Dusk shrugged. "Yeah, your point?" She stuck her tongue out. "I've survived this long, haven't I?" Taking another bite of the sandwich, she looked at him oddly. "By the way...what kind of adult gives alcohol to a kid?" No, she wasn't a kid...but she sure didn't look legal.

"The point is...I have to do this job so that I won't have any obligation to the employer ever again or else there will be unnecessary bloodshed happening." He looked her over and then met her gaze. "Well then kid, what little girl like you enters a strangers home?"

Dusk twitched at being called a little girl, but she did start this, so she couldn't object. "Someone who knows that she could take anything that some old guy could dish out." Her eyes turned hard. "And how do you know that there won't be an issue like this again? People....people turn as quickly as they join, as you should know. If one person did something to piss you off this much, another will too. Maybe not the same thing, but it's gonna happen."
Dusk shrugged. "Yeah, I make a lot of enemies, but not many that know who I am. And most of the ones that know me know me not for stealing."

Kyoshi went over to the cabinet and took out another fresh pack of cigs. He took one and lit it while turning around to look at Dusk. "I know there won't be another issue like it again." Holding it between his long fingers, Kyoshi. "Are you saying that your going to be that other person to piss me off? Or maybe turn on me when I'm asleep? I guess I should start sleeping with a knife under pillow now that I know your around." He gently teased her. There was something about her that seemed vulnerable. She seems to be cautious about her surroundings and especially men. Kyoshi wasn't going to mess with her that much so that he didn't wound an innocent being.

Dusk shrugged. "Depends. You gonna be like every other person out there? Should I kill you?" She looked at the cigarettes. "Dude...those stink. Like...really bad..." She stood up and raided his food. "You got any chocolate?"
She found some. "And...don't you know?" She laughed bitterly, but softly. "History repeats itself. If it's happened once, it's bound to happen again."

"It all depends if you really do piss me off." He dragged his cig and let the smoke out between his lips. "These are the only things they are selling. All the good stuff died along time ago." 'Just like the rest of me...Or whatever was left'. He thought wryly. "You are right about that history but it hasn't been the first time it's happened." 'I should know, I'm an old as man.' Kyoshi finished his cig but didn't light another one. It was clear that she didn't like it so it was pointless to continue it until she leaves.

Dusk shrugged. "Fine. I just don't get it. If you don't like something, why deal with it?" That's one of the things she was known for. If Dusk didn't like something, she left. That's why she didn't live with Zaine. She didn't like the feeling of needing something.
I can handle this on my own! She had told him. I don't need your help all the time! I'll get a job, and I'll make my own money!
Yeah...so she became a thief. She survived, but she often wondered if it was worth it.
"So..." She went out of her memory. "When you gonna kick me out?"

"I have to deal with it because....because...." Why was he even telling her? She was just some random person. He shrugged and got a drink of water. "I'm not kicking you out." Stomping out of the kitchen he went into the room and retrieve a pillow and blanket. "The rain isn't going to let up soon so you might as well stay the night if you want. considering that you don't know me, I'm giving you the coach." He layed both objects on the sofa and turned to her to see if she would object.

Dusk looked at him, not trusting at all. "And...since I don't know you, and you don't know me at all..." Other than me being a thief... "Why would you let me stay?" She crossed her arms and gave him an incredulous look. "Even Zaine didn't let me stay with him this quickly..."
She wasn't objecting to the idea...well...maybe a little. But Dusk didn't understand the thought of doing something for someone you didn't know. Heck...the only people Dusk would even consider doing something for were Zaine and Mist.
And that one guy with the brother. She thought. Shut up! That was a one time thing and it will never happen again!

((it's not too late. There's no real plot yet. Just read the basic story line in my first post, and then make a profile, and go with it! No real rules cept no god characters...those bug me...a lot...other than that, enjoy!))

Kyoshi slapped his hand over his face. Again this chick couldn't- There was a reason for it. She must have experience something terriable that is messed her up for life! He knew that all to well. "If you already forgot it's still raining, harder than ever and your little companion might not want to travel in the rain too much and.....like I said before I really don't want Zaine in my face, because I really will put his six feet under." He turned around, closing his bedroom door with a slam and locked it. Collasping on his stomache on the bed, his eyes closed. He had too many things on his mind and it was crucial that he rest for the worst job in his life. On one hand he would be getting the biggest sum of money in the world but then again he had to work with....her.

fenix saw that the rain wasnt gonna let up, he yawned and quickly glanced to the door and turned back to mist "we should go inside, its getting kinda dark"

Dusk looked at the door, and sighed. The reminder of Mist being out there made her want to leave. Yeah, it was storming but she'd live. Dusk had been out in storms before, they sucked...but she refused to stay in a house with a man that she didn't even know.
Off to Zaine's... She thought. Sliding open the door, she groaned. Normally, she could shadow shift. But today she had used it more than normal, and Dusk didn't want to pass out from over working herself and be stuck in a wall. "Cya dude..." She said, not knowing if she would be heard over the rain or not.
Quickly, Dusk sprinted, only partially closing the door in her rush. I hate the rain...
Zaine stood outside of his door, looking at the rain pouring in front of him. Something was bothering him. I wonder...what's that call that Kyoshi got? He wondered. More than likely it was nothing that he needed to worry about. But...
Having Kyoshi and Dusk in the same room was odd. And when the phone rang...something bugged him. Could they be after her again? He thought. Maybe...dear Goddess...I hope not...

Without knowing Kyoshi was knocked out but there was this slight muffle of a voice in the other room and the sliding door opening and closing half way. His brain didn't registered it. As he slept soundlessly, his nightmares began again. Sometimes they were so really that is was hard to distinguish what was real and what was fantasy. Everything were flashes of faces or lights. His past came up at him all over again, and everytime it was harder to wake up from it. Tossing and turning on his bed the sheets were tangled around his legs, sweat was falling down his forhead. Kyo gritted his teeth to keep from screaming out in agony at the visions. Clutching the bedsheets to find some anchor it was no use. It was like every night, this nightmare repeated itself. Though what layed ahead in the morning was not what he had ever expected.
