Kwubara's mind started to focus again. A faint sound came to his ears. The music gave his mind something to attach to and concentrate on. "Matariel." Sliped out of his lips a second time. He would have looked for the source of the music but talking took most of his strength. He just sat there and waited. If Matariel was out there, she could find him if she wanted to.

As it were, Motoko couldn't give a damn about Kwubara. She just smirked, and headed on her way, the younger girl standing next to her giving her a quizzical look before shrugging and continuing their journey.

Kwubara had a feeling that nobody was coming. A sudden itch came over him as he layed agents the rock. With the last of heis strength, Kwubara started to scratch his cut. The skin started to come off with each pass. Blue skin started to show were the cut use to be. With each section of new skin that appeared Kwubara got a little bit more strength.

After a quick rest to restore some of his energy, Kwubara rose from his seat and started to look for any signs that there were others in the area. He started to look for auras, and right away he got a hit. It was a faint. It would have been easy to follow the trail except for the mix of two different people and the speed it was fading. Still he had to try and follow it. It was the only way to find Neko, and with that Kwubara headed off to follow the trail.

Kwubara started to slow when he came to the wasteland. He came to a stop at his bloody rock. After looking around he didn't see Osi. Deciding that she would become so, Kwubara took out his partly smoke cigar. With a couple of poofs and his lighter the thing started to work. A thin trail of smoke started to form above his head as he let the addictive chemicals do their job.

Osi slowed to a half run, not too thrilled to run out to where she didnt sense a damn person. Trap, she had fallen into a freaking trap and running would not be a good thing right now. She hesitated to get close to him, smelling the hint of old blood and then seeing what she stopped at. Oh great, yah this was not going to end well. She smirked pleasantly, trying not to show the tinge of fear growing in her. Her stomach started to knot and the smell of his now lighted cigar wasnt helping. She stayed a bit back, watching him with her body as relaxed as she could muster. "Where is everyone?" She said into the wind, knowing if he was Nin he would hear, even though there was a considerable distance between them.

Kwubara watched as she started to hesitate. He should have found a better place to stop. He listened for a moment and heard her question. "They are through those trees" He said as he pointed behind himself. "Ok. Here's the deal. When you get to the academy, you can not mention me to anyone. They will not be happy that you had any contac with me. Now all you have to do is follow the trail." Kwubara waited for her to make the next move. He did not want to hurt her, but it was the only way to make sure that she was not forced under a cloud of suspicion.

Ahh.... So he wasnt a friend of the Academny.... That was never a good sign. Neither was the fact that he lead her here. Why would an enemy do such a thing? Osi didnt relax a bit and was more hesitant then before. "If you arent a friend there, then why lead me? What are your motives for giving your enemies another head to chase you down? Speaking of, maybe i should do away with you to begin with... If you truly say they are not happy with you little Rouge." She didnt look away from him, getting prepared to judge his reactions, and she didnt get anywhere closer to him or the path he was pointing her too. Her eyes narrowed softly at him, knowing that there was something more to this then he was letting on. He obviously cared... Something in his words had told her he must have been a student at one time... "You are hiding something, and i will not give you my back just for you to stab it."

Kwubara sighed and a pained look came on his face. "If I was going to hurt you I would have done it on that building. I lead you to the academy because they are in trouble and I am not at the top of their list of problem. I'm not the most stable person and I lost control. I did things I'm not proud of. I left before they could do anything to me. You don't seem like the type that would stab someone that has helped and didn't lie to you like they had been." Kwbara turned around and placed his hands at his side. More pain entered his voice. Kwubara was always to trusting with people he just met, but that didn't mean that he was stupid."Find then. Why don't you just stab mine." Kwubara made his body like a big bubble. If she did stab him he would pop and splash her with water. He made sure that if she threw something insted it would stick in.

Osi quirked her brow as his look changed. Trouble, great, as if that was what she needed right now.... At the least he seemed honest enough for the time.... Her hand slipped up to the collar under her scarf and she lightly traced her figure around the rim. With a sudden movement and a single word she invoked her spell, the charm glowing for a second and then turning back to a normal wooden dowel. "Given the things ive seen its not uncommon for one to save a victim until they are of use... And i dont stab backs unless ordered. " She sighed and then her image flickered with a speed she had no where came close to touching before. She was still facing him, but now she was in the way of the path he had directed her to. She opened her chakra slightly, spreading it neatly around them to so she could sense if anyone was near. "Now the question is, what would be more interesting. Technically i havent failed my mission, i have met a student of the Academy."

Kwubara was a little amazed at the speed the girl demonstrated. A soft throbing started to form in the mans head. It was not a good sign. It ment that he need his medication before his demonic side decided to show its self. There was one problem. He didn't have any. He didn't have time to make since he was stuck showing this girl to the academy. "Lets go. I got things to do." Kwubara said to the girl as anger started to seep into his voice. The man steped foward and was planig to hit her shoulder with his as he past her and started down the path. The sooner her got rid of her the better. "I'm an ex-student just to let you know." He added.

A weird shiver went up Osis spine, making her look carefully over the man. The hairs on the back of her neck slowly started to rise and she lightly crossed her arms unintentionally. It helped her from taking a step back though, which would have shown fear and cause her to become the prey in this little game. Something had changed in him, but she didnt know what just yet. As he spoke, the hint of anger was setting off all her defenses. Great, maybe she wasnt going to make it to the Academy... He walked to her and she predicted his path, deciding at the last minute to let his shoulder touch hers so she would be able to get more of his scent and hopefully a taste of his Aura. His voice again distracted her, and she almost cursed out from under her breath as her concentration failed. "Well mr Rouge, that doesnt convince me that they dont wish to kill you. And youve become much more interesting now. " She made sure her voice was lifted, more playful, with a bit of a quirk. She didnt let on any hint that her senses were freaking out on her.

The headach got a little worse at the sound of her voice. It wasn't her falt though. It was his demon, Judas. The angrier and more powerful Kwubara got the easier it was for it to take control and well it knew what buttions to push. "Do you know what they say about curiousity and cats? Because you are being a cat right now." It was a friendly warning even tho his tone didn't show it. His posture started to change along with part of his facal features. It wasn't like a completely different face it was just that he started to look darker like a shadow was over his face and more evil. He was starting to slouch. With each step it got worse untill it was a world class slouch. If the was an oylmpic event for slouching it would have won the brozne, silver, and gold medals. "If they wish to kill me they are welcomed to try. Just consider yourself lucky. Your the only reason I have to go back there. It will be all because of you that we are going to meet again." Venom seemed to seep out of the man's mouth as he spoke those last words as he headed into the woods and on his way to the kaze dojo. It wouldn't take the par long to reach it.

Osis turned to follow him only to hesitate when he wasnt looking directly at her. Something was definitely off, her senses were becoming clouded with the hint of fear. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and started to walk. It was always better seeing the world in emotions and auras, and normally it calmed her down, but something was wrong. "You have an aura like that woman..." She didnt even realize she had said it but she quickly opened her eyes and made sure there was distance between them now. "In the village, you were there, you saw her. That demon..." She kept her voice level and as neutral as she could. "But not completely, its laced within you own aura. Its not just people after you.." Yes, that sounded better... At least if she didnt think he was a demon then she would be able to keep herself from running.

Kwubara felt her hesitate but he kept walking. She would follow because she could do nothing else. Then he heard her talk. The girl's words stopped him in his tracks. Slowly, he turned around and faced her. Anger had turned to rage. Who was she to read his aura. Who was she to draw conclusions and compare him to others. Kwubara clenched his teeth as a fist started to form in his right hand. He started to close a little of the distance that was between them. Then something hit him. It was a scent. One he hadn't smelled in a long time. It was fear and the girl reeked of it. This changed things. Kwubara was taken so off guard by her that some of his anger subsided. The slouch vanished but his face remained the same except it seemed his teeth have gotten sharper. Was she scared of him or the woman? What did she find out from my aura. Those questions flashed in his mind as he looked at Osis. It was clear the wheels were turning in his head before he responded. “I suggest you drop it before you learn something you can’t unlearn. I would hate to see you scared.” It came out just as neutral and level as her words, and came with a rather toothy grin. With that, he turned around and disappeared into the trees.
(My next post will be it Kaze.)
