I've been dreaming for so long...
... To find a meaning, to understand...

• ◄AKIHI► •

"Ah..." Akihi smiled slightly at the dancer. "I-I'd love to..." He nodded slightly, reaching over to another table to take a chair. "Th-thank you--"

The sudden crash made him yelp in shock again. He turned his head, staring in confusion at the person who had just fallen onto the table. Something seemed off about him... Ah, whatever. Grabbing a chair, he pulled it over and sat next to Ninian.

Wait... what?! Akihi blinked in confusion when Ninian introduced Roy as her son. He looked at Roy, and then at Ninian, and then back at Roy. His eyes widened slightly. I guess there's the similarities, but still... She looks so young!! "P-pleasure to meet you, Roy..." The mage managed to choke out past his shock. I guess looks can be deceiving...? He hesitated for a moment, fiddling with the sleeves of his robe, before asking a question that was bugging him for quite some time.

"... A-are things around here always this strange around here...?"

Lilith sat alone trying to ignore the craziness around her until a man bumped into her table, she looked up for a quick moment and caught a glimpse of his face then quickly put her head down again as not to get herself involved in anything

Roy completely ignored the events that involved the random couple falling on their table to begin making out. Rather, he preferred not to see it, for it would lower his respect for the establishment and probably prevent him from ever coming back, even if there was cake. He also heard Mel get up and drag someone outside after there sounded like a collision. He opened one eye to take a look. Joshua was gone. So Mel had decided to fry the redhead swordman. A shame. He noticed Lance (that was his name, right? He was talking to Ed back at the party) grab some drinks before heading out, probably to stop Mel from burning Joshua's life away.

He closed his eyes and took another gulp of the milk he held in his hands (good thing he was holding his drink. If he had left it on the table, it would have surely fallen over from the random couple). He heard his mother speak and he glanced up at the person she was talking to. A mage of some sort? It seemed Mother was an acquaintance of his. That was nice.

There was then a crashing sound, and his mother asked who it was that had bumped into the table. The young lord took a glance. It was Ziaram. He informed his mother who it was before he took another gulp of his drink. He was then introduced to the man (Akihi, was it? Sounded similar to Alihi. Were they related? It was probably best not to ask).

"Pleasure to meet you too Akihi." said the young lord with a smile. The question was then asked, and he could only shrug. "No idea...it's my first time here too. I hear this place only opened recently, so I can't tell if it's always like this, or if it's just today."

Keeping his eyes on the dragon, Ziaram did not flinch this time...for this time he would be ready in case of another attack...yet it wasn't moving. This confused Ziaram, and then hearing its voice sent chills through his body. My reaction? No hope to beat my enemy... Oh that angered Ziaram, yet he kept his head in a cool zone, and he could tell this dragon wanted to mock him. "Very well...if this is something you are after, then come for me...the Impersian here." Keeping his eyes on the dragon to watch for its reaction.

Loch hadn't responded in the first minute or so since Annis questioned him, and by now, she was getting impatient. Not to mention the fact that an unfamiliar man--well, vaguely familiar, but she didn't know his name or where she might've seen him before--was talking to someone that didn't seem to be there. He had even crashed into a table and was now demanding information from his imaginary friend, but no one else seemed to have noticed him.

Weirdness censor, much?

Annis brushed a few crumbs of cake out from Loch's pretty blonde locks and put one fist on her hip. "All right, then. Why don't we just head on out of here? I think everyone else is busy, and after that, I don't know how much you really want to stick around." Annis put one hand on his arm and started to lead him out, her wings settling comfortably against her back. Before disappearing through the door, Loch in tow, Annis looked over her shoulder and called, "You might want to have someone check on the guy talking to his imaginary friend! Fellow probably needs a whack back to reality." With that, Annis was gone, swatting at a few more crumbs stuck to the back of Loch's jacket.

"What did you even go in there for, anyway, if you don't mind my asking?" Annis folded her hands behind her back once they'd walked about a block away from the cafe. She wasn't entirely sure if she was leading him anywhere specific, she was just... walking. The raven tossed her head to the side to flick some hair from her green eyes and watched Loch in curiosity, eyes focused on his face. "Just cake?"

((Quick+late reply, moving Lyre out of the cafe unless someone wants to NPC her, because I totally don't have the time right now to be keeping up with her.))

"I have no idea if Kris has noticed yet- I haven't actually said anything to him myself, so..." She gave a quick nod to Ninian, and dashed off to the kitchen for another mug of hot chocolate- with marshmallows. She'd had the heated milk already on the stove because of the other hot chocolate that had been made, so it wasn't too long that she came back with the order and set it down on the table for the dancer.

"I'm glad you're here though, Blossom, I've been here all morning and I was sort of working while you were at the party even though the cafe itself was closed, so take the rest of my shift, would you?" She didn't wait for a reply, simply untied her apron and gave Blossom a quick pat on the head before vacating the premises.

Blossom barely kept up with Lyre as she spoke rapidly, then immediately flitted off to the kitchen. She reached up to adjust her bandanna, tightening the tails of fabric that held the knot closed, and then Lyre was back and holding out a mug for the teal-haired Ninian nearby.

"O-Oh! Of course, I can handle your shift!" Blossom smiled brightly at Lyre, knowing where a few extra aprons were; the one for her own uniform was, well, at home. "And I'm sorry about all this." Blossom rushed off to get an apron once Lyre had disappeared, returning in less than a minute with the purple frock looped over her head and tied around her waist.

"All right, then!" Blossom chirped, scooping up a pad and pen. Time to get to work! She looked over at Ziaram curiously, concern flitting across her expression. Who was he talking to? Blossom looked at the other people in the cafe; no one seemed to be talking to him.

She walked over to the company of Ninian, Roy, and an unfamiliar purple-clothed boy. "Do any of you know what's going on with him?" she questioned, pointing her pen in Ziaram's direction. "And, um, did all of you get your orders taken yet? Just want to make sure, of course."

Recognizing the young voice, Aruna looked down at the small dragon child addressing her. Somehow she was immune to this girl's cute charm. "I am a little busy, Fa," the serpentine woman said politely. "Why don't you sit at an empty table and call Blossom over? She can get you some tasty cinnamon rolls." She pointed to a small table with two chairs around it near the front of the café.

• ◄AKIHI► •

"I see..." Akihi muttered softly, glancing at the person who he was now convinced had some mental problems. He couldn't tell what they were, though; was it hallucination from some mental trauma? Or was the person really just insane?

He looked up at Blossom and shook his head slowly. "I... don't know, actually." The mage replied softly. "He's acting quite... strange, though..." His stomach gurgled softly and he remembered why he came inside in the first place. Food. "Uhm... could I have a slice of blueberry cake? And a glass of water, please?" He smiled slightly at Blossom.

The cafe begins to tremble, but it is of no harm; the quake is a minor occurrence, of a magnitude so weak that even the most fragile of trinkets would barely budge on their shelves. Nevertheless, one seems prepared to react with great alarm to this small event.

Blossom smiled brightly at the brown-haired boy and nodded once. She scratched down the order on her pad and tucked it into the pocket of her apron. "Blueberry cake and water, got it!" She glanced over at the man, then smiled once more at Akihi. "I'll be right back!"

Blossom darted into the kitchen, immediately beelining to collect up the necessary order. When she emerged a minute later with a slice of cake and a filled glass, she paused. An earthquake? Every cell in her body seemed to tense up and prepare for some great occurrence, but even as she waited, seconds passed and nothing more happened.

"...Overreacting," Blossom laughed sheepishly. She trotted back over to Akihi and carefully placed down his plate and cup, the smile back on her face. "Here you go. Should taste good, the baker's great at what he does." Blossom brushed her bangs off of her face. "That'll be it for you three?" When no one said otherwise (or after taking additional orders), Blossom darted off and went to see if anyone else needed something.

When we get home, I know we won't be home at all...
... This place we live; it is not where we belong.

• ◄AKIHI► •

While waiting for his cake and water, Akihi turned back to Roy. "Uhm..." He hesitated. How could he phrase his question without coming off as a weirdo?! "Is... this town always this... uhm... strange?" He blinked a few times; to him, Eyris was an odd place with even odder people. He hasn't decided if he liked the abnormality or not...

The mage smiled slightly at Blossom when she delivered his order. "Th-thank you." He picked up his fork and began to silently cut small, bite-sized pieces out of the cake, eating fairly quickly. He was hungrier than he expected, and the cake was just delicious. Before he knew it, he had an empty plate, with only a few crumbs on it. He raised the glass of water to his lips, taking a small sip...

"E-excuse me!!"

... And nearly spat it all out. Akihi turned, eyes widened slightly, to the entrance of the establishment.

Standing in the doorway was none other than Alihi Kaua. She was bent over slightly, hands pressing against her knees, breathing heavily. Once leaving Rath's office, she didn't dare to slow down; every moment that she spent waiting around was another moment Amara could be suffering. She knew she had to leave as soon as possible, but she also couldn't do this alone. "S-sorry for the interruption..." The tactician took a deep breath, standing upright.

"For those who don't know me, I'm Alihi Kaua... I am a tactician, and the mother of Amara, the girl who was kidnapped at the party."

She paused for a moment, letting the information sink in. She also needed a moment to regain her own composure. "I have been informed of her location. She is somewhere in Sentria!" Her eyes drooped closed. "... It'll take days to get up there." She shook her head slowly, her voice rising with intensity. "I need all the help I can get to insure that Amara returns safely. I would be foolish if I said I could do this alone! But..." Alihi opened her eyes again, staring at those inside the cafe. "... If you choose to follow me, you'll have to go as a rogue. Our ties to this country cannot be visible, for it could count otherwise as an invasion." She shook visibly, forcing herself to continue. "... For this reason, I would understand if you chose to stay behind. I wouldn't blame any of you for a moment..." She held back a small sob. "But please... I beg of you... Help me. Help me save her. Help me save my daughter..." She turned around, halfway outside, hiding the tears that were threatening to fall with every single mentioning of Amara.

"... If you wish to join me, meet me at the city gates in an hour. Be prepared... this trip is not going to be an easy one." Without another word, she slipped back outside, heading down the streets of Eyris.

(( For clarification, you are not required to follow. It's not like your involvement in the event would end right there if you chose not to follow Alihi to Sentria. It's just an option you can choose to take. :3 ))

[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ]

Blossom literally dropped her pad as Alihi suddenly appeared at the front door. Her pen tumbled out of her fingers and rolled underneath a nearby chair, but Blossom didn't move to pick it back up from the floor. She let her blue-grey eyes focus on Alihi's panting form, mouth hanging open in surprise.

She didn't say a word as Alihi spoke, explaining the situation. Her words buzzed in Blossom's thoughts, bouncing against her skull. To leave the country to rescue someone was all well and good, but at the risk of revealing their country and instigating the idea that they were invading Sentria? Blossom had to suppress a shiver. They had dealt with enough war and fighting just within the country in the past year to last them for a decade; the idea of suddenly creating a cross-country brawl made Blossom's skin crawl. Too much blood. Too much fighting.

Too much heartache.

At this thought, Blossom instantly reached behind her back and yanked the bow holding her apron around her waist free. Was she going to get in trouble for leaving work this early after arriving late? Yes, she was. Was she going to help Alihi rescue her only daughter, to preserve what tiny family she had in Learania? Yes, she was.

Blossom glanced back at the people in the cafe, then ran right out the door and after Alihi. She paused halfway down the street, though, and headed for home. Gotta get my sword. Amara's kidnapper is going to be with her... and most likely, there'll be a fight. Gotta be prepared.

No one's dying today, though. I'll make sure of it!

Ooh! This was all too confusing! One thing led to another and the next thing the little sniper knew, she was on the floor..AGAIN! The 2nd time was due to an earthquake. More or less..a simple...quake....nothing broke aside from the glass cups that were in the cafe.

once passed, Elly stood from where she was, pattingn the dust off she had collected on her swallow-tail coat. That was then she suddenly jumped at the entrance of that of another person. One in particular whom wore a green cloak, green tunic and pair of white pants. The words rang through her head, aside from the fact that this was the mother of the little girl Elly had heard about. Knowing this wasn't in her nature, she stood from where she was and followed the person outside. "U-Um! Excuse me!" Elhaym called, but no answer. Rather then get an answer, Elly followed anyways. Her business here in the cafe somewhat done..but she couldn't leave someone in need of help.

The bow that hung on her back shimmered in the light, the sniper pulled it off her back and held it against her. "Watch over me?"

Roy had made another order of chocolate cake, with lots of icing, before he looked at Akihi. The question about the town was asked, and if it was always this strange. He sighed before he polished off what was left of his drink and set his glass down on the table.

"It's an odd town, I'll say that much. Always something weird going on around here. Just a few weeks ago, there were a couple of murder cases. And before that, there was the thing with the Heroes. And I know Easter and the Winter holidays had its share of oddities. So yeah...Eyris is pretty strange. Then again, I'm rarely here, so I can't entirely say for certain." the young lord replied to the mage.

He smiled up at Blossom when his order arrived, but he didn't have any time to devour it. Alihi has shown up and had made a request. It seemed as if they had found Amara's whereabouts, but it was in Sentria.

The desert? Hmm...maybe I can use this little rescue mission to get some information about my father's whereabouts. I'm getting bored of exploring the same areas...going rogue doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. Maybe I'll sever my ties with this place for a while. he thought to himself.

The young lord asked for a to-go box to put the cake in, then slipped it into his bag. His eyes glanced over at Akihi, wondering if the mage was going to help out the tactician (he had the confirmation he needed with the man's reaction. They were, in fact, related). He then kissed his Mother's forehead, gave Uncle FD a hug, then said his farewells before heading outside.

The city gates were the meet-up spot, were they not? He could go change out of his costume, gather his stuff together, and stock up on supplies within the hour.
