She takes a glance at the new character "An interesting development for sure." She realises Riddel is still with me. "Riddle me this Riddel" Smirks "Sorry, I couldnt resist. Why did you tell me you were Austin?" A starnge aura eminates from the girl at the table. "If you would excuse me a moment sir." Walks over to the girl and smiles. "Good evening Miss Phae" She curtsies.

Phae nodded her thanks to Austin. She was quite pleased when he walked away. He didn't seem offended. He just understood her wanting to keep her distance from people. She appreciated that. She didn't want to upset anyone. She was thankful she hadn't met anyone overly sensitive.
As she was cutting her cake she heard another voice beside her. This time it was female. "Evening." She said simply. She didn't exactly smile, but she tried to not scowl either.

She laughs and takes a seat at the snack table her black and red robe flowing around the seat. She takes a long hard look at Phae and hesitates before saying but goes on to say finidng the right words "Have you ever notice Miss Phae, that your aura is off from others? This is not a bad thing, just something that I have discovered myself."

Finding nothing particularly interesting on the end of the table he was searching, Austin made his way back down the table, moving calmly around Phae(While taking a short glance at her, of course) to the mini-bar set up at the end of the table. He grabbed a martini glass and a shaker, and began grabbing for the smaller bottles. when he'd finally settled on an older looking bottle of Gin, he poured a small amount of it into the silver bottle, and followed it with a minute amount of aged dry vermouth. Upon shaking it vigorously, he poured the contents into his glass, and garnished it with a toothpick and three olives. He took a small sip of his drink, and coughed slightly. That was some damn good Gin. He took another baby-sip, enjoying the strong flavor of juniper. He turned around, checking out the room again. activity had died down a bit, but a low hum of conversation could still be heard.

Phae blinked her violet eyes at the woman. "I figured as much." She spoke softly. She wasn't sure about auras, or what they were. But she figured anything of hers would be off. She was curious however. She sat down in a chair, her feet dangling inches from the floor. She cut into her cake and took a bite. She chewed slowly and savored the flavor and then continued. "How is it off?". She cursed herself inwardly. Why did she care what someone thought of her? But she was curious. She'd make sure to keep the conversation quick however.

She looks at the girl curiously wondering how old she was that she could have this genetic defect. "Usually" says smiling "Humans have a usual aura, two red stripes. Vampires are a little more difficult, and werewolves and hybrids and so on. But you have a variation in your that I cant seem to figure out. Tell me young one, where you a crossbreed? Or do you just have a genetic defect in your family. I dont want to be rude, but Im a scientist. Curiosity is my nature."

Austin found, out of all the conversations being had, the one Phae and Luna were having to be the most interesting. Maybe because Phae was closest and theirs was the easiest conversation to hear, or maybe because Phae had an Odd way about her he himself found strangely similar to his own. Either way, even with alcohol, this party was getting stale for Austin's tastes. He picked up on Luna's interest in Auras, and, thinking for a moment, figured out a way to have a bit of fun. He turned away from the pair, and closed his eyes. He closed his mind, and all went pitch black.
He pressed his anger, his hatred, outward in waves. They weren't visible waves of energy; only perceptible waves that could be felt with the right senses. He was manipulating a threatening aura, and shifting the entire thing over Luna's table. Once it had disconnected from himself, he allowed it to drop down on the two. Once felt, it would be dizzying and frightening.

Phae shoved the cake into her mouth. She was now regretting staying in this conversation. She made a quick survey of the room. The door was too far away to be able to make a quick escape, or else she would have been out of there. But no, running away from a conversation was rude. It was her own fault for replying. She'd have to stick with it, although it was really killing her to do so.
"Something like that," She mumbled. She said the words 'genetic defect' again in her mind. That was a good explanation. She was pretty sure that was what it was. She was sure she was all human. She hadn't really gone over her past that much. Her mother was dead and she never knew her father, he died right before she was born. Hitomi wasn't even her blood relative. She was her Father's adopted sister. She had no idea about who her family was, or whether or not there was something special about them.
Why wouldn't she think of an excuse to get up? She went over ideas in her head but nothing seemed to sound good enough. She mentally kicked herself.

By the time Luna has reached him, Varon had already left the building. As he'd felt the impact of another person upon him, Varon fluidly rolled to the side and allowed the momentum to continue forward and unto the floor instead of against him. His countenance shifted into a slight scowl at the lack of grace in her failed attempt as she still faced the ground, straigtening his features as he bent down and offered her a hand, "It seems it is I, who owes the other an apology."
Varon helped her straighten up and regain her footing, speaking up once she held her own, "Now that we have the unceremonious greetings, out of the way, why not start with introductions? Lucien Lachance, sorcerer employed by this fine institution." He bowed his head and spread his arms out in a slight theatrical gesture, "And by what name would my newfound companion go by?"

Zexon paused, peering up at her quietly for a moment, as if debating how to answer. The voice in which he replied sounded a bit hesitant. Yes, I'm simply a bat, he said at length, his little eyes darting toward the oblivious Aki again. I'm incapable of doing anything really impressive. He wondered for a moment if she was capable of reading minds as well, and hoped that she couldn't. He and Aki shared many important secrets that were, or could be, quite literally a matter of life and death. My purpose is to keep Aki comfortable and never allow her to be alone.

Phae couldn't sit there any longer. Luna or whatever her name was causing an adverse affect on her heart. Normally she was very in tune with her emotions. Things bothered her, but she didn't allow it to affect her or others. She could hide them and pretend like nothing was wrong.
However right now the term 'genetic defect' kept playing in her mind over and over like a broken record. She could almost picture her mother standing over her with a pointed finger. This was stupid, she doubted that her mother would ever blame her. Even though it was her fault.
Phae acted as though she was gazing around the room. When she stopped at the clock she gasped. "Would you look at the time?", she leaped up in mock amazement. "I'm so sorry. I've got somewhere I need to be."
She didn't wait for her to say anything. She shoved past the other party goers as well. When she reached the door she noticed it was blocked by many people. Too many to shove through, and she really didn't want to talk to them. She had enough distance between her and the others from the party however and they would not notice her.
She sighed and slide down against the wall. She had one leg propped up, the other dangling out in front of her. Even though she was extremely short she had long and graceful legs. She leaned her head back against the wall and closed her eyes. Her hand clutched the amethyst that she always wore around her neck.

Adjusting his suit, he started to walk inside and looked around at all the lovely ladies who were talking, dancing and laughing. All perfect, he took another step and nearly stumbled over an out stretched leg but quickly regained himself. As he turned to find the offending object he found it to be a leg, following the leg he saw it attached to girl. He keeled before her and smiled in a half bow.
"Now why would such a lovely little princess such as you fine lady doing here all alone. Were you waiting for me all this time to whisk you into a night of merriment?" His blonde hair fell over his face for a moment, he pushed it back to show off his bright ice blue eyes and a handsome white smile. From his lapel he removed the rose and offered it out to the sitting woman.

Phae's already shot nerves were at there limit. "I told you I didn't want to dance with you!" she shouted before even looking at the man who had just sat next to her. She then noticed Varon, or Lucien...or whoever it was standing quite a distance away. She blinked her eyes and first noticed the rose that was being offered to her. It was a deep crimson red. She stared at it for several seconds before adverting her eyes from it to look at whoever was offering it to her.
He was not the other man, no doubt about that. Phae was having a very difficult time trying to process what she was feeling right now. His eyes were so blue. She blinked her own violet eyes several times then mentally kicked herself. What was her deal? "Sorry. I thought you were someone else." she mumbled and still she tried to turn away. But she couldn't.

A girl who looks like a clone of the Luna inside, except with kinder eyes turns red and curtsies back gracefully. "My name is Luna, Luna Bravenheart, vampire knightress among other things." Smiles brightly and laughs with a laugh that sounds like bells. "It is certainly nice to meet you."
