Bjorn looked at the small sack of coins he'd received. He didn't really want to be paid, but he couldn't refuse it. Oh well.
He pocketed it while Hana spoke. After she finished, he gave his own opinion.
"That's a good, but dangerous plan." he pointed out. "But it all hinges on one of us knowing where the prisoner camps are...and I do not know where they are."

"We know of a few," Aki said.
"The Gailor soldiers who pass through the area often talk about their locations," Hana said.
"Obviously they don't expect the Faren prince to be listening," Aki added.

((That worked out better in my mind. O.o))

"Then I am all for it." Bjorn said, looking at Aki. "Once we get a sizable force, we can start to spread the news around the continent...We might get more supporters that way. Or we'll attract Gailor soldiers...in which case we kill the soldiers, and continue on our way." he said, nodding to himself.
"Yes, freeing prisoners is a good plan."

Kai left the sack of gold he received on the table; He had no need for material goods.

Kai listened intently to the plan. It was sound. Though a few issues do exist, they could be handled later. It was an efficient way to quickly amass support in the country.

"There is one thing we must be wary of. How are we to provide the resources necessary to amass the army? We do not have the gold needed to feed them, much less outfit them for combat. We would need to find people, those with large amounts of gold and that oppose Gailor, without Gailor discovering our intent."

Kai continued "I feel the wealthy merchants in the country would be more than happy to assist us. I do not think that Gailor's rule had favored them so well."

Turning to the Prince, Kai asked "Dear Prince, do you know of any wealthy merchants or fallen royalty whom will join our cause?"

"Hm...You're right. We aren't exactly the wealthiest mercenaries," Hana said.
Aki closed his eyes for a moment as he thought. Then he reopened them. "We have escorted a few merchant caravans in the past. They may be willing to help. They may be even more willing once they find out that I'm the sole survivor of the royal family," he said.

Kai nodded, apparently satisfied.
We have to accept all the help we can get. Overthrowing Gailor would be a challenge, even with a full army.
A challenge Kai was secretly looking forward to.
I will not tarnish your name, Master Zhu.

Kai passed his eye over each one of his companions. Though they were all prepared to give their lives to overthrow Gailor, Kai could see that they were all drained.
Gazing out the window, Kai noted that it was now dark, the moon already reaching its zenith.

"In any case, the day is already over, the night usurping its reign. Any planning can be accomplished tomorrow; We are all weary from the events of this day. We should now go and get some sleep."

Bjorn nodded to himself. "This is going to work...and serve many purposes. A political statement that the Prince is back. A boost in manpower when we free the prisoners. And a propaganda blow, showing that Gailor cannot even keep his prisoners secured." he pointed out. He chuckled to himself at Kai's almost poetic way of speaking. The night usurping the reign of the day. He vaguely wondered if this man had ever thought of writing a book of poetry.
"Sleep is a good idea...might allow for the Prince's companion to digest the information he's been given." Bjorn added with a slight grin, motioning to James.

"There's one thing I want to ask you," Aki said. "How did you manage to escape? Hana and I were lucky that I knew of a secret passage out of the castle. But how did you two get out?"

As soon as the group had decided to settle in the for the night Nalken slowly walked inside the hut. "Excuse me kind sirs but may I ask who you are?" Nalken asked slowly sitting down against the wall as a small sack of gold was presented to him and he shooed it away, money wasn't something he cared for much anymore, Nalken looked at the group cautiously, he thought he recognized Bjorn but he was unsure if it was his memory beginning to go or not. "Are you the mercenaries I've heard of or just a band of fighters?" He asked closing his eyes for a second to take a breath then opening his eyes again and looking at them again.

"I cannot answer for Kai, but on my part, something one of Gailor's aides said got me thinking. I fled from the Throne Room...and be assured that it was quite a difficult choice. After I left, I went to find you. However, before I could find you, a large group of soldiers got in my way. I began to fight through them, but I could not win. I took many wounds and had no choice but to jump from a second story window. I then fled into the night. It pained me to do so, but I had to." Bjorn said, shaking his head sadly as Nalken spoke up. He hadn't heard the man follow him in. Bjorn quickly drew his claymore and swung it in an arc at Nalken, stopping a scant few inches from his neck.
"You attacked us. What does it matter to you?" he asked in a quiet, deadly voice.

"Calm down I did not nor did I ever fight you today." Nalken said closing his eyes again, he had wished that Bjorn hadn't stopped, war was always on his mind and anything Nalken had done wrong plagued his thoughts. "May I ask why you saved me from those bandits?" Nalken said slowly and clearly, he sounded as though he had aged quite a bit but it was just time slowly catching up on him.

Bjorn gave a sarcastic chuckle. "Oh really? No...you are correct. You did not fight us. Instead you lunged from the shadows with a dagger in your hands, straight at us." he corrected the man.
"And we did not save you, we saved ourselves." he corrected further, lowering the claymore so it's point rested on the floor, next to Nalken. He looked...familiar, to say the least.

"But I did not strike, therefore you weren't attacked and I collapsed before I could even make a move to harm you or engage in conversation so you base what you say on what you don't know." Nalken corrected Bjorn before pushing the blade aside. "Please save your blades for a real enemy I don't need or want to fight you so put it away." Nalken said looking at Aki and asked, "Who are you people if I may ask?"

"We are just common mercenaries here on a job," Aki said, looking at James from the corner of his eye. He seemed a little...distant, not surprisingly. He was fighting alongside his prince for two years and didn't even know. Aki could only wonder about how he felt.

Kai sat still as Nalken conversed with the big man Bjorn. He didn't wanted to involve himself in the affair. Not yet anyway.

When Nalken asked the Prince for his identity, Kai was instantly alert. He kept his eyes on the Prince, willing him to not let out their identity. Kai let out a small sigh of relief when the Prince did not.

Unlike, Bjorn or Nalken, Kai's memory of that day were clear. He knew that Nalken was the one that had engaged Bjorn in the throne room two years ago. How Bjorn could've forgotten that event eluded Kai.
However, Kai kept all of this hidden from his features. If Nalken were to find out that the Prince yet lives, he would most likely scurry back to Gailor.
Then our chances of success would dwindle greatly.

"What the young man speaks is true," Kai finally claimed, rising up from his seat. Walking over to Nalken, Kai offered him a smile.
"These people are a bunch of hired mercenaries here to escort me across this part of Faren. I've heard that there were many bandits in this area, so I took the precaution of getting some sell swords for protection."
