Amune, though a little startled by the voice in his head, continued to stroke the ferret, a little less timid now. His fur was soft and clean and delightful beneath his fingertips. His clear blue eyes rose to Sam again, a smile brightened them considerably, as well as a slight blush, "....I....really appreciate that.....thank you, Sam,"

Kael frowned slightly, watching Acelin. The boy was obviously deep in thought. "Hey..." he said softly, concerned. "Are you all right?" He gave Acelin a gentle hug, worried that maybe the effort to work his magic really had taken a heavier toll than it appeared. The boy's eyes were distant, if nothing else. "What's on your mind?" the albino inquired. ******** Esqyn smiled softly, glad to see Louie doing better. He rubbed lightly behind one of the boy's ears, cuddling him close. He blushed a little at the first comment, a bit shyly, but smiled even more brightly. "You'll help lots of people, I'm sure of that," Esqyn told him. "And as klutzy as so many of the people here are -- especially the teachers -- I'm sure you'll get lots of practice, too." He considered the boy's alignments for a moment. They were an interesting combination, certainly. "Well, for one, there's me," he said with a wry grin. "For Light, as well as healing in general. You'll probably have some other healing classes with Kael, even though Spirit isn't one of your natural talents, there is a lot he could teach you. Gaia will be teaching you to use Earth based magic, and...." he trailed off, frowning a little bit. Hydor, the Element of Water, had died, a while ago, during some of the more violent battles of war. No one had risen to replace her so far. "Well, I guess we'll just have to see, won't we?"

Acelin was far deep that he hardly heard Kael only comming out of his thoughts slightly when he was hugged. He cuddled closer to him. "Yea, I'm fine." he said as he tried to sort his thoughts out a bit. "Hm. Another memory. A room dark, so dark that it seems impossible for light to penetrate as well as a rustling sound almost something like chains maybe." he said as he glanced up at the man, "Do you know if there is such a room?" he asked curiously.

Kael listened as Acelin described the memory, frowning in thought. "I haven't seen a room like that, myself, but there are hundreds, if not thousands, of different rooms here, so I wouldn't really know. We could probably look around a bit, though. It'll give me a chance to see a bit more of this place, anyway." He held the boy close, blushing a little as Acelin cuddled closer in response. "Are you feeling well enough for exploring, though?" he asked.
As if on cue, Ahkra surveyed the disorganization that had taken up authority over the class in the wake of the test. Louie had taken quite a toll from the smoky quartz, and Acelin was probably tired from displaying what he knew, as well. "All right," he said, speaking up a bit. "That's it for today, for classes. Rest up, unpack, and explore if you'd like. I'll be around later tonight to drop off some homework to each of your rooms." He winked, and strode off, humming as he wondered where Arc had gone to, a sly grin tugging at his lips just at the thought of the boy. ******** Elan purred loudly, sprawled out delightedly in Amune's lap under the blissful touch, snuggled close. He was easily comfortable being with Sam and Amune, and happy to keep the two company. A small yawn escaped him, tail twitching, and he glanced around the room curiously, getting a bit fidgety. He mewled playfully, sneaking into Amune's shirt to stick his little white head out the top and lick Amune's cheek cutely. ******** ((OOC: Hope everyone is doing well! Just wanted to let you guys know that I've been working on re-organizing the first page of this thread to make it look a bit better. I still have some pictures and things to add, but it's nearly done. If you'd like, you can delete the posts where you put up your profile, because I've put everyone's profile up on the first page in the student section. There are all sorts of other helpful goodies, including stone and metal correspondences for different elements, a description of the elements, all the teacher profiles, etc, etc. If there's anything special you'd like to request, too, feel free to ask! I've also included a "Floorplan" section. As you explore the castle and discover new rooms, you may find a pet, a magical object, a cursed object, a crazed monster, a mystery, or any other sort of thing (heck, you might end up 'walking in' on a couple of the teachers or something... XD ). So explore! You can go into any already discovered room, or venture off into unknown corridors. And don't worry about running out of rooms.... the Academy is ridiculously huge. Let me know what you guys think of all the new changes! I hope you like them!))

Acelin listened, it wasn't surprising much that Kael doesn't know of the room. The academy was huge, bigger than he could ever believe was possible. He stayed there for a moment, his eyes closed. He didn't think of anything but at the question he nodded. "I'm fine." he said. The magic didn't take a huge toll, something more of like after decnt day of excerize.

Louie smiled and sighed happily as his ear was stroked. "Well..I'm glad I'll have classes with you its good to have a familiar face to see." he said happily. "Especially one has handsome has his." he thought to himself. He was glad Ahkra hadn't reprimanded Esqyn he though their closeness would be inappropriate but apparently it didn't matter here. He looked around for a moment "We should all go exploring I'd like to take a look around this place."

Kael nodded, a bit relieved. He stood up, holding a hand out to Acelin to help him up as well. "That's good," he replied, smiling. "Well, we have three choices, if we're going to go looking for it. The upper levels, the main levels, or the lower levels. It doesn't really sound like any of the rooms I've seen on the main levels, so it might be that it's either in the upper levels or lower levels, but you'd probably have better luck guessing which one than I would." He waved over to Esqyn and Louie as Acelin and he made their way out of the room. "Lead the way." ******** Esqyn smiled softly, also secretly glad to have Louie as one of his students. Ahkra had turned a blind eye to their closeness, but it was more or less expected. The only times Ahkra would make a fuss about something like that was if he wanted to be included. Which, incidentally, was pretty often, but either way, the school was very laid back in that regard. Most of them had pretty open minds when it came to that sort of thing, anyway.
Hearing the second comment, Esqyn grinned. Louie's enthusiasm was a sign that he was already feeling a lot better, and it relieved the elf greatly. "Sure thing," he said, feeling like a bit of adventure himself. "It's a pretty big place, and I haven't even seen close to all of it myself, either," he told Louie. "So, which way should we go?"
((OOC NOTE: When exploring rooms, keep in mind that there are three major sections of the academy. The upper levels, the lower levels (also called the underground), and the main levels. You'll find the most common rooms, such as the auditorium, main library, kitchens, and all of the students' and teachers' rooms. There won't be too many mysterious, forgotten rooms here, but you might be lucky enough to find a secret door or corridor. The upper levels and underground are largely undiscovered or forgotten, and may not have seen people in quite some time. Therefore, they'll probably hold the most mysterious things. Keep an eye out - in some rooms, there are clues to finding something or unlocking something (a new room, object, etc) as well as other useful things. These will usually be in bold, to be brought to your attention. You can explore as many rooms as you'd like today. All new rooms will appear along with their description, in the Floorplan on the first page. Also, new clues may appear in already discovered rooms. The Floorplan will have all clues or objects, etc, which haven't been used or discovered or are still available highlighted in bold. Be sure to keep an eye out for new things, because I'll throw them in there pretty often.))

((OOC: It sounds like a really large scavenger hunt lol))
Acelin thought for a moment, logically the room would seem to be located in the lower levels. But with the way this castle could be made, it seemed that may not be the case. He thought more about the memory trying to recall anything from it. But ended in futile feeling small pressure. He didn't want to exhaust himself more than he has already. Though he wasn't too sure about leading. "I think he should start in the lower levels, and work our way up." he said "but I don't know how to get there."

Louie got up he was feeling much better in all respects. It seemed being around the other always made him feel better, better then he had ever felt before in his whole life. Even when he had been with his parents things had never been so comfortable for many reasons. He had a feeling his mother had never liked him he was never sure why but luckily he had been very close with his father. This was one of the reasons why he preferred men to women usually. He looked around and sniffed the air a bit as if trying to sense which way to go. "Down..I think.." he said thoughtfully.

Kael nodded. "Not a problem, I know where the staircases are." He smiled, and began leading the way down winding corridors and halls, and eventually reached an archway, which lead into a set of wide, spiraling stairs. "Shall we?"
The descent was long, and sunlight faded as they made their way into the lower levels, replaced by small magical lights, glowing balls of light like a cluster of fireflies hovering in place. The sounds of people faded, until only dusty silence remained. Eventually, the main staircase ended at a long, large hallway carved from the stone of the earth. The hallway continued on for quite a ways, opening up into a cavern up ahead, whereupon it became a path, and then a bridge over a chasm, and a path again. To either side of the hallway were doors, most likely leading to other corridors and pathways, or neighboring caverns. The building down here had changed from something architecturally fashioned to a living place, carved from the earth itself, nearly as ancient. "All right," Kael said, glancing between the different directions. "That's as far as I know. There are probably other small stairways leading further down, and many rooms along this path, but I'm not familiar with any of them, so you can take the lead if you'd like. Just..." he frowned a bit in concern, "please don't strain yourself, trying to remember. Things will come back on their own, if you give them a bit of time." ******** Esqyn smiled, cuddling Louie close one more time. "Sounds good to me," he told the boy happily. He led the way through snake-like corridors, almost getting lost a few times himself, before eventually reaching an archway, which lead into a set of wide, spiraling stairs. "Well, here we are. From here, we can head down into the lower levels," he commented. He heard voices below, and wondered curiously whether Kael and Acelin had decided to go the same route.
Esqyn started down the stairs with Louie by his side. It was a long way, and sunlight faded as they made their way into the lower levels, replaced by small magical lights, glowing balls of light like a cluster of fireflies hovering in place. The sounds of people faded, until only dusty silence remained. He could see a hallway coming into view below, leading into the maw of the earth from which the lower levels were carved.

Louie held the others hand tightly. Despite the beautiful lights it was a little too dark for his tastes. He prefered brightly lit places really and was getting a little scared. He felt safe with Esqyn there though. He stopped hearing the voiced ahead of him his acute senses telling him the other two had taken the same route. "Should we call to them? Maybe we should travel together?" he asked despite the fact that for some reason being around Acelin made him feel weaker somehow.

As the two decended the stairway, Acelin mind seemed to keep flashing between past and present. A few times stumbling over something. At the bottom he placed his hands on the cold walls tacking comfort from it. Acelin felt at peace here down in the darkness his eye took only seconds to adjust as he saw the bridge and cavern. He looked around, closing his eyes he cleared his mind. Instead of letting his mind remember he was going to let his body.
A few moments passed until he opened his eyes. Through the silence he heard echos almost sounding like Esqyn and Louie. He focused a bit more keeping his mind clear. "Mmm left." he said his voice having more of a happy cheer than before. Despire how his answered sounded a hint of him being unsure could determined, then again he didn't really know where he was going.

Kael nodded, watching him a bit, and let Acelin lead the way through the door to the left. As he shut the door behind him, another cavern came into view, a stone path bridging over the chasm below. Clear quartz crystals caught the dim light of the glowing orbs both above and below. The place was so vast that Kael, even with his excellent darkvision, couldn't make out the ends of the cavern to either side. He could only barely see where it ended, up ahead, leading into another tunnel. He sighed, eyeing the precipitous drop to the bottom warily, shifting a bit uncomfortably just at the prospect of falling. Wings or no wings, it looked like the maw of some great beast. He could just barely make out three doors up ahead on the far wall, across the bridge. "Be careful," he said softly. ******** Esqyn squeezed Louie's hand reassuringly, keeping close to the boy, easily able to see that the darkness was making the boy nervous. In an attempt to soothe his nerves, he lit a bit of extra magic, his own, which followed behind them to light the way ahead with sunlight. The hallway continued on for quite a ways, opening up into a cavern up ahead, whereupon it became a path, and then a bridge over a chasm, and a path again. To either side of the hallway were doors, most likely leading to other corridors and pathways, or neighboring caverns. "It's up to you," he said, "whether you want to catch up with them or explore on our own." He smiled reassuringly and kissed the tip of Louie's nose. "Lead the way."

Acelin apprached the bridge as he stepped on it his body froze with something like terror. Automattically his mind and boddy surpressed the memories that wanted to flood his mind. He breathed deeply several times trying to control the building fear. He knew he needed to cross this. He stood up, he didn't even realize that his legs collapsed underneather him for a moment. He looked at Kael giving him a reasuring smile. He took another step on the bridge forcing the feeling to just run across it.
He kept his eyes closed despit the darkness he didn't want to see the bridge, nor the cavern below. He just wanted to get across this bridge. When he finally did he felt like collasping to the ground in relief but forced himself to remain standing. "I ahte that bridge." he mumbled he didn't know why all he knew was that once he found the place he was looking for he only had to cross that bridge only once more.
He looked around calming his body as he thought himself. He pointed in the direction straight. He wasn't sure if he could trust his voice at the moment.

Louie smiled and looked at the long bridge over the dark chasm. He shook with fear as he looked at it. "Well...Acelin did seem to want to be left alone he would of called to us if he wanted more people with him so we should explore by ourselves I guess." he said nervously now clinging to Esyqn. Somehow he thought exploring would be less terrifying.
