As the pain began to subside Aleu took a deep and calming breath. Save for reliving some very unpleasant memories it hadn't been that bad. At one point Derecho had moved closer to her, likely to comfort her though in that moment she had been too distracted by pain and the memories to truly notice. Now however she could feel her brothers touch against her side and it all the more comforted her. They had always been close and always would be. The fact that they endured this trial together was truly special to her. As she glanced towards him Aleu then noticed a pain building in her chest. What was this?
A tightness gripped her heart, it was unlike anything she had ever felt before. Aleu wasn't sure what to make of it or if she could even handle the pain. Her heart had so much pressure on it she thought for a moment that she could very well suffocate right here where she sat. Was this how they were chosen worthy or not? To endure pain and those that could not handle it would be disposed of? No, that couldn't be it. Certainly this powerful wolf would not kill those that were not ready to wield such power. Her breathing had increased in response to the heaviness that gripped her chest, though it did nothing to save or distract her from the pain. She chanced a look at her brother beside her to see how he was fairing in all of this.
Must endure, she told herself mentally. It can only make one stronger, the pain will eventually go away. Paws shifted a bit as she waited for it to pass, hoping her heart could hold out for that long.

As the discomfort of the first invasion started to lessen Derecho blew out a slight breath of relief and chanced a look towards Aleu - she seemed to to be fine and he opened his mouth to say something to her, only to be clobbered by the second sensation which stopped him in his tracks. Not wanting to cry out and scare his sister who did not seem to be experiencing this reaction Derecho clenched his eyes shut and tried to suffer through it soundlessly, laying don and burying his muzzle in his paws.
Thankfully the sensation did not last long and as it receded Derecho remembered how to breath again.

Flit's chest squeezed shut on him and he closed his eyes, the pain too unbearable for him to take anymore. He wanted it to end and end now. Slowly, as he remembered how to breath properly, his chest expanded and with that the pain slowly began to lull away. He felt his body slide down to the ground, his chest heaving with the effort of him breathing easier now that they pain was gone. What was that?
