."

"I knew you had a military background, but couldn't say whether it was militia, mercenary, or army. Your demeanor is one of a person accustomed to leadership, but that information too was lacking. Luckily, you just gave it to me. So, you have military experience, are obviously quite good at following orders, and by all evidence, have experience in giving them as well. In the ninja world, all that's left is skill in utilizing chakra, which you have just displayed excellent potential for."

"Would you say that is all accurate information, or do I need it corrected?"
His eyes rose again to look directly at Enro, one eyebrow lifted to accentuate the question. It was rather important for the next stage of his plan that this information was correct, so he wanted confirmation from the man himself that he, at the least, consciously recognized those traits in himself.

Your chakra count is wrong. Wall and water walking have per post drains, but no activation requirement. Since you only stayed on the tree for one post, that's -1 point. You've spent one post so far on the water, so that's another -2, because water walking is -2 per post. It looks like you counted them as regular jutsu. The cost in the description overrides the ranked cost. After reducing chakra for your next post, you should have 22 remaining.

Enro nodded and made his ways towards the shore however as he did he watched as the barrels were carried over to the shore where they joined the barrel he placed earlier. Then the ground lifted itself, trailing sand for a few moments before gliding over to the center of the lake. Enro glanced at the Kazekage and silently nodded his thanks before taking a barrel and, properly compensating for the added weight, began to the process of filling them with water.

In the midst of his actions David spoke and Enro stopped to glance at him before going back to filling the barrels. He was glad the information checks were unable to bring up a great deal of information, proud even. The Black Company often went through pains to disguise their work whether that meant indiscriminately massacring any witness or burning the bodies of their fallen and collecting the ashes. He wasn't too upset about revealing much to the Kazekage and so simply said "Accurate enough,".

You're making this a lot harder with the occasional silent references to dark deeds. XD

David nodded, satisfied with the response. Even if it did turn out untrue, he would find out eventually anyways. long before this project reached fruition. But, for now, it was time to share his plan at last.

"Since I was a child, I have studied the world of ninja. To me they were always silent killers, soldiers that could strike where told and be gone before anyone knew they were even there. When I graduated the academy, I did not find the world of ninja. I found an incompetent leader who treated her subjects as children rather than soldiers, ninja who preferred to run into battle screaming and slinging the flashiest techniques they could find about. A battle that lasted days was considered a grand feat, over a war won in moments." David scowled as he spoke, his frown deepening with every example given.

"It took nearly a year, and a trip to the chuunin exams before I found the world of ninja at last. Genin that struck without mercy, a kage that did and said what was needed and efficient rather than pandering to their own emotions and desires. And the conclusion I drew was that Sunagakure did not deserve to be counted among that world. When I returned, I found the Kazekage had been deposed, a friend of the Mizukage and one time candidate for the position of Kazekage having taken her place. Mere weeks later, before I even completed my trip home the man supposedly died. We were left without a leader until a rogue arrived in the village during an attack. I should have known from the fact she was once the Tsuchikage that that would not last. Soon enough we lost her too. Sunagakure was ready to collapse, unstable from years of poor leadership, and constant change in leaders."

"It was into that that I was sent. The council elected me to lead, not because they felt I was the best candidate, but because they needed someone, anyone, who could hold the position long enough to stabilize the village. To that end, I have been making changes in how the village is run. Our genin are not children. Our ninja, from the lowest academy student to the most elite of jounin, are soldiers. But, as one man I can't spread that philosophy to everyone. I can try to enforce it all I like, but unless there are others with that mindset, it can do no good."
David went silent then, eyes digging into Enro as if examining him to be sure he was making the right choice. But, in the end, with his village in this state, it was the only choice to be made.

"Tenrousei Enro, what I need is soldiers. Officers in my military. You are new to the world of ninja, but you have been a military man for a long time. What I want is to tap that trait. Put you on a fast track to promotion and move you to a position where you can lead, and help to spread those ideals that can make our village stronger. If you agree to this, you will perform missions with myself or a squad of my choosing. You will not be expected to perform the foolish excuses for missions we assign genin to test their skills, and when I believe you are ready, I will personally test you for promotion." David tucked the scroll back into his satchel and crossed his arms, watching Enro with one raised eyebrow, waiting for his answer.

"What do you say?"

Spontaneous backstory exposition. Wow. Never actually planned the massive story part, but it fit so well and David demanded it be included. (Fun fact: This was my plan since approaching Enro. Muahahaha! (If you hadn't noticed and picked up on it before, go ahead and read back through my posts since "Acquiring" him. It's all foreshadowed. =p))

Enro continued to fill the barrels as David spoke about his past as a shinobi. He knew shinobi could advance quickly in ranks and they were renown for spectacular and explosive combat. If David was searching for the true silent killers he would not find many among ninja, not in this era.

He wasn't aware of the surplus of poor leadership that Sungakure suffered through. As the military stronghold of the Wind County, Suna's military ability likely directly correlated with the funding received from the daimyo. Enro soon caught on to the point in David's story. The Kazekage needed help. The thought of returning to a position of leadership and moving on past the errands they called missions was an appealing one. If all that was required was to properly mobilize the village ninja, Enro believed he was up for the task.

David nodded as Enro agreed, but remained silent for a short time. It was honestly a bit troubling to him that the man didn't seem to respond in anything but single breath sentences, even when given what amounted to a speech for David's own usual talkativeness.

Shaking his head and dismissing the thought David sighed and stepped forward. In the time since he'd started, Enro had managed two barrels, and David didn't feel like waiting at that rate for all six to be done. Moving to the platform, he grasped the top edges of two barrels, lifting them from the platform and moving away far enough to be out of the way, before dunking them into the water. As the barrels quickly filled, he slowly increased his chakra output as the increased weight threatened to pull him under. The only thing stopping him from dropping the barrels outright by the time both were full was the sand he wore augmenting his own strength, not that Enro needed to know that.

As the barrels finished filling, David stood smoothly, still supported by his sand and lifted the barrels out of the water for all appearances as if they weighed nothing, moving back over the set them upon the platform. Once they were steady, he capped them, and with a wave of his hand sent the four barrels floating back to shore, where his sands quickly deposited them back in the wagons. "Finish up." he spoke, looking at Enro and cocking his head towards the remaining two barrels, before turning and walking to shore, headed in the direction of the oxen.

Enro seemed unconcerned about the silence that stretched out between the two. He was well aware how off putting his brief responses could be but he preferred the quiet. He did wonder what the Kazekage had in store for him in terms of missions and he was sure a personal examination beneath the Kage would be a grueling one. Resigning to his fate he took placed the barrel back onto the platform and took an empty one as David, perhaps displeased with the lack of urgency in Enro's movements, carried two of the barrels and dunked them beneath the waters surface. It was a remarkable display of strength, a feat even Enro could not perform without tiring or losing his concentration.

Instead of watching in awe Enro filled his own barrel and placed it back on the platform with the Kazekage. He grasped the last barrel and repeated the procedure without showing any signs of tiring. The barrels were indeed heavy when full but Enro muscles didn't so much as twitch beneath their weight. Even as he carried the remaining barrel towards the shore his breathing was steady and uneven despite the amount of chakra consumed within the last few minutes. Sweat soaked his clothing however and he blinked away the slick coating that covered his eyelids. He placed the last barrel within the wagon and wondered how the Kazekage would round up the oxen now that the task was complete.

As Enro set the first barrel down, it too flew away to join the others, setting itself down in David's wagon, and the remaining platform dispersed as David noticed the man simply carrying the last barrel back. Suspecting Enro would get started on strapping the barrels in and covering them over with the straps and tarps provided in the wagons, David continued his walk to the oxen.

Circling around them, so that they were between him and the wagon, he attempted to push them back in the direction of the wagons, only to be ignored by the massive beasts as they snorted and continued... Whatever they were doing. They weren't grazing, it was more like they were conversing with the resident ox. Quickly growing frustrated, David went over his options. He could continue trying to find the right way to do it, embarrassing himself in front of his new student. Not an option. He could levitate them like he had that man's bear a couple years back, but that would also display his lack of control over the beasts. Fixing the beasts with a glare, he decided to go with another option. The technique he'd just been studying rather than working.

Letting his chakra leak out, he pushed it in the beasts' direction, transforming it with the knowledge that he could easily slaughter them on the spot, as the scroll had indicated, and with satisfaction saw them begin to fidget. "Move." he commanded, giving the chakra one last pulse and enveloping them in it before pulling it all back in. The effect was instantaneous, as the oxen first balked, and then turned, bolting for the wagons. Displaying both the quality of their training, and their new found fear of David, they stopped in front of the wagons, positioned and ready to be hooked up.

David wore a satisfied, if malicious grin as he walked back over himself, and quickly returned the pins to their rightful places with a wave of his hand, climbing atop his wagon immediately to wait for Enro to finish strapping things into place.

Quote:
Killing Intent
Rank: E
Type: Genjutsu | Supplementary
Description:
Killing intent is as much an exercise of spirit as it is of chakra and power. To use killing intent is to impose on one's target the user's own sure knowledge that they can, and will, kill them. This is most often used merely as an intimidation tactic, but if the gap in power of chakra and spirit between the user and target is great enough, it can cause the victim to freeze up.

When killing intent is used, it is judged by a comparison of the user and target's current chakra levels. If the target's chakra is less than three quarters of the user's, it can cause the target to falter, interrupting any attack or defense the target may have been preparing, and reducing the target's reaction speed by one half rank. If the target's chakra is less than one half of the user's the same effect is doubled, reducing reaction speed by one full rank. If the target's chakra is less than one quarter of the user's, it will cause the target to freeze, completely reducing reaction speed to zero for one post.

Killing intent can also be used on multiple targets at once, however the comparison then becomes the user's chakra against all targets combined, making it much harder to get a strong effect.

Once Killing Intent has been used, it cannot be used on the same target again for a minimum of three full posts.

Killing intent does not require hand seals, incantation, or chakra, as it is an exercise of will and comparison of chakra levels.

Not quite the described effect, but these are animals, and were given a command. I expect it could be used that way on just about anyone if played right.

As Enro watched David walk over to the oxen he realized he had yet to strap in the barrels. Climbing into his own wagon he picked up the straps and secured the barrels before throwing the tarp over them. He did the same with the second barrel but kept his eyes trained on David at the same time. Although it slowed his pace it allowed him to watch David's first attempt at moving the oxen.

It was clear they had no knowledge of his status as the Kazekage. As they should being pack animals with no real aspirations of their own. He held back a small grin at the sight of their defiance and considered walking over to aid the Kazekage but immediately dismissed the thought. David seemed like a very prideful person and any aid may be taken as a slight. Enro hopped off of the back of the second wagon and leaned against the wooden frame, watching to see how the Kazekage would handle the situation.

Unversed in sensing chakra he was oblivious to the Kazekage's intent until he heard his voice carry over across the sand and the beasts react almost instantly. As if fearing for their lives they bolted for the wagons at a mad pace, churning sand beneath their hooves as they moved. Enro managed to keep himself still as they ran past him and came to a sudden stop at the front of the wagon. At the same time, some deep and primal fear urged him to move as well. The only thing that spared him the embarrassment of actually moving was the distance factor and the focus on the technique being on the oxen. He raised a singe eyebrow at the Kazekage as he confidently strode over to the wagons, replacing the pins and climbing into place.

"Hmph, nice trick," said the ex-mercenary as he finished securing the traps and threw the tarp over the Kazekage's wagon. He climbed aboard his own wagons and grasped the reins, watching the now skittish oxen snort nervously around the Kazekage.

"Back to the village?"

Chuunin | Speed | Strength | Less Elements | Tactless | Espionage Specialist
XXXxxxx
Laying in silence for quite some time on the outskirts of the oasis, Senji bid his time to strike when the iron would be the most hot. His mission grew to be obnoxious, finding out it wasn't just genin leading the oxen this time, but the Kazekage himself. "Dammit," he thought to himself as the man spoke about his position and how he came into it. It seemed the bigger guy he was with was just a genin as far as skill was concerned with chakra, however he came from a military background. This was an annoyance, something he definitely hadn't signed up for. As a deserted Iwa-nin, Senji had been taking on odd jobs here and there for people for gold, still unsure on just where to settle and when. In all honesty, he liked the freedom of not adhering to the rules of a government shinobi system. The downside however, was nothing was ever as guaranteed as a free agent, and just as well there were more risks working alone.

This mission was supposed to be easy. Put down a few genin, steal a barrel of water (both if he could manage), and deliver it to his employer and his small village in Wind Country. The desert wasn't kind to his people, and there rations of water had been cut due to drought. Essentially, it was a low risk job with a high pay and free lodging for a month. He couldn't pass it up at all, however peeking from under his position laying in the grass, he wish he had. "Well, I've got no choice but to follow through with this, but I'm definitely going to have to triple my rates" he thought to himself. His best bet was to try and put down the big guy first, if only to eliminate one threat. His hope was that if he got to the cargo fast enough to take it from the still hitched ox, the Kazekage wouldn't bother chasing him out into the desert. He'd never laid eyes on the Kazekage, but he could've sworn he'd seen that man somewhere. It was bugging him to no end, however his memory couldn't pull it up.

On cue as his first target asked if they were to leave, he threw the sheet up into the air and started in a full sprint, throwing a kunai at the first hitched ox he saw in an attempt to unhitch it and perhaps spook the herd that was near them. Arms trailing behind him, he jumped upwards and flipped forward with his right foot out as he came down, attempted a crescent kick on the head of the hopefully unsuspecting and surprised "genin." To be honest, he was a bit baffled the man was a genin, he'd have placed him as a special jounin and aborted the mission altogether if the Kazekage hadn't mentioned it.

Jutsu Used:
Kakuremino no Jutsu [Magic Cloak of Invisibility]
Rank: E
Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary
Description:
Utilizing a large piece of cloth, the user hides themselves behind it. Channeling their chakra through the cloth they imbue it with the image of the area behind them (Or around them, if they are wrapped up entirely.). Due to the cloth taking on the appearance of the area, the ninja is essentially invisible. Unfortunately, when this technique is activated it takes a simple snapshot of the area, and locks. This means that if the ninja moves even an inch out of place, the illusion is broken. It does not refresh itself, so if you want to move and still be hidden, the jutsu must be recast every time you take a new position.

"It works on people too." David responded sharply, turning his head just enough to shoot a light glare at the older man, one eyebrow raised challengingly. He may have been rather enjoying himself thus far today, but having his killing intent referred to as a simple trick was a step ever so slightly on the wrong side of the line. He considered giving Enro a taste of it, to remind the man of just who he was with, but decided against it. While leaving the massive man writhing on the ground from artificial fear could be amusing, it would be a waste of time better spent returning to the village.

Turning to face forward again, David prepared to flick the reins and send his ox moving down the road, when he saw something that actually made him drop them from the surprise. A boy, genin, maybe chuunin from the looks of him was throwing off an invisibility cloak and charging them. Charging a pair of fully grown men, alone. David sighed, leaning back in his seat and rolling his eyes back. Seemed things were going to take some time after all. What point was there to a ninja attacking a water run, exactly?

"Alive, preferably." he muttered, closing his eyes as he made the decision to ignore things unless he was absolutely needed. "The hospital was asking for some training dummies. T&I too, now I think of it." he actually yawned, shifting to settle himself more comfortably and cracking his eyes again, to see just how skilled Enro was when put in actual battle.

Just a note, pretty much nobody but those near the gates when they left would know his identity (If I mentioned it directly that's fine), and he's never been out of the village looking as he does now, so unless this poor fellow has been stalking him all day, he's never seen him before to know who he actually is from sight. (For that matter, even knowing he's the kage does no good for anyone but Yamatano and the Kumo team.)

Tenrousei Enro

Enro held back a soft chuckle at the Kazekage's sharp reply even going as far as to allow the corner of his scarred lips to curl up slightly. Strangely enough, despite his recent physical alteration, Enro still saw the little boy David had once been in the Kazekage. It didn't mean he saw him as a joke as he'd heard much about his prowess as a shinobi and host. Enro just wasn't sued to taking orders from someone younger than him. It was in the midst of these thoughts that a kunai cut the straps holding his oxen in place.

He reacted as any mercenary worth their name would, reaching over his shoulder with his right hand to grasp the hilt of his katana while immediately retracing the trajectory of the projectile that severed the oxen from the wagon. He looked in time to see a dark-clad youth leap into the air and execute a neat transition into a down crescent kick. His first instinct was to cut off the offending limb as it descended and in anticipation he drew his weapon halfway. He immediately realized he would not draw his sword fast enough to cut him down. The boy was fast.

Instead Enro threw up his left arm, extending his legs so as to reach the descending foot faster than the boy would expect while drawing his sword. He twisted and oriented his arm so that the boy's foreleg would connect with Enro's forearm and his heel harmlessly pass his elbow. His arm was twisted in a way that his large hands could grab the boy's leg behind the knee in a painful vice-like grip. The impact from the blow made Enro clench his teeth in pain but he moved without missing a beat, swinging the boy who was hopefully firmly in his clutches off to the side where he would land painfully on the wooden seat...well partially on the seat. Due to his size, the boy's upper torso would be hanging off the side of the seat affording only a view of the wagons wooden frame while is back and legs were exposed to Enro.

Ordinarily, this would the sum of a shinobi's attack - or in this case counterattack- but Enro had always been quick with his blows. Against most enemies he could attack twice in the same time an ordinary shinobi would attack once. It was this trait that sent the point of his katana down deep into the boy's leg, specifically behind his knee. If the boy was a winded as he should be from being slammed onto the edge of a sturdy wooden frame, the katana would cut right through his flesh and hopefully through his knee to pin him to the wagon.

((If any of my responses don't make any sense feel free to PM me for clarification! Also I based the response as if Senji came from the side since he threw a kunai to release the oxen))
