You are a very creepy optional boss that happens to be said to be stronger than the final boss, but are actually twice as easy to beat, because you happen to overuse Demi and you never cast any healing abilities on yourself and are also vulnerable to Holy magic, which the hero party seems to have a lot of. Once defeated, you disappear after whining about how you were supposed to be invincible. You leave behind you about five thousand gil, fol, gold, or whatever the currency is, a precious or key item that the party didn't really need, but were happy to have, and a lot of experience or ability points, or both.

A wandering warrior looking for a girl that gave him a rose. Joins the main character on his quest, and eventually finds the girl he's been looking for. It's been so long, her rose turned black.

A bodyguard for hire. Using his ridiculously large sword, he chops off everything but his enemy. He eventually gives it up for a either his fists or a small weapon, but his speed is drastically increased.
