Kat waved the question off with a scowl, "Porsche, you were talking about a Porsche."

"And you made us drive the SUV. I feel no love, Jarred." Kat shook her head though regretted the movement and casually moved to the couch and curled up into the corner of it. She glanced back at Rook with a slight bit of regret on her face, knowing she had been a little bit brusque, but not exactly sure how to apologize, and not sure if she honestly should. She gently set her head to the side of the couch to let it rest some, smiling despite the pain at the thought that...even if he likely wouldn't let her touch it...there was a Porsche involved in the future.

Rex slowly trotted up to Kat, climbing slowly onto the couch and laying his head on her lap.
Jarred shrugged.

Kat smiled at the dog, pulling her hand momentarily away from her head to rub the soft fur of his ear. "Good boy, Rex. You can come sleep in my room tonight if Jarred snores too loud." She let out a small breath, the pain killers starting to make something of a dent in the pain.

Rex stared up at her, letting out a long sigh.
Jarred just rolled his eyes. "Alright, so what do we do now? The Keepers know about me, they know about you." He said, pointing to Kat. "And worst case scenario, they'll know about this place. We need to lay low, see what we can do about getting some recruits with more firepower."

"We don't know if they know about you, but it's safe enough to assume they do." Kat gave Rex another soft pat on the head, before looking up at Jarred. "They also now know about Rook and Roxanna, as well as Marcus, and more or less anyone who was there at the scene for the psychic to see. God I hate psychics."
"Laying low isn't going to do us much good. They'll recognize a pocket and try and stop it. We need to take Lincoln out, and use our group to do so."

Kat's look of regret wasn't unnoticed, and was greeted by a small, apologetic smile of his own, before Rook stood, wrapping the end of his mustache around his finger as he thought.
"Us gathering up more people just makes us a bigger target. Extra help would be nice... But, do we really want that bullseye on us?"

"We are a target though, especially now. At least we can be a target that's larger than they expect, that will always play to our advantage." Roxanna added. She was draped over the center of one of the couches, her legs tucked in a lady like fashion beneath her skirt.

"Not to mention Linc will be beating down on us until we get rid of him. I know him, he'll hurt family and friends to get at us, at least if he's out of the way the other keepers will play a little more fair." Kat continued to pet Rex as she talked, the headache fading into a bit of the distance due to the painkillers.

Jarred nodded. "So we kill Lincoln. Not sure what challenges there are in that, but if it's what needs to be done." He glanced around. "But what's worse, an old devil or a new god? If they realize we have the force to kill someone in charge like that, what will they send next? Whether we kill him or not, I still say we lay low. If we keep pushing, they'll push back, and harder. Killing Lincoln, at least I assume, won't stop the Keepers from sending goons at us, will it?"

Kat nodded, "Yes, we kill Linc. All I need is to find one scouting Keeper, get a long kiss in, and have him send a report to Linc. It'll lay a trap easily enough if it's coming from one of his own."
Kat glanced over at Jarred, "They'll probably send in some bigger guns. However, you can assume Linc would kill any one of us. The new keeper is more likely to abide by the rules. That alone will give us an advantage. He'd have to take us in alive if at all possible for a judgment at the council."
Kat smiled, "As for what happens after, it's probably best to decide and debate on a later date. That being said, my vote, we split into teams of two or three. Look out for keepers, and search out the people on that list in the process."
"I'd like to go with Jarred," She said, her decision solely driven by the Porsche.
