((Kii! Aw, I'm missed; lol, sorry Strider. At first I had no time because I was playing Xbl, then I started to play my new Harvest Mon game, and then me and Rayne's friend Moni abducted me yesterday. ^^" I just love L4D versus...))
The captain growled and forced himself to get up, despite feeling woozy. He swayed and leaned against a tree for support, eyes never leaving Strider. He debated whether to go or not. Either way, he would be a dead man. Finally, he shook his head and went back to his phoenix form. He eyed the Keepers in front of him and said in a scratchy voice, "Ach, all you half-breeds are the same." He referred to Strider's half elf, half human look. "I will enjoy tearing others like you apart, instead of listening to mind-numbing proclamations of loyalty." He took off into the sky, flying as fast as he could, still seething and trying not to black out.
Echo began to hear screams of panic break the silence, and wondered if he should join in. He decided against it, prisoners were always taken after one sided battles like these. A slight ruffling sound sounded above him, but he didn't need to look up to see who was above him. One of the special phoenixes was his link to any phoenixes running errands for him, her telepathy abilities proving that many times. "He is returning." She remarked. Echo nodded, knowing that his captain was coming back, and hopefully with a captive.
Cher stopped picking up what she had bent down to get. She slipped out of the factory's doors, looking around experimentally. It was still pretty early, but she wanted to make sure. She climbed up a gutter stretching up the corner of the building, pulling herself onto the roof. The forest was still dark, though she could make out a pale dirt road winding through the trees. Were the workers coming early, or was that a Keeper's car?

((Well then I completely understand and agree with you......L4D versus is nice. 3nodding )) -Strider packed the unconcious Keeper over his shoulder- "Cher!" -Strider called up to Cher- "Got an unconcious Keeper here. A pheonix used some sort of drug on him. We need to hurry. I don't know what side effects the chemical could have."

((Omg, you has that game too? eek ))
Cher stared a little longer at the road before looking down distractedly. "A phoenix? Here?" She went to the corner of the roof and glanced down, seeing Strider with someone over his shoulder. There were a couple of phoenixes with the Keepers, including the one called Chronos. But if an enemy one had found them, then it wouldn't be too long until more of them came to attack. She climbed back onto the gutter and slid down it with both hands jumping off when she was near the ground. She shook her hands back and forth as she went over to Strider, thinking of getting some nice gloves later. "Put him down, I'll see if he's okay or not." Cher instructed, taking out a square of green glass.
The captain landed on the edge of the limb where Echo was, noticing that another phoenix was perched above him. Echo glanced at him briefly, frowning when he saw him alone. "Well?" He asked. The captain shifted uncomfortably before answering. "There was another one, he prevented me from taking a captive." The other phoenix cast him a look and said contemptuously, "And you couldn't dispose of him and take the other without a hassle? Now they know that we know where they are, fool." The captain glared at her. "The damned half-breed appeared from thin air, not to mention, it struck first." He swayed in place, then flinched at his choice of words. Echo looked back to the city and stayed silent for a while. He could use a prisoner from this attack, but he chose not to. "Then you'll have to go to Chronos yourself." The captain blinked and sighed inwardly. Atleast he wasn't going to be punished, this was the better alternative. Echo went over to the captain and put his face where he figured the phoenix would hear him, then whispered his message. He went back to his spot and sat down, his legs hanging off of the branch. "If you get caught, again, you know what you have to do. Do not let anyone hear what is intended for Chronos." The captain took a breath and nodded, looking over to the other phoenix. She closed her eyes for a moment before speaking to him. "Chronos is away from the others, but is getting closer. He is west of the group you encountered." She opened her eyes again. "This time, don't mess up, captain." The captain growled at her, taking off again to find him.

Cher knelt and waved the glass above the Keeper's unconscious body, moving it in the areas where major veins were. It started to glow a dull green light and grew warm. The half-elf shook her head and moved it away from the man, the glass getting cooler. She put it back in her pocket and looked up at Strider's concerned face. "He's pretty healthy, there's nothing in him whatsoever. That was a kind of scrying glass, it helps to locate symptoms. It would have found any chemicals, harmful or not. Are you sure he drank something, or got injected with a chemical?"
Echo swung his legs back and forth aimlessly and watched the others swooping around in the air, some picking up people for the fun of it. The phoenix was silent also before speaking aloud. "You let him off easy, are you feeling alright?" Echo laughed and stretched his arms up, hearing them give small pops. "You give me too much bad credit. Sometimes things get done better if you don't beat it into someone's skull." "But, don't you always do that?" Echo gave another loud laugh and smiled up at her. "I'm in a good mood right now, don't spoil it."

"Not sure but the pheonix had a kind of potion that im going to assume he used on this poor man. Or he could have just knocked him out. In any case we have to get out of here." -Strider tensed up he felt other people comeing- "We have to get out now. People are comeing." -Strider got up and jumped up ontop of the building and saw more cars comeing. Military cars- "Cher! Military vehicles comeing fast."

((**Coming, not comeing...))
Cher cursed to herself and bent down to get the unconscious Keeper. Military cars, of course, they were painted in camouflage. That's why she heard them but couldn't see them. And with the still dark hours of the morning, they more than blended in. She slipped her arm underneath the Keeper's and lifted him up slightly, stumbling a little from his weight. "E-Elizabeth, everyone!" She called out. "We have to go!" How would they military have known what they were up to?
The captain breathed easier when he was back in the air. Though he would have preferred to be with the others in the attack, he found that being sent away was better. He flew high for a while as he passed around the factory from before, then swooped lower as he turned west. He smelled a bit of smoke from below and figured he was atleast close.

"What's wrong?" Elizabeth asked coming out of the building. She saw one of their men laying on the ground and wondered what she missed. She carried the last biocircuit into the chopper. Everyone else had come out as well with the last of the stuff. She looked in both; it seemed they had most of everything. Good enough.. She looked at Cher and Strider, a confused look to their urgancy.

Cher moved her arm to hold onto the Keeper better. She shook her head to clear it when Elizabeth looked her way and answered. "Strider saw some military cars coming here. I heard them before, but I didn't see anything." She glanced at the helicopters and noticed that they had plenty of supplies loaded onto them. "He's okay though, just knocked out." She gestured with her head to the man.
The captain flew lower now, seeing the light of a fire through the trees. Almost by instinct he knew that Chronos was down there, and by the other phoenix's abilities and current link to him. He went below the treeline and settled onto a branch behind the one eating something, nodding to himself that he'd found him.

Elizabeth sighed. "Alright, lets get going before they get here." She turned and counted heads. Everyone was here. "Okay, everyone on board!" She turned back to Cher. "Need help with him?"
Chronos tensed up as soon as the other phoenix had seen his fire. He put down his food and stood up and turned around quickly, his eyes already glowing a bright red and the fire blazing up around him. "What do you want?" He growled looking up at the other beast.

Cher blinked in surprise when Strider hit the ground, which was more than a few feet from the roof. Well, she thought, He did jump out of a moving helicopter... She didn't think about it anymore when she heard the sound of the cars coming in her hearing range. She headed to on of the helicopters and paused, looking back to Elizabeth, suddenly a little shy.
The captain's beak cracked open in what looked like a crude smile. Yes, this was definitely him. A little less fiery than when he'd last seen him, especially since he was in his "human" form. "What everyone wants. An end to this war." He answered, humor in his tone. Echo nodded to himself when his adviser remarked that the captain had found Chronos. He should've sent the phoenix there first instead.

Elizabeth smiled at Cher as she got on the other helicopter. When everyone was on, they started up, and caught air, taking flight. They headed back to their home.
Chronos snorted. "I doubt that we have the same outcomes..." He kept the fire going, thinking of what to do. He didn't want Elizabeth to come home to the forest on fire.... She might even have the armies try to KILL him! He didn't want that chance. "What are you doing here, then?" Chronos asked coldly.

Cher sat in her seat in silence for a while, listening to the loud whirring of the helicopter's blades. Her fingers fumbled with her mechanical crossbow, working the roller that had the groove in the middle for the bowstring. Finally, she turned Elizabeth and spoke. "Why did...the military show up? Do you know?"
The captain shrugged, or did his best expression of, his shoulders. "I'm here to deliver a message." He said with his raspy voice, then paused. "Especially for you, Chronos." He added for emphasis.

Elizabeth let out a sigh. "No, I don't." She thought for a moment. "Yet then again, who's military was it? Human or Phoenix?" She thought on this, unsure."
"What is it? Is it from... Him" Chronos was sure the phoenix knew he was talking of Echo. Chronos tried as much to avoid his name.
