Keichii was down for the count. His facial expression was holding up quite nicely, but other than that... He was bemoaning the loss of the Shiro lineage.

Rakutsu was going to get it... once he was able to stand up straight again. Damnit, that was going to bruise...

It's a poor sort of memory. .

''Hmph'' Rakutsu casually stepped away from Keichii's body, turning her gaze back to the Mizukage.''Lady kage, i promise you I'll work very hard to pay off this debt.'' Her left hand now perched back in it's sling. ''And that's a promise i intend to keep.''

kenshin inconspiciously stood there slowly opening his eyes at the snow ninja.unlike his normal split sociopathic personality he liked the northern visitors from the snow so he gave them a small friendly smile breaking from his usual character, looking at his weapons reflection from the corner of his left eye he saw toy suspended in water not making his usual satanic face which, just staring at the mizukage as his hair flowed vividly in the minds waters when toy had seemed to sink disappearing out of sight into kenshins minds depths,a dark abyss.

kenshins eyes shifted to infront of him and he rested a tired gaze on everyone.

The Mizukage would have face-palmed if she hadn't found some amusement in the sibiling's little dispute. "Good. When Nyirei gets back she can help you find an appartment- " as if on cue, Nyirei came stumbling through the door, holding a new trashcan which she threw to the Mizukage. She caught it in mid-air, turned and hurled into it. She set it back down beside her desk. "Nyirei, take them to the housing district and find them an appartment. Here-" she pulled out three small, rectangular booklets and slapped them down on her desk. "These are meal tickets, each booklet has 200$ worth in them and can be used anywhere in Kiri for food. Of course they -and the appartment- are not free so I guess that'll just add on to how long you'll have to work." she spoke very nonchalantly- almost like a banker. The Mizukage was pretty stingy where money was involved. Just as Nyirei was about to take the meal tickets to give to Rakutsu and Keichii the Mizukage stopped her. "No. Kenshin- you do it! Take them to the housing district, building 9 and make sure they get settled in." she barked her commands at him and tossed him the three booklets then motioned for Nyirei to get her something. The young woman looked through one of the drawers on the other side of the room and pulled out a key. It had a tag on it that read
'9-7'
She held it out for Rakutsu with a kind smile.

Rakutsu nodded to the Lady Kage as if making a mental note of everything she was saying. Raku could only imagine what Keichii's face looked like when the Mizukage mentioned payment for the apartments and such. ''Ah, right i understand.'' She replied with a smile, Gently taking the keys from Nyirei. ''Thank you very much.'' She said with a soft voice.

kenshin shot a soft glance to rakutsu, then at the others....as quite as kenshin usually was he had said aloud with an actual emotional response "yes m'lady" and smiled and opened the doors for the others resting his head against the open door cooley looking up flicking his silky hair to the side.

Keichii was stone-faced again and trying very, very hard not to throttle Rakutsu in the company of potential witnesses his superiors. He'd wait until they got to their apartment. The one they'd be paying rent on. May the Tengu smite him now.

Keichii directed his glare at Kenshin--pissed off further by how... pleasant he was being. He stalked out of the room without saying anything.

Rakutsu followed after Keichii, she kept her distance, well aware that at any moment Keichii could turn around and beat the living crap out of her. As Rakutsu passed by Kenshin, she smiled brightly. ''Ah, sorry about him, he's like that with everybody. . .I think, Maybe it's just me.'' Raku now began to worry as she thought more about it.

"well,i guess i'll have to ask him later.....now let me escourt you." he had taken a pause staring cooley at her as he ran his hand through his hair finishing his sentance "and the others to your apartments....it would be a pleasure." he gave a small smile and quietly and slowly closed the door not to anger the drunken mizukage when he said taking one last look at his lands leader "m'lady" with a slight nodd.

Momentarily forgetting everyone else around her, the Mizukage groaned "Shouta- the sake's catchin up ta me. Fix it." She had dropped the strong front in her voice. Keeping one's composure after about 7-12 bottles of sake was not an easy task!

With a smug little grin, Shouta walked up to her and placed a glowing green hand on her forehead. After a few minutes he said, "There. That should ease most of the pain. I want you to come to the Medic Ward tomorrow. Who knows what that alcohol has done to your liver by now." he spoke, more commanding her to do so than suggesting it.

"Hmph. Yeah, you're right." Subtly, Shouta's eyes darted to the woman in the Mizukage's chair then back. "Ah, yes. Shouta, this is Lady Kusakage."

As if in sudden realization, he immediately, though not hastily, bowed to her. "My Lady." He noted that the Kusakage looked... in less than decent conditions to say the least. Being a doctor that had been the first thing he'd noticed. His eye gleamed with traces of concern, his left eye had remained hidden behind his hair. Not that it made a difference to his vision either way.

Turning back to the sickly woman, the Mizukage said politely, "I'm sorry, Lady Kusakage, for that little interruption. I just didn't want to keep thoes three waiting too long. Where were we?"

The whole while, she took the scene in and analyzed it from there.
The woman was a strong leader, no doubt about that. But something about ehr ruthless leadership emitted a sort of... Optimistic side of the blood and peril of war and struggle for survival.
Indeed, this woman was interesting. She just hoped the Hokage wouldn't use her as a pawn in her play for peace...
She then turned her dark eyes away from the Mizukage's genin and fiddled with her hands as she sat quietly in her seat.
... At least she got to keep the child; she, of all people, was left childless and husbandless when the last Kusakage attempted (many times, in fact) to divorce and kill her all for the sake of remarrying and breeding a son.
In the end, she emerged victorious from her husband's grasp and gained sovereignty not only as a woman, but as a wife and leader to the Kusagakure. Her people her children, and her village her love.
No more would she allow herself to have a master; she made sure of that.
However, that didn't stop her from having lovers in the past...
"Pleasure," she said to Shouta as gleamed at her.
"Yes," she said, turning her attention to the Mizukage, "I won't bore you with this, so I'll be very brief, my lady. In the past, we were one of the richest lands in the province, but that time has long been dead since this new threat emerged, and we, the Grass, have laid hidden and prepared to protect our land from the intruders that threaten our home. I just want you to know that if you need anything at all, I will be willing to help and offer my assistance. Despite the Leaf's alliance to us. They won't be much help to us, I'm afraid. Their loyalty only lies with the Falls. Seems these days that everyone's trying to figure peace; yet there's been no change made. Tell me, do you know strategy?"

The Mizukage listened to her intently. She was actually relieved to have another village she could rely on if need be. (The Leaf was to be called upon as a last resort ONLY! And Suijin doubted they'd lend a helping hand to the Mist anyway.) The Snow wasn't ridiculously far from the Land of Water, and though she had the utmost confidence in her shinobi she was still pretty much completely in the dark where it came to the battle tactics of the Tengu. She nodded when Lady Kusakage spoke her bit about peace, she agreed. In response to her question, the Mizukage let a small, almost arrogant smirk spread across her lips and said, "Naturally." She wanted to say- 'I should damn well hope so!' After all, one of the things she was known for was her excellence in battle strategy. According to Dev, it was one of the reasons she had been made Mizukage despite her..... "bold" nature.

"That's good," she said, relieve to hear that her majesty at least knew tactics and strategy when it came to warfare, "What I can provide won't help much in offensive advantages, but it'll at least provide you with defensive and political advances in the Bird, Earth, and Tea country as well as certain fuedal lords and families. That much, you can be sure. And you'll have to forgive me, but we're a little discrete on ninja; we've managed to shut ourselves off in the war, at least for a while until the alliance is complete. I'm afraid I have much on my hands now that the Masamune is lost somewhere in the Deserts."
She bit her lip when she mentioned that; of all the idiots, did it have to be Sazoru?! That lump of a sand kage?!
Why did father favor him the most? Why did he not think that she could be made kage just as well as she could in the Kusagakure? She was just as strong and just as smart!
... No. He only paid attention to her... When she played music.
When she danced, sang, and performed. That was the only time he'd listen to her.
Other than that... She was just a woman.
A painting that never moved...

The Mizukage said nothing, but nodded, coaxing her to continue. Any help, any information at all was welcomed by her with open arms. Being a new kage- she wanted to know anything and everything that just about anyone had to offer.
