Following after Des' voice, Toshi kept his focus on Inutai, so he didn't much take in anything he said. This probably would have been easier if their bond hadn't been broken. Then again, they wouldn't have been separated if that were the case. What else could he think of him? He remembered the day that Inutai decided to attach himself to him. The boy had only been nine years old, yet he started spouting all this destiny and 'I love you' nonsense and literally forced this weird relationship on him. Toshi couldn't say it was all bad, though.

Des continued to follow the silver cord, focusing on it and trying to tune out everything else. At some points the cord was little more than a twinkling thread and at others a very clear robe of silver. The times when it was thicker was when Toshi was more focused on Inutai.
Well, no worries. As long as it disappear completely, they'd be fine.
"I see him ahead," Des said, relieved as he pointed to a faint figure floating among the clouds. "It looks like he's alright--physically anyway."

Toshi faintly heard Des, and was relieved. He'd been worried. As Akutenshi had said earlier, it was not a good thing for their bond to be broken. Someone managed to do that without killing or harming either of them, so that was good, but Toshi still worried about the long term effects.
Inutai was there, curled up into a ball, his tail between his legs and his ears relaxed. If anything, he looked much like a sleeping puppy, all curled up into a comfortable position.

"Don't wake him up," Des cautioned. "He'd most likely panic and strong thoughts and emotions will just attract unwanted attention here. We'll wake him up once we get back." He looked around. "Both of you stay close."
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, focusing on Cheeva. His bond with her wasn't nearly as strong as the one between Inu and Toshi but he'd spent a bit of time in close contact with her so he had a good sense of her. And he knew how to focus here.
After a few moments, he caught sight of her silver cord. He opened his eyes and there it was stretching out before him. "Let's go."
Fortunately, they didn't have to walk far at all before he saw Cheeva floating ahead of them. He breathed a sigh of relief. "There she is."

"Come on, et's just water."
Cheeva scowled at Kered and curled her toes up in the sand. "Ha ha and also, ha."
Kered laughed, the wind lifting his green-tinted hair and tossing it into his eyes as he stood knee-deep in the waves. Cheeva laughed with him.
"Come on, love, et won' hurt you."
"No," she flopped back in the sand, eyes closed, arms spread wide to the sun. "I'm happy here."
"Oh, come on. Here kitty, kitty, kitty."
She cracked open an eye, waching him sneak forward. "Oh no you don't. Kitty-Kitty will scratch your eyes out if you even think about it."
"About what?" Kered dropped a hand onto her ankle.
"Kered, no. I said...hey!" she shrieked as he suddenly hoisted her up into his arms. "Kered, no!" she laughed. "No, don't, no...I'm serious, put me down you lout!"

"hmm I wonder where my nephew has gotten to...."
Zen sat on a table, anxiously kicking his legs like a kid.
"She's hallucinating!" Ky was rather surprised once they got closer to Cheeva. She was shouting at someone, Ky didn't know what to make of it. "This is one of your friends?" She asked to either Des or Toshi.

Des plucked Cheeva from where she was floating and began to carry her. She was smiling in her sleep--he was rather startled at the change in her face when she smiled. It was a pity she didn't do it more when she was awake.
Looking around, he decided they should go back a bit before leaving. Technically he could open a portal from any point in this plane but it would be easier for him if they left from the same or nearly the same point they'd entered. Especially with so many people.
"Let's go," he told the others. "We should be a little closer to the place where we came in."

Cheeva struggled, half laughing, half shrieking as he carried her into the surf.
"Kered, no, stop it!"
He laughed and shook his head, wading further out. "Nope."
"Kered, please..."
He laughed again. "Nope, tha's not et either."
Cheeva squirmed again as he pretended to trip, dipping her closer to the water. Her feet slipped beneath the cold surface and she dragged the free with a gasp.
"Kered...stop it!" she laughed and grabbed his head in her hands. "What about this?" she asked, pulling close to kiss him.

"Leaving? What about Toshi's friend?" Ky was completely distracted when the new found woman looked like she was going to attempt to rape Des. It was half funny, half creepy.

Des knew that Cheeva was dreaming about something happy. She'd been laughing quietly in addition to the smiling and she squirmed in his arms though she didn't seem distressed. It occurred to him at some point that she wasn't dreaming so much as hallucinating--something else that was common here.
He just tried to hold onto her and focus on getting them back. He was doing a pretty good job of it too. Until Cheeva snaked her hands up, grabbed his head and kissed him. Des stopped dead in his tracks and very nearly dropped her, he was so shocked.
His mind went a bit fuzzy and he wasn't entirely sure what to do. He just knew that if he woke her up now, it would be very bad because she would be pissed. So he tried his best to gently end the kiss without waking her from the hallucination.
Why on earth were his ears burning?
He clears his throat softly. "We...ah...should hurry," he said, his voice sounding strangely hoarse.

Toshi had picked up Inutai gently, carrying him much like a mother would an infant, balancing him on his hips. Almost immediately, Inutai had latched onto him tightly, albeit unconsciously, whimpering slightly as he did so. Unlike Cheeva, what Inutai was dreaming about turned into something not so pleasant. All Toshi could think to do was rub his back reassuringly. He was too focused on calming Inutai down to bother with what Cheeva was doing to Des. Not that he could see it anyway. Toshi was careful, though, not to wake the boy with his actions.
"Yes, we shall hurry. Inutai does not like this place very well."

"they're sure taking an awfully long time..." Zen paced around, "I really do hate being... normal...ly...."
He sighed to Angela and looked up.
"I really do wish we could go somewhere... else... and wait for them... I've almost died in this part of the castle twice now, rather not spend time here if you know what I mean..."

Akutenshi awoke from his nap, and stayed a few minutes just staring up at the ceiling. After that earlier incident, he felt a bit more empty than usual, which wasn't a good sign. But, then again, that was the usual side effect to losing part of one's soul. At least his wasn't as bad as Toshi's.
He could've used more time to rest, but he couldn't truly rest in a place out of his environment. Akutenshi stood and made his way out of the room, using the elevator Ky had showed him, and went back to the room he'd been summoned in. When he got there, it appeared no one was there. He frowned. "I wonder where everyone went. i never did get to speak with Toshi, and that red head with the cape never did thank me either." He sighed. "Though, I suppose it was done against his will..."

"Well, can't we go somewhere else then?" Angela asked. "We don't know how long they'll be gone so there's no reason to wait here for them. Ky seems to know her way around so wouldn't it be alright if we went somewhere else for a bit?"

"ah! speak of the devil.. or fiend in our case, Akutenshi's awake!" Zen poofed them right over to the demon, without a word of warning.
"Enjoying strolling through my castle are you?" Zen wasn't exactly thrilled with the demon.
